  4. And then you tried to change it, liar. What you initially quoted: April 17, 2020 Rebuffing then-President Donald Trump, Fauci downplays the possibility of a lab leak, saying the virus’ “mutations” are “totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human.” What you just tried to change it to: "He said it was totally natural. There is no ambiguity in that statement. None." And when called out you deny, deny, deny. It's shameless. Scientists don't deal in impossibilities. They tell you what the evidence indicates. And you are making up your own science. Any time a virus jumps to a new species there is a first point of contact. Evolution happens at the individual level, not across a species simultaneously.

  9. The cap doesn't create more pollution. How much oil we produce has absolutely nothing to do with how much oil is consumed. The amount of oil the world is going to burn is exactly the same whether we sell it to them or the Russians do or Saudi Arabia does So the question is are we going to be the ones doing the selling or someone else, it has absolutely nothing to do with pollution. This is really simple. When the world stops using oil will stop producing oil. Not the other way around. And now the Americans have us under our thumb just because people like you can't understand that simple concept

  10. So your saying climate change can only be solved by taxing the people, not by any other source,or idea.......And when did the major polluters ever pay for anything, they don't they pass that on to the consumer...like every company in north America...they pass it on to the "consumer"....they don't pay for anything that gets added by the government....ZERO , prove it otherwise. carney has been asked to , and he can't explain it...and he is the banker... DO i think those costs are going to magically disappear....yes i do, trump has wiped out his climate initiatives which will make US goods much more competitive with Canada's...consumers will buy the cheapest goods, it is what they do....why else do we buy so much cheap chinese sh1t...And if you think Canada is going to solve this climate crises you don't have a full deck of cards...This buy Canadians is not going to last forever, once canadians feel the pain from tariffs they will buy the cheapest sh1t...and it won't be Canadian because ours will have all these taxes attached to it...we can't even trade with no tariffs amongst ourselves...

The name changed so it could attract and get overrun by rightwing MAGAtts spreading their perverted version of conservatism. 15. Clearly the coterie of yes people around Trump won't question or reel him in, including Lutnick. All of them are willing to damage the U.S. and Western economies for the forseeable future in the uncertain hope that U.S. domestic industry will expand significantly as the cost of doing business rises and consumer markets decline due to tariffs. Given that there's no careful plan in this experiment or understanding that some companies and workers impacted may not recover from this sledgehammer, Canada has to stop engaging in this unpredictable mess. Let the Americans hike their tariffs and costs and spend the necessary decades and billions building the energy-intensive smelters and the power plants needed to power them. Americans and Canadians can't afford to wait that long, so Canada's best bet is to immediately seek other trade partners and supply its own domestic markets. Drop all U.S. investment plans and procurements with U.S. companies, including military, to the greatest extent possible. Seek to divert as much energy supply away from the U.S. as possible. Canada has the cards in the important ways on the supply side: oil, electricity, rare earth and precious minerals, steel and aluminum, potash, etc. Finding new markets will be hard but likely and we will endure a slump as our export economy adjusts. We'll have to bear the costs of military expansion as business revenue declines, but we can redirect spare industrial capacity to building infrastructure like high speed rail and pipelines (not to the U.S.). Waiting for the the U.S.'s next trade move puts Canada (and Americans) in the position of constant uncertainty. Let's instead strike agreements with more reliable partners and expand internal supply and trade. There's likely too much distrust for greater economic integration with the U.S.. Most Canadians oppose the idea of Canada becoming the 51st state, and our distrust will only grow as long as Trump talks about annexation of Greenland or taking back the Panama Canal. Soon it won't just be Canadians who aren't along for the ride with whatever POTUS feels like doing on any given day. We might as well cut our losses and ditch the sinking U.S. ship. Trump thinks we can't survive without America, but it increasingly looks like Canada will get dragged down with the U.S. as long as we remain dependent on the U.S. market.

  17. Read the link--or any other discussion of efficacy. The disparity month-over-month is dramatic. And this has been posted for you dozens of times at this point. This is what we watched play out around the world. Over and over again. The vaccines dramatically reduced hospitalization and death (independent metrics) of those who contracted COVID. In the exact same way that a seat belt reduces the probability of serious injury or death in the event of a car accident. The vaccines were massively successful, saving over a million lives. And you continually shit on them because you only want to look at raw numbers rather than rates. 🙄

  18. Bullshit. You're just a shameless liar, who won't even quit when caught red handed. A hopeless case. And you know who thinks you're bad at science? Scientists. Johns Hopkins What do we know about what happened at this animal market? Three-quarters of the early cases had some association with the market and none had an association with the laboratory. Even though the market and the laboratory are both in Wuhan, they are in different parts of the city separated by a river. There were also other indicators: There were two lineages—or two separate variants—of SARS-CoV-2 that were circulating in the early days of the pandemic. One of those became the pandemic [as we know it] and the other one died out. But [the existence of two lineages] would mean that there would have to have been two introductions from a laboratory, versus an outbreak going on among animals and then spilling over multiple times to people. The scientists looked for two things: tracking the early cases and evolution of the two lineages. They did a geospatial analysis which tracked cases that we knew about and pinpointed exactly where in Wuhan those cases were. They were even more tied to the market than previous indicators had suggested. The scientists looked at those two strains and [their] lineages to see how they evolved, which also tied it to an animal spillover. They got down to the exact stall of where one of the positive environmental samples had come from. There had been a picture taken a couple of months prior where a raccoon dog had been sitting in said stall. Raccoon dogs are one of the prime suspects for where the virus came from.

