  1. AGAIN with repeating the same tired, outdated objections. You're making dinner, watching TV and sleeping for 12 hours so who gives a F*ck? Unless you're charging a totally dead Tesla to 100%,you'll have a couple hundred kms to use in the morning. Like FFS if you gotta drive 200km to work and back every day you need to think about moving, not buying an EV. Use you goddam head FFS

  3. Look just because you have some obvious deep feelings of inadequacy about your stint in the military doesn't change the fact that "veteran" doesn't mean "combat veteran" no matter how much you whine about it.

  5. I encourage you guys to run with the line that a guy who served 24 years in the National Guard isn't a veteran. Say it loud, say it proud.

  6. That is so shitty--and on brand Republicans know they can't compete in the marketplace of ideas, but instead of coming up with better ideas they try to disenfranchise people instead. From the coup to this constant crap, they don't seem to place any value in the actual ideals of America, it's just a resource rich piece of land they want to control. I don't understand how any decent person can support that party.

  7. Well it seems he just decided he was not going to Iraq for the fraudulent unnecessary war the Bush White House had concocted and that he’d had enough of the military. Since his dad wasn’t rich enough to bribe a doctor for a forged diagnosis of bone spurs like draft-dodging Trump did, or get him assigned to a do-nothing “Champagne Squadron” full of spoiled rich kids like draft-evading George W Bush, he simply retired without completing the training courses required for his rank so was demoted to his previous rank.

  8. Sorry - you're saying all the military people who complained about him ducking his service are the 'keyboard warriors'? The guys who actually went to combat?

  9. LOL - I'm not spreading anything. These are people who actually served with this unseemly horrible man, and they are stepping forward for reasons of trying to find the truth. This clown shouldn't be in the White House, and of course, dumber than a bag of hammers Kamala shouldn't be either. Two low-functioning communist losers.

  10. This thread amounts to a bunch of cowardly "keyboard warriors" making petty attacks against a man who actually served his country for 24 years. Carping about the rank he was serving at when he retired vs. the rank for his retirement benefits? Jeebus. You people need hobbies.

  11. People have been pointing out the Liberal bot farms on X for many months now, but it's been ignored. For how far ahead the Cons are in the polls, why would they need to use bot farms?

  12. CNN: "We're learning that Biden actually stands the best chance of beating Trump in the next election now, after Kamala laughed when she was asked about how she'd deal with the Fentanyl crisis. Here's Joe now, in a recording from his basement from earlier today..." Joe: "My name is Joe Biden. And I'm. Here. To take back my nomination for the Supreme Court of. Uh. You know the place! I'm gonna beat Corn-Pop and save the uh, Fruit Loops. After nappies." CNN: "WOW! What a powerful speech from a man who's clearly in full control of all his mental faculties."

  13. TBH, the Fox headline was 100% accurate. This is just another case of leftists misquoting Trump so that they can call him names, like when he called MS-13 'animals' and dishonest reporters said: " Trump referred to immigrants as animals 🤥 ".

  14. No. It's just your original post has already been addressed. Nothing inaccurate there. Big nothing burger. Unless FOX News is supposed to anticipate every way you could misinterpret anything they say, there is nothing nefarious about that headline.

  17. No, I think you've missed the point. There is nothing fake about Tim Walz' service. He didn't buy a souvenir hat. He served honorably for 24 years. He attained the rank he claimed. Military service is a big deal for Americans, and it's utterly shameful that online losers are swift-boating a veteran with an honorable record for purely cynical, partisan reasons.

  23. the funny thing is I'm much further to the left than the Dems could ever be, while you, an actual insane and stupid person whose brain has been pickled by too much FoxNews grievance and conspiracy theories, represent the mainstream of the GOP and the contemporary right which is why the "weirdo" thing is working so well on you freaks. Like i said, keep saying shit like "a guy who served for 24 years isn't a veteran", I guarantee it will resonate with exactly zero people outside your bubble of fellow Trump cultists.

  24. Good point. 1 month. By mid-September, Kamala and Tampon Tim will be on the outs.

  25. lol no. That's not what the term "veteran" means dipshit. Anyone who puts their time in is a veteran, but please continue to denigrate people who served but did not fight in a war, I'm sure that will go over great And other members of his unit say those other guys are full of shit.

  28. He retired more than a year before his unit deployed to a non-combat role in Iraq, so that he could run for Congress. The Guard could have recalled him if they wanted to.

  31. They literally said "if the conditions aren't met, the promotion is null and void, like it never happened." Except the time he spent serving as CSM did happen and he wasn't demoted until after he retired. His rank when he retired was CSM. He was demoted after he put in his papers to retire (there's that pesky linear passage of time again!). The distinction between the rank he held when he put in his papers and the rank it says on his benefits package is one that matters only to Walz and the Army and the fact you people are trying to pretend this administrative demotion means a guy with 20+ years of service is "stealing valor" demonstrates your desperation for material.

