China is not quite that simple. Everything you see today was planned in detail decades ago. Yes, they burn coal now - but guess what - EVERY major economy on this planet used coal to reach their current status. China had to go with coal because they had the ability to transport it. They are rapidly switching to gas now that their pipeline distribution systems are in place (believe it or not they were hard to get permits in most cases). They are also hard at work on small modular reactors as that is how they see the future of energy. You should be able to walk into a Walmart near you sometime soon and buy one. They also have environmental concerns and rules and where it took the West centuries of polluting the crap out of their environment, China will get there not that far behind. Since much of the "green" solar and wind crap is made in China, tree hugging is excellent business for them. Just leaves the mess of unrecyclable blades and panels for us to pollute our environment even more.

You can’t convert gas into electricity without a gas fired power plant. How do you not understand? Batteries don’t create electricity, they just store electricity that’s been generated elsewhere. How do you not understand the difference between storing electricity and storing something that is not electricity and can’t be made from electricity? The problem isn’t that gas fired plants don’t have enough gas to burn during peak times. How do you not understand? This isn’t that complicated. The storage is not “hundreds of times more expensive” than the alternative. The alternative to grid scale batteries is building more gas fired plants to run during peak times, not storing more barrels of gas for the plants that already run during peak time.

It did kill a lot birds though, the mirrors were so powerful birds could catch fire just by flying over them. But that’s nothing to do with actual PV solar which is what almost all solar is. As a result "Specialized High Intensity Training (SHIT) will, of necessity, contain a blended approach combining "common to corps" and individualized trade specific (occupational) training "sandwiched" into an individualized package.
