  1. Something doesn't add up. Normally, these funds are capitalized using budget surpluses (they are common in non-Western, oil-rich countries) but the US has an enormous federal deficit. On the campaign trail, Trump said he would build the fund using revenue from his planned tariffs and “other intelligent things.” Another scheme

  2. I think this will be the most interesting election in a long time. A lot will depend on who the Liberals pick and how the leaders perform during the campaign. Looks to be a lot closer than anyone would have thought a couple of months ago. Trump handed the Liberals a real lifeline with his tariff threats and 51st state BS.

  3. So, Mike Benz pointed out that Liz Cheney worked at USAID. Does anyone wonder why she was so adamant about getting Trump? Any how, she wanted to "end" the story by being out in front and admitting she was there and talking about all the noble things she did for USAID. Ok, that's fine. Here's what she had to say: Just one ittty bitty little problem. She didn't start working at USAID until 1993 and her resume claim of "win[ning] the Cold War, defeat[ing] Soviet communism..." can't be true. If there was no USSR, there was no Soviet Communism to beat and no Cold War to win. She lied.

  4. Oh, I see, so you would like an unelected demagogue to have access to Medicare and Social Security payments and all other programs of the American government. Hell with Congress. It seems the fears about the death of democracy were not overstated.

  5. Um, she said America won the Cold War, defeated communism, and defended democracy, not her.

  6. Like Putin, Trump still believes that power resides in geography - land, resources, canals - rather than technology. China is rapidly catching up with the US in critical areas like AI, batteries and missiles and all he can think of is Greenland and Panama.

  7. OMG, dummy. Have you never heard of Dr Blasey-Ford? E. Jean Carroll? No one is as dedicated to using slander as a political weapon as the Dems are. It's basically their go-to move. "We have no good reason to oppose the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the SC, aside from the fact that we found one single person on God's green earth to randomly say that she was almost raped by him in about 1986 or 1987, but she can't remember what town it happened in, she has no witnesses, she never reported it to police or talked about it with school counsellors, she doesn't remember how she got home that night, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc... BUT WE ALL HAVE TO BELIEVE HER!!!!" Your posts are comedy gold.

  8. Other than publicly disagreeing with Trump about taking over Canada and about tariffs, and endorsing policies that go completely against what MAGA would want?

  9. A large number of people reject the idea of using the Bible as a basis for public policy. The West was established and thrived in separation of church and state. People who don't accept that centuries-old cornerstone are increasingly seen as unhinged IMO.

  10. Trump and Musk have both demonstrated a pattern of smearing those they want to take down. Ethics and honesty play no part in their strategy, only self-interest. The harm they cause is devastating to many, many people. And in a lot of cases like the misinformation presented in the OP, the source can be traced back to Russia. A video recently posted on X, falsely bearing the E! News watermark, claims that USAID paid Angelina Jolie $20 million, Sean Penn $5 million, Jean-Claude Van Damme (misspelled in the footage) $1.5 million, Orlando Bloom $8 million, and Ben Stiller $4 million to complete their respective visits to Ukraine. It has been retweeted by Elon Musk, Donald Trump Jr., and Sidney Powell, and has millions of views. It is fake and totally false and the original source of the claim comes from a Russian propaganda channel. “These are lies coming from Russian media,” Stiller posted on X (formerly Twitter). “I completely self-funded my humanitarian trip to Ukraine. There was no funding from USAID and certainly no payment of any kind.”

  11. From watching the 5th estate documentary, I was convinced Sainte-Marie had either mental health problems, or a personality disorder. The fact that she abandoned her family for good, claimed she was an Aboriginal from a different country, and threatening her brother legally into silence, with false child molestation accusations, was horrid. What is especially disheartening, is she made no effort to be honest when presented with the Order of Canada, and numerous Indigenous Lifetime Awards, when she was clearly ineligible for either, as a Caucasian American woman.

  16. That's your entire position on the invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine was (rightly) afraid of their aggressive Russian neighbor. They sought purely defensive aid and alliance--which you say constitutes provocation of Russia and justifies the invasion.

  20. In the last month, the Liberal Party has enjoyed an 8-point gain, while the Conservative Party has seen a 5-point drop. https://www.ipsos.com/en-ca/liberals-narrow-gap-conservatives The prospect of a new leader has no doubt turned some back to the Liberals. The Conservatives still lead, and remain well-positioned for a win if the election were held tomorrow. But what does the future hold? Which party do Canadians think will better handle Trump and his threats? Some might think Poilievre is too philosophically aligned with Trumpism to launch a proper fight. It’s to the Liberals’ advantage to make the threat of Trump more real. I think that’s why we have Trudeau saying Trumps’ threat to annex Canada “is a real thing.”

  23. Instead, the strong implication is "I'm on the side of woke and I will fight to the death to ensure merit has no place in hiring, promotion, appointments, grants or anything else in this country!" It seemed to me he suggested Carney meant he wanted to end the culture wars. But that's not what it sounded like to me at all. It sounded like a stolid insistence on maintaining the Left side's fight in the culture wars.

