What shit? That I'm not as capable as you claim to be at discerning it from Shinola on CBC / CTV / CNN / Fox etc etc etc? Where did I fling that exactly? What I'm flinging in your face is your inability to discern the shit from the Shinola that's sloshing around your own head never mind what you think you or I see on tv.2 points

Trudeau was in over his head from Day 1. The really sad thing is that he was re-elected after it became apparent he wasn't much more than sparkle socks and a coiffure. That's a reflection on how shallow and lazy the Canadian voter is.2 points
-
Is Trudeau more interested in photo ops than dealing with the real problems facing Canadians? Yes, always has been from the very beginning. The only difference between the beginning and now is that he does not have hos Wife standing by his side.2 points

What fakery are you talking about with regards to Pride Day and Canada Day precisely? Without an answer your post is simply an example of putting your mouth in gear before engaging your mind. The only fakery going on here is that you're thinking. Take the threat title...Do you feel like everything that you see is legitimate or fake as the case may be. The more critical question you should be asking, before putting your mouth in gear, is do you actually know that everything you see is fake? If yes you should be able to point out exactly where and what it is to others.2 points
-
What exactly was faked? You're not making any sense whatsoever. It's strictly your own mind that seems to be muddling your thinking here. You're not even trying to tell up from down.2 points

A two-year "deal" covers up to five turbines for Russia's Nord Stream pipeline in ostensible violation of sanctions. Yes people here have different positions about the country's stance in the war. But once you made your decision, and position public shouldn't you follow the principle? OK one more time: here's Russia. Russia owned by Putin and his clique recently started a brutal invasion of an independent democratic country of Ukraine. Here's Germany. Germany buys a lot of gas and other stuff from Russia despite its brutal war and previous wars because... but OK. Here's a German company, Siemens. It wants to service Russian turbines for Russia (and Germany) and make some buck out of it (despite the war, OK). And here's Canada. It declared a shiny and staunchly uncompromised support and condemnation blah. And it declared sanctions. And now it wants to circumvent its own sanctions servicing Russian turbines by German company in Canada. Why in Canada? Does it make sense already? Or should you follow your declared commitments and principles? Apparently not. And this is so typical of the Liberals, used to blowing steam out of all orifices at once that only those still spared the extreme boredom of the politics in this country remembered to yawn. Nobody else noticed, usual normal background. Words fly one way walk on the ground the opposite. "Canadian jobs" you see. As confirmed by a public czar just having an expensive dinner with a top private executive. No public record sorry. Yes, out of your pocket how else. What? Some wise secret Allied deal the wise bureaucrats know about but you can't? After SNC-Lavalin? You sure? And this by the way why Canada isn't getting that coveted seat on the Council. Everybody knows by now the real worth of the great Canadian talk. Even the laziest of this world by now, know.1 point

I get the feeling he is more interested in photo ops and glad handing with children than dealing with the crisis facing many Canadians in the airports, passport offices, health care, high inflation, housing crisis, rental crisis, etc. Quote Why is Justin Trudeau appearing at random? I think the answer is quite obvious. Trudeau prefers his comfort zone of glad-handing and photo ops to dealing with the growing inability of the federal government to deliver on its basic accountabilities. The immense grief inflicted on Canadians is growing by the day. Everywhere you look, Canada is a mess, from borders to airports to passports to inflation. “You’ll forgive me if I don’t think about monetary policy,” he said. Mr. Prime Minister, Canadians don’t forgive you, as we are all paying the price of your lack of interest (pun intended). Unquote The first article is about the issue of private health care versus public and the following article is about Trudeau's photo-ops and glad handing interests versus dealing with the critical issues effecting Canadians. the Russians are just a giant version of Canada but all that mass at the tactical level still doesn't move the ball at the strategic level the Russians are an artillery army with a lot of tanks they are an outdated 1980's Soviet style conscript force they are literally forty years behind the times the Russians fighting NATO would be like a 1940's military trying to fight a 1980's military1 point

