I know you think that tells a good story, but that's based on you knowing less than nothing about economics, isn't it? Trade deficits =/ bad As evidence you can compare US GDP growth to that of Germany or Japan since the 1980's. Who grew more? The US, with it's constant trade deficits, or the the Japs and the Gerrys, with their constant surpluses? Hmmmmm.... Hmmmmmm..... It's a grand mystery:2 points

The red hat cult dont do "facts" You'd think that if you show them the facts, that theyre going to wake up. Thats not going to happen. Remember, you're not challenging their opinion, your challenging their identity. So when confronted, they double down. Even when the evidence is undeniable. Even if the lies are obvious. In their minds, any views that differ must be fraudulent. They need to believe it, because believing the lie makes them feel safe. Their tribe is where they feel safe. Their tribe is where they belong. In their minds, belonging always beats being right. Its almost as if the more logical and evidence based an arguments is, the more desperate they become to hold onto their delusions. Which is overwhelmingly obvious of many of the posters here. Nothing will change in the minds of the red hats, until the lies become more costly than the comfort the lies bring. They've lost all humanity and empathy for those outside their tribe. Remember, empathy and compassion are evolved states of being. They require the mental capacity to step past our most primal urges. In the last few years, the red hats have come to believe that weaponized cruelty is part of some well-thought out Master plan. Cruelty is seen by some as an adroit cudgel to gain power. Empathy and kindness are considered weak. I'm here to tell you that when someone's path through this world is marked with acts of cruelty, they have failed the first test of an advanced society. They never forced their animal brain to evolve past its first instinct. They never forged new mental pathways to overcome their own instinctual fears. And so their thinking and problem solving lacks the imagination and creativity that emotionally mature people have in spades. Over my many years in politics and business, I have found one thing to be universally true. The most evolved folks in the room are the most empathetic, emotionally mature, and humane. In a World full of evolving individuals, the red hats are a clan of cave men. They're not even intelligent enough to be capable of understanding how stupid they are. So, when you talk to these fools, always remember...... They're idi0ts.2 points

I meant to address that part of his stupid post as well. I see gas prices going up, but that's pretty much it.2 points

Trip for Carney to go to Kiev: $50M Canadian taxpayer dollars promised to Ukraine: $5B New business for Brookfield from Ukraine that same week: $5B CBC's evaluation of the trip: Priceless Cost per year of Carney's trips: $1B Value of all new trade deals from carney's trips, combined: $0 Number of pillows bitten: 3 But hey, at least the cost of living is going up here.2 points

Yes, old stupid baby boomers who have their houses paid off - sitting on pensions drinking coffee - screwing over their own grandkids out of their own selfish needs to protect their entitlements - truly the dumbest and most cowardly generation this country has ever produced.2 points

They eliminated Kirk...it's almost like a dead pool figuring out which one they want assassinated next. Musk of course...Nick Shirley...Rubio...many others...they'd be dancing like ghouls in the streets. Diana Ross used to get her limo driver to go back to the old neighborhood...just to be sure that things haven't changed.2 points

In order for the woke types to really win, they'll need to eliminate/hide/banish the various Elon types now watching their every move. Possible in a place like Canada/UK/Oz/Kiwi...less so in America.2 points

Correct. The euro elite see north Americans a mutts. As my mother said about this...'I'd trust a mutt before a purebred anyday.' The EU is doomed. The east Germans are ready to separate again. Holland, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Czech, Slovakia and a goodly percent of the French have had enough of this...globalist shit.2 points

I came across a drone off the west coast of Vancouver Island last year. I wondered, what the heck is that, and pulled over for a closer look. It was about 3/4 the size of a stand up paddleboard. It had solar panels and a couple of antennas and radar reflector sticking out of some sort of brain box fibre-glassed into place that probably also contained the drive and electronics. It even had red and green running lights. It was being remotely operated from Victoria University. It had a camera that turned to look at us as we stopped and it bobbed up and down when we waved at it. It couldn't have been cuter if a sea otter was riding it.2 points

Zelensky doesn't assassinate his political opposition. They chose to live under a murderer's thumb. There's something wrong with them.2 points

Again, this logic doesn't follow. The fact that I haven't said anything bad about Iran doesn't mean I won't. I think it's a barbaric, repressive regime run by religious zealots that spread terror and instability throughout the Middle East and beyond, and the world would be better off without them. That doesn't make the Orange Blob's misadventures any less foolish though, does it? Now what?? 🤡2 points

Yes, and you're an under-appreciated genius. Why doesn't the world get that?2 points

