A quote attributed to Keynes: “When the facts change, I change my mind - what do you do, sir?” ― John Maynard Keynes The facts in Canada have most certainly changed over the last year.2 points

If I were the executor of the estate or the guardian of the kids, I would strongly consider suing the group that trained and deployed her. Their training was inadequate and they taught her tactics that put her in harms way. Had these two just stood on the side lines blowing whistles like moroʻns, she would still be alive and her kids would not be orphaned. Ice Watch will probably be bankrupt soon.2 points

No, I don't even agree with the slogan. But there is structural value in having some different perspectives. One thing that Canadians are not great at is being entrepreneurial. We are very compliant, and defer to authority more than other cultures. Sure but what's he going to say on the topic? I would agree with him more if he had said Muslim Canadians are Canadians like the rest of us. Canada has a melting pot, whether we want to admit it or not.2 points

No, but unless you think the Chinese model where mono-ethnic, mono-cultured and religiously suppressed allegiance to the Party is the best model, you probably have to acknowledge that a certain level of diversity is pretty good.2 points

So with that in mind why are you still supporting the liberals? The vast majority of liberals even today voted for this. They knew what they were doing was wrong let's not kid ourselves. Like you said I think he wanted to look tough like his Dad. So how can this be tolerated? If this goes unpunished then what happens to the next conservative government if they decide to come down on a protest they don't like? Will you complain then when you didn't complain before? Look at what's happening in the states and how many millions of times I have said to you that when the liberals were doing bad things in the states if you don't speak up then sooner or later the conservatives will do something you don't like and it's too late to convince anyone then. And then they got trump. You don't think that can happen here? I assume you're not that naive. So how will you hold the government to account for what they did when they stole the human rights of people unlawfully and knowlingly?1 point

He was admitted into the hospital, that's on the record and they've acknowledged that. And this is what he was reported to be treated for. If these aren't the injuries he was treated for then what was he treated for? And regardless of what it was he still got hit hard enough to have to go to the hospital to be looked at. So the answer to your question is not quite as gullible as you. Biatch hit him with a car, injured him bad enough to be treated at a hospital, and she deserved to be shot as she was acting in a violent and irresponsible fashion against the instructions of police You do seem like the kind that laughs at the idea of a police officer being injured. I'm sure that she and her girlfriend felt the same way. Right up until she got a bullet in the head. But hey, glad you're finding it funny1 point

Yeah. It's kind of obvious if you actually look around. Why did the Dems and their MSM accomplices pretend that M Brown was the 'Gentle Giant' for 3 months after the videos of him violently robbing that store came out? None of that rioting needed to happen. why did they pretend that G Floyd was the new 'Gentle Giant' when they knew about his violent past, and K Ellison had the bodycam footage under his thumb? None of that rioting needed to happen What divides the country more than manufactured race riots? "You can always get one half of the poor people to kill the other half". there are people who benefit from DEI, and they're the angriest, loudest, emptiest vessels in the room. They keep the hate going non-stop why did our gov't in Canada pretend that there was a genocide against 215 kids in Kamloops when they knew that never happened? why did our gov't insinuate that the the MMIW were all killed by white men, while that's the least likely scenario? why does our gov't constantly pretend that white men commit most of the terrorist attacks? It's absurd. You can only name 2 off the top of your head, and there were several islamic terrorist attacks here: they're only 1% of our population... why does our gov't like to pretend that conservatives commit the most acts of political violence? They don't even commit 1% of political violence. BLM easily did 10,000x the destruction of Jan 6thers. J6 was a few hours, with a few hundred people, and all they did was smash a few windows and bust 1 or 2 doors. BLM rioted for hours and hours, several days a week, in multiple cities, for years. Plus there's Antifa. And now there are the ICE riots. Leftists are rioting an awful lot, destructively, and this time it's to protect pedophiles. Why did the CBC try so hard to characterize the Freedom Convoy as destructive and violent, but never said that they were "in support of youths who are being forced to vaccinate"? They constantly put a positive spin on BLM riots, described the BLM protests and riots, describing them as "protesting anti-black violence"? After the Freedom Convoy left, months after they started, there wasn't a broken window or a McDonald's box laying on the ground. Leftists kill people and burn down buildings at their riots, that's an undeniable fact. out of time for now. there's way more...1 point