Good point. Lying by omission is a real thing, and it's especially bad when it's done by the news media, but it's a mainstay. The MSM completely missing out on Trudeau's hatemongering about the unvaxed was a perfect example of "not telling lies or false narratives" but still showing a massive amount of bias by completely ignoring a major issue. That's a great example of both stations having completely different stories about the same story. The way I see it, Fox did a good job of covering the main story and it's back-story, and touching on the side-stories, like for example the attempt on a SCJ's life. CNN gave the main headline and then went right to Joe Biden's opinion (which was rife with disinformation), the readers of that article have no context and are completely unaware of the main fallout from the decision. I honestly can't watch CNN, my gag reflex is too strong. IMO you can't do justice to a story while neglecting to mention the attempted murder of a SCJ or the fact that an FBI lawyer was charged with a felony.1 point
-
This is amusing. You are correct. "News" does not have a bias. Which "news" is delivered and how its delivered...THAT does exhibit bias. For instance...Recently the SCOTUS made a ruling on the validity of the federal government proclaiming abortion to be legal (Roe V Wade) and shot it down, making the states the arbiters of this issue. Yet here's how both CNN and FOX reported on it. https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/24/politics/dobbs-mississippi-supreme-court-abortion-roe-wade/index.html https://www.foxnews.com/politics/supreme-court-overturns-roe-v-wade-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health-organization Note that both report the "news", but each report the "news" with differing information. Information they chose to use because of their...BIAS!1 point

Every single story in which a politician gives a measly mouthed evasive answer. There are too many to list. So I'll stick with the specific example I provided yzermandious in the mass shooting thread on gun control and safety - Every single story that reported on the intent of the Transparency and Accountability Act, to keep us safe from influence peddling, is misinformation because it lacks integrity as evidenced by the measly mouthed answers politicians provide to lame assed questions on the topic.1 point

You say that you question these news sources but I've never seen you stray from the script at all. You rabidly defend every CTV propaganda piece that comes out, and when it's proven to be BS you never own it. You're still clinging to vax efficacy and supporting their campaign to force everyone to take the Pflacebo. There's not a shred of real world data that shows we need to pseudovax children or healthy young adults. There's very real proof that it's harmful to those people. Yet you choose to ignore the evidence and go along with the campaign. You're like that on every story that comes out eyeball. I asked you if you can name a specific time that you felt like you were being lied to or misled and you answered in general terms about what a critical thinker you are lol. Stop thinking in terms of "They gave me all the accurate information and I'm coming to the same conclusions as they're telling me to." Think in terms of "Theses people will only tell me part of the story because they always have an agenda." Ask yourself things like "Is it really no big deal that a lot of healthy young women stopped having their period? Why are so many young people having strokes now? Is it really no big deal that thousands of young healthy men who weren't at any risk from covid got myocarditis? (Do you even know how serious myocarditis is, or what the long-term prognosis is?)" Ask yourself why CTV and CBC, who spend so much time looking for covid-related stories to talk about, NEVER talk about side-effects or the number of "fully-protected" people who apparently weren't protected at all. Do you ever ask yourself those questions, eyeball? Do ya? The answer's no, because if you did then you wouldn't be such a rabid vax-Nazi. I'm not a leftist, so I don't call people names just because it fits my narrative. I call people liars when they're lying AND I can provide proof of it, which I do. That's all you have is hooey, eyeball. You live and breathe it. You were asked to talk about a time when you felt like the MSM was being dishonest and you just said that you're a critical thinker. FYI that's not an answer to that question, it's hooey. How about saying something like "I'm a critical thinker but they're always 100% right" or "I'm a critical thinker and I wasn't happy about the fact that when they covered the _______ story they seemed to skip a lot of important details and pushed a false narrative." Take a stand. Be a man. Have an actual opinion where you say something specific and meaningful instead of speaking in general terms about how awesome you are and how inferior other people are. FYI anyone can say "I'm awesome and you suck", but you've never been in a position to back that statement up. You can just repeat it, ad nauseam, while looking stupid.1 point