  32. Baloney, because if you served, then you know perfectly well that they could have recalled him.

  33. No. I want him prosecuted. And there's a bunch of senators and politicians in the US that are trying to make that happen when they witnessed him lying about the gof research. So this act of yours, pretending that I'm the only person in the world who thinks he's responsible for the pandemic, is pretty fuquing lame. Question is: why DON'T you want the person responsible for the pandemic prosecuted? I mean if you truly believe there were swaths of bodies being bulldozed into mass graves all over the world, why wouldn't you?

  36. Is it immoral for a mother to kick her kids out of the house because she doesn't want them anymore...drop them off at the local fire hall, or hospital...with a note i don't want these kids any more...are those good moral choices... Like any thing in life there are rules to the exception, abortion would be legal if there was rape, or unwanted sex...medical reasons, drug issues, and perhaps others i have not thought of , but one should see a medical and mental health doctor before any procedures are done...One must think of all the options this women had before making this one decision, the morning after pill, condoms, the patch, millions of other inventions to stop pregnancy... most of them affordable , less than a pack of smokes...and still after all that, abortion is the one of the choices they turn to for prevention... While we are dumping unwanted humans in the medical waste so many parents out there are looking to adopt...some even going out of country to do so , because the lists and wait is so long.

  37. No, wrong. My purpose is to invite everyone who can and will use their own sound judgement to take into account objective facts and reality. There can be any number of bombastic liars full of themselves around. As long as they keep it to their private lives it's nothing to do with me, except I wouldn't want them as my friends or even regular acquaintance. This is different and it's nothing to do with personality only the fact that a prolific, principle-less liar is running for a top position in the country, thanks to the party that totally and grotesquely failed its responsibility to the citizens and democracy. And this is not a small matter to be shrugged of. He lied a lot and non stop about "stolen election". He never came forward to either withdraw it and repent or explain what real, objective facts his claims are based on. So it's not going away: he lied and it remains out in the open. He tried to use his powers and influence to overturn democratic election, in essence: embezzle citizens of their fair result. Again, zero responsibility. He is on the record on numerous occasions talking nice and fuzzy about the worst totalitarian thugs on the planet. He never came forward to explain the meaning of this attachment. See, it's nothing to do with the individual: only a pattern of irresponsibility; lies and alliances those who can and will make decisions for themselves should know and think about. And sure, it's never wrong to see and think about choices that can be important.

  38. All three of those things are untrue. He signed a law that schools must provide free menstrual supplies to girls in grades 4-12. It doesn’t say that they need to be placed in any bathrooms, much less in boys’ bathrooms. He left the National Guard a year before his unit deployed, after 24 years of service. How long did you serve in the armed service? More than 24 years?

  39. It's absolutely not the kind of thing he should be saying. It's just dumb to make comments about a world leader you might be having to deal with shortly even if he's unpopular. I said so when Justin made comments about trump and i'll say so when trump makes comments about justin. But i think 'high level of professionalism' is probably an unreasonable expectation from trump at this point And i do love the comedy The country always seemed to run just fine dispite his silly comments but they do make me laugh. I mean i get it - they shoved a picture in his face (we all know the one ) comparing the two and said 'what do you think' and tell him the family was close and visited cuba and he knows nothing of the timeline, so he says "anything's possible". But it's still hilarious. Four more years of that kind of stuff? Sign me up!

  40. His representative, the Governer General, can. And does. And has for every single election we've ever had. They've also forced elections or denied elections on occasions where political parties were playing games with democracy. you're completely uneducated.
    1 point
  41. Yeah that was obvious. He doesn't understand what you're talking about, he's very clearly not educated on political systems. As we both know it's not common for me to agree but yes, you're correct and that is the benefit of the westminster model, or at least of having a GG (the monarchy really isn't important per se) the GG is the circuit breaker for democracy - doesn't have much to do most of the time but when they do it's critical. And it's come up several times in our history.
    1 point
  42. Sigh. He didn't say monarchy. He said constitutional monarchy. And while i usually disagree with him, @blackbird is quite right although what he means is the Westminster system of gov't. And he didn't say revolution wasn't impossible he said that what was happening in venezuela wouldn't be. And that is because the GG acts like a democracy circuit breaker. If for example trudeau illegally tried to stay in power the GG would say 'nope' and that gov't would no longer be legitimate. So. On top of everything else you don't understand the difference between a monarchy and a constitutional monarchy modeled on the westminster system.Fak kid - is there anything you DO know?
    1 point
  43. I don't think that is true. People do care about the Royal family. Some members of the Royal family are very popular, such as Princess Anne, Prince William and Princess Katherine. King Charles III is trusted and popular. I don't see any problem with that. The Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP are not divided on the Monarchy and would support them. It is silly to say the King does not matter. Of course many Canadians understand the monarchy is an essential part of our Parliamentary democracy. It would be very difficult in our system for a would be dictator to take over and cancel elections. In Venezuela, the whole structure is geared to supporting the President and it is very difficult at the present time for the opposition party to stop him. That is not how things work in Canada.
