Looks like this group may have to do with a little less funding. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house-votes-rescind-billions-funding-irs-first-major-majority-action-mccarthy-speaker House votes to rescind billions in funding to the IRS in first major majority action with McCarthy as speaker The House of Representatives voted to rescind more than $70 billion in funding to the Internal Revenue Service on Monday night, fulfilling newly elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's promise to prevent the agency from hiring tens of thousands of new agents and conducting new audits on Americans. The bill — dubbed the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act and sponsored by Rep. Adrian Smith, R-Neb., and Rep. Michelle Steel, R-Calif. — passed the House of Representatives, 221-210. The legislation will roll back the billions of dollars of funding for the IRS approved in the Inflation Reduction Act last year but leaves in place funding for customer service and improvements to IT services. Looks like small businesses and the lowest income earners get a reprieve from the Unelected Joe Gestapo.2 points

That's kind of a click bait for Commies title for this thread. "Defund the IRS?" Where did anybody in that article say they wanted to "defund the IRS?" They're making it impossible for the Dems to hire 87,000 new agents which reason suggests the average guy would have been right to worry about in spite of Dem lies they only wanted to tax the rich. How is this "defunding the IRS?" Actually that was kind of a sloppy, questionable writing from Fox in general in their telling of tale. It would have been so easy just not to bury the lede. I have you just choose to remain stubborn.. just as you were when proven wrong about CRT only being taught in graduate law school. As I've already told you, I've sat in enough of those lectures to know they are just politically charged, racist in tone, divisive, grievance fests. If you disagree with anything in the curriculum, especially at the University level, they threaten you. Just a cesspool of racism and outrage2 points

This is what Florida's STOP WOKE ACT says. https://mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/2167/stop-w-o-k-e-act-florida Law prohibits teaching certain concepts related to race The prohibited teachings were that: Members of one race, color, national origin, or sex are morally superior to members of another race, color, national origin, or sex. A person by virtue of his or her race, color, national origin, or sex is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously. A person’s moral character or status as either privileged or oppressed is necessarily determined by his or her race, color, national origin, or sex. Members of one race, color, national origin, or sex cannot and should not attempt to treat others without respect to race, color, national origin, or sex. A person, by virtue of his or her race, color, national origin, or sex bears responsibility for, or should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment because of actions committed in the past by other members of the same race, color, national origin, or sex. A person, by virtue of his or her race, color, national origin, or sex should be discriminated against or received adverse treatment to achieve diversity, equity, or inclusion. A person, by virtue of his or her race, color, sex, or national origin, bears personal responsibility for and must feel guilt, anguish or other forms of psychological distress because of actions, in which the person played no part, committed in the past by other members of the same race, color, national origin, or sec. Such virtues as merit, excellence, hard work, fairness, neutrality, objectivity, and racial colorblindedness are racist or sexist, or were created by members of a particular race, color, national origin, or sex to oppress members of another race, color, national origin, or sex. This guy could have written that act:1 point

Good old BiDumb once said that the democratic party has created the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of America. Look it up on the internet, crackpot. Or are you just too liberal to be able to do that? Is it beneath your dignity to do so? I am of the opinion that in the last Canadian federal election fraud was committed. Everyone I spoke to all said that they did not like the Marxist dictator in Ottawa and yet somehow the Marxist got his old job back. This buffoon running this once great country is out to destroy this once great country and give us WEF Marxist globalism rather than freedom. ?1 point

This was the 1968 electoral college map little boy with the Republicans, Democrats and American Independence party. The FACTS are SOME the "dixiecrats" as you call them formed the American Independence Party. Others CHOSE to remain in the Democrat Party. These are the facts The FACTS are Republicans have NEVER supported Jim Crow no matter how much far left loonies suggest otherwise1 point

If one still votes for liberals socialists and demonrats and keep on listening to the liars in the MSM then those fools need to seek medical help now. The demonrats have proven hundreds of times over that they are nothing more than a bunch of Marxist liars. Bidumb being #1 at pushing lies and bull chit along with our own WEF Marxist dictator in Ottawa. And both of those two rats have two more years to go before the next elections. Oh, the joy of it all. It's nice to see that conservative Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is pretty much telling the dictator in Ottawa to take all of his WEF Marxist programs and agendas and shove them all up his butt hole. Why do we always end up with getting politicians in Ottawa who only want to raise more taxes, give us more government, and try and take away as much of our freedom as they can. We the peasants must stop acting like stupid zombies and start fighting back against those WEF liberal Marxist buffoons in Ottawa, like Premier Smith is doing in Alberta. Canada needs more rights and freedoms and not less. Works for me.1 point

Complex issue. I'm not religious but I would say MAID is overly broad in a creepy/scary way. You shouldn't be able to get assisted suicide for any medical condition or no condition. It's too dangerous a thing in the hands of government, especially when many conditions once deemed mental illnesses no longer are. Given psychology's ugly history, there is no reason to trust these matters will be handled correctly. Not to mention conflict of interest, it's cost savings to an already overburdened medical system. For terminal illness such as cancer with extreme suffering, and advanced dementia where there is no quality of life left only IMO. Which we sort of already had... doctors often did not hold back morphine.1 point

They claim there was a "switching of sides" specifically as Strom Thurmond opposed the Civil Rights bill. What they actually FAIL to acknowledge is that in many ways Strom Thurmond was before his time. He introduced several legislation in support of civil rights in the 1950s, and his business was one of the first to remove separate bathrooms in his store. Where the bogus "switched sides" argument came in and still remains to this day is that the Republican party became about preserving the Constitution and respected states rights whereas the Dummycrats wanted to centralize power.1 point