I stated that Carney had previously made a statement to the effect that oil and gas should remain in the ground, or at least the majority of it. The search engine answer did reply that Carney had in fact made that statement about oil, gas and coal. I also stated that Bill C69 had been nicknamed the 'no more pipelines' Bill and that is also true. If the things I post(which have been reported in some media outlets) offend you somehow, that's your problem, not mine. Not happening.1 point

A pauper doesn't 'demand'? To use a phrase, 'Canada had no cards'? China took the opportunity to poke the U.S. in the eye .... I'd remind you that China doesn't 'elect' - there is no public pressure to do anything. China's 'win' was political, not economic. I'm sure you'd agree that Justin could never have negotiated like Carney - but then he was such a fool he wouldn't have wanted to.1 point

Why?? The PM is the sharp end of party policy? "In Canada, it is generally not allowed for job applications to ask for personal information regarding race, gender, or other protected characteristics. Such questions are prohibited because they can directly or indirectly lead to discrimination in the hiring process, violating human rights laws like the Canadian Human Rights Act and provincial human rights code" "Prohibited Topics Employers should not ask about the following in job applications or interviews: Race, Colour, Ancestry, or Ethnic Origin: Questions about your ethnic background, where you are from, or the origin of your name. Sex, Gender Identity, or Gender Expression: Questions asking if you are male/female, your gender identity, or your pronouns. Lol I think you are putting lipstick on a pig re: China. Any domestic comfort they enjoy has been on the backs of Western investment / technology / science Those with only a modicum of knowledge re: China's history would agree, that China has been akin to the rise of a Phoenix. I would rather have a stable albeit Communist country feeding 1.5 billion people than an unstable, nuc power with 1.5 billion starving people. Nixon and Kissinger deserve much credit (Pyrrhic?) - that said the alternative of locking China out of global economics would have without a doubt led to war.1 point

1. So you feel that there is a cabal (organized group or unorganized let's say) who actively wish to do harm to their country's interests by weakening its institutions by elevating unqualified people ? Are they perhaps ASSISTED by people who think it's an actual good idea ? Or does anyone who supports DEI programs at any level KNOW it's a bad idea and just want to hurt their nation ? I'm trying to follow your logic here, to see how such a scheme could possibly be executed for decades without strong evidence coming out. 2. Yes, I get along great with everyone and the money is good. The way I see it, there are social "norms" that are just followed, but sometimes these get eroded... mostly by money. Trust and Loyalty is one of these. Although "trust" is just in the capacity of staying in a job and not jumping, even when it's in ones own interests. My sister once told me that she felt "company loyalty" was in decline. Her husband, my brother-in-law, had been in the same company for maybe 20 years, whereas I had skipped jobs every 1-2 years - which was normal. 3. I completely and utterly disagree. My favourite jobs were in analysis (can you tell ?) and strategy. May I ask what field you are in ? An old girlfriend was a physics genius, and she got a job with a large defense company I believe it was. They didn't have room for them, so they had to house them in part of a manufacturing facility. She said the plant employees were visibly hostile to her, a young woman, and her cohorts who seemingly just sat in a room and chatted around some whiteboard squiggles all day while they worked with their bodies, to the point of fatigue. And of course she made several times their salary. I'm reminded of Peter Fonda's speech in Easy Rider... wherein he talks about the townies hating the hippies because they reflected true freedom, versus buying and selling yourself on the market constantly. Which is what we all do. Unless we're retired of course...1 point

