  1. The Liberal Party is a well-oiled BS factory. Masters at only appearing to do something when they don't want to do it. They're Machiavellian and filled with professional liars with no integrity. Unfortunately, a lot of people only read the headlines and don't look at the details.

  2. Yes, it is a national epidemic. You folks on the left will latch on to far less to push the systemic racism BS. This is just one example among many for the hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants (engaged in more crime than just being here illegally) that has been going on and folks like you on the left don't care about and openly support sanctuary city policies that just let these criminals go rather than alerting ICE to deport them. This is exactly why I rightly pointed out more than this, when I said you don't care about all the rapes, murders, violent crimes, and other criminal activity being perpetrated by ILLEGAL Immigrants.

  3. The only thing Trump's concerned about is bringing manufacturing jobs (and investment) back into the U.S. and putting Americans back to work. Which he appears to be doing. What Reagan warned about was that protectionism eventually kills innovation for the simple lack of competition. We as Canadians have to make do with the cards we've been dealt. Jean Charest made the comment not so long ago that in 10 or 20 years we may realize that this was the time that made us finally get our act together and put our own house in order. He may be right, but it won't help us in the short term. Personally, I think the ads are a bit of a mistake only throwing more fuel on the fire.

  4. I get that but end of the day Ford and team did what they thought best to get the message across. I don't blame him and/or his conservative government at all. It's in Trump's and Carney's interests to get some sort of agreement done and trust this will get smoothed out over the weekend. That said... you have to wonder what the point of any 'agreement' with Trump means because he doesn't honour agreements.

  5. It is nonsensical to blame Ford. This is entirely due to Trump and his unpredictable, erratic behavior. Trump is looking for any excuse to keep the tariffs going because he is opposed to free trade and thinks it somehow is unfair to America to have free trade. We will see how long this lasts if he indeed halts talks. It may be just another one of his negotiating tactics. That's how he thinks.

  6. It's an interesting example of the two-faced nature of the Left who when it comes to crime, anyone under 18 is too young to appreciate the gravity of their actions, and so should not be held responsible for what they do, however brutal, vicious, and violent. But if they're ten years old and want to change genders, they instantly decide that the child knows what's best for it and the hell with what its parents want or say. The way the leftists on the Supreme Court kept cutting back on youths being sentenced as adults has now made it virtually impossible to hold them responsible for their actions. Ignoring the law, ignoring the will of parliament, and hand-waving away all concerns for public safety, they've made it clear they will not tolerate anyone under 18 being sentenced as an adult. No matter what the public or parliament want, do or say. In the summer of 2025, the Supreme Court put adult sentences into impossible territory with a decision called I.M., adding a new requirement that youth be proven to have the “developmental age akin to that of an adult.” That calculation takes a host of factors into account: biological age, sophistication, independence, mental health, behaviour after the crime, among others. Race, too, was made a factor through the guise of systemic discrimination, a concept that courts have adopted wholeheartedly. Under this regime, the young offender’s interests far outrank society’s interest in public safety. Jamie Sarkonak: Cold-blooded murderer, 17, sentenced like a child thanks to Supreme Court

  7. A problem in the Canadian family is that every premier of a big province sees themselves as a near peer of the PM which is a recipe for chaos while negotiating with the likes of Trump.

  8. Have they figured out yet who's actually paying America its tariffs? They seem to be as ignorant as Trump is disingenuous. Are they all pretending?

  9. If you think globalist means something negative, you must be an obstinate blockhead. You trade with the world, that's how the entire world developed. If you're a Cdn isolationist, you must be insane. Enjoy life without oranges and affordable TVs, computers, cars and clothing.

  10. Hey here's something far more important to whine about TEN DOLLARS for 5 or 6 kiwi fruits. Who gives a flying f*ck about transgender bullshit? Food prices affect YOU, if someone's transgender that doesn't.