This is merely the Republicans working for their constituents - the large donors who fund them. They've been doing their best to slash and burn the IRS down so their big donors can get away with large-scale cheating for many years now. During a brief period where the Democrats controlled both houses and the administration much of that funding was increased. To the horror of the wealthy tax cheats who fund the Republicans. This 'cut' will, of course, never make it through the senate, and would be vetoed by Biden anyway. But it demonstrates that the Republican congress will be wasting its time and taxpayer money doing all kinds of political stuff of no substance. I do appreciate the irony of the name given to the bill, though. It's about as accurate as something out of North Korea. Family and small business taxpayer protection act? LOL. I guess "Billionaire and major corporation protection act" wouldn't sound as good.1 point

You're not talking about equality, you're whining and making things up. The whole CRT back-story is BS. If you insist on spewing your revisionist history nonsense instead of trying some self-improvement, that will yield predictable results. Tell me CrakHo, when was the last time you opened a book, or tried some form of self-improvement? Worked out, took a course, volunteered, did a little more than was expected of you... I can tell you right now, that's not your style. You aren't about effort, you're about victim status and whining. You feel like if you whine enough, people will be guilted into giving you what you want to shut you up. Your whining doesn't bug me, it's just sad.1 point

So Democrat propaganda outlets say so therefore true eh Though I do find these court cases interesting: "It references three court rulings: one by Wisconsin's Supreme Court, which ruled absentee ballot drop boxes during 2020’s COVID-19 lockdown measures were illegal, a ruling in Delaware in October that found mail-in-voting was unconstitutional, and a ruling by Pennsylvania's Supreme Court that the post wrongly claims struck down the expansion of unmanned mail-in-ballot drop boxes." TURNS OUT GUILIANI WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG. Will lefties apologize? The answer: not likely.1 point

But you have not explained what is wrong with the curriculum. You are making over-generalizations and falsehoods about it. But you can’t point to something it specifically teaches and explain what’s bad about it. You’re also conflating a complex legal framework with any curriculum taught about racism.1 point

There is no need to point to textbooks, you cretin. I provided RELIABLE AND ACCURATE SOURCES, proving this racist crap IS being taught in K-12 public schools in parts of the country. And I don't know why you would want anyone to post an actual public school textbook, since it's fairly obvious you never actually opened one.1 point

@West and @WestCanMan So here we are, arguing with a robo-bot and a crack-ho, about the Jan. 6th 2021 Trump rally. Why is it so important that we believe their assertion that the protesters were "insurrectionists" and that Trump told them to do what they did? And the answer is obvious. This "Big Lie"...to borrow their phrase...must be believed at all cost because, they're using it to run a fear campaign. 'If you don't believe what we tell you to believe, we'll put you in jail.' See guys...Trump must never hold office again, as far as Libbies are concerned. So anyone who refuses to accept this "Big Lie", must be rooted out and destroyed. The populous must be scared to cast any ballots for Trump...ever. in other words, they're all scared shitless of the guy...and they're scared shitless of what the new republican congress is gonna do. But gentlemen...what's even more comical, is that these fine Libbies aren't even aware of the underlying and much more important issue...Globalization. Not just of commerce, but of thought. A central power, bent on destruction and ultimate power, must control the very reality people perceive. Free thought and expression must be corralled and stamped out. In essence...they need to break the minds of the populous. But too many of us see 4 fingers instead of the 3 they're insisting we see. We cling to reality, no matter what they tell us repeatedly. That infuriates them. Could we be witnessing the end of the individual and of freedom? Perhaps. But as the age of Aquarius begins, my children...and my grandchildren...Will be taught to trust their senses...over the warped reality being foist upon them. Gawd save the free and help them see the light.1 point

Leftists' only chance to stay in the game is to shout down the truth, or drown it in their own bogus allegations. The entire Russian collusion farce was just a distraction from Hillary's crimes regarding her email scandal and destruction of subpoenaed evidence. Trump joked: "Hey Russia, maybe if you're listening, try to find the 33,000 missing emails" and the Dems and FBI just started committing crimes as fast as they could to drown out Hillary's crime with a show trial.1 point

Although Canada is a highly vaccinated country, do you think the 4+ shot group is the largest? I suspect not. But they are the largest hospitalized and deaths group. First we needed 60% jabbed for herd immunity. Then 70%, then 80%, then 90%. If 90% won't do it, now what? And if the jabs aren't preventing hospitalization and death, what good are they? These are global questions that anybody who can think critically is asking. Well, everybody is asking, except the CDC.1 point

I’m not a large Trump fan but the media pant pissing the past couple years has provided tremendous entertainment. The sheer media terror wants me to see Trump back stating “fake news”, which has proven he was right. I never want media calling or influencing the show. Left wing “flight-of-fancy” media in charge of anything is terrifying. I can vote against candidates but not against nipple sucking leftist funded media.1 point

The good thing about technology is that everyone now has access to full video clips if they so choose. They don't have to filter their views through antiquated media such as the nightly news. Yet still many are too lazy to do so and prefer the prefiltered, politically slanted news they'll get at 6pm.. It's really quite fascinating to watch universities take over as the religion of the left wing. In a sense, it's the same type of hierarchy as the catholic church where you cannot even think of challenging the priests or you won't get your reward.. interesting to observe human behavior among lefties who feel as if they are highly educated and one of the "chosen" but are really just blind1 point
