Plea deals are admissions of guilt. People under duress take them because of fear of financial ruin and other legal consequences. The US justice system has used them against economically fragile people for decades, including people of colour. Refusing a plea deal to take a riskier position on principle is very admirable. You have ZERO PROOF that Hunter's laptop was not tampered with. An EXPERT can do things to that are undetectable. In addition, making the laptop contents public was ILLEGAL according the Delaware law so any evidence on it is fruit of a poisonous tree and not admissible in court. What’s often missed is the sensible middle ground. Kids do need to learn about reproductive cycles, including ovulation and menstruation. Parents have a right to question and take issue with teachings that don’t agree with their morality.
