  1. If only companies like Capital Power, Northland, Enbridge, TC Energy, etc, etc had first consulted with the dunces here they would have saved tens of billions of dollars in these renewable energy investments... You would think with the talent involved in these decisions and amounts of monies invested the due diligence done would have been much better. Why they didn't think of location, the fact that it gets dark at night, and precipitation called snow is beyond me...

  3. I just finished a solar installation at my home. The payback is just under 5 years at current rates--and the rates continue to climb. Great for the environment and for my finances.

  4. No? https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/gm-production-fort-wayne-1.7642742 Well...yes it is. You can lie to yourself, but you cant lie about reality and truth. The reality is that the car manufacturing is moving south... And the truth is, you been had by a liar and a thief who used your TDS to convince you to vote for the stupid little POS. The Carney has done nothing but inflict more suffering on Canadians. But at least he's not a Conservative like Trump, eh? Dumb sh1ts.

  5. Yeah. I mean we knew but still. But Obama won't face any consequences. And this is what the dems don't get. Obama is going to get away with this, so what's to stop the next dem from doing the same? The only thing left is "mad", mutually assured destruction. The republicans MUST do the same thing now as hard and as much as they can and destroy as many dems as possible. If they do then MAYBE the dems will wake up and when they get back in power will say "ok, we've got to stop this cycle. Can we both agree not to and to let the past be the past" If a bully punches you, the only sane thing to do is punch back as hard as you can. Even if you lose that bully has to know if he picks on you then you're going all out and he's getting a bloody nose out of it at least. Trump has to give the bullies a bloody nose. The democrats were warned with all of this that if they opened the door there was no way to easily close it but they chose to do it anyway

  8. Yeah it sounds pretty doable. I could see their concern maybe that perhaps because not all of the people will retire exactly evenly across the country that there may be some instances where there's a few layoffs but very clearly they can do the vast majority of it by attrition and probably all of it

  9. Pretty far ahead of yourself, no? It's far from established (and likely to stay that way) that James committed any kind of fraud. Trump, on the other hand clearly did so. It's also pretty preposterous to equate a checkbox in a pile of paperwork with massively overstating property sizes and values. But why don't we see if she even did anything wrong before trying to compare apples to watermelons.

  10. Every other new home here is adding solar. On the 54th parallel where it snows shitloads. It reduces use of grid power, but some of these plowboys can't comprehend only reducing consumption. They're brains are stuck on shutting the power and gas pumps right off tomorrow morning. If my power bill wasn't only $65/mo. I'd consider panels too. Our friends ran 100% solar for two years until they saved up for the poles they needed to connect to the main line. Then they dumped the wood furnace for pellet and baseboard heat.

  11. Another absolutely citeless post. Do you think I respect you so much that I would pull up a chair and have you just tell me everything and I'd believe it ? Anyway, I made it one sentence in and even then it was a chore. Would it kill you to Google something once in awhile ? Seriously.... Climate Change has been positively impacted by mitigating further increases In other words, if it weren't for the Climate response we would be worse off in terms of warming. Go read a bit and we'll chat again next year...

  12. Prove me wrong, spend your money on a solar roof then. See if you’re ever going to make that money back for the life of your roof in the time you’re going to own it. Everything else you wrote boils down to excuses. Eco-warriors like yourselves are no better than snake oil salesmen and should be treated as such.
    1 point
  13. But you just said you couldn't afford it. If it's cheaper why wouldn't you be able to afford it I thought you said it was an expensive roof cap. So expensive that you couldn't afford cheaper electricity somehow (????) Those were your words. Are you talking to a mirror? I didn't read that post. It's not like you're worth paying attention to all the time, Solar is something I know very well. It is very very hard to go completely solar, even in the southern states. Technology for storage is just not there Solar makes a great supplement to actual power producing systems. Like I said we use it so that we don't have to use as much water during the summer for our hydro projects. It can be used to cut down on the amount of oil or gas that you burn to produce electricity very nicely. But it's not a replacement yet and it just isn't. And as we've already seen you really don't know what you're talking about. Don't worry your little head about it, the smart people are working on it (fun fact, Zucchini are solar powered!!)

  14. they did but while they did say that was the intent and they felt that would be good enough, they also wouldn't commit to no layoffs along the way (i believe it's a 5 year process they're looking at to reduce service). so the union isn't satisfied with "we'll do our best", but attrition is ALWAYS cheaper than layoffs, and when you lay people off you're laying off the cheapest employees but attrition takes the most expensive off the board as a rule. So i'm sure the company will focus on attrition Canada post is supposed to present the 'official' plan to parliament in a month or so but i believe it's supposed to happen over 5 - 9 years where they finish rolling out the community boxes and then start reducing services in various areas.

  16. I don't even know about that so much. In the past it was a pain for businesses because we had to hold our checks to the front desk and contractors had to come pick them up. That is literally thousands and thousands of checks that wound up getting stuck at the front desk as our girls tried to call around and let contractors know that it was ready But that experience forced us to look at options for doing direct deposit and we now have that capacity. So all our regular contractors and we're just depositing the money directly into their account. That'll continue long after the strike is over, Canada Post is never getting that business back I must have about half of my regular contractors on that already and we're working on getting the rest over time. Charity should be able to do the same sort of thing and we've already only accepted invoices by email for years now The last time there was a strike it was a major inconvenience, it wouldn't have been this time to nearly the same degree, and even though the strike is over we're going to be pushing to get every contractor on board with this as protection against a future shut down

  19. They proved him right. Solar is an unreliable power source in Canada in the winters as alberta found out horribly a few winters ago. It's a suppliment. It means we don't have to draw down the water in the dams during the summer months as much. That's it

  21. We've done nothing but sacrifice and compromise for the last 10 years. We borrowed billions upon billions to 'invest in our future' and sacrificed massively to 'carbon tax' and such. the problem is it was all a lie, and nobody's interested in trusting losers like you again.