That's a typical response from the left. Meanwhile, the left has the cult of climate, and more recently the cult of sex change. No one is as obsessed with sex as the left, which they try to hide by accusing their enemy(the right) of obsession... And since the media is by and large left of center, the fact that they inject their biases and cultish beliefs into their stories should come as no surprise. The decades of leftwing MSM brainwashing of the public has greatly reduced freedom in Canada. I may one day get arrested or have my bank accounts frozen for posts such as this. Digital currency, our Federal government wants to bring it in.1 point

We don’t really have superpacs in Canada and I agree that Harper set important policies for transparency. With regard to multinational corporations, the big threat now is their marriage with governments and world bodies as so-called activists for a better world. We would never have the government police itself, yet that’s what’s going on with corporations under stakeholder capitalism. Though we know that these companies are trying to make big money for shareholders, often at the expense of workers, they can use talk of the environment and anti-black racism as cover. It’s an old idea, a kind of bread and circuses virtue performance. In the process government gets to look like it’s part of the progressive party while letting these corporations take over because they recycle or have rainbow flags behind their logos.1 point
-
1. 2. Ok. That's clear. Others have also expressed concerns about multinationals' increasing power. But what specifically does this idea manifest as with regards to policy ? And how would you ever get there given the incredible power corporations have today ? 3. The WEFs of the worlds have far less influence than the SuperPACs that elect candidates. Furthermore, getting rid of WEF will not eliminate their ideas. They also are pretty clear about their goals. And how would you set a rule to limit the involvement of WEFs but not other groups ? If you want to outlaw one group then another one will step in to the patronage void. I suggest you make political contributions and expenses 100% transparent and also limited. That allows governments to help sectors and businesses as long as they help people who elect them. Harper's government did this very thing years ago.1 point

but you're just blowing your dog-whistle again. If you ever come up with a reasonable explanation for how/why millions of politicians, climate scientists, techies, professors, MD's, journalists, bureaucrats, ordinary citizens, lawyers, judges, police etc from all parts of the world and all walks of life are all working together to take away your freedom, let us know.1 point

That's the best part of this whole deception though. The "underprivileged" Trumpies are just picking a different poison. Republican (and those similar to them) rarely/never help their poor/uneducated base, but they DO channel their anger against wokeism, immigration and green stuff. Meanwhile, they and their pals continue to get richer with lax regulation and tax breaks and don't generate the jobs they promise. You're exchanging the woke elite and their virtue-signaling for the old-school DOW Jones fat cats. Neither give a shit about the "underprivileged".1 point

I agree with most of what you say. It makes sense and is logical. Like you, I am very aware and like you, I am concerned. I also agree that some of the earth heating (or maybe a lot of it) is a cyclical earth event. Trying to put blame one specific thing prevents or hinders us from correcting the whole problem.1 point
-
With all due respect. I know a lot about this issue, have read studies, drank the Kool Aid years ago, etc. While there are good reasons for concern about certain environmental changes that may or may not be substantially driven by human impacts — dying off of coral, loss of species (Sixth Extinction), rising sea levels due to thawing land ice cover — it’s hard to parse out how much of this change is due to natural cycles such as sunspot activity, orbital distance, volcanic activity, etc. Acidity can kill underwater life, which is not necessarily climate change related. There have been areas of the earth that have turned to desert and areas that have become flooded for millennia. There is a high level of CO2 in the atmosphere relative to the rest of human history, but that CO2 is already there. We can try to absorb it through massive tree-planting. We can try to reflect heat back to space through whitewashing of civilization. We can integrate green power into how we build. What we must not do is make the energy that we need to manufacture goods, heat homes, and commute unaffordable to consumers. Carbon taxes are a blow to living standards and the poor. The fastest way to reducing climate change is reducing poverty and raising education levels. That will naturally reduce population. “Climate crisis” driven schemes that raise the cost of living and make energy less accessible are far more damaging to humanity than the impact of human made climate change, which we can only tackle over decades and centuries, not that we fully understand the extent of our human impact on climate change. I should add that I have been an environmental activist and investor in green power.1 point
-
1. I stopped after that. Once again for those hard of reading: 1. CO2 creates a greenhouse effect, which you can reproduce in a lab and which has occurred in the Earth's atmosphere in the past. 2. We are producing CO2 at an increasing amount, which correlates to our temperature increases. 3. There's no other explanation for the temperature increase that stands up to scrutiny.1 point

