Trump was clearly making a joke while Trudeau's comment was just plain insulting. To this day, the federal Liberals have never had a female leader.2 points
-
I don't know if anyone is here to play games. I -do- believe that when people start insulting a person's views or worse, the person themselves, that it greatly impedes any productive discussion. At that point, I don't care whether they are conservative, liberal or something else, the result for me is the same, the quality of the conversation goes down.2 points

Trump wasn't convicted of rape, period. Trump never raped anyone, dummy. At worst he had a sleazy sexual encounter with a promiscuous tart. Grab a dictionary and look u "libel" and "slander", dummy.2 points
-
Sure, but there's a few problems: 1) Many anti-trump people tried to use this as proof that trump was convicted of rape. He absolutely was not so it made the rest of the claims look less serious and even fraudulent given the fact that they lied about him being convicted of rape. Have they really hammered home the idea of sexual assault it would have looked a lot better and been more accurate and stood up to scrutiny. 2) The left made so many accusations about trump, a very large percentage of which were utterly nonsensical, that what began to happen is exactly what I predicted would happen at the beginning of the year and people started to tune out literally everything. They could have caught trump eating a live baby and people would have been like "Yeah whatever". If you inundate people 24 hours a day 7 days a week with that kind of nonsense they become completely blinded and indifferent If the democrats and their supporters had stuck to a small handful of actual provable defensible accusations that spoke strongly to character it would have had a much more devastating effect. Instead we were subject to endless days listening to Tinkerbell laws that nobody believed in, fake fraud cases, Fake Russian collusion theories, constant claims of rape that never happened. In the end nobody cared2 points

Such a foolish and hypocritical thing for him to say. Trudeau promotes women because of DEI and not merit. And we know he does not tolerate women standing up to him.2 points

You can't blame the last 8 years on trump....this is all Justin, The us has tired every encouragement in the book going back decades....finally someone has stood up and said thats enough, buckle the F#ck up and get er done, or face a 25 % tariff....everyone knows it is broken, so why not just say yes, and invest some funding into it....instead you got your ass in the air thinking we are tougher than we look...when in reality we nothing more than a yappy dog....what is it you except to accomplish when dealing with a guy like trump...except getting knocked out...1 point

For your sake I honestly hope you're joking. If that's your idea of putting thought into something we have a lot of work to do Every time you say something like that we can tell that you're actually crying. You're feeling hurt and dejected and you have no other way to respond so you pretend to laugh as a defense mechanism. And no, I own my own house and my own property. I actually do pretty good for myself. People like you are largely irrelevant in my life. It's interesting to watch you flail around once in awhile. and its amusing to watch you try to craft arguments to fit your narrative. But - To be honest you're not as entertaining as some of the low intellect left wingers we have here. Which i assure you is a compliment And you're not the dumbest one by far, so when you make reasonable posts even when i disagree i usually go a little easy on you You have at least some potential to get better and stronger when you're not acting like an !diot But this thread? Kid. You are impressing NOBODY with your performance here, with EITHER nickname. You're certainly not the reason anyone exists You're barely noticeable exactly. Behave respectively get treated with respect. Behave like a tard and get treated with derision and mockery1 point

Trudeau is a traitor because he's advancing the agenda of outside parties against the interests of Canadians, plain and simple. He has betrayed us by harming our energy sector to benefit other countries. He has betrayed us by selling out Canadians to US Big Pharma profits. He has betrayed us by allowing dangerous adversaries to live in our country.1 point
-
Yup. I'm always struck by how so many right wingers who shat on and cancelled the left... as terrorist sympathizers, Islamo-fascists and of course Marxist commies over this decision, have since come around to saying yeah, we should never have gone into Iraq. Of course they're still shitting on the same lefties who were obviously years ahead of the curve they were on. Not a whiff of sentiment that maybe the left was correct - the political landscape is littered with these broken clocks. Now the same surrender monkeys who love accusing lefties of desiring subjugation want to cave to bullies like Trump and Putin.1 point

