Any intellectuals, journalists, or psychologists for that matter who are reasonably honest, no matter their political affiliation, should be very concerned about this attempt to cancel and discredit one of Canada’s most important public intellectuals. It says a lot about how far we’ve fallen in Canada. You are only allowed to have a very narrow range of opinions in Canada, and it’s distinctly on the left. People have become so fragile and easily offended that few public figures say anything of substance anymore. The professional governing bodies, whether it’s law, psychology, or anything else, have been co-opted by special interest groups who take great offence at any kind of criticism or lack of embrace. What happened to Peterson doesn’t reflect badly on Peterson, it reflects badly on the jealous, petty, and politicized professional associations who can’t handle any kind of honest critical thinking and free speech because it doesn’t support their own simpering cowardice. It also reflects badly on our grotesquely politicized courts and public institutions. With Peterson’s stature, I’m amazed that he doesn’t just become an American and leave behind the predictably weak-minded phoney left-wing group think that has become synonymous with the Canadian identity. It’s not Peterson who needs to change. He’s brave, productive, and helpful. The College of Psychologists and aforementioned institutions need to change. Sadly, given everything we’ve seen unfold in Canada these past several years, I’m not holding my breath for much to change.3 points

You know full well wars didn't spring up because of Biden. That's lunacy. You also know Trump made the deal to give Afghanistan back to the Taliban and withdrew all but the final skeleton crew. (Another mess left for his successor.) Final extraction was not great, but it's hard to imagine how it could have gone better with the scant personnel in country. Was going to be rough either way. You say that stores are still being looted--so apparently Biden didn't fix everything that was happening under Trump? The "border crisis" didn't exist under Trump? The streets of San Francisco were clean under Trump? Inflation was high, but we know why and the Fed seems to have navigated the soft landing. What you've posted here is a childish tantrum--just a list of things you don't like in the world and for which you want to inexplicably blame Biden. Can't you complain about something Biden actually did or caused? Is there a policy from the WH causing harm? Maybe talk about that. It is an undeniable fact that America and Americans are better off in almost any measure from when Biden took over. It's not even debatable. The recovery under Biden has been extraordinary. Biden can't claim all the credit, but you sound like a deranged fool pretending he made things worse. It's laughable.3 points

Nope. Dumb question. We'd continue to improve. As we have for the last 3 years. We're miles and miles better off than the dumpster fire Biden inherited from Trump. You're really such a hack.3 points

I've always pegged it as staring in Iran 1953, when Britain seduced the US into participating in Operation Ajax. Dictatorships started blooming everywhere following that. Probably feeling guilty after Operation Ajax and the monster he helped create.3 points

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/canadians-ridicule-trudeau-govt-after-renewable-energy-failure-nearly-ends-in-catastrophe/ 'How many would be dead in Alberta tonight if all they had was wind turbines and solar panels to rely on? -31 in Edmonton tonight,' one popular Canadian social media user said during last weekend's cold snap. An extreme cold snap which led to near minus 50 degrees Celsius (58 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures in much of Western Canada over the weekend, and nearly caused one province’s power grid to collapse due to a failure of wind and solar power, saw many call out Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government’s green energy agenda which is looking to phase out carbon-based power in favor of “renewables.” “How many would be dead in Alberta tonight if all they had was wind turbines and solar panels to rely on? -31 in Edmonton tonight,” posted X, formerly Twitter, user John Lee Pettimore. Interesting take on it. I mean - he's not wrong.2 points

It has nothing to do with feeling. It has everything to do with experience. See...during the first 4 years with Trump as POTUS, the USA experienced energy independence, a hot economy, world security and controlled borders. Oh ya...and he gave you your treasured vaccines too. Biden has undone all that and it shows. There's really no contest between the performance of the 2. Oh you can warp things and post all sorts of silly Libbie talking points but...none of that matters because...the people know what they had, and what they have now. Too bad so sad.2 points