Then what is your reasons for believing that there is afterlife? The only possible evidence of afterlife is testimonies by those near death experiences other than that there is absolutely no evidence.1 point

-
I myself believe that there is some sort of existence after death. I have never seen a ghost. But on a few occasions I have experienced unexplainable things. I have also seen and heard plenty of evidence on shows like "Ghost Adventures." Here is another point to the contrary. It concerns those who have died and came back to life. Some of them have claimed to have gotten a glimpse of the afterlife. For those who believe in the afterlife on those grounds, they are fooling themselves. You cant know what it is like to be dead until you're all the way dead. Also, I was watching on some program that according to medicine, at least in some cases, brain activity actually increases when you are close to death. That could very well explain the experiences some people claimed to have had when close to death.1 point

Did you figure out what was wrong with this yet? Is CBC a "corporation" or is it the propaganda arm of a big government party? We always call the MSM lackeys "leftists" because the theory goes that the the parties that they shill for are liberal at heart. The Dems and Libs are "big government" types, yesirree, which also lends the impression that they care for the people whom they refer to as peons, but they're really just into division, which helps create a class system. I think they know that they're not doing black kids a favour when they stand up for their "right" to argue with & assault cops. No one would tell their own kid to do that, why do they act like black kids should be doing it? The "leftists" have a big welfare arm to keep people dependent and poor, they want unchecked immigration because they want cheap nannies and migrant workers, they really don't want to help out poor people at all. They want more of them. Do you think that CNN is really there for the little guys, with Anderson "Vanderbilt fortune" Cooper and the poor humble Cuomo boy, whose father and brother were mere governors of NY State? "Can you find it in your heart, good sir, to give a poor little Cuomo boy a nickel for some bread?" They're big biz all the way. Everything that they do divides people into groups of humans who are theoretically "entirely different from each other and can't find common ground!!!" but it's just their shtick. They hate democracy, love a peasant class, and that's why they roll around in private jets and mega yachts while making energy too expensive for the poor. Morneau's family can afford gas at $100/litre. So can Trudeau's. Biden's. Pelosi's. Schumer's. Schiff's. "Fuck you peon, you can't afford it at $3/ltr." - liberals/dems.1 point
-
We know that more CO2 in the atmosphere raises temperatures. You can reproduce this effect in the lab. It's called the greenhouse effect. Then you look at how much CO2 we are putting into the atmosphere, and realize that correlates with a rising temperature. It's a pretty open and shut case.1 point

Nope, not at all but, I have difficulty with all news sources that is why listening, hearing and reading multiple is required. Having said that, there are clearly very partisan news groups/organizations/websites/forums etc that should be avoided. I mean, Fox is clearly right, CNN while it tries to be middle leans left. PBS seems to straddle the line and in my opinion is quite believable. I also read and listen and watch BBC with respect. CBS and ABC seem to be impartial. CBC flops to whomever is in power but it relies on government funding so, what can you expect. Of course, the most preferred news is the ones that suits your narrative1 point

They like to say things like "Portugal hit a record temperature of 117 degrees today" when the actual, honest truth is something like "a spot in Portugal hit 117 degrees, beating that place's old record of 116.4 degrees." They basically use all the poetic license in the world to make their programming as misleading as possible, while technically not telling any actual lies.1 point

Also banks are very aware that money laundering is very easy via charities like this. It plays this way: I have a bunch of $$$ that I need laundered but fast. I contact someone on the inside who holds the codes to the GoFundMe account and say - if I donate $100K, you cash it out and keep $10K for yourself and give $90K back to me.
