68b9ab88433830977baf521a_Mainstreet_Canada_August_2025_Justice_For_All.pdf The fall session hasn't even started and carney is starting to slip. The ndp won't pick up substantially till the new year when they pick a leader but when they do that'll be coming off of careny's total. And by then he may well be struggling anyway. This may be a shorter time in office than i thought.2 points

true, he was quite specific about it and that he thinks he's a great guy. Lying won't change that True. Name something trump has demanded he do that he said 'no' to, Nope. For example trump has a 50 percent tariff on steel and we put ours at 25. Claiming he's "matching trump" is a lie. So, name another time when the liberals invited an opponent to give a talk to their cabinet. Ever. In our history. Never happened and never would. What you're saying is beyond ridiculous and nobody EVER does that. False. He backed out, the prime minister did NOT 'disinvite' him. It's pretty bad when the author of 2025 doesn't want to be associated with your political party because he doesn't want to look bad2 points

Nobody should disagree with the sentiment behind "Canada First". But you don't copy the slogan of an authoritarian gangster who has threatened to annex the country. Meanwhile, the Liberal Party are a bunch of submissive cowards for failing to defend our culture, history, and security and national interests so migrants coming here can feel more "included". You'll be welcomed here if you make some efforts to integrate into the team. If I moved to India or China etc i'd bend to whatever they wanted or leave, it's their turf. But in Canada ISIS fighters are welcomed back, Omar Khadr is flying on planes, and foreign agents are allowed to influence our politics. But "a Canadian is a Canadian". The Liberals are only willing to defend the country against foreign interests if they're rightwingers they hate, and roll over and show their bellies to everyone else. Stop trying to not offend anyone and do what's right.2 points

Carney is pausing the EV mandate, just like Pierre said should happen. Another policy that Pierre was ahead of and correct on. At this point, we really just need Pierre as PM, as Carney is just a middle man. House Nears Vote on Epstein Files as White House Calls Effort ‘Hostile Act’ A bipartisan group of House lawmakers is pushing to force a vote on releasing all federal files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, despite fierce opposition from the Trump administration and GOP leadership. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., filed a discharge petition Tuesday that would compel the Justice Department to release all unclassified Epstein investigation materials within 30 days. The rare procedural move allows lawmakers to bypass House leadership and force a floor vote if they secure 218 signatures. …The White House warned Tuesday that supporting the petition would be viewed as “a very hostile act to the administration,” while House Speaker Mike Johnson called Massie’s efforts “meaningless.” https://thedeepdive.ca/house-nears-vote-on-epstein-files-as-white-house-calls-effort-hostile-act/1 point

Who the hell claims they were terrorists? If they were drug or human smugglers there's at least a moral right to board and apprehend them in international waters. If they were attacking you, a legal right. But show us again your lack of respect for law as you claim to be enforcing it.1 point

The letter is below. There's nothing controversial in the letter. The majority of Liberal MP's who didn't sign this letter are vile cowards worried more about votes and backlash from antisemites than protecting Jewish minorities in this country from hatred and violence. They've turned their backs on the Jewish community. The Liberal Party has no honour or integrity or courage and don't represent Canadian values or liberal democratic values. They prove it time and again. They're pandering to hateful antisemites FFS. How can people keep voting for a party unwilling to defend our basic democratic values when it's politically inconvenient to them? This is a pretty big story IMO.1 point

It WAS a liberal who drafted it The left has become very jew hating in recent times and the liberals have been affected by that as well On top of that, the liberals have been courting the muslim and palestinian vote. So signing ANYTHING that looks like you're 'supporting' jews is going to make them nervous. Not all liberals are jew haters. But a lot of them are1 point

"democracy" is two wolves and a sheep voting for whats for dinner. "Democracy" is trash. The US is a constitutional republic, and keeping it that way is what makes it great. There is no such thing as the US inching, or leaping, or bounding towards "the axis of evil". There IS such a thing as the democrat party going full blown communist, and THAT is the threat to our constitutional republic, and to the rest of the world.1 point

I noticed that his picture and name were released immediately... curious eh? I cringe every time I see a gun violence headline lest it be a registered owner and legally acquired gun... the name and all other information is released immediately when that happens as well. Haven't seen any of that a while though... you'd think people would take note of it prior to demanding the government spend 2 billion fixing a problem you almost never hear about.1 point

All of the Canadian provinces have good resources & agriculture, and Que and Ont have decent population centers for industry, just like the rust belt. The only part of Canada that's a bit of a drain economically is basically 54.40 and north, but that region comes with claims to arctic oil and shipping lanes. Next thing you know the leaders of Hamas and islamic state will be refusing to visit the PMO.1 point

