So, back to your other disingenuous argument. It's either not important, or everything is a lie and/or not happening. Also... it is so not important, you always seem to find yourself in these discussions doing a lot of posting trying to convince others of just how not important it is or that it isn't happening. No... he used a pretty benign figure of speech that have chosen to infer a meaning that doesn't exist. I made no mention of buying bud light or being offended by a trans lady. Yet again, you resort to dishonestly framing this argument to something it is not. You spend an awful lot of time here talking about this...1 point

Canada can apply an export tax to oil, gas and electricity exports to the US. A last resort but we shouldn't be afraid to do it or anything else if necessary. Trump is just mouthing off but our governments need to come up with contingency plans just in case.1 point

Lol...what a loser. You ask for examples, you're given example, and you pull 1 Priest who happens to be your own grandfather.1 point

This is kind of deceiving because it shows only Federal debt. In Canada we also have massive provincial debts not reflected above as in UK for example there is only a central government no provinces governing or in US, State budgets are balanced by law. I wish it was true and Canada was so well off in comparison.1 point

Your original question is disingenuous. It assumes that the actions of the relative few are representative of the whole. Your lack of intellect and critical thinking keeps you from understanding how that assumption is disingenuous.1 point
-
Of course it is. I am calling you out and you can't respond with anything more than generalities and media-driven talking points. Its ok, you are just a sheeple with no critical thinking skills.1 point

Or if it were an "assault weapon" or "high capacity" magazine we would be hearing about how we must pass the assault weapons ban!1 point

1. There's no way to objectively prove that. I'd say that this transgender stuff is a politically expedient topic that doesn't matter. People get offended by it, sure, but that's the price of freedom. The limits of that freedom can be discussed reasonably. You just need people to be respectful. 2. That's a wild exaggeration. 3. That's a dangerous statement. You should choose your words more carefully.1 point

Anthony Wiener. Hunter Biden. Donors like Harvey Weinstein. Joe Biden showering with his daughter. Insider trading. Pelosi and her husband. Wasserman Schultz buying into military technology while on their oversight committee. The list is long but start there.1 point

Being that everyone in a group behaves EXACTLY the same way.. know the behavior of one and you know the behavioral of all. I have a shirt from the band, KMFDM, much like the shooter Natalie Rupnow. I went to one of their shows in Boise in 2015. So then I must be itching to do a mass killing of my own.. by that logic.1 point

He is saying anything to get elected as PM or to bring down the government soonest. He pulls anything out of his sleeves no matter how unconstitutional it is like writing to governor general asking her to recall the Parliament early!!!!. He is an ideologist like Harper and this is a danger to democracy.1 point

I don't know why people continue to engage with my posts when they think I'm an immoral liar. This is about a discussion board. You have to have a modicum of respect in order to engage with someone, and clearly they don't so I ignore them. For my part, I have liked posts from the fox and the user. They make good points from time to time. I don't think they're liars but I don't see the point of discussing with them if they think I'm an immoral liar 🤔 As to your first paragraph, I don't think I've ever had hard evidence that someone is -trying- to deceive someone else in an online forum, unless you count sarcastic posts. So I've never had to ask myself if someone who I believe is trying to deceive me and/or others would be worth responding to. Perhaps they think that by responding and accusing you and others here of being immoral liars, they are warning virtuous posters? As to your second paragraph, I think you may be right in regards to having to have some respect for someone in order to engage with someone. What I feel strongly about is to -not- engage in the types of personal attacks that they engage in. All such personal attacks do is distract from the actual subject of the thread. At worst, this may actually be the goal, whether conscious or unconscious. I've dealt with a lot of controversial subjects and I wouldn't be surprised if some posters who've disagreed with me would prefer to silence me then truly deal with the points I'm making. As to your third paragraph, I agree that CdnFox and User have made some good points. I think the best example is the issue of minors getting hormones/hormone blockers/trans surgery. I think their largest problems are that they have strong penchants for jumping to erroneous conclusions, with CdnFox engaging in a lot of personal attacks. Despite these drawbacks, I still think that it's worth engaging with their posts, although I do draw the line at some especially egregious posts with some pretty nasty personal attacks. I think a big part of it is that they're not the only people who post in this forum. I think I get recharged from seeing posts from those on 'my side' in any given thread.1 point

