Michael just doesn't care. You notice he explains nothing in detail but simply repeats the same remarks of adoration for whatever the government does. Usually just two or three sentences. He knows if he says more than that, he will trap himself because he really has no answers. This government is strictly a one-man band show. Trudeau appoints whoever he wants to be minister and the main qualification is they must be compliant to his wishes totally or they will not be there. That's why he appointed Christia Freeland to be Finance Minister and Deputy PM. She is totally in awe of him and does exactly what he says like a jumping trick dog. Same with the other ministers such as the radical Greenpeace activist and the one who brought in C11. Both jumping trick dogs that do what they're told.2 points

Wow!!! Well, thank you again sir for telling me my right to speak comes from the government. I would never have realized my very existence and right to breath, speak and everything else was due to the benevolence of our big brother, the Trudeau government.2 points

You need to study C11. I don't think you have much idea of what it is all about. You seem ok with have the CRTC bureaucracy controlling the internet in certain ways but you don't understand what it is all about. Considering how poorly this government has managed many departments, it is surprising you would trust them with managing anything on the internet. We need to dig deeper into this bill to learn exactly what it means before making too many broad nonsensical comments. Just one small example of government mismanagement is the pandemic hotels. The government spent millions of dollars renting hotels for quarantine and many times they were hardly used. Try Google and see how many millions dollars they spend on one hotel in Calgary for a small number of people. Yet you trust them with everything. They are also under the microscope for giving contracts worth a vast amount of money to McKinsey corporation for advice. Trudeau writes cheques like money is water.2 points

Well, no matter how you slice things, Health Canada and virtually every expert in the field is still saying the same thing - that unvaccinated people are, have been and likely will remain being responsible for half the hospitalizations and deaths. Of course they don't have the 7th smartest guy on the Internet on the team so go figure.1 point

The government has already proven they are anti-God and anti-Bible morality when they passed laws celebrating and protecting certain classes of people, who identify as non-binary, from anything that anyone might consider as hate speech. So for the government to bring in a bill to control speech on the internet is just another step in the direction of control of what Canadians can say, even if it contradicts their religious beliefs. You are obviously OK with that. Canada Forces Government Speech and Bans Bible Verses | Answers in Genesis1 point

1. Rights are inalienable. You are born with them. We farm out things like road maintenance. In exchange, we expect that our money given through taxation is going to go towards certain things ie building a new road. We don't expect money to be used to control thought or speech. That's the tradeoff. In recent years, left wing governments have crept and crept into education, licensing bodies etc... politics is useless as decisions are made by unelected marxists in these positions... the system needs to be torn down as you have some anti-freedom folks now imposing Marxism on the masses through various institutions. Leftism is a dangerous cult that should be swiftly dealt with1 point

I'm gunna concede the point. After closer examination, I've found this: "The independent analysis, by two cyber investigators from Minneapolis-based Computer Forensics Services, found no evidence that the user data had been modified, fabricated or tampered with. Nor did it find any new files originating after April 2019, when store records indicate Biden dropped it off for repair". Well done.1 point

That's kind of a misleading statement. The owner of the shop first tried to contact the owner to come and pick up the laptop. The shop owner was apparently not even 100% certain that it was Hunter that dropped off the laptop. He was not able to successfully reach the owner for a period exceeding 3 months. Now that laptop is considered to be abandoned by the owner and becomes the property of the repair shop owner. According to Isaac’s account, the FBI first made a forensic copy of the laptop, then returned weeks later with a subpoena and confiscated it. When he stopped hearing from the FBI, Isaac said he contacted several members of Congress, who did not respond. At that point, his intermediary reached out to Rudy Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello. Hunter Biden served defamation lawsuit days before his lawyer called for criminal probes (nypost.com) According to this link, the FBI had a forensic copy of the laptop well before Giuliani had it.1 point

Fair enough...this is part of the problem. Nixon had a Cold War backdrop with boundaries to inform such matters, and the U.S. State Dept. had more "gravitas" with diplomacy. Now it is just a crap shoot. China is more than likely to be contrite this time around because the cost to save face is not very high, and Xi wants to play ball at some level because of the disturbance Putin has caused in global commerce. Add Taiwan and North Korea to the mix, and it is easy to relegate a spy balloon to the historical minor league, but it's a talker right now for 'merkins waiting another week for the Super Bowl .1 point

Regardless of the actual threat or non-threat that this high altitude balloon represents, the White House and Pentagon are faced with some very basic questions with few answers thus far: 1) How long has this been going on ? 2) Why couldn't the balloon be detected, intercepted, and "neutralized" earlier in its flight path ? 3) Sarcastically, why spend billions on missile defense if the Pentagon and allies cannot/will not stop a balloon/blimp (technology that pre-dates the U.S. Civil War) ? So we can expect the usual narrative is being developed behind the scenes while appearing to be "tough on China". Spying is spying...the U.S. does plenty of it around the world....more than many other nations...and better than China. I gotta believe some yahoos are shooting at the damn thing just for fun !1 point

The logic behind the dairy board is to prevent larger jurisdictions with larger economies of scale from dumping on our domestic producers and forcing them out of business or into their fold. What often starts as a reasonable goal, however, is screwed into a self-serving grift that does more harm than good. There are other ways we can protect our domestic farmers without having to take it in the ass at the grocery store, or force them to dump surpluses into the earth.1 point