  24. Maybe something akin to how midterm elections in the US turn out is at work. When federal governments lean right do provincial voters lean left - and vice versa when things go the other way? Like counterweights balancing things out.

  27. Nope. That poorly written mess of an article only implies is that it was fabricated because of OCCRP is funded by USAID no actual evidence is given to prove the narrative was false or fabricated to discredit Trump. Isn't attacking the source against one of your retarded made up rules? Lol what a worthless loser you are following me into threads that have nothing to do with you. Get a life.

  28. Not really. The entire idea is completely flawed and useless to begin with and it's clear from the previous investigative reports that almost immediately Addicts began to sell the drugs they were given for free in order to buy the drugs they wanted. Quite some time ago now I posted one of the first investigative journalists articles outlining what happened and it's only grown worse since then. Now there are pharmacies in on it and others as well, everybody is turning it into a profit center. And this was predicted and inevitable And the whole while the local left kept insisting that there was nothing wrong and that we were all evil people for suggesting there was a problem. Meanwhile children died Not in this case. This is state authorized. This is a direct result of a government and the work left insistence that we ignore the science whenever it doesn't say what we want it to and let ideology color our decisions. I wasn't crying that killed these people. It was the government and woke ideology plain and simple. Far fewer people died when it was a crime and we weren't giving away drugs for free legally

  32. Okay, genius. So tell me: are covid vaccines "safe"? Did Fauci really know that there was no chance the bat coronavirus that killed so many people was the same bat coronavirus that he helped make transmissible among humans in the Wuhan lab? Did the FBI commit any crimes? Was Joe Biden mentally healthy enough to be president? If you're too 'smart' to get sucked in by conspiracy theories then surely you know that the vaccines are safe, Fauci was unaware of the bat coronavirus in the Wuhan lab, the FBI never altered any evidence, and Joe Biden was mentally healthy, right, Radiorum? GFYS, dummy. The fact that you're a leftard literally means that you believe in pure garbage, almost all the time, and you can never admit when you're wrong.

  34. I agree this can really work against him and the Conservatives, especially with the groundswell of Canadian nationalism we've seen in the wake of Trump's threats. Interesting. They have a website: https://canadafirstm.ca/ They list as their leaders Trudeau, Poilievre, and Danielle Smith, so they must be out of Alberta Apparently they are a relaunch of a movement started in 1868 in the wake of the Red River Rebellion and the execution of Thomas Scott https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_First But, yeah, I think the next federal leader needs to distance us from the US, not copy them

  42. It's not a conspiracy bubble when no less than 2 judges RULE that way against the FBI, cultist child. It's not a conspiracy bubble when Fauci himself admits that he funded a bat coronavirus in the Wuhan BSL4 lab long before he said "LOOK, THERE GOES PANGO-ELVIS!!!", and people were banned from FB for saying "BSL4 lab", cultist child. 43. What a laughably naive and incorrect view of reality. People did not think, "ooh, this candidate is white, let me hire him". No. They looked over a candidate, see what credentials he got, what skills he had, whether he was smart..etc. And it turned out that white males tended to be the ones with these things. That's why they got hired. It was not because they had a Caucasian face. Why are there so many retards running around in our society believing stupid crap like that.

  45. No...just common sense. For instance...common sense tells us that yes, Russia did in fact invade Ukraine. However common sense also tells us that NATO and the USA had a rather interesting role in provoking that. Common sense...its may not always be popular...but it is factual.

  46. "Let people choose, what's the worst that can happen?" In July 2018, two nurses in Samoa prepared a measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine for two 12-month-old children. Instead of diluting the vaccine powder in water, they inadvertently diluted it with a muscle relaxant. Both infants immediately stopped breathing and died as a result. One nurse tried to cover up her error by taking the empty bottle of the muscle relaxant home after retrieving it from the garbage. Both were later sentenced to five years in prison. RFK Jr. seized upon the story as proof that the MMR vaccine was deadly, spending months highlighting the two deaths on Facebook. After it had become clear that the MMR vaccine hadn’t caused the infant deaths, RFK Jr. visited Samoa, appearing alongside prominent local anti-vaccine activists and meeting with senior officials. Influenced in part by RFK Jr., the Samoan government suspended its measles vaccination program for 10 months. Immunization rates plummeted from 74 percent in 2017 to 31 percent in late 2018, precipitating a massive outbreak of measles. Between September and December 2019, at least 5,700 people suffered measles and 83 died, most of the deaths were in children less than four years of age. On November 19, 2019, in the midst of the measles outbreak, RFK Jr. wrote a 4-page letter to the Samoan prime minister, stating, “To safeguard public health during the current infection and in the future, it is critical that the Samoan Health Ministry determine, scientifically, if the outbreak was caused by inadequate vaccine coverage or alternatively, by a defective vaccine.” Fortunately, no one was listening to RFK Jr. anymore. The Samoan Health Ministry launched a vaccination campaign in late November 2019 and, within five days, had immunized more than 17,000 people. The outbreak subsided.
