The left is motivated by hate. You’re going to have to come to terms with that. It’s not about the oppressed, it’s about hate of the rich, hate of the successful. Hate of conservatives. Hate of God.3 points

Yes, you were clearly singing his praises, contrasting him to: "Zealots and fanatics in their non-stop circle jerks scared them all away....." Either way, your understanding of what a Conservative is, clearly, is based on absolute BS.3 points

Popped back in just for this thread--and it's exactly as expected. This is rather like when Rush Limbaugh died. Kirk was also a professional a$$hole. Like Limbaugh, he made a lot of money spreading lies, sowing hate and driving division. Objectively, the world will be better off without this cog in the hate machine. Still, his only "crime" was political speech, and political speech should never be answered with violence. Never. It's a tragic day, but the tragedy isn't the "loss" of Kirk, it's the ongoing erosion of civil discourse, displaced by the brutal expedience of force. Sadder still, the MAGA crowd won't recognize the irony of this deeply MAGA, "might makes right" moment. A movement headed by a bully who has caused and reveled in political violence has very little room to be outraged by political violence.3 points

Well the difference is that a boat is designed for boating. You're not going to ban or restrict every single object that you could bludgeon someone to death with. A gun, on the other hand, is a tool specifically designed to seriously injure and kill human beings (or other large animals). In Canada there's far fewer gun owners and far fewer shootings. In Japan there's virtually no gun ownership and virtually no shootings. So again, people in a democratic society can choose to live by the laws they wish, but "live by the sword, die by the sword" applies. If Americans are willing to accept the risks of relatively easy and widespread gun ownership that's their choice and they live with the consequences of those actions, good or bad.3 points

I was making the case that the AR is probably the one weapon in America that gives the 2nd amendment group the most teeth, and you're now telling me how lethal it is. Are you supporting me here, or what? That reminds me of the Ben Stiller movie with all the weird "superheroes". The one girl was a bowler whose father's death was declared to be an accident by the police. He "fell down an elevator shaft, onto some bullets."2 points

I write this not only to Americans...but to all people of The West and beyond. Today is 9/11. 24 years after the day. The anniversary of the day that changed...everything. People...we are standing at the precipice of Hell, looking down and ready to jump. The sheer hatred is at a feverish pitch. Its time to look in the mirror and ask yourselves... Is this reasonable? What exactly do I value? Do I value the society and culture of my home? Or do I hate it all and have a need to destroy it? Today...I pray to whatever Gawd cares to listen...that mankind decides to not take the plunge to Hell. That we join together in the spirit of commonality. Love Family Freedom Honor Respect And perhaps most of all... Compromise. We can't all be of the same ideologies. But for the sake of humanity...we must begin to work together for our common interests and return to a world of compromise in order to secure said common interests. For your loved ones...for your particular nation...for your own well being... I beg all of you today... Do not take that last step.2 points

The Cess Pool aka the other forum is still trying to justify his murder. They don't like "what he stood for", and apparently that means his murder is approved by them. They are truly sick individuals. I'm actually pretty astonished at their reaction, I didn't expect them to react this radically. They need professional help.2 points

Nobody on the right was arguing that the individuals killed in Minnesota brought it on themselves in some way. Nobody was cheering it on. Nobody was celebrating it. The two sides aren't the same.2 points

I had no idea that the left has become so deranged. The events of yesterday have really been eye opening. It's very very scary.2 points

Gabby Giffords was shot by a schizophrenic. It wasn't political. Please, no one knew who the hell those two Minnesotan politicians were. Charlie Kirk is one of the biggest Conservative targets spare Trump, Vance, that they could've gone after. He's been painted as a Nazi White Supremacist for years by the left like every other person they hate. Look at all celebrations online. This killer is a hero to them, just like Luigi. Charlie Kirk very well could've become President one day. You have no idea how big this was and how radicalizing it will be. There will be many tears to come.2 points

Can’t wait to see how Trump will use this as an excuse for his next dictator move. I see some on the right are now calling for the Democratic party to be classified as a terrorist organization and declaring this an act of civil war. But when we have republican nutjobs murder Democrats like we did in Minnesota earlier this year or when Gabby Giffords was shot or all the right wing terrorist attacks that have happened in recent years its “oh these things happen it’s a mental health issue not much can be done about it, let’s nmot discuss this anymore”2 points

No it doesn't. And that's not what the saying means. To live by the sword means to live a life of violence. You can believe someone has the right to own a gun and not be violent. That line comes from the Bible. Maybe you know this. When Jesus is arrested, Peter tries to defend him, and Jesus urges him not to, saying that those who live by the sword, die by the sword. But Jesus had spent the entire night with Peter and the disciples before he was arrested, and he was well aware that Peter had a sword and said nothing about it. In fact, it was Jesus who earlier recommended his disciples carry a sword.2 points

Charlie Kirk did not live by gun violence... Why must you folks insist on posting this stupidity instead of just condemning his murder?2 points

was not a fan of him he spread hate and used an excuse of allowing debate to pretend it was okay ...HOWEVER violence is not the answer and weather you are on the LEFT OR RIGHT you don't deserve to be killed for your views.. condolences to his wife and kids and family.2 points

