Obviously you know it's correct or you would have some sort of counter argument. Instead of worrying about the next let's talk about the last prime ministers. Harper flew all around the world too, but you know what he came back with? Actual trade arrangements that benefited Canada substantially. You know who didn't despite flying all over the world? Trudeau. In fact we lost trade arrangements when he flew around the world. And you know who isn't delivering any trade arrangements now? Carney despite having flown around the world two or three times Hey when we get the next government in office if it's conservative I'm pretty sure they'll fly around the world and actually come back with trade arrangements again. It's what they do But if you make five or six trade related trips where your stated purpose is to get new trade agreements which is exactly what carney has done and you come back with nothing other than you gave away our car market to the Chinese, That's not impressive regardless whether it's liberal or conservative3 points

I am not big on boycotts over political views generally speaking, especially for art, well... because I would never watch a movie, listen to music, or do just about anything ever again. I watched the half time show... but what irked me was that it was in Spanish. That was stupid. I understood nothing and just tuned out.3 points

Even by your low standards that's a ridiculously biased and stoopid statement. When the next Con becomes PM and visits Britain or Japan to enhance trade you'll say the same thing of course. No, your hypocrisy will get the better(worst) of you.2 points

This is the problem. I think some Americans look at the Canadian political map and think they're such large areas that vote tory that it must be pretty close. They don't realize that Ontario has a third of our people and Quebec has 20% as well.2 points

I've mentioned in a few posts here, and in more on other forums like reddit and X, that all Carney's jetting around to (allegedly) make trade deals to diversify our trade from the US is basically performative bullshit that will accomplish nothing. The reason is fairly simple in that our ports are at or near capacity. They couldn't handle an increase of 5% in trade. The only effort at expanding them is two new slips in Montreal that have been under construction for years. Given the timelines, no notable expansion in our port facilities (including or excluding pipelines) is going to happen anytime in the next decade. I was also peripherally aware of some of the deficiencies in our ports, but not quite how backward they are. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-carney-may-accept-the-world-as-it-is-but-we-cannot-accept-canada-as-it/1 point

Much like their phony trade diversification plan, this one runs up against some pretty bald and obviously unworkable numbers. With great fanfare, Carnival Carney unveiled his new EV plan, which is basically Justin Trudeau's EV plan with another name. Instead of making the manufacturers sell mostly EVs he plans to increase the tailpipe emissions requirements to the point they will still basically not have any choice but to sell mostly EVs. Let the market decide? Not a chance! Big government knows what's good for you! The plan is for 75% of vehicles sold to be EVs within ten years (from 15% today), and 90% five years later. Ok. Where's the power for that going to come from? Canadians pioneered much of the technology needed to pull electricity from rivers or uranium, including the CANDU nuclear reactor and high-voltage transmission lines. Whole global industries — most notably the energy-intensive aluminum sector — were dominated by Canada for no other reason than that we had the excess power to run them.Article content Everywhere from Quebec to B.C., Canada’s muscular electricity sector was a point of national pride. In the 1960s, the Quebec Liberal Party printed posters of a clenched fist holding bolts of lightning as a symbol of the province’s hydroelectricity sector.Article content But now, at the precise moment that electricity is becoming one of the world’s most consequential commodities, Canada is barely able to keep its own lights on. Canada, virtually alone among developed countries, has been in decline on this metric for much of the last 30 years, with the indicator taking a noticeable dive in just the last decade. In 1995, the average Canadian lived in a country where their personal share of national electrical generation was 18,937 kilowatt-hours (kWh). As of the last count in 2024, it’s now at 16,023 kWh. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/first-reading-how-canada-squandered-its-most-valuable-national-asset For the technically challenged1 point

