  1. Well, either he is or he isn't, it won't make any difference to his base, they will excuse anything.

  3. I care even less. This is incredibly stupid: Everyone knows that both Bill Clinton and Donald Trump took flights on Epstein’s jet to his private island. And so far, that’s all we know. We already knew that this document release would name them, but just because their names are in somebody’s contact list, it doesn’t mean they committed a crime. If it turns out that either or both of them engaged in statutory rape, they should face trial, if the SOL hasn’t tolled.

  4. During the pandemic, a nuclear aircraft carrier was jeopardized because of a Covid outbreak. As a matter of national security, immunizations are necessary to keep ships afloat and tightly-grouped men working in close quarters overseas at military readiness. It’s not an option and this has been military policy since George Washington ordered smallpox inoculations.

  6. Right. We're not talking about a moral fan base. The worse he does, the more they love him. They won't be disgusted by Trump leering at a gaggle of underage Ivanka lookalikes on Epstein's plane, they'll be jealous.

  8. How many times has palestine been offer the 2 state solution, by outside governments and Israel...and how many times did the controlling palestinian government refuse...Maybe you can tell the readers what their response was put a little context to your statement... and now you you state Netanyahu may not offer a 2 state solution like thats the problem, that is the straw that broke the camels back...perhaps you can explain what you would have done if 1400 of your countrymen died in a terrorist attack....i want to remind you what did your country do when after 9/11, it went to war....an action i supported... so why is it so wrong for Israel to defend itself and slap the shit our of those responsible...

  11. I don't need a "big comeback". Every time you launch into one of these farcical performances telling people how upset you've decided you're making them, everyone can see your fragile ego projecting. If it's always, always you bringing up emotions, hissy fits, butthurt and muffins etc, maybe the problem is you? 🤣

  12. It is relevant when her decision to remove Trump was based on an extreme interpretation of the law. It's an abuse of power.

  13. No, she thinks it's her job, but what she's really doing is trying to derail Donald Trump's Presidential campaign. There's no reason for Bellows to rule on anything. The SCOTUS is here to make rulings that actually matter, not serve as a blockade against left-wing radicals. The desperate b*tch is wasting everyone's time.

  14. There is much wrong with that. Sorry. And while the appeal will straighten that out the fact is that doesn't make her attack on democracy right. If the police catch a thief and put back something the thief stole from your house, the thief is still in the wrong.
    1 point
  15. It was her job to rule on the objection. She held a hearing and she ruled. The ruling is subject to appeal. She said she will abide by whatever the final appeal determines. Nothing wrong with that. Basically, this issue will head to the US Supreme Court, they are heavily biased towards Trump. Whether she ruled for or against Trump is irrelevant; the issue is going to the US Supreme Court either way, so don’t get your panties all twisted up over her ruling.

  16. You said he was elitist, which is pretty different than elite. Being elite is good. Being elitist is not. As for who's getting upset, it looks like you're reverting back to your programming and making up what you want to argue against, and how the other poster is feeling. If you want to argue with yourself, go for it. 😄👌

  17. Of course it doesn't. I mean - at the very least their families will vote for them (Ba da DING!) But it does mean people in general aren't going to buy their accusations about Donald. They might still vote for them for other reasons, but they're hoping to suppress the republican vote or convert them to dems with this nonsense and they just won't - it's a bad case of "the boy who cried trump". Sure - and reality has caught up with the people and they're suffering, and now they can't afford to allow themselves to be deluded. But i don't know that the us has quite gotten there with biden or trump. Yeah - they call it something else if you "help" them without their express permission i'm told That has been an interesting phenomenon. At this point, apperently nobody in canada voted for trudeau's liberals They all disavow ever having done so, it's kind of confusing how he managed to get so much support without anyone voting for them. and they'd all vote conservative if we'd just pick Mike chong as the leader

  23. Apparently you don't know what I don't know, as well as what I know. Don Trump used his clout to force those deadbeat nations to live up to their committment. Canada is included in that list. Of course after Trump is gone they're happy to become lax in their NATO investment. Then they prance around in their tutu's saying that bad ol Trump is a Putin supporter! But hey, always happy to give you people an edumacation.