Yesterday, I challenged @CdnFox to say something positive about Canada, in it's current form. He could not do so. I made a point of saying that it seemed that he was incapable of accepting Canadian values- tolerance, empathy for our less fortunate, and pride in things like diversity and human rights. He just could not bring himself to say anything good about our nation. Instead, he rambled on and on about the "left." OTOH, CdnFox cannot (or will not) say anything negative about Russia. I don not believe he has the best interests of our country in mind. For myself and others, who lived under the Chretien Liberals, I still think he did a great job. He lead us out of the recession of the early 90s, lowered that annual deficit, and left in 2003, with Canada in much better shape than a decade prior. When Chretien stood up in the HoC, and announced that Canada would not participate in the US led invasion of Iraq, in spite of pressure from America, I had never been so proud of being Canadian. And it turns out we were right to stay out of that war. Obviously, I am not a big fan of Trudeau and the Liberal Party, but there is really no better alternative at this point. In conclusion. Canada is facing some big challenges. It is far from perfect. Our health care system is inefficient. The cost of living is ridiculous, and affordability of housing needs to be addressed. However, in spite of this, I am still proud to be Canadian, and always will be. People like @CdnFox want to exploit our problems, and divide us. Don't be like CdnFox. Come together and solve issues, and not advocate hatred and division.1 point

He has already obtained a security clearance, as all MP's have been vetted, the clearance he does not have is top secret which he will have to have as PM...SO much for your liberal conspiracy theory...And just so we are clear, it is the liberals that have not released any info on all those MP that were compromised , most of which were liberals...1 point

They're only putting a lack of faith on display. Our national pride depends on a few key factors to make it viable and a tangible sense of community and faith in that sense is one of them. I think years and decades of dedicated right wing loathing and disrespect for anything other than their own brand has crippled that sense to a point of no return.1 point

Now they understand that Harper was the better bet. Oh well, you get what you voted for & now we have the consequences of a horrible man who is PM who is either: very selfish & self serving, a fascist, a neo Marxist - I could go on. Elections do have consequences & this is what happens when you don't do your due diligence. A failed government that is holding its citizens hostage to whatever the hell they want. We now know that they do not have our best interests at heart - only their own.1 point

1. Interesting. I don't think a conservative would deny that institutions, or at least their public face, have had their mandates increased/changed. 2. "Will of the people" is indeterminate. I don't think that there is a single will anymore, or at least there doesn't appear to be so. My take is that people are not able to supplant moral differences, in the way they did with religions centuries ago. 3. Devil's in the details. Calling for the FBI and IRS and NAFTA to be disbanded is also the new normal. Is it conservative to want to get rid of those ? I think it's radical. Potatoe potato. 4. You can't lay claim to being 'the people' any more than I or my cat can.1 point