(you got nothing!! snif!) you think just because your creators half-assed your programming that everybody else must have programming too. If the good fairy ever turns you into a real little boy you'll find out that's not how it works

  24. And hopefully they'll be less clumsy about it. The Hunter laptop letter and media assistance that accompanied it still makes me laugh. When compared with the unintended (and completely accidental) brilliance of the NS wolf hoax, it stands as amateurish and easily recognizable for what it was. They needed (and lacked) a companion event... something tangible but at arms length from the creators, an "accidentally discovered" trace that tended to support the original premise but they stopped short of manufacturing it. I was waiting for that shoe to fall and it never did. By way of example, in support of the wolf hoax I would have trucked in some refrigerated (road kill) wolf caucuses from Ontario, placed them on a couple of rural thoroughfares in the target area and then leaked a fake memo about unexpected mortality rates threatening the success of the project and the possible need for introducing an additional group. That's the truly fascinating part for me... the warnings stressed the fact that they wouldn't like what comes next and those predictions seem to have come true. No need to look further than this forum and extrapolate a bit. Fun to watch though and in like manner to what's on display here, people still swear they saw wolf packs. People LIKE Robo WILL never ADMIT that THEY got IT wrong AND they WILL always EXIST in SUFFICIENT numbers TO be CONSIDERED part OF the TOOL box.

  26. So your excuse for "carney's entire campaign was an utter lie" is "well y'know, politicians amirite?" A tiny bit of embellishment is one thing but he said he would have interventional trade barriers largely gone by midsummer, along with having a deal with trump which he absolutely said he could do, and that he would spur development in the housing crisis and build baby build, and would get major projects underway. Absolutely none of that has happened. His entire campaign has been a fraud

  28. ^FOOL believes there's no power benefit from 1.5 MILLION solar panels. Can you multiply 1.5M x 300 Watts? Or figure out how many homes can be powered by 450 MEGA WATTS? You probably don't even know that an $8000 battery charged by solar can power your home for 24 hours or more. Because YOU'RE IGNORAMUS GIRL! And power 100s of homes, CLOWN

  29. Canada did not need to accept the millions of new legal and illegal immigrants at all. 6 million in the past six years. The numbers are unrealistic. It was the white people that built up Zimbabwe(Rhodesia)and South Africa. Rhodesia was a big producer and an exporter of food and goods when white people ran the country. Today Zimbabwe(Rhodesia is a basket case now that the whites have been demoted to nothing. And South Africa is headed the same way. When white people were running SA, they were big exporters of food and goods. Now SA is fast becoming a basket importing country just like Rhodesia. Canada has imported way too many non-whites by the millions into Canada. And what has that done for Canada? Sweet dik all. We are fast becoming another Rhodesia and South Africa. And if Canada does become a minority white country, Canada is doomed to eventually become another SA and Rhodesia and will become a multicultural pile of hodge-podge with dozens of different cultures ,languages, religions, heritages and traditions, and all fighting for a piece of Canadian turf. Won't that be fun to have to watch. Yes, we need new immigrants from Britain and Europe that are compatible with our own white culture and traditions. White people fit that bill. The people that Canada is bringing in today and yesterday are by the millions from non-white countries where many of them will not nor probably do not want to fit into our white culture. Multiculturism and diversity is seeing to that alright. Diversity is not our strength. It will be our weakness. Believe it or not. 😇

  30. We have several. The TMX is for oil. So why not spend 1/10 the energy griping to Ont/Que about using Cdn oil? Or a pipeline to the OTHER coast too? Europe imports oil. You don't like the idea of China buying it. So why TWO on the West Coast when the existing one isn't even fully utilized? Those would be Team Canada ideas rather than Team Alberta only short sightedness.

  31. MH, some people are shit people. Some cultures groom their children to hateful and murderous. That's a fact of life that your kindergarten education failed to warn you about. Try to tell me there's an area in Canada where you could parade the body of a raped and murdered woman around, and you could find crowds of children lining up to spit on them, while adults were standing around encouraging that behaviour... No doubt we have a few muslims here that would do that, but not even the darkest blue-hair liberals here would spit on the bodies of raped and murdered women.

  32. true. Ambitious people say "i want to win". Competitive people say "And i want you to lose," Trump is both. Carney is neither comptetative NOR ambitious. He's an opportunist. An opportunist says "what can i steal for myself today without too much work, and then ''ll be gone tomorrow"

  34. You've said similar things about the forces of Darkness that Fauci commands, or is it Big Pharma - is China and the CCP at the top of that totem pole too? It sounds like it's all the same ginormous totem pole doesn't it? Or is it just WEF perhaps...or just Soros maybe. You people are kind of all over the map with this stuff, but of course you've also chalked it all up to just a few psy-ops dudes to so...could be these guys for all we know.

  36. True. Give me break. Now you're just repeating Trump's talking points. But you preach like you know how everyone should run their lives. If you have so much on your plate and don't want to worry about other people, why are you on here all the time doing just that? PODSNAP!

  38. Yes. You one of the old fashioned 'real men' who thinks it's not real work unless you get dirty? The garbageman just turns the can so the truck picks it up and unhooks it when it's empty. The forklift guy at the mill gets paid the same as the guy on the chain. As does the guy who holds the fire hose and watched the other work.