  22. In many cases it is to be profitable at all - i.e. to survive. I look at this through the eyes of one of the companies I work with in aerospace. We will NEVER produce within the US since to do so - or even try to do so in our little sector all but one company in the last 30 years that has tried to enter "through the FAA front door" has burned through tens of millions EACH and ended up bankrupt. Between government, insurance and lawyers it is simply not a place we could ever likely make our product, and if we were to be that one in a dozen that DID succeed, our pricing would be (just as with our one and only successful competitor in this space) ridiculously uncompetitive due not only to cost - but also engineering features locked in by the certification process. Now that reality TV has arrived back in the White House, we can all see how ridiculous what normally goes on from the back room can actually get. Seems nobody down there ever did HS history class and are blissfully unaware of what Smoot-Hawley did to deepen the last Great Depression - so are bound to repeat it once more. Worth noting the 2025 economy looks very much like that of 1925 - where speculative gain drove massive re-distribution of wealth leading to a total collapse of Main Street (where ALL wealth is created) under the thumb of the greediest SOBs on the planet.

  24. That is my point. Now are these slight downturns going to be permanent? No. They are not systemic or based on lower demand. Will the unemployment rate, CES Jobs, QCEW jobs, etc recover? Most likely. however, the modern American does not look beyond the moment. They read on April 21, 2025 that the unemployment rate is up and immediately they think the following, "This is the start of something worse". Also, they blame the President only. Now, when it goes back up in July 2025.. they conveniently forget their paranoia on April 21, 2025.

From many investment authorities: "Investing in cryptocurrencies, while potentially offering high returns, comes with substantial risks, including lack of regulation, vulnerability to hacking, fraud, and market volatility, and the potential for total loss of investment." 30. He said it was totally natural. There is no ambiguity in that statement. None. Cambridge Dictionary totally adverb completely Cambridge Dictionary completely adverb in every way or as much as possible There is no ambiguity when Fauci said totally natural, he meant it did not come from a lab. The lab leak theory is moot if it is natural because it would have jumped outside the lab any way. The reality is that there are no cases of Sars-COV-2 jumping from animal to human other than the supposed jump at the wet market in Wuhan. None. His assertion that it was totally natural was a lie. It was later exposed that the NIH did, in fact, fund the research that led to COVID. Fauci was likely in panic mode and trying to cover up the fact that he had paid for the virus that caused the pandemic. He was part of the reason so many people died. He thought that China could cover it up. So he lied. For you to make such semantic excuses is just absurd. It is possible it was natural and a lab leak? Do you even hear yourself? No. It is not possible to be natural and only come from a lab leak.

  34. Apparently you are. If you can't understand a basic statement and have to invent new (more convenient) meanings for it. If he had meant to say it was impossible, he would have said that. It doesn't even farking contradict the lab leak theory, in which the virus made the jump IN the lab. It simply means that it does not appear to be engineered. Which, again, the science still supports today. Stop making shit up.

  38. Bullshit. "Totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human" does not mean that a lab leak is impossible. It simply means that the evolutionary steps are plausible if not probable. On other words, there's no reason to jump to another explanation. Which is where the science still is today.

  47. Sigh. No it isn't. Certainly not to the ukraine. You need to learn to read. Canada will be using siezed russian assets to pay for it. But that's money we could have kept for ourselves. It's not a loan in any normal sense of the word. i would think after losing to me so many times in arguments you would at least take the time to double-check what you're saying and what you're reading before you put yourself in a position where you look stupid. Canada is giving you crane the money, canada is offsetting that by keeping the Russian money. Canada could have just kept the Russian money and there would have been nothing illegal about that. So Canada is taking something it had and giving it to Ukraine and Ukraine does not have to pay it back That you're trying desperately to cover your own country's cowardice and the fact that it's sided with Putin. So you're attempting to suggest that other people that have done meaningful things are somehow invalid You're embarrassing yourself. Canada has troops training ukrainians right now. Canada is giving $5 billion dollars they could have kept to Ukraine with no strings attached. Canada has committed to supporting Ukraine even further and has said it would participate in peacekeeping if necessary as well as additional financial services if necessary. Canada is still home to over 1 million ukrainian refuees that we took in and paid for to keep them safe. Canada has turned over every single LAV 3 coming off the line - a vehicle so good that the US copied it and called it the Stryker because it was one of the best in class, I understand your shame. It's well earned at the moment. But that's a YOU problem, not an us problem.