In the words of scientists without an agenda: "We do not have a carbon release problem, we have a carbon absorption one"....or words to that effect. The phytoplankton of both oceans and fresh water are by far the largest and fastest reacting sink of CO2. One species alone (diatoms) are responsible for 42% of all of the oxygen on the planet being released from absorbed (and used) CO2. Problem is: we have managed to poison the living shit out of the oceans and have reduced their ability to use CO2 .. A lot of the anti-carbon "science" is a populist movement to demonize the oil industry and move business into other directions. Doing this masks the real problems of ocean pollution that we barely pay lip service to. When money flows to support this kind of thing, "scientists" (i.e. those who produce diddly shit but need funding to pay the bills - so go where and say what will get their bux) line up to cash in. for those who give a damn: https://goesfoundation.com/2 points

Its' more about the border. So your premise is somewhat dishonest. They try to package ukraine and the border as one deal - trump complains about the border, and you claim it's about the ukraine. Are you seriously saying that there's NOTHING LEGIT to complain about with regards to trump so you have to make stuff up or twist the truth? You couldn't find legit issues with him?2 points

sorry man... but thats completely unrepresentative. you simply can't look at that difference in reporting period and not have the overall counts of the populations to derive what you believe. period. sorry. you could make an argument that population numbers are unrepresentative like you suggest... if you had those numbers. and if you knew how those numbers were acquired or calculated. but you don't. so you are hypothesizing. meanwhile, the stats i provided you were derived from the government of Alberta! antivax central! but even more importantly... you just kinda conveniently skipped over the most important question. what about the grand conspiracy. please inform people about how that works. please inform people about how 100's of thousands of people who make a lifetime career in medicine and related fields are all contriving to pull this hoax off. that includes all state/provincial, national and international health agencies, universities and hospitals. you look at two graphs and the hoax is up! but how did they pull this off?! without any leaks whatsoever of the grand scheme that everyone is participating in. do tell.2 points

The USA and the planet in general have gone to hell since Biden took over: War in Ukraine War in Israel Rampant illegal immigration: it's so bad that even Dems are calling it a crisis now, and asking for border walls Rampant homelessness: once-beautiful cities like San Fran are becoming massive slums, rife with tents, garbage and human waste Rampant crime. The looting that was sanctioned by the Dems during the BLM riots hasn't stopped: stores are still being looted, although less often. Shoplifting has basically been legalized now, and is a lucrative industry for some. Runaway inflation. The price of gas and food is basically double what it was at the end of Trump's presidency Vax mandates - the end of freedom in the US The rise of political hatred. Joe's hate speech has driven leftards into a frenzy. They don't even talk about policy anymore, just about how much they hate Trump, straight white males, and conservatives. Can the US even get any worse? Is it even possible for Biden to drive the country further into the ground? Sadly, yes. Look at Venezuela. The US is on the same path as Venezuela was a few years ago. No one even talks about Venezuela anymore though because the difference between them and the US is so small now. Another Dem administration would bring the US down to the level of Mexico north, if it's not already there... Corrupt gov't officials are becoming the norm, the thoroughly corrupt FBI will keep getting worse, the gov't's backing crime syndicates like BLM and Antifa wil continue, looting will still be occurring even without riots, illegal immigration and homelessness will continue to get worse... If we elect PP and the US elects Biden, we might see a massive wave of immigrants from the US into Canada. Buckle up...1 point

I'm just saying that if it's close enough, the Dems can definitely cheat enough to pull it off. If the vote is lopsided by a million or so, it becomes much harder to cheat. There are too many polling stations in each state to swing the result with just one polling station if it's really lopsided everywhere else.1 point