In Undercover Video, Staffer Claims DOJ Will Hide Republican Names In Epstein Files A staffer in the Justice Department said in a secretly recorded video that the department would redact any Republican names from its investigative files on the late sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein. The administration has been funneling the Epstein files to Capitol Hill in a supposed show of transparency, but only liberals’ names will remain visible, the staffer said. “If they’re released in any way, it’s going to be very redacted. They’ll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files, leave all the liberal Democratic people in those files,” Joseph Schnitt, acting deputy chief of the DOJ’s Office of Enforcement Operations, says in the video. Schnitt apparently thought he was speaking to someone he’d met through a dating app, but he was actually talking to an undercover operative for the right-wing entrepreneur James O’Keefe. The video is the most recent and possibly one of the most damaging instances of conservative backlash against the Trump administration over its refusal to make the Epstein files public. Earlier this year, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said she had Epstein’s mythical “client list” on her desk, only to backtrack this summer and announce no new information would ever come out.….1 point

You’re clearly wrong. They literally just returned from touring a German submarine factory and extending their commitment in Latvia meanwhile Joly just finished hosting a Canadian defence industry summit. Before that Joly was in Sweden touring Saab defence facilities. We’ve signed on to ReArm Europe which is a pay-to-play program. There was just a massive pay raise and bonus announcement. They’ve made massive increases to defence a prominent centrepiece of their economic and foreign policy. Of course there is going to be massive spending increases. There have been many many public statements announcing increases to meet the NATO 2% this year and 5% in the next few years.1 point

Climate change is real, but it has been very very poorly demonstrated that it's a crisis. There is a difference. Most people will admit that climate change happens all the time, there's nothing weird about that, but when you ask for the evidence that it's a crisis all of a sudden nobody can produce anything. There was a. Of time on this board where there were like five or six constantly asking for any actual hard evidence that the climate change situation was a crisis and that anything we can do would change it and despite massive amounts of whining and whinging nobody produced a single thing in all those exchanges. A lot of people it's just doesn't seem like what you think it is. They are more likely to say we need to adapt, and overtime new technology will allow us to move away from greenhouse gasses more and more and there's no need to panic about it If you believe climate change is a crisis then you and your side of that equation need to do a much much better job of demonstrating that1 point

The pendulum almost always swings too far, and when the gov't is dealing with tens of thousands of cases, like they are in this instance, they can't go through every file with a fine-tooth comb, or even on a case-by-case basis. They had to find some reasonably broad parameters and just work within them, and they chose "drug and other felony convictions" as their line in the sand, and that's the epitome of reasonable grounds for deportation. For years the Dems were allowing violent criminals, terrorists and fentanyl distributors into the US by the tens of thousands and shielding them from ICE, to the point where hundreds of thousands of convicted criminals, and tens of thousands of violent offenders had accumulated in the US. Eventually there had to be a change of course, and this is what a 180 looks like. The Dems could have done this on a case by case basis over the past decades, just by following existing laws that are already on the books, but they fought against that, so this problem got to the point where they had to use broad strokes to get it handled, and it's getting handled. Sure, some people don't like seeing 'that nice guy convicted criminal' get deported, but for every 'nice guy convicted criminal' there are 50 'not nice guy convicted criminals'. Once you start making exceptions and exemptions for the various levels of criminals, you start to form a queue, and queues cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. One last thing, there are tens of thousands of people in the US who have plead guilty to 'lesser charges' to save a costly trial with a foregone conclusion, or who only got light sentences because they were the ones who snitched on their fellow criminals. So just because a guy "only has a marijuana charge" doesn't mean much. Maybe the guy was a serial offender but the prosecution just didn't have the resources to pull all of the crimes together and try them all successfully, so they narrowed their dossier down to "the one case that we can win easily, and get a meaningful sentence for". And if there's one thing I know for 100% certain about leftists, they're omitting, exaggerating, tweaking and fabricating this into a story that bears absolutely NO resemblance to the truth. Book it.1 point

The fact the NDP vote to the liberals doesn't change the fact Poilievre lost a 25% poll lead. It is what it is.... an embarrassing loss. That hasn't worked out well for the Conservatives. Maybe time to look for another playbook....1 point

If you think the Liberals have EVER pivoted away from their tried and true election formula of scaring Canadians, you know nothing about Canadian politics. Btw, you guys act like Poilievre's numbers plummeted. They didn't. Instead, the NDP vote melted away and went to the Liberals. Poilievre couldn't have imitated Ford because federal Conservatives want their party to have conservative policies.1 point
