Left4rds sure are all over the map when it comes to the age when people have achieved the requisite amount of knowledge and wisdom to make informed decisions.... "8-yr-olds possess the wisdom to decide on sex change procedures that will render them incapable of procreating!" "20-yr-old university students lack the wisdom to understand how loans work!!!" "Adults should be forced to take dangerous injections that they don't need, because they are too stupid to weigh the risks themselves and bodily autonomy isn't really a thing, but a 17-yr-old can abort a healthy baby 2 weeks before its due date because bodily autonomy is the most important human right we have!!!" "16-yr-olds should be allowed to vote, because tik-tok gives them all the information they need!!!" I'm 100% certain that anyone who votes leftard should just be stripped of their rights to make any decisions for themselves and their children should be taken away.3 points

This is exactly what it is. K-12 education is dominated by left wing educators influencing children and they are historically ignorant of the real world because they are children. Their entire life is controlled and provided for by adults. This is why the left wants children to vote, for the same reason war lords in Africa have children in their armies and China had children ratting out political dissidents to be killed. They are easily influenced, immature, and don't know much about how the real world works yet. In otherwords, they are the ideal leftist voters.2 points

It does boggle the mind And these are the people that frequently scream follow the science. The science is pretty overwhelming and if they had taken even 2 seconds to look into it they would have found numerous studies that point very strongly to the age of maturity being about 18 when it comes to mental development. Like this one Cognitive Maturity: 18 is the Threshold of Cognitive Adulthood - Neuroscience News Cognitive maturity measures their executive function skills. That's exactly what we're talking about here. And if they cared about the subject and didn't care more about trying to find a way to exploit kids to vote for their side while they're in school where teachers can get their hands on them then they would have found this report and dozens of others like it in 2 seconds and realize they were wrong. But of course the science doesn't matter to them when it doesn't support them. And it's hard to get your head around the level of hypocrisy these people have2 points

He should be dumped at the next convention. Never before has a leader blown such a lead in the polls. Never before has a leader listened and stuck with such pitiful out of date and shallow advice. Nor has one gone out of his way to or inadvertently offended so many groups of people.2 points

Not even the same questions , my poll was what voters intentions were if we had another election....Yours was approval rating....not the same issue..I voted for conservatives , but i do agree with the direction the country is headed in right now...does not mean i would change my vote....and in that regards both parties have lost ground...2 points

This is not a partisan opinion. There's a debate going on about what damage was caused. https://www.coastreporter.net/politics/trump-grapples-for-upper-hand-in-debate-over-damage-caused-by-us-strikes-on-iran-10860583 Sure. Again back to the 2003 scenario where you're being pulled into a quagmire that only leads to war.1 point

If it takes nuclear war to make trump look bad, then that's how it goes in his mind. You don't make omelets without breaking a few eggs, every communist knows that1 point
-
Maybe that's what they want you to think. The truth is, we don't know. Any definitive stance without solid evidence is only conjecture. Apparently both Iran and Israel were running low on missiles and didn't have the resources to continue on like that. Israel was paying a cost for this war too.1 point

Has it? There's no independent verification. Because Trump can't keep his mouth and/or social media feed shut, I'm sure Iran made sure to move important items away from these sites that Israel had no ability to attack effectively. Apparently intel reports say that this only delayed their program. Trump obviously creates his own reality so he's fine with this being a huge success and moving on. But Iran can now keep making those Nukes in secret.1 point

I would expect them to be more insular. Hope everyone forgets about them, so they can achieve their goal. Does saying "Death to Israel" warrant a war? And some would say Zionism is religious zealotry as well.1 point

So you double down and list more things they can't do as a logical reason why they shouldn't get to vote. "Reason" is the key word. Look at the forum here. Maturity sure as f*ck isn't a qualification to vote.1 point

Denied aid to disaster victims because they liked trump. Using power and influence and money for other political pursuits. I mean seriously - letting disaster victims suffer and possibly die because they like trump? The woman should be in jail for ordering her people to do that, never mind 'fired'. Etc etc. The MOMENT that happens the org has to be shut down. It's been compromised. It's a shame, i'm sure it did do some really good work. Cautionary tale to other gov't orgs i'd say.1 point

The entire Middleeast hates the idea of Israel. And that's likely only escalated seeing what they've done to civilians in Gaza. It doesn't mean that Iran would nuke Israel. But it sure would mean that Israel would think twice about attacking Iran.1 point

How are you this dishonest? Trump is not lying when he is relying on the intelligence he has. There have been many different assessements of the damage and quite frankly, unless someone is standing in the crater of one of those holes with a camera, none of them are perfectly accurate. Also, Gabbard was talking about an actual weapon, not the enriched uranium to make one. This is a stupid gotcha game that most people are too ignorant to understand or are dishonest about. Actually building a nuclear weapon is the easy part, building an ballasitc missile is more complicated (but Iran has those already, clearly, they launch them at Israel), it is the enrichment of uranium that takes time and massive amounts of centrifuges to complete. Iran has clearly been doing the latter, and clearly has the missiles, so once they have weapons grade uranium, making the bomb is the easy part. Iran is not interested in MAD in the traditional sense, they clearly hate Israel and chant death to Israel. Iran was already not being transparent... hence the mountain bunker to hide and protect their program.1 point