And the fact that liberals hate Trump seems to be a huge selling point for his supporters. Not his policies, they barely get mentioned as I noted. I feel that the US created such a stable and prosperous society that, eventually, the need for mass entertainments provoked the big party establishments into using making politics more and more like a show. 64 years on, people seem to take it for granted that social, economic, trade, and defense policy does not need serious attention. Serious attention. The powers that be willed to a greater or lesser extent take care of things. I wish people would stop making this into pro wrestling, and start talking about serious problems.1 point

yet the most effective drone operations are being conducted by the infantry as the drone threat comes in under the coverage, below the air force level of operations hand held drones delivering a hand grenade equivalent warhead are doing the most damage said kamikaze drones are more like mortars than they are like airpower any drone being utilized by air forces are easily shot down, it's just an unmanned aircraft, which is a sitting duck the truly dangerous drones are man portable, launched from the trenches because they're so small, 3D printed and handed out to the troops at the Section & Platoon level there is no "air defence" designed to counter them although the only reason these hand held drones are becoming decisive is that nobody is able to win the war at the strategic level by striking deep into the enemy's rear with airpower if either side tries to fly their air force over enemy held territory, they just get shot down so both sides are resorting to drones as a last resort at the tactical level yet what we know from the World Wars, is that you can't win the land war at all, until you have won the air war the whole war is won or lost at the strategic level, by striking the enemy industrial capacity, or not if you are not striking the enemy at the source of production then you are simply rendered back to a stalemate in the trenches by default it is only when you can bypass the enemy trenches to destroy his capacity to produce armies in the first place that you actually win the war1 point

Well as i recall - and this isn't my area of intense study or anything - the 2 state palestine solution was on the table and being negotiated with the Palestinian authority back around 2012 - 2014 or so. And progress was being made, but then the authority decided to official recognize and make peace with hamas. A given that hamas wants israel dead the israelis walked away from the talks refusing to negotiate when a terrorist group was involved even if they were the gov't of gaza. I think israel was willing to work out a two state solution but that was seriously damaged by that - now i can't see how they'd ever agree to it especially with hamas still in power or having any influence with the palestine authority. I think this has taken something that was already on life support and killed it1 point

You can really see beads of sweat starting to form on the faces of these poor libtards. The Trump energizer bunny didn't die like they hoped. In fact, they only made him stronger by trying to cancel him, and boy, how they tried. In fact all that trying and lying is what really pissed people off. I predict popcorn shortages in Canada once again. And that soon, very soon, Don the Bogeyman will come out of the closet... again! Trump Simply Cannot Be Stopped1 point

There's little doubt that there's a number of scientists who dissent and many who have been threatened to shut up. The majority believe that we are warming and that the consequences COULD be very serious. I find most of the people who make claims bout 'what the science says' haven't actually read the science. Having said that i do think that the evidence is very strong that the earth is getting warmer right now and it's believable human emissions plays a role in that. What bothers me is the fairly unsubstantiated doomsday predictions which are always on the very extreme edge of the spectrum of possibilities and the idea that if we pay a tax it'll all go away.1 point

Here's the problem. Fire alarms work because they are a sudden unexpected noise that startles people into action. But - if you leave the fire alarm running all day and nite then eventually people learn to tune it out. At that point another fire alarm isn't going to be noticed The dems and supporters have been saying the world is about to end because trump non stop as loudly as they can since the day he got elected. Remember when it was "my god, he's got the nuclear codes!!!" So now nobody is listening. If anything they're actually making things worse for themselves because when people tune out the noise they start to look at track records and that's not what the dems wanted. If the dems were smart they'd have held their fire on the whole 'orange man bad' routine for now, and they'd have had like one or two court cases. 6000 court cases including a jaywalking ticket from 1967 and daily claims that hes' trying to take over the country and he'll be a hitler and he grinds babies bones for his bread etc has now made the US tone deaf to it and they're like 'yeah yeah - so you say you can bring jobs back?"1 point

🤣The only things you "proved conclusively" is that you have no idea how to evaluate efficacy AND that you are so politically entrenched that you have no interest in learning. I am definitely not going to recapitulate the stupid vaccine conversation again, or the reasons why the most vulnerable were also the most vaccinated, but suffice it to say that you have not uncovered the secret information that the world's doctors, scientists, epidemiologists and academics have somehow overlooked. You're just another internet kook who thinks he he understands climate better than climatologists and vaccines better than the epidemiologists and virologists--while getting even the basics wrong.
