  1. Nice try to finger Carney with blsme though, shows the all too stubborn pattern of blaming Trudeau for the sock you lost in the wash. You should be celebrating. Two groups you loathe cancelled each other out.

  3. Getting past your inherent hate for liberals, do you even understand what you're saying? It's not that difficult to consider that people are not as party bound as you and would vote for the person they think best at that time....is it? Probably a better question is....how the hell do you know how Aristides has voted for the past 10 years and, why the hell would he lie about that on this random forum. Think about it.... Your political bias and hatred of liberals is not healthy....at all. Get over it man.

  4. The first election I was eligible to vote in was 1968 and like most I voted for Trudeau in the original Trudeaumania. I have voted PC, Reform, Alliance and Conservative in every election since until this one. There are a couple of reasons. My former MP and Harper cabinet minister decided not to run and the party picked an unknown who didn't attend any candidate meetings or give any interviews but still won by a landslide because the Conservatives could run a chimp in my riding and still win easily. Sorry but I just couldn't vote for that guy. Another is that while PP is no Trump by any stretch of the imagination, many Canadians see a lot of similarities in his everything broken, everything bad, sloganeering, name calling campaign style and they don't like it, self included. It is clear now that the Conservative's lead in the polls was due more to Trudeau's unpopularity than thing else and as hard as it is for Canadian Trumpers to swallow, Donald Trump lost Pierre Poilievre the last election. For me the choice was a gamble and for better or worse I gambled on Carney. Will I regret that in two years? Maybe but I sure hope not because I will always put my country ahead of any political party and if PP had won I would be saying the same thing. So in instead of whinging and hurling insults maybe you should be asking yourself why many lifelong Conservative voters like me switched the last election. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just look in a mirror. How will I vote in the next election? Right now I really have no idea.

  9. Yes, Increasing CO2 Causes a Warming Tendency in the Climate System… So What? It's just another mealy-mouthed way of asking who gives a fùck. Rising sea levels...more wildfires...stronger storms...mass extinction...it's all good.

  10. I wouldn't call them suspect, I'd call them BS.... YTD June 2025 Canada had 57,440 asylum claimants. Pretty close to Shady's 291,975.... https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/refugees/asylum-claims/asylum-claims-2025.html

According to the latest data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the country is on pace to admit approximately 422,232 newcomers by the end of 2025—a 6.98% increase over the planned figure.

  13. Sure. Can tell you me what the "story" or "proverb" is here? Deuteronomy 25:11-12 “If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his penis, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.” No, but I think there's a lot more to it than your "because Muslim bad". More like you didn't understand the point, which was to push back against your silly, sweeping generalizations about Muslims, and to demonstrate how you'd rather be a gay dude in Kazakhstan (Muslim) than in Russia (Christian), or a woman in Algeria (Muslim) over Ethiopia (Christian). There's evidently a lot more going on here than Considering this "Spaniard" was an Andalusian Muslim, that's a pretty goofy thing to say. Speaking of weak replies, what does it say about you that you went out of your way to call Ibn Rushd a "Spaniard" instead of the Muslim he was? Are you pretending that I can't come up with other names or something? Once again, you miss the point entirely. Sort of like all of Christendom was, up until very recently? 🙄

  14. You would be incorrect. Fuel prices are lower because of the imbalance in the supply and demand for crude oil driven by strong global oil supply and a global economic slowdown that has reduced demand for fuel. What stifling regulations and taxes are you talking about?....be specific

  17. 1. No. We're talking about the cost of living. 2. Groovy. So if you dont mind...run along and research. In the meantime, we'll just remove the restrictive regulations and drill baby drill. 3. When it can be done rationally, with a source that is as reliable as fossil fuels.

  18. Stephen Harper speech in Berlin 2007: "In the interests of time, allow me to focus my remarks this afternoon on the fight against climate change, perhaps the biggest threat to confront the future of humanity today. Canada may be a small contributor to global warming – our greenhouse gas emissions represent just 2% of the earth’s total – but we owe it to future generations to do whatever we can to address this world problem". https://www.canada.ca/en/news/archive/2007/06/prime-minister-stephen-harper-calls-international-consensus-climate-change.html

  20. This is how the legal system works. The administration does what it believes is lawful. People challenge this in court, and the administration counters. When they lose, they adhere to court rulings and/or appeal, and they often win. But you openly advocate for violating the law, not trying to change it.