  25. Okay, I guess DO double down on on the stupid. 🙄 I guess you think if we weren't NATO members we wouldn't have to fund our individual national defense. Taxes would magically go down! 🤪 Which is absurd. We'd all actually have to pay more for defense without the benefit of a joint security alliance. In fact, that is what the beef has been with countries meeting or not meeting their NATO obligations. Some countries, cloaked in the benefit of joint security, were slacking off on their defense spending. They were spending less on defense, confident that if Putin got aggressive their allies would pick up the slack. Think of it as an HOA, where every member in the neighborhood agrees to spend 2% of home value annually on upkeep and maintenance of their own property as well as a shared access road. There is no money-making element of NATO. Nobody is opposing Putin to justify the existence of NATO for ongoing financial gain. That's just bog stupid.
    1 point
  26. You really don't seem to have even the slightest clue of what NATO is or how it operates. It's an alliance of nations, not a third-party for-profit entity. There is no money-making scheme. If NATO ceased to exist tomorrow there would be zero reduction in our budget or tax rates. We'd actually have to spend more money to achieve the same level of security outside of an alliance. And, again, $3 billion is less than trivial for any of the member countries, let alone all of them together. It's not moving world events. What you proposed is just incredibly stupid. Don't defend it. Don't double down. Just call it a "momentary lapse" and move on.

  27. NATO has been strengthened by a large injection of cash from countries who were forced to pony up, live up to their legal agreements thanks to TRUMP. And that is PROVEN FACT. CNN and Dem lies cannot cover it. Trump did this on his OWN INITIATIVE. Do you think Putin was very happy about that? I guess that shoots your whole theory that Trump is a puppet for PUTIN right out of the water. https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/news_170796.htm Oh dear, a little fly in your cornflakes this fine mornin!

  28. You're seeing all of this through an enthusiastic fan's eyes. Less of what he's shown us so far, more adult stuff, and you could be right. Doesn't seem like you know much at all. Calling him 'elitist' is a rather weak and meaningless emotional plea. Your claim that he's a tax-and-spend Liberal is also silly and I suspect based on nothing, particularly because he was never in charge of taxation or fiscal spending. That was the responsibility of the man who appointed him, Stephen Harper.

  31. well it's not like canada hasn't had it's own experiences with wind - lets see how that went..... Turbine issues are still blowing in the wind across the province Health concerns must be balanced with energy benefits, advocates argue https://obj.ca/turbine-issues-are-still-blowing-in-the-wind-across-the-province/ The failure of a wind turbine at the Bow Lake wind power facility near Sault Ste. Marie is raising questions about safety around the giant industrial structures and current Ontario… https://www.windconcernsontario.ca/category/setbacks/ Ontario family says wind turbines have made life a ‘nightmare’ https://globalnews.ca/news/3490234/ontario-wind-turbines-family-complaints/ Hmmmm. Well it sounds like they wasted a lot of money on something that caused a lot of problems before they eventually largely shut it down. The day will come when we have true energy storage options and then large scale repacement of the grid would be possible, But in the meantime its mostly going to come from water, nukes and gas.

  32. This is actually old news, it came out early on when Epstein was imprisoned and killed. What came out at the time was that they knew each other and partied a few times, but then they had a falling out and were not friends. Why that happened was not clear. Now let the revisionists begin. The closer they get to the election, the more the accusations and charges will ramp up. Until Trump is facing 1000 life-sentences. Then he'll still get about 50% of the votes, +- 3%.

  33. For the most part the businesses were smaller. You get paid to run a 100 person outfit worth 10 million (adjusted dollars) you get x - if you're good enough to run a 10,000 person out fit worth 5 billion - you get more. That's the benefit of the market system - it creates more wealth and more opportunity and more people make more money.

