  1. He was arrested under Trump's first term, denied asylum. But he was allowed to stay and work in California. He was even given a CDL. Sanctuary state policies killed three people in Florida. Yes, we have bad truck drivers that have no immigration issues. But how much does this man feel above the law because nothing stopped him from breaking our immigration law, getting a CDl and working despite laws forbidding it? What is a sign that says "No U-Turn, Official Vehicles only" to a guy that hasnt had to follow any laws to get to that situation? As an aside; in south Texas, the most important insurance you can have is uninsured driver. Aka illegals smash and go insurance. The illegal aliens can't get insurance, so when they hit you (and they are already driving a beat up piece of shìt) they just drive off. They have a fake or stolen tags so you can't track them. Either you have uninsured driver insurance or you pay for it yourself.

  2. This is worth commenting on. So to translate what you're saying is that in the absence of an actual argument you have created a fake argument that has no basis in fact or reality but is entirely based on your prejudices and hatred which you then apply to your opponent and argue against. Well that is certainly special As in short school bus special. I lived through a time when there really wasn't any response in the woods and nobody complained. What happened is people got organized and created their own search and rescue groups, which we see to the very day. If you go out into BC and get your truck stuck you don't call the government, you put a post on bc off road and people in the area will come help get you out. That is how conservatives handle these kinds of problems. It is liberals and lefties who demand that the government solve everything Warn people that there are no government services available. Advise them they go into the woods at their own risk. Educate them about the dangers and make sure they're aware of what not to do. And then get the hell out of the way. You may need a government to wipe your butt for you but most of us don't

  7. AC will advertise an FA job as being $30 an hour... which sounds pretty good until you realize that your pay only kicks in when the aircraft is in motion. In other words, there's a lot (and I mean a LOT) of unpaid work which probably drops the actual hourly rate bellow minimum wage (in many cases). There's the old joke about pilots too... if you can see a pilot, he's not getting paid. A bit like a carpenter only being paid when he has a hammer in his hand or a welder when the torch is burning. Pairings are a function of seniority with the worst trips going junior and those would be multiple short hops with long station stops. At the extreme end of it I recall one in particular... it was a 14 hour crew day with about 3 hours of paid flying time....$6.42 per hour for a FA. I suppose you could stick to your guns and say: "hey, nobody made you take that job" why not quit. The reason is seniority rules your life and it's company specific. Leave the company you have seniority with and you're back to apprentice wages at your new one. Why? Because they can. It makes for interesting lunch time discussions with some of the tradesmen I've worked with. Why is an experienced pilot working as a carpenter? But, when you frame it in terms of experienced Red Seal workers seeking employment elsewhere... they're usually surprised by the fact that within the industry, seniority is a trap . What it means in terms of "if you don't like it quit" is that in essence, you have to leave the industry... not just look for a new job I'm just scratching the surface here... this could be a whole thread with lots of tentacles... it explains why some veteran (but unlucky) pilots found themselves better off driving dump trucks than airplanes during a serious pilot shortage. In a round about way, that's why you should care... because it effects you too. In the early stages of the shortage, there wasn't a lack of experienced pilots, there was a lack of experienced pilots willing to work for apprentice wages.

  8. Economic Nationalist/Populism is defined by adopting government policy that enable workers to compete successfully and earn a living wage. Ideally where only one spouse is needed to be the breadwinner and families, whose values are founded on the Judeo-Christian Principle. We want our people to compete successfully by limiting the immigration down to a halt and only opening up the borders once a worker shortage can be proven. No longer will we allow the banking globalist elite to dictate immigration policy and economic globalism. We want to dismantle the un-elected arm of government, the bureaucratic state. We do believe taxing the ultra rich top .5 percent and bring down income disparity. We are all in for empowering the middle class and workers. What we are not. We are not libertarians, we believe in the exercise of government power through democratically elected means. Whose powers are defined in the constitution up to and including exercising policing enforcement power of the Executive branch. We are not neo-conservatives with their never ending war and military adventurism, though we will exercise the use of force at a place and time of our choosing if necessary. We are not anti-russian though make no mistake, Putin is a bad guy. We do not see value in encouraging a Chinese Russian alliance, that is against the American interest. The goal is to pull Russia out of the Sino orbit.

  9. What are you talking about? We aren't complaining about you personally. You didn't implement the draconian rules, did you? This is a discussion board. We discuss things. You made a post saying people would be complaining if they didn't get an emergency response on time, and I explained why it's BS that this is even an issue. No. It's not that we would likely do that. It's that you bet we would. If emergency services are actually strained right now and people cannot get services in time when they get injured hiking, then the same would occur for people doing several other activities. If that is happening, no one is complaining about it. Or maybe we guys/gals only complain when services are slow when we get injured hiking.