  11. Oh FFS the guy's implying that instead of flying to ASEAN to drum up new trade he should stay in Ottawa with his thumb up his ass and Trump's dick in his mouth. Otherwise who other than the whiner PeePee LePew would create such a topic headline?

  12. No YOU don't understand. He's going for YOUR jugular. In 6 months he's managed to destroy 50 years of trade relations, the trust of ALL your allies and any way at all of reducing your cost of living. And you think that's an accomplishment?

  13. Yes, it makes perfect sense. Trump wants canada weak. Trump wants canada to be a huge source of revenues through tariffs. Trump wants to drive industries to america. But he knows that canada buys a lot of us goods. So he'll push things to the edge as much as he can to take every nickel he can and THEN he'll do a deal that he wants. There is NO reason for trump to have a deal right now. Deals mean certainty, businesses don't move if there's certainty they just learn to cope. It's to his advantage to go as long as possible without a deal without actually completely crashing the country Duh.

  16. Lol. The polls in your country are run by woke a holes who lie regularly. Maybe when the polls actually show some accuracy and aren't used as a tool to demoralize the opposition, aka fraudulent polls like the group that just LOST to Trump, then I'll take them seriously

  17. Sure...if that soothes your anger...you go with that.

  20. The public in Canada are plain old stoopid. From Dog Chow to Ford to Malcolm Brodie in Richmond BC...fools. In a democracy, it is the electorate who is ultimately responsible for the state of the nation. Canadians need to grow a spine and a brain. We've allowed id1ots and liars to absolutely trash what should be a wildly successful nation.

  21. Lol...your attempt to redirect this to... "The problem is not illegals, but drunk driving." Is pathetic. Any incident involving illegals is a massive problem. No nation needs to increase the occurrence of such tragedies. However...nobody...not Trump...not Republicans...not anyone with a modicum of common sense, would or did try to excuse the tragedy. I haven't seen your 2018 example, but I would guess the illegal got his license in California or one of the other "sanctuary states". Am i right?

  22. Holy lack of self-awareness, Batman. What did Cdn say that was inaccurate? Or partisan? You can't say, because you had nothing: you just fired back like a petulant child because your feelings were hurt when Carney was criticized for being weak. That's all you did. And FYI, that's the epitome of partisan stupidity, Barqy. When you watch Carney obey Trump, over and over again, you seem to be forgetting how moist you got from listening to all of Carney's "elbows up" drivel. You voted for him because you thought that he would stand up to Trump, but every time Trump says "BOO!", he shits his panties. Do you really see Carney as being someone who consistently stands up to Trump, Barqy? Because I can't see past all the grovelling. Honestly, if Carney said that his plan was going to be the "subservient worm" trick, I'd say that he's still busy executing his plan, exactly as advertised.

  23. Well that's the quandary Ontario faces. Ford gambled on the TDS anger to make him a hero. Instead he got egg all over his face. But would the alternative be better? Probably not huh? Canada made an incredibly stoopid choice based on TDS and "Elbows Up". Now it's all blowing up in our faces. I believe had Poilievre won, he'd have done a much better job managing Trump and we wouldn't be faced with abject failure and embarrassment. Common sense...is a good thing.

  24. Did you notice that the MSM is all over Poilievre, talking about how unpopular he is right now, while Traitor Ford and the carney are still theoretically viewed as heroes? MSM: "Our main problem right now, as Canadians, is that Poilievre won't stop talking about Trudeau's crimes and Carney's lies and weakness. He should be more supportive of Ford and Carney, because those guys are awesome."

  25. This is all so stoopid. Ford tries to look strong for his electorate. Trump calls his bluff. It turns out the Reagan quote in Fords ad is misrepresented. The carney dutifully does as Trump dictates. "Elbows Up" I hate to admit it but...the Canadian electorate is a pack of twits.

  26. I don't think there's any doubt it will be in the future, just a matter of how long that is. Ultimately it's the auto makers who make production decisions based on demand and obviously EV sales hasn't met expectations. North America is well behind the China, the UK and EU in EV adoption and imagine it will continue to lag behind as long as fools like the POTUS eliminate buying incentives and to a lesser degree continue to tout climate change as fake news.
    1 point
  27. It should be in the future, but instead we'll let China totally dominate the world market in EVs, while we're stuck in the 50s.

  29. Just give up, you can’t win. All America needs to do is let Canada go into free fall. If you can’t swallow statehood now, then atleast do what the emperor wants. This ideotic move by Ford is just accelerating your own economic collapse.

  30. Explain the copium math to me. How would financially distress Canucks who can’t even afford food, manage to buy a new vehicle again? Since you all retired, your fuel and vehicle consumption has also decreased. Not only that, labor cost is high in Canada, that requires more capital investment upfront for a new plant for automation. With a shrinking consumer base, how is this even possible??

  31. Trump claimed in caps that Reagan ‘LOVED TARIFFS FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND ITS NATIONAL SECURITY’ in a screed about the Ford, not Canada, ad which gives us a clue as to why he is so upset. That claim is laughably false. Reagan never liked imposing tariffs when he felt he had to. Only by lying can Trump make Reagan’s position resemble his. And I was surprised how vague Rubio was about who exactly Doug Ford is. In his position he should be entirely familiar with the post of Ontario premier and how it differs from that of Canadian prime minister etc. One utter ignoramus in the administration is more than enough.

  32. Carney did nothing months ago. The provinces aren't working with each other at all and in fact some have raised their tariffs on their neighbors since then. Carney promised that he would substantially end inter provincial trade barriers by leading the provinces and working with them to find new relationships and arrangements. He has done none of that. The problem is he's incompetent. He could see that free trade amongst the provinces was something that was necessary but you didn't understand the politics involved and he didn't have the relationships built over the years to bring everyone on board So he made a promise he couldn't keep because he thought people like you would vote for him. It's reprehensible. He sold Canadians on the idea that he could handle trump, which he couldn't. And that in any case he could eliminate trade barriers for provinces so that we did a lot more business in Canada. And he couldn't You need to understand that this guy is every bit as much of a disaster as Justin Trudeau was and our economy is going to suffer accordingly

  35. You explained in layman's terms my quote, by someone who is not popular on this forum. You and I agree on that. You and I might disagree in that I think Carney is actually trying to legitimately work for the best interests of Canada on the economic front, by strengthening trade ties other than the one we have with our elephant. Doug Ford on the other hand, is playing a game he can only lose.

  39. I quoted articles with links to actual FBI emails and documents. You just choose to ignore it because you would rather feed your TDS than face reality. I gave you documents that prove my point. You gave me nothing. This document has two primary sections, why and how. The why is section 1 and the how is section 2 and 3. You quote 1 when you want to blame Trump for targeting a group but 2 and 3 when you want to talk about the enforcement/how. The 2 and 3 never mention a specific group and don't direct law enforcement to target specific groups.

  41. The thing is Trump was always going to pull some crazy shit like this. When someone is that unstable and irrational you can’t blame anyone else. If you’ve ever dated a “crazy chick” you can relate. After they have some kind of freak out meltdown you at first think to yourself if only you hadn’t said x or done y the whole thing wouldn’t have happened but you quickly realize with crazy people these things are inevitable they will always find an excuse to freak out, you just have to cut your losses and distance yourself from them, and most importantly not blame yourself for their crazy behaviour.

  43. Hmm, I need a fleet of in town delivery vehicles. Should I spend $80K on EVs that can charge overnight for $20 when they're not being used, or $80K on ICE ones the drivers are gonna take a half hour break in the day while they yak and pump in $50 worth of gas and getting paid? And a couple of $200+ oil changes a year... Not that I'd be much of a business owner if I bought a fleet of vehicles in the first place, would I?