I'm going to assume you meant something like "Dude" instead of "Do". Anyway, you haven't provided any evidence that I've been dishonest. Hard to say, you clumped so many Quotes together I'm not even a million percent sure who you're talking to. Is this your very first time on a discussion forum junior? I've been posting in online forums for around 3 decades now. Which has certainly given me enough time to realize when someone is trying to foist the blame for their own typos on me using spurious logic.1 point

Third world has elections and institutions. Sure, they have parliaments and courts. Formal arrangements are not what makes a mature modern responsible democracy. It's the citizens. The line between the worlds lies via a deficit, or absence of reasonable and responsible citizens. Nothing else, no books and no miracles can make democracies work. These days the U.S. has crossed the line, formally and de facto. The first election of the !diot could have been, with a big stretch, written off as an aberration, a travesty. Not this time. Everybody knew everything and there could be no mistakes and no confusion. A large part of the population has decided, knowingly and consciously, to stop being citizens and move to the state of pueblo. This, again, was a conscious choice and is mostly a one-way process as assuming the reason, principles and responsibility can be more difficult than letting go of them. The proof didn't take long to manifest. A month away from the office, the !diot already makes entirely unsubstantiated, stupidest and bizarre territorial claims to a NATO ally. Right at this time, we know when maintaining unity against a rising axis of dictator thugs is paramount to anyone who can think with a single cell in their brain. Beyond ridiculously absurd, this is plain stupidity, as it is, walking and talking and yes, you chose it and there are no explanations or excuses. More to follow, certainly as there can be no amazing miracles in such cases. And no "managing", no trying to shuffle this away and pretending it didn't happen could return you dignity and self-respect, now. I can't fathom in all honesty, how could such a grotesque failure of reason and responsibility be redeemed. The move has happened, and the line, crossed.1 point

And you're fine with PP causing billions to be wasted doing this? Seriously? Have an apple you'll feel better.1 point

I've never really believed in that. As the saying goes an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth only leaves everyone blind and toothless. Whereas a bullet in the head pretty much ends things right there1 point

Canada’s per capita GDP has declined for six quarters in a row.1 point

And isn't this often the case. Swoops in, disparages everyone else's opinion, rushes off without defending his own position (and often even without offering it). How many billions of times have we proven that it does happen in Canada and the US. Even the other lunatics who believe like Michael come back and say well it doesn't happen often after such proofs, they don't continue to pretend it never happens at all. Of his posts about a third are simply post-stating we shouldn't be talking about whatever we're talking about, and about another third are trying to convince other people not to listen to anyone he disagrees with. The remaining third are just generally disparaging as a rule. He never starts a thread, he never initiates a conversation, and rarely begins with anything that's in any way shape or form contributing to the discussion. Yet he constantly attempts to call other people out saying that they don't want discussions and they're not interested in rational conversation It's just a bad example of a human.1 point

Or... in your case, you just pretend it isn't happening. This is projection. You certainly arrive in these discussions with just as much of your views and conclusions already made as you dismiss anyone and everyone who is even concerned about this.1 point

It's notable that your comments aren't grounded in real politics, or achievable policy changes. It's just how you feel about things. It's fine, but there's not much for me to add, other than "ok, then...".1 point

1. Meh. Such as it is, it's been reported everywhere. Whether the govt. is right/left it doesn't matter. It's media that is causing this IMO. 2. Only one of these things would have any significant impact on you, in all likelihood - immigration. 3. ? Strange. It's like you're angry at yourself. And the rest of your post seems to be about your feelings, so I'll just leave your comments as a testimonial to your inner voices.1 point

Your assumptions of facts was wrong so your thesis is inaccurate.1 point

That was a part of it, almost certainly. But then again, whose responsibility it is, ultimately, to see the changes and respond to them? What if we let go of the steering wheel sit back and wait for someone to fix all and any problems for us? Sure there will be no lack of guru, prophets and other such kind they're always around waiting for an opportunity.1 point

Production caps, no pipelines and endless regulation by Ottawa means that who owns the oil industry is completely irrelevant. The US doesn't need invasion, how about applying the same tariff on Canadian made EV's and parts as Trump will put on China? How about renegotiating USMCA? How about tightening the border? Trump can think of something. Just wait and it might become more clear.-1 points