- If so then, do you accept the assumption that the grab under discussion here is an attempt to address the supply side of the issue... in other words availability and access to rifles and handguns? The reason I ask is that I don't... I think JT is smarter than that, I believe it's a cheap way of deferring real and appropriate action while simultaneously creating a series of powerful wedge issues that resonate in critical ridings. - Do you accept the assumption (more fact than assumption IMO) that the governments own statistics show that domestically sourced guns represent only 2% of the supply side problem and that 98% of the issue at hand is a function of guns illegally funnelled through a porous border for obvious illegal purposes and that the demand is growing? - Finally, do you accept the assumption that the problem in need of remedy is, indeed, the criminal use of those illegal guns, the possession and use of which is already manifestly illegal under current regulation? Taken a step further will you stipulate that many of the criminals arrested for using those illegal guns (for illegal purposes) were actually on bail for previous gun crimes at the time of re-arrest and already under a lifetime possession ban. Based on those assumptions, and putting aside the regulatory provisions that PAL and RPAL holders are already subjected to as a matter of course, does the decision to address only 2% of the supply side problem with such a weak sister (and expensive) response seem like a reasonable approach to you? Can you defend it as a rational course of action in and of itself, and while doing so, can you justify the money already spent (and the expense of future collection efforts) to finish an action aimed solely at 2% of the problem while virtually ignoring 98% of it. As an aside, keep in mind that we are really talking about the supply here, (criminal use is a separate assumption).... the point is that 2% was also acquired illegally, distributed illegally and used illegally. Most importantly, it isn't tied to wild eyed duck hunters from PEI shooting up the streets of Toronto. If we assume that 2% of crime gun availability is actually attributable to the theft of legal guns from legal owners, it means that they themselves were the victims of crime when their property was stolen. Just for fun, you should look into the number of service weapons lost by or stolen from active duty police officers in Canada... I could tell you but I don't want to ruin it. Then look at some of the individual cases individually and try to imagine a galaxy where a regular owner wouldn't be charged and have his entire collection seized. In keeping with my car analogy, your van was stolen and used in a crime so we're going to confiscate your pickup truck in an effort to deter further criminal behaviour on the part of criminals.... BTW, we're only confiscating it because you added racing stripes and it's now a "racing style pickup" as a result of the addition. Our working "assumption" in doing that is no one needs a racing pickup truck and we are committed to keeping Canadians safe. As a PS, I would observe that the reason you find the car analogy faulty is for two reasons: first your vehicle is important to and you use it every day. Secondly, `by exposure, knowledge and experience, you instantly realize how utterly foolish (and useless) my proposition is. If so, all I can say is welcome to the shooting sports club....1 point

Them is Liberal voters, i never supported that wind bag for anything....He is the real traitor to this country... And in 2024 Canadians will vote and throw him and his gangsters to the curb....they are well past had enough....1 point

I notice you now refer to Canadians as "them." How much is the Kremlin paying you off? At any rate, Sheer, O'Toole, and Poilievre are all poor candidates to run with, so that is on the Conservative Party for selecting unpopular candidates. By 2015, Canadians had enough of Harper, and wanted change.1 point

What if you framed it differently instead of control someone else , what if your protecting some human form from destruction....give a voice to those that can not make any decisions, instead of some 16 year old that's been knocked up twice or more...and still has not grasped the concept of what rubbers are for... And i get it there are going to be special circumstances where abortion is wanted or needed say for medical reasons, rape, ....But 99 % of the abortions in Canada are for convenience...they were to lazy to use birth control measures...not that they can't afford birth control just to lazy to use it.... One of the reasons we have such high levels of immigration is because Canadians are not having enough baby's...those that are unfortunate and can't have babies, well they wait for years to get a chance on adoption...Funny here in NB those on welfare get paid more on the old welfare check for each baby they have, why not offer the same thing in the form of much larger family allowance checks...that's right pay Canadians to have babies...money talks here .1 point

1. Are you saying that becasue the majority of Canadians is behind this opinion, whether it is based in science or biology that it can not challenged...becasue it is one expressed by the majority...like the earth was once flat, but once science proved it was a globe, opinions changed for the most part, and yet science nor biology has given any credence to most of what is being sold by the LGBTQ community, or the majority of Canadians opinions... 2. once again majority rules regardless if it can be proven in science or biology... 3. is it not for a normal society before excepting the majority opinion that it some how be proven as facts first...either by science or biology... or do we now have to figure our how to explain these actions or words by replacing hard science and biology with some other fictitious statement... 5. 1700 people do not meet the majority of Canadians, polls are not a good indication of anything when it comes to say the majority of Canadians think this or that...I'm sure you'd get 2 different answer if you asked Canadians in Alberta, or Toronto. 6. So really it is a trend made up by some 16 year old who is confused about his or her life, it has been picked up by social media and poof this is now our nations opinion, becasue it trended well on social media...when it clearly is a mental health issue, "can we even say that"...and while most normal people are just ignoring the issue all together as it does not effect them in any way... what is the next trend...and what are we going to change to accommodate it...pigs can fly, i can shoot lightning bolts out of my a$$, super heroes are real.. and we are just going to smile and go about our day, but not call them out for their mental health issues, put balance back in the world...1 point