What we've failed to do in the past is now coming back to haunt us. Canada is a resource rich country full of the kinds of resources most of the rest of the world is scrambling for more than ever. Yet we have no plans to extract the resources out of the earth or the infrastructure to get them to market. And on top of that we have all these fu*king laws which makes it almost impossible to do so. Sorry, but Carney flying around the world signing MOU's isn't going to replace losing the U.S. as a major trading partner all by itself. To put it simply, our economy is on life support, and GDP indicates we're close to being in recession. What we have to do should be glaringly obvious to any observer.1 point

^That's^ what I hate the most about left4rd disphits. Here's a sample of what the Dems/FBI did, just during Russian collusion: set up a private/secret office at Perkins Coie, where Hillary's associates could meet in secret with the FBI to discuss the Russian-made dossier hooked Hillary's lawyer up with a swipe card for FBI HQ so that he could meet with them directly lied for months about the level of authenticity, corroboration and validity of the dossier, both to the FISA Court and the mainstream media lied about the existence of a secret server connecting Trump with the Kremlin through Alfa Bank or some crap like that leaked known lies about Trump associates, by name fabricated evidence and provided it to the FISA Court tried to coerce false testimony about Trump by offering reduced sentences to people who were never convicted of collusion-related offences That's just the starter version of the crimes committed by the FBI during their witch hunt, which was only done to influence elections. In addition to their lies about Russian collusion they: came up with their own FBI-created plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer -> used entrapment to try to get people to commit crimes in relation to their plot, but failed, and indicted them anyways -> had more of their own agents and informants involved in their plot than there were actual conspirators -> solved their own plot just one month before the 2020 election as an October surprise, so that there wasn't enough time for anyone to find out that it was their own plot, or about their entrapment, until after the election lied about the Hunter laptop before the 2020 election had dozens of agent provocateurs at J6, but lied and said that they had none there, while people were being held in jail without a trial for years The FBI operated as the Dems' personal racketeering operation for years, in cooperation with the MSM, committing a laundry list of crimes and lying hundreds of times, while the imbecile who started this thread shrugged off all of that, and now the little imbecile somehow jumped to the conclusion that "an investigation into the Georgia election just has to be illegitimate 💩", just based on opinions and ZERO evidence whatsoever. I'm so done considering leftards human. They have zero intelligence, zero accountability, no scruples, no morals, a complete lack of ethics, they're shameless, and have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I can't even think of the last time that a leftist here, or anywhere for that matter, said anything honest or intelligent.1 point

To my surprise, Canada is actually a net importer of electricity. Here's how the plan is likely being set up to unfold....first they'll force all of us into buying EV's (which I don't really have a problem with), but then they'll ration electricity usage so it won't really make any sense to buy one. They're also discussing about doubling the power grid and making it net zero by 2050. Hah! I'll believe it when I see it.1 point

Blue Terrorists calling for Trump to be killed. But it is a self own. They are comparing him to the one perfect man. They are raising Trump to the level of God. Obviously, that is blasphemous. But I guess it is good to know that they view Trump so highly and themselves as the Romans and Jews that killed Jesus using spurious logic.1 point

100%. 55 EC votes that go to the Dems every time, no matter what. They wouldn't even have to campaign here. The CBC would run their campaign here for them, and lie and slander the GOP candidate for free. Well, ok, maybe it would cost $675M taxpayer dollars, but taxpayer dollars are free from a Liberal POV. I bet that 50% of them couldn't name 4 provinces.1 point

If you mean federally empowered law enforcement agents then you're right Or do you support vigilante justice and violence? Are you suggesting that perhaps bands of armed citizens should be going around and shooting Mexicans rather than allowing ice to address them for example? You seem to be advocating citizen violence. You understand that's how people get shot right? Why is it that people on the left always go to the most violent solution they can think of when they don't like what's happening1 point
-
But I just can't tell you how to vote or even check how you did vote. The only people that ice would scare away are illegals that might get arrested. I mean it might be a good day to bring your papers with you just in case I suppose if you happen to have been born outside of the US but if you're legally in the country and legally a citizen how would the presence of ice affect you? Just go vote1 point

The only thing you proved is you're a twat.