We actually do have two-tiered health care here, we just pretend that we don't. If you need an MRI you can wait 6 months to get it for free, or pay $500 to get it done at a clinic in a few weeks, or even pay a few grand for same-day service. Drugs aren't free either. Canadian parents have faced bankruptcy paying for their children's medicine. You hear slogans from politicians here about what kind of medicare we should have here, and from US politicians saying "Look what they have there. I will give that to you!!!", but nothing is ever "as advertised".1 point

To be honest Gato, Drs make decisions like that all the time. They can't just do everything in their power, every time: they have to pick their spots to help the highest number of people they can with the amount of resources they have. The amount of time, energy and money that they will invest in keeping someone alive is based on availability of several different resources (medicine, Drs, nurses, beds, general funding, etc), odds of success, prognosis, other urgent needs at the same time, etc, etc, etc. If you're Bill Gates, you'll pay for what you need yourself, but hospitals won't pump $3M worth of resources into keeping a 79-yr-old car accident victim alive when they could just die of a heart attack the next day. Sure, maybe a specific amount of medicine will extend one person's life a few weeks, but the key here is that person's condition was still deteriorating even with that medicine. Maybe that same amount of medicine could go ten times further with 5 other children, or even give 2 kids a shot at a full recovery. And it sucks to be the person who has to make that determination, and then live with it. But Drs do it all the time. All the time.1 point

Yes, because we all know bombing a country is the best way to win hearts and minds. Iran's best course of action would be to develop nuclear weapons. North Korea has them and every leaves them alone. Trump denying his own intelligence reports is hilarious. This strike literally was just for show. Iran can continue to develop nuclear weapons without any oversight now. The word of Trump means nothing.1 point

No. "adults" go to the bathroom, eat at McDonalds, and do a million things... that doesn't make anything and everything thus an "adult" activity. Should I make a Venn diagram for you? You are still avoiding the point anyhow, you have yet to make any kind of argument here. All you have done is list of other things adults do.1 point

Yes, actually there were several newspaper articles about it which I'm sure you can find with a simple search. As I said one of the most egregious was fEMA ordering its agents not to provide help to homes in a disaster that were displaying science supporting trump. Should take you about 3 milliseconds to find that on the web. But three more directors were fired for their political actions involving trump that were similar. And it was noted that additional issues were at play in the organization, Like i said, all of this is a super quick google search away so you either know and are just sealioning or you're talking out of your ass. It's not one individual. And fema did what it could to give the appearance of having investigated and cut out the rot and corrected the problem but honestly, by then it's far too late. The organization has become stained and of course trump isn't going to believe that they got all the problem people or that it won't keep happening. I mean... that was some pretty horrible stuff. Diverting desperately needed aid away from people because you don't like their politics? That's absolutely horrible, Sorry kiddo but really that's all it takes. The moment you allow your organization to become political in that fashion you basically signed its death warrant. By giving it back to the states they take the partisanship out of it and send a pretty clear message, if a state does that to it's own people then the governor will suffer, not the president. The left are driven by hatred and bigotry and this time it caught up with them.1 point

I think we could say the same about you. The fact is most of the immigrants being sent home right now are receiving full due process. There was a fairly minor issue with one's being sent to certain third-party places but even that was resolved. For some reason some people believe that due process means that you must have access to 15 different court cases or visits in order to be treated fairly and that's absolutely not what it means.1 point

Shitty all the way around for this child and family, but the government hasn't killed the child. The drug is considered no longer effective for her current situation. To blame this on the BC government as a disregard for human rights is only reading headlines, and disregarding the unfortunate facts.1 point
-
There was a tag added "Context needed: While tragic, the child's condition has always been terminal, and has progressed beyond the stage where the drug is considered useful. The only remaining benefit is seizure control, which can be managed by less expensive ($1mil/yr) medications."1 point
-
No, read it again. the child is going to die anyway. the drug won't help her, it just controls her seizures and they can do that with other drugs which are less expensive. This drug cost a million a year and won't do her any more good. Drug coverage to be discontinued for Langford girl - Victoria Times Colonist Yeash dude, i've got some serious issues with our medical system but i think you'll have a hard time selling this as a human rights violation1 point

Congrats, you win the award for most nonsensical and idi0tic post of the day....so far. The title is a joke. Canada is ranked #5 globally in human rights - Placing 5th out of 208 jurisdictions evaluated by Freedom House, Canada received nearly top marks on political rights (39/40) and civil liberties (58/60) for a total score of 97/100 on the Freedom in the World 2025 report. Secondly, the BC government denied funding...NOT Canada. The BC government determined Pollock's condition had deteriorated to the point where she met "discontinuation criteria". Agree or disagree with the BC gov's decision.....it's heartbreaking for the family.1 point

I think very few people truly understand the extent the indigenous are supported by the Feds and Provinces. In so many, almost all, indigenous "reserves", "communities", "towns", "villages", "nations", "tribes" or whatever they are calling them are supported 100% by the feds and provinces. The housing and infrastructure is all provided free of charge. Any support work is provided free or, if the residents are doing the work on the infrastructure, they get paid by the feds or provinces. That is the only source of income for them. There is little if any work in those places so...what moneys they have, they get from the feds or provinces. Almost every department in the federal government has indigenous clauses where if money so spent, a certain amount has to go to the indigenous, whether they do anything for it or not. There is no way to get around it, almost the entire indigenous society (and there are a few notable exceptions) is a permanent welfare state for as long as Canada has been around. I do not believe we can make them a viable part of Canadian society anymore. We have turned them into a dependant society.1 point
