Wrong on 2 counts: 1) it doesn't mean that guns lack lethal power, it means that killing is a choice made by people. FYI guns actually do lack the ability to kill people on their own, and there's no shortage of other ways to for people to kill others if guns aren't available to them. 2) As far as the US is concerned, their belief is that the amount of safety and freedom that guns provide to the citizens outweighs the fact that people can choose guns to kill other people instead of using other methods.