You need to grow up EF. If you want to know how well masks work just look at the quotes from Fauci - Mr Science himself: They don't work and people shouldn't wear them. No, they do work and everyone should wear them. They'll give people a false sense of security so we shouldn't wear them. Definitely wear them. Nope. Yep. Maybe. Definitely. If you're vaccinated, you don't need a mask because you can't spread covid. Oh crap, it doesn't slow the spread of covid at all. Wear a mask. The pandemic is over now, even though more people are dying of covid than ever. Don't wear masks. FYI those blue masks that everyone wears don't stop droplets from getting out or in. Don't forget to check in on CNN or CTV to get the latest updates for your cult.1 point

Every year, a pandemic of flu and colds spreads through the world. There is no method by which we can stop this spread to every country. Trying to guess who brought flu to your city would be a fool's errand. So, if as some of our more alarmed friends are claiming, COV-19 is more infectious than flu, just what are we trying to accomplish here? We could NEVER "contain" influenza. No way, no how. So how can we do so with something that is allegedly so much more contagious? We can't. So just what are we playing at here? Why all this panic and outlandish reaction? It's not going to achieve anything. If this is like the flu, there is literally no way to put that genie back in the bottle. Here's the dirty secret: people panic and want to keep panicking because panic feels good. Panic feels like doing something and when something scares us, we all want to feel like we're doing something. But panic rarely leads one to do the right thing. It helps you drown. It also opens you up to demagogues and the perpetually panicked. It's how you wind up following some guy around old Salem town with torches and pitchforks, looking for witches to burn instead of realizing that maybe you ate some bad bread and are tripping like Amy Winehouse. Many of you have never listened to an epidemiologist before. Please allow me to impart some insight: epidemiologists are the permabears of bioscience. They're a triple paranoid version of zerohedge in a white coat, they have predicted 200 of the last 0 ends of the world. This is not any different. Epidemiologists love epidemics. They root for them because they want to watch and want to study. They amplify the terror because that's where the grant money to do what they love comes from. Getting one to go on TV and predict pandemic is like getting a guy from Saskatchewan to yell "GO RIDERS!!!!!!" behind a newscaster on location. Seriously. try and stop them. This is the moment permabears wait for. This is not to say they are always wrong, but their track record is pretty dismal. Zika, Dengue, Ebola, we could go on and on. In many, they outright got their facts wrong. (see: micro-encephalitis) the track record of folks telling you to panic should be assessed. Develop your own opinions here, but do it critically. Remember this is all new material for most of you. Remember that you do not know these "experts". Remember that panic is often more dangerous that the original danger.0 points

Wake up. The health authorities have access to all the research, data and studies that we all do. They ignore it. They ignored myocarditis until people started demanding answers. They ignored menstrual issues until people started demanding answers. They ignored natural immunity until people started demanding answers. They ignored science. Yes, I agree that if they have life-saving information they should pass it on. They don't. For example - from the beginning of covid, smaller studies have shown that Vitamin D has a life saving effect. Now, this study just came out: Protective Effect of Vitamin D Supplementation on COVID-19-Related Intensive Care Hospitalization and Mortality: Definitive Evidence from Meta-Analysis and Trial Sequential Analysis - PMC (nih.gov) maintains pulmonary functioning determines production of antimicrobial peptides (small proteins) enhances neutrophil activity 72% protection against admission to ICU and death combined shifts the adaptive immune response to more T helper cell-2 type (T helper cells promote all aspects of immunity) anti inflammatory effects reduces production of pro-inflammatory cytokines increases interleukins reduces risk of asthma exacerbations prevents acute respiratory infections and reduces their complications And this one: COVID-19 and vitamin D (Co-VIVID study): a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials - PMC (nih.gov) Conclusively, COVID-19 patients supplemented with vitamin D, fewer rates of ICU admission, mortality events, and RT-PCR positivity. I haven't seen that swamp hag, Tam, say this in a press conference even ONCE. You think she's gonna do it now? Of course not. But I bet she'll keep pushing the myocarditis jabs on children. BTW, 72% protection against ICU and death is more than the jabs EVER gave you.0 points

Using the loosest definition of "information", we know that not all of it is equal. It's therefore not only wise, but completely necessary to critically filter (limit) the information on which you draw. If the "information" you're consuming doesn't have enough of a basis in facts and reason, it can and should be promptly discarded as worthless (at best). This is how most people avoid being misinformed and ignorant. Your question is fascinating nonetheless, as it seems to suggest that I'm somehow closed-minded for discarding your retarded "sources". That you casually discard the collective weight of experts and news media spanning the entire globe is somehow lost on you - just another in a long list of ironic self-contradictions you can't seem to avoid. In answer to your question: Yes. I do think it's wise to limit the information I get out of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a fundamentalist dictatorship with strict media censorship and little/no concept of freedom. That you obviously disagree is a brilliant example of how you're filtering your information to support your flimsy worldview: Media in western democracies is all BAD, all LYING and all misinformed by the equally dishonest scientific/political/legal/mititary/historical experts that contribute to their reporting. Leaders and media from places like Iran, Syria and Russia, however, are reputable sources of information. Vladimir Putin and the Supreme Ayatollah are to be trusted and relied on. Yup yup.-1 points