Now...hear me out please. It is rather evident now that Isreal is "causing" the current Middle East war and ... bullshit. They've even bought the US government as they're attack dog. Think about that. Isreal...a country the size of New Jersey roughly...has taken control of the US foreign policy and military. Who knows how this happened...Epstien...money...religion...I dont know...and I no longer care. So I'll ask you all "The Evil Questions". Is this worth the cost? Just how is it important to let a bunch of Yidish Russians drag us into this disaster? And are these Azkenazi...for the most part...really going to p1ss us all off so much that they lose Palestine...again?1 point

The known expenditures as best I can find were ~$1.5M for 2025. Just a slight variance from the $1B comments... Lol... He's the Prime Minister. Travelling commercial isn't an option.1 point

Yes, you always say that when you have jackshit to back up anything you say. Fact is which is easy enough to see in the thread is that you've done nothing except copy and paste about completely irrelevant bullet points of Cameco's evaluation, 2025 throughput, political and environmental criticism and a couple other useless points. You couldn't even answer what or why you copy and pasted. Clown...1 point

Go ahead. Believe the news coverage from the side that started the war and accuse the reports from non partisam countries of supporting Iran. We sane Canadians will continue to trust CBC - BBC over anything American.1 point

In either case I think both levels of our governments are far enough away from the ground where people need healthcare that accountability to those people is easy to avoid. Germany, often touted as having a better system than ours, is far more decentralized than ours. Close enough to the ground that people matter and are better positioned to influence policymaking. Germany: Highly decentralized via approximately 1,000 autonomous statutory sickness funds. These funds are regional or employment-based and operate independently of the federal government for daily management and funding. Canada: Operates a single-payer system where provincial and territorial governments act as the sole insurers within their respective regions. There is no choice between different public insurers. It occurs to me that Japan simply being an island and a much geographically smaller place would similarly make it more difficult for administrators to distance themselves from the public they serve.1 point

It's a forever war...don't you know? 😄 Anyway you cut it, Iran's mullahs aren't doing their best right now. Who wants to be the next 'supreme leader'?1 point

Right, yup, totally. Americans spent the last 30 years pushing "lop-sided trade" deals that didn't help them at all. TOTALLY MAKES SENSE. 🤡1 point

On Facebook this morning, many of my semi-erstwhile Liberal friends are either scoffing at Pierre's move to go on Rogan or freaking-out about it in a not so subtle fight-or-flight response. Rather amusing, really.1 point

Do you believe that you've given your opinion on something when you make the sarcastic bullet points, or is that just for kicks? If you choose not to validate and/or discuss your comments after making them that's your call. Your mind is too cluttered with anti-liberal shìt to even think properly...1 point

Your claims are stupid, illogical and have zero basis in fact You have no evidence that Carney is greedy or corrupt self-dealing in fact the evidence of his life suggests the opposite. If he had accepted the invitation to run as a conservative instead of a liberal you would be singing his praises You are just a silly partisan hack.1 point

Comedy because of two party rule over elections and the resulting stranglehold on outcomes. Governor Jesse Ventura was a delightful exception...glad I voted for him. True...Americans often vote their "pocketbook" cause they only have themselves in the end, including the Catholics.1 point

You should stop deflecting and try to keep up and on topic... I'm not playing any games. I'm simply asking you questions that seem to have different answers or reasoning. Just a guess though.... your admiration of Russia and want for the US to have as a larger trade partner puts you in the minority of American's thoughts on this.1 point

So here's what you do. You call in the army CoS and say "Tell me what you want this week and I'll order it through a sole source contract. No, we're not going to wait five years to 'identify' and begin procurement of a new tank. There are realistically only two on the market anyway. The Leopard, which will take forever, given the backlog, or the Panther. They're still 'contemplating' what they want for medium tracked combat vehicles? You have a week to contemplate and then tell me so I can buy it. If you can't, pack your bags and I'll appoint someone else to your job. You don't know what you need for infantry anti-armor? Well figure it out within a week or I'll ask the British and US what they use and buy one of those. Subs? There's only two in the running and everyone knows the Korean one is better for us and can be delivered faster. They're delaying in hopes of extracting more economic benefits by twisting their arms to try and get an auto factory here. There is no time for this bullshit. Do sole-source contracts immediately.1 point

Huh... there is nothing I want from this so of course it is what it is. Yes, you're obviously very pro-Trump and very pro-Putin. You can find better people to admire than them, can't you. Superpowers are not forever. It's tough to be one when you have few friends.1 point