............ all these folks are within the law claiming asylum The backlog of asylum cases awaiting a hearing is over 2000000. This backlog to receive mentioned 'hearings' to determine legitimacy has led to delays of over 6 years. Are those claiming asylum breaking any law? No Is there a National feeling of being punked? YES! Who is to blame? Political hacks. Justin Trudeau, although criticizing the U.S. for denying immigration was very quick to implement the so-called, 'safe- third-country-agreement'. The Quebec immigration crossing ( Roxham Road) in Quebec was closed, March 2023, by the Federal Government citing the STCA - in response to Quebec political pressure.1 point

That’s been a repeat claim of his and his spokespeople Sometimes they say 7 wars, IIRC sometimes they say 8 wars. For the record he has ended zero wars. Dude it’s an attack whether he’s the legitimate leader or not, whether it was justified or not. An attack is not a subjective term Attack means to use aggressive force against someone. . We attacked the Nazis in Dday. Americans attacked the Japanese at Iwo Jima. Dozens of Venezuelan soldiers were killed and power plants were hit. It’s literally the definition of “attack”. Words don’t care about feelings. And stop calling scything a “lie” when it isn’t one. No I’m just calling out rhe hypocrisy of the right’s endless stream of lies and baseless accusations and then you scream “LIE!!!” whenever they hear something they’d rather not hear1 point

That has a lot more basis in fact than the nonsense you spew. If you can say Obama encouraged BLM rioters simply because he acknowledged racism is real even while calling for peace then I can state the obvious that Trump got something he deeply coveted from someone desperate for an audience with him1 point

A deal with China was always going to be painful. Overall, Carney probably hurt himself politically by hurting Ontario and helping farmers but that’s what he’s supposed to do - govern in the national interest for everybody including those who didn’t vote for him. Of course, Ford was always going to complain. Canada would a lot easier to run if we didn’t have 13 guys and gals who think they’re as important as the PM. BYD is already the biggest EV car maker in the world. We need to stay familiar with what they are producing and toughen our guys up because the competition is only going to get hotter. In a sane world we’d be working with the US, Europe, Japan etc to force China to revalue its currency and produce these goods at a fair rate but Trump has upended all that. He seems to have it in for us and Greenland far more than for China.1 point

How far do you go to make it equal, do we make sure skinny, fat people are fairly represented, what about disabled/ handicapped are they fairly represented, smart and mentally challenged, LGBTQ people and straight people are they fairly represented...We could go on and on.... Here is a idea how about we hire the best qualified for the job...instead of trying to correct mistakes from the past ( which we today have no control over) we level the playing field...Those companies or institutions that do not have a fair hire practices could be taken to court OH wait i think we already have laws about that today... You seem to think that white people seem to deserve to be over looked/ punished because of past injustices...done by people who are no longer in charge of anything... ABC: Based on a sampling of preliminary crime statistics from 550 U.S. law enforcement agencies, the year is expected to end with a roughly 20% decrease in homicides nationwide, Jeff Asher, a national crime analyst, told ABC News. USAToday: For the first time in decades, net migration for the United States was likely negative in 2025, and the trend could continue amid President Donald Trump's aggressive immigration enforcement actions, according to a new think tank report. Looks like he did a fine job and the two articles seem to be related. I like how you take your own depravity and blame Trump for it. That takes some big balls to be that ridiculous.1 point

Fine for politics, but not game changing economic reality. Canada will continue to be reliant on majority export to the evil Americans for the foreseeable future, if only because existing trade infrastructure is set up to do so. The tariffs are not likely to survive after Trump, and talking about Canada First diversification is easier said than done...same for the Americans needing Canadian energy, softwood lumber, etc.) I saw a CBC story about polling Canadians on what the future mix should be for "jets" in the way of F-35 or Gripens, and the results varied widely, even by province. Must be the potential jobs employment factor, not military/mission requirements, as they seem to be a secondary consideration. Canada last built fighter aircraft in numbers under license from Northrop (Canadair CF-5/CF-116) over 50 years ago....retired by 1995. Good luck....1 point