  21. Man you're just being obtuse now. Are you really trying to say that you dont understand how, when the cost of all fuels are artificially increased, that pretty much the cost of everything increases to compensate?

  24. The rest is science, which for whatever the reason you refuse to accept. The last 4 decades have each been warmer than the previous. Scientists overwhelmingly attribute this global warming to human activities, particularly the emission of greenhouse gases. If you choose not to believe well documented studies by ~97% of climate scientists, so be it...

  28. We also know that none of this proves there is an issue, nor that the CO2 is the only factor involved. In fact, we know it isn't the only factor. We also know that our energy consumption and requirements are increasing and that the "solutions" attempted have imposed inflation on a global scale. So if your goal is to cause panic and the final destruction of the middle-class, you're doing a bang-up job. Nothing more.

  30. Dude you're pretty parisan. You're not crazy like many here are, i'll give you that for sure, but you've definitely got a bias. And "I don't know if the leader i wanted to see is the right guy or not but you have to support him now" is simply not the way the world works anymore. The liberals have spent the last 10 years out and out lying, being corrupt, stealing from Canadians and destroying the country while they ate 1000 dollar a plate AIRLINE food. And carney has done the same thing already. There really is real hatred brewing. You can't keep propping up a corrupt gov't and expect people not to hate you for it after a time. It's been 10 years of feeling the same way about the liberals that many on the left feel about trump and now you've given them another term. What did you expect?

  31. It's not stupid at all. After all the years of you guys lying, gaslighting, making baseless accusations, calling us all racists, misogynists, conspiracy theorists, etc, I just hate you. You guys forced young people to take dangerous jabs and then lied about the side effects, vax-efficacy, everything to do with covid and the jabs. You guys are sitting here trying to pretend that Carney is hitting the ball outta the park and he's actually biting the pillow. Just like you all tried to pretend that Biden was sharp as a tack and Trump is senile. You tried to pretend that there was no good reason for the Freedom Convoy to go to Ottawa, and that they were all just a bunch of racists who were threatening and intimidating people, desecrating statues, etc. It would be pretty silly of me to not hate you after all these years, Aristedes. You're a bunch of vile, dishonest, losers who won't even protect our younger generations. As far as human beings go, I rank you alongside pedophiles and wife-beaters.

  32. But alas.... it's still the first place party and will be for the foreseeable future and longer as the perpetual second place party has the same leader. I don't need to vary from how I view politics.... you however should consider why you support someone who lost a 27% poll lead to a rookie politician. Carney had a good team I suppose, while Poilievre was stuck with the junior varsity squad.

  36. The heart breaking thing to watch is that the kids have realized it in large numbers, but they can't do anything. They know they're about to be sold out, they know they're not going to have the future their grandparents had. They can see that even if they get a competent leader in there's no way to undo this damage quickly. It's like they're not even fighting for their own future anymore, they're fighting for their children. Bringing in the conservatives will certainly make things better, at the very least stop making them worse, but even still it will be 30 to 40 years before things get back to the way they should be even if they do everything right. I see them talking online and in person and while they are definitely looking towards having a CPC government they're just entirely aware that they've been screwed and there's just nothing that they can do and nothing anyone else can do to help them. These kids worked hard, they deserve to have a future, and they're just not going to get the one that they deserve.

Not even sure there is a discussion about WHY Canada was not invited, what is it that Canada has to offer ? i mean we already got rid of all our junk military equipment, even sent some new stuff that was suppose to be delivered to our own military....so without any real military orders to redirect what is it we as a nation have to offer....Nothing of any real value...Want a seat at the table you need to do more on the global front....

  41. You can read as many papers and watch as much TV on this as you want to and you won't find any reporter mentioning much about this guy's background. What country was he born in? Is he a citizen or an asylum claimant? How did he get in? They never mention that because the legacy media practices self-censorship. There are things they don't think it's good for people to know, so they don't tell them. Mentioning that he came in from whateveristan might cause people to further question the wonderfulness of our immigration and refugee system, and that isn't something the media wants to see happening. It's kind of like when there is a swarming, say, and they say ten 'youths' or 'teenagers' were involved, but even if they're all black (which is the norm), the media won't say that. The six girls who murdered the homeless guy in Toronto and got no punishment were all black, but you wouldn't find that mentioned in the media. Not even in the so-called conservative papers.