Other forum is having a laugh at the murder of Charlie Kirk. No real surprise. It’s a great illustration of why I made the right choice to leave that cess pool.2 points

Another tragic story showing the absolute disregard by the Trump admin for human rights. While he was detained in inhumane conditions, he witnessed a man with a heart condition pleading for days for medication. He didn't receive it and died. " Irish immigrant allegedly detained for 'looking Mexican'©REUTERS A Northern Irish immigrant deported from the U.S. claims he was targeted by ICE for 'looking Mexican'. Lee Stinton, 45, a hairdresser from Lisburn, about 9 miles south west of Belfast , had been living in Florida when he says he was arrested on the street and sent back to Britain for the apparent resemblance. Despite his beard and distinctive style, Stinton alleged that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer stopped him on his way to work in Key West and told him: 'You look Mexican.' When he explained that he was from Northern Ireland , the officer allegedly looked at his phone screensaver showing him with his partner, DeVaun Davis, and sneered: 'He looks Haitian. This might be a two-for-one deal today.' Stinton told The Belfast Telegraph that he was shackled and hauled away, describing the experience as being 'kidnapped off of the street.' He was taken to the Krome Detention Center near Miami, where he claims he was held in a concrete cell designed for about ten people but packed with more than one hundred men. Food and showers were limited, he said, and medical care was routinely denied. Stinton's immigration status in the United States was unclear, but The Daily Mail has reached out to ICE for comment. During his detention, Stinton claimed he witnessed a man beg for days for his heart medication before collapsing and dying of a heart attack in front of other detainees. Stinton further alleged that medical procedures were carried out without his consent, including the removal of subdermal piercings while he was shackled to a bed. The Telegraph reported that he was issued a blue detainee uniform indicating 'low custody,' but that British consular officials were not promptly notified of his detention. The hairdresser stressed that he had never been in trouble with the law. 'I never even had so much as a parking ticket. I have no criminal record. I have never done anything wrong. I was doing everything the U.S. government asked me,' he said. Despite this, he was deported to London with no onward travel arrangements and eventuall y arrived back in Northern Ireland on July 12. Announcing the Telegraph piece on Instagram , Stinton wrote: 'The wait is finally over. For the first time in a long time, I feel some heaviness beginning to lift from my shoulders. … I went through one of the most unjust and cruel experiences under President Trump's regime, and it has changed me forever. I will continue to post articles exposing the Trump admin violations of human rights of undocumented migrants regardless of what the usual group of Nazi-minded racists say on here. There is another article on the Trump admin trying to deport unaccompanied children to some south American countries where they could be in serious danger of abuse.1 point

“Guns cause homicides”. Sort of? More guns makes it much easier to have more homicides. The evidence is really clear. https://rockinst.org/blog/more-guns-more-death-the-fundamental-fact-that-supports-a-comprehensive-approach-to-reducing-gun-violence-in-america/#:~:text=More guns equals more death, there are more gun deaths. The Evidence In a scholarly review of the relationship between gun prevalence and homicide almost 20 years ago, Harvard researchers concluded that available evidence supports the hypothesis that greater numbers of guns corresponds to higher rates of homicide.[1] In the years since, the evidence has strengthened at every level of analysis. Further, the hypothesis that more guns equates to more deaths has been supported using many different ways of measuring gun availability and access. First, having a gun in the home increases the risk that a person will be the victim of a homicide with a gun or commit suicide with a gun.[2],[3] This is true regardless of storage practice, type of gun, or number of firearms in the home.[4] Put simply, if there is a gun in the home, it is easier for a person to pick it up and use it against a family member, intimate partner, or associate in the midst of a conflict. Similarly, people are more able to attempt suicide during a moment of crisis if a firearm is accessible in the home. Suicides are also far more likely to be completed with a firearm than any other means.[5]1 point

Bullshit. You slandered him out of one side of your mouth and then tried to claim the moral high ground with the other. How about if you take your fake sentiments and your snotty jibes and f-off, weasel.1 point

That's your take on what he said? 😂 You honestly think that the word "hero" in that context means that Charlie was saying that DePape was a hero? Your reading comprehension is well below grade 4 level, or you're a lying f'ing weasel, buddy. FYI, the gist of what he's saying is: "Leftists revere people who let violent criminals out of jail (ie, the Dems and their "we don't throw people in jail for that stuff anymore" DA's), so if someone wants to be a hero among the leftists in San Fran right now, then they should just go bail that guy out, right? Why should that particular violent offender serve jailtime while criminals who attack less famous people get off Scot-free all the time? The Dems re-worked the system to keep guys like that on the street, so be a hero, and get that man out of jail." Do ya get it, Treebeard? Honest to God, the main reason that you don't like Charlie Kirk is because his arguments are way over your head. I'm not being mean, you're just really really unlucky when it comes to thinking and understanding.1 point