  38. And that's just the start. That drives the costs of food and goods production through the roof, which reduces the buying power of everyone, creates food insecurity and represses our economy. And further it leads to higher costs for everything else, and the instability tends to keep invesment out of the economy. Which in turn always affects productivity and gdp per capita, which means people have less money at a time of increased costs. It's a disaster. It can turn back the quality of life for people by 100 years, and that always has very serious consequences. THe left likes to pitch it as 'more efficient' but as we've already seen the opposite is true. There will come a day when the tech is there to be greener and cleaner and do so more cost effectively than we produce power today. But that day is NOT here. ANd forcing it only brings chaos.
    1 point
  39. Right is ranking by gdp per person initialy which is the first element they're measuring. Left side is ranking after adjustments. And i'm sorry but that's like saying "i don't accept the world is round". Well... i guess you can take that position but there's a rather huge volume of evidence to suggest you're wrong It's not the ONLY important indicator and as i've frequently said taking ANY indicator in complete isolation can very quickly lead to a misleading result but it's a very important one. It tends to indicate the ability of the people of a nation to have gov't services and to have disposable income. People cannot get paid more than they produce for long or the system falls apart, so how much they produce per capita has real and serious meaning. This is well recognized. You would normally look at a number of other factors adjusted for circumstances such as average wage increases vs inflation as well. That gets tricky around covid, the average wage shot up during the lockdowns and CERB, not because wages changed but because a lot of the lower paid jobs vanished as people went home so teh 'average' went up with them taken off the list. But you did say you wanted a 'quick' answer - that's the quick answer. When you look at our overall situation we fell short far more than almost every other country. I believe we something like the bottom 10 out of 38 developed nations.

I don't think so, pervert, but let's read it together: "More than 200 U.S. active duty and retired service members are vowing to hold senior military leaders in the Biden administration — "who broke the law" — accountable for establishing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate." Looks like it came straight from the woke degenerates of Biden's military. Fuhrer Biden scrambles with the best of them when it comes to drumming our draconian mandates.

  44. Tell us about your alternatives. Do you mean solar and wind that produce so little energy that we couldn’t operate a developed society or even keep our lights on at night, you know the ones that the oil and gas sector loves because they must be backstopped with natural gas, coal, or oil power generation when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining? Reality dictates that other than the few jurisdictions with abundant hydropower like Quebec and parts of Ontario and B.C., the only way to make up the balance of our energy requirements is through non-renewables. At that point the question is, “Which non-renewables are the least environmentally damaging?” The answer will generally be nuclear and natural gas. The alternative of course is to make people live in tents, reduce their living standards by 80%, and send all manufacturing and most jobs overseas. That’s the radical left carbon tax and regulation plan. Small incentives like tax breaks and modest cap and trade for industry may help spur innovation, but only if the playing field is level and all countries are doing them. Any policies that lower living standards or impoverish people are bad, because only a well educated, prosperous society can afford to give attention to nebulous concepts like “climate science”, and only such a cutting edge society can bring solutions and create wealth from selling technology. Economic consequences will always trump climate concerns, whether you like it or not. No one wants expensive energy and not being able to afford to buy a home, let alone afford rent and healthy food. If a government imposes lower living standards on a population, those with the talent and means to leave the country will do so. The irony is that places without carbon taxes like the US have seen bigger drops in greenhouse gas emissions than Canada through innovation and productivity gains. Canada protects monopolies in the name of maintaining control, but it basically means Canadians pay more for fewer options and our less competitive and innovative big companies are protected by not having to compete. To advance environmentally and in other ways that improve quality of life, we need the widest range of energy options The same applies to housing and other options. We need an abundance mentality Deregulate, unlock supply, let innovation and competition thrive in the freest marketplace we can handle. Maybe also stop bringing in so many people and setting policies that don’t serve the interests of the Canadians who are already here.

A more informed opinion from the NP "The traditional explanation is that members need to feel they have a voice in the party, but everyone knows these policy proposals aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. Political scientist Tom Flanagan has argued this style of (supposed) policy-making is simply unsuited to the “permanent campaign” style of politics to which we have all become accustomed." https://nationalpost.com/opinion/selley-conservative-policy-conventions-media