  10. Under harper most of that wasn't a problem. As I said we brought in the main big changes in 2006 so of course it's going to take a while to work out all of the bugs entirely. Another thing that Canada does you might want to throw in the mix is the majority of our immigration especially with refugees was based on mentorship. In other words people who had already succeeded in Canada that were from the region the immigrant wanted to come from would step up and agree to help the immigrant navigate the Canadian experience so that they succeeded and they left behind practices that were incompatible with their new country. That made a massive difference. Justin Trudeau has largely thrown that out the window but I hope that we get back to it soon. The mentors would help them prepare for employment, introduce them to important people that could help them, help get their kids in school and navigate all of the tedious paperwork that they didn't understand and explain cultural differences that they were going to have to cope with and give advice as to how they overcame it themselves. They could also be a reference that employers could look at and see that there was a Canadian backing this new immigrant and maybe they were worth the risk Made all the difference. Some Industries adopted this as well and went even further, for example there were a lot of Filipino nurses in British Columbia and a system was set up so that incoming filipino nurses were paired up with experienced Canadian Filipino nurses and the speed at which the newbies got up to speed was incredible. Sounds like your policies more or less have a pretty solid base and logic reason and demonstrable historic success. I think if you flush it out just a little bit more you'll be pretty damn Bulletproof against any criticism

  19. You would have to pay me to care about Palestine. And to be fair, Israel as well. America does not need oil from the middle east. We're a net exporter. That region does not deserve the kinds of outsized attention that it gets. It holds no strategic value for America. The only interest we do have there is the Suez Canal running through Egypt. But only as a point of control.

  25. Yes they are. Roughly 90% of asylum cases are denied. They are violating immigration law. Yes. We have to treat everyone with compassion. Sometimes, compassion comes in the form of rejection. Or do you happen to get all of your prayers answered? When we reject asylum claims and make it clear that the people that cross our borders illegally won't get in and if they do, they cant stay, we prevent a lot of suffering. Women and girls are raped on the journey. Many end up sex slaves in our borders. Men and boys end up as drug mules. People that can't pay have their families threatened by the cartels. Don't forget about the people that die on the journey. Whether from starvation, snake bites, drowning, dehydration or just getting shot by the cartels. The horror that comes from trying to skirt the law is far worse than deportation. We are saving lives and treating people with dignity by preventing them from making a grave mistake. You call it mistreatment. Does that mean you think that rape, slavery and death is a fate we should allow? Is that treating them well? God denies prayers because we can't see our fate. If we do the same for these people, why are we going against God?

People like Aristedes et al, they remind me of how even after the incremental injustices and loss of rights of the Jews in Germany, even after all that, as they headed to the gas chambers, some were saying "Yay! They're going to let us shower." In reality, there is nothing the government can impose, take away or do that Aristedes, eyeball etc would not accept and justify. Weak men create hard times.

  32. Here in NB most of the fires are in central/northern NB in the middle of nowhere. I don't know anyone who is going out there to hike. The province has been really dry the entire summer. It was the topic of discussion for weeks now that we are lucky there hasn't been a fire. No one was banned from hiking until last week. Somehow people managed to go on hiking trails all this time without setting the forest alight. Yup, Canada is so backasswards when it comes to justice.

  34. Sure PP lost the election only because of the lies and the bull chit being spread about Trump taking over Canada which was being promoted at the time by the leftwing lieberal party and the bought off Canadian media. What results could the conservatives be able to do if they are not the party in power? I have not seen any good results in the past ten years as a result of the lieberals being in power. And you won't even give me one bloody thing that the lieberals have done to make Canada great. All i see every day is more of the destruction of Canada as a result of the WEF globalist lieberal party agenda. So, have you checked out Rebel News or Juno News lately? Probably not, eh? The truth will no doubt hurt your low IQ brain of yours anyway. Just saying. 😁 I prefer to call your lieberal PM Carnage a Marxist globalist PM dictator because those words suit the globalist well. Carnage the dictator could care less about Canada and Canadians. Instead, Carnage is using his not so deserved dictatorship as an excuse to try and destroy the old Canada that I once knew and loved. Carnage is a dictator so live with it whether you want to agree with me or not. Woke up with your lieberal lies and bs. Liebrals like you have done enough damage already to Canada and Canadians. PP will not be unemployed for very long. PP will win his that by election seat in Alberta much to your leftwing lieberal chagrin. I am not so sorry for all of my ranting once again. 🤡😂

  41. Nxon meeting Mao was a revelation, and an upheaval in the geopolitical roadmap. It's hard to say what Trump understands. I just listened to an interview between Ezra Klein and Kayla Scanlon. She submits that Trump is a human algorithm, trying many tactics at once and with his own feedback loops: stock market, FOX, Truth Social... Klein points out that Trump is unable to focus. "Listen to how he talks", ie. He can't keep a constant line of thinking beyond a few sentences. It's long and not conclusive, but the current Zeitgeist is barely fathomable. So there's only so much to be understood, even by bright young people. I believe that earth-shifting pervasive change is happening and it will take a generation, plus the death of the boomer generation to balance out. One hour. Check it out:
