  1. Yes? There are 36,300 of them here. Nice platitude bro. Poilievre is an intelligent, seasoned politician with a solid understanding of our democracy.

  2. Lol Pierre is just a con artist like Trump he can sound good but in reality will do nothing for the country and leave office as one of the most disliked PM's in history

  3. 1. So I went to his web (https://www.pierre4pm.ca/) Good idea. Hmmm...liking it...liking it... A real politician...who has a rather nationalistic agenda...and doesn't get banned from Twitter. Interesting eh?

  4. There's nothing wrong with the video, it just lacks the divisiveness that leftists crave in a political message. "These guys are really bad. They secretly do things that hurt you. Their police actually make your communities less safe, and we know that we don't need them." It also references hard work, which is considered a white privilege topic from a leftist POV. I can see why the leftists are triggered.

  5. Do you still pretend to be a conservative or have you finally just come clean MH?

  6. I liked the video. The question I wrestle with is, does this guy mean what he says, or will he waffle in the end? But I already know what Pixie-Dust will do so...

  7. I'm not voting Trudeau. I expect you will scrawl "Trump" on your ballot...

  8. OMG he's a great actor. This is conservative virtue signalling and Trudeau style politics at its best: empty of ideas, all slogans and "feelings", slick advertising and nothing specific proposed. He's going to be bringing the freedom... Right. By the way the Canadian Taxpayer paid for 100% of his little renovation.

  9. All three of Trumps selection agreed to do as they are told if Trump would select them, like literally every person Trump has ever selected for anything in his whole lifetime.. Bypassing their decisions anyway possible, as Biden is doing with his Executive order on abortion rights, is the only answer. We have to decide how to fix the court before we arbitrarily respect the court again. One way is to impeach. There is an obvious person that needs impeachment in the supreme court. The next step would to increase the size of the supreme court to take away the power of this hate Nazi court. Then set that number as the only number in the future that is acceptable. I don't care if the right can attempt to change it in the future, they would anyway. Just make it as hard as possible on them now and the near future. And yes, this is my opinion!

  11. 1. How very easy it will be for a smart WestCanMan like YOU to post an example ! 2. And he makes a GREAT commercial. You are a dupe if you fall for politicians as heroes. This is the problem with image politics such as Trudeau, which you seem to despise. Have some discipline and ask deeper questions, rather than looking at axe marks on a cottage.

  12. indeed, Nixon sets the wheels in motion but Quantitative Easing since the Dot Com is what has brought things to this massive unprecedented level again, when Paul Volcker raised interest rates, the debts were still manageable now we are at leverage which nobody in the 70's would have thought was possible to get away with

  13. well Canada is a fundamentally counterrevolutionary cuture in the face of the Americans, the most counterrevolutionary culture on earth so I don't expect the masses to rise up and overthrow the British Crown in North America but I do expect more trucker style protests on a much larger scale Canadians are not going to burn the place down, but I would expect things to get as rowdy as Canada gets like Winnipeg General Strike level of SHTF

  14. That sounds exactly what Justin did... "absolutely nothing" "The worst World leader ever", yes he won the gold medal for being an ass clown while in office...wait he had some help let's not forget the NDP flunkies that made all this happen. and even then accomplished nothing of any real value...And you clowns find that funny. What a colossal waste of time his entire tenure as PM has been...You have blindly followed this jackass, just like trumps voters did for him...And while trying to hide your embarrassment for being a leftist, you start looking for distractions to point fingers at, cause that is how you roll. Canada is done with the left and is ready to move on, and personally, I don't give a rats ass if that's the fat ladies toy poodle from down the street, as long as Justin goes down in flames.

  15. Canada has the Dutch disease when the oil & gas market gets hot, that causes the dollar to rise against the USD, killing exports in Ontario so Canada cannot oil & gas its way out of a recession what we are actually facing is stagflation rising oil & gas prices in a recession back to the Seventies, maan that's basically where we are at back to the Seventies, except on steroids same problem, orders of magnitude larger scale and the Seventies caused the worst recession since the Great Depression in 1981 so we are in uncharted territory, the scale is actually larger than what caused the Great Depression

  16. in terms of the Conservatives supposed sympathy for the truckers ? that's only because the truckers were the Liberal's problem we've seen how the Conservatives treat protests from the G7 in Toronto in 2010 so If the truckers went against the Harpercons ? the difference would be that the Harpercons would have nipped it in the bud right away they wouldn't have waited for weeks to send the Mounties in, they would have done that within hours

  17. 1. Now ? 2. Please provide an example of me "apologizing" for Trudeau 3. Yes, I agree. Electing a male model from a Home Depot ad is no better than a hair model btw 4. Hyperbole. You forgot to add "Marxist". And it's not apologizing when you throw baseless words around... I only ask for some real criticism. 5. Yes, those are good reasons why I did not vote for him. 6. Yes but those are SCANDALS. You didn't discuss policy except for the veiled "pharma" jab... no leader would have avoided vaccines so ... why not try for something else ? You kind of stumbled there. What about "Pierre" (LOL) and his new university thought police. Do you like that idea ?

  18. in fact, Doug Ford has even gone Woke now it's the Conservatives are who passing these new Woke standards for public schools they are the same as the Liberals they have no ideology other than gaining power & prerogatives for themselves

  19. Ooooh, MH is interested in policy now, hey? How is a Trudeau apologist talking to conservatives about a "need for substance"? Remember this: Bang-on. How about "not being a fascist"? Is that a good enough policy for you? How about "not using a charity scam to enrich your family, or selling our gov't out to a criminal entity like SNC"? How about "working for Canadians, not big pharma"? Are those good enough for you?
    1 point
  20. Or talk about actual policy maybe. But then again with voters like you voting, who needs substance?

  24. everybody is in debt to the future the debt is on the central bank balance sheets that debt is future prosperity dragged back into the now to live beyond our means in real time now we are arriving in the future which we have already borrowed from

  25. 1. But he is able to connect, for sure, and work on the general dissatisfaction that we're all feeling. 2. Ugh. Jagmeet isn't saying much of substance either. 3. So far it's minority government territory.

  26. yeah, that's the only thing that pays in a secular bear market / depression and that will save Canada from going bankrupt basically we are in a massive tech bubble when that bubble pops, everything will shift back to commodities oil, gas, gold, crops, livestock so Canada won't default Canada survived the Great Depression and it will survive this next depression as well none the less, it will completely reorder politics in Canada, the culture itself will be altered in the process

  27. Vapid and empty-headed TV commercial of a career politician in a lumber shirt. And a still camera of him sitting in a pile of boards. Your 'conservatism' is a sad postcard of a scam-man in a fake beaver pelt - enjoy it.

  28. 1. The PM salary and MP salary is public record. You could look it up. 2. Who cares ? They all get paid by you and me. Trudeau is a bit of a rich kid though...

  29. Haha, then there’s only one thing a ‘conservative’ like yourself can do, right? Vote for Trudeau. You’re so transparent.

  33. 1. We most definitely are, but this is due to information bubbles. An open system can still support common falsehoods. 2. A good example is the big lie: people somehow believe that the Georgia votes somehow stole the presidential election, despite Trump being caught on tape begging for 11,000 votes.

  36. Yeah, I'm fine with the video. Pretty dead-on description of real conservatism if you ask me. Not sure what August's point is. I guess you'd have to read the book.

  38. Pierre Poilievre has been asked what he would do (if elected PM) on many contentious issues. Pipelines,oil/gas resource management. Carbon taxation. Abortion. Housing affordability. Bank of Canada issues. Gun control. De-funding CBC. (smiles) Etc., etc. . . . . PP has been video'd while these questions (and many more) were asked. His answers are there for all to see. Trudeau and his penguins will have a tough time stealing any of PP/Conservative platforms.

  39. Because Alberta's opiod problems are the same as those in other areas of Canada. No more, no less. Odd or coincidentally though, that since the "safe injection" sites have been popping up all over Canada, so has the opiod deaths. Was making it easy and "safe" really a wise thing? Trump and Kenny and whomever you wish to name have nothing to do with drug addiction and usage.

  40. What Trump did was no different than every other president, democrat or republican, that had a pick to make for Scotus. The difference was he had 3 picks, since Ginsburg didn’t retire under Obama which would have been the safe thing to do. Stupidly, she wanted to retire during Hilary’s first term, which never happened. She made that decision at 82 or so, long past the age that she should have. That’s not Trump’s fault. I would also point out that the thread title makes a silly assumption. “…the president demands that the justices be controlled by him and a party…” It’s actually impossible for Trump, or any other president to make such a demand. Many past Justices, including Roberts(whenever it suits his fancy), have switched sides after getting on the bench. It’s actually a long held tradition, a contest for “sleeper” justices to appear one way in their career in hopes of getting a high court in which they can surprise the other side of the aisle with liberal or conservative philosophy. Edit: And no, I’m not saying it’s commonplace. It takes a devious mind on a level that puts its agenda ahead of ethics or anything else.

  41. Remember when the emoticons came in? The right moaned about how the left would gang up on the right and dislike all their posts. Turned out the opposite, and I never saw a leftie complain about that. Still, there was enough moaning that the "dislike" emoticons were removed. I once data-mined over a two week period, and in that two weeks, the right offered more insults then the left by a slight margin. I would assume in another two-week period it'd be the opposite. However, if you take a look at just the forum topics, there's a lot more insults to the left than the right. As for complaints, If say both the right and left complain - else the left would never complain that the forum moderation was biased right, which someone does from time to time.

  45. There's lots of thngs he's done I don't like . But if you think I am gonna vote for a slimeball Pierre over Trudeau you are insane he has more baggage then even Trudeau lol. Give me a moderate con leader not a guy who's gonna play to pp supporters or the Maga Canadian group. There's a reason I voted NDP instead of liberal in 2019 O'Toole didn't scare me. I couldn't of cared less if he won a minority over Trudeau cause didn't see him as that bad. However Pierre is a different story if he's leader I 100 percent voting for liberal

  46. The dumbocrats are always looking for ways to try and cheat at election time. They lack an honest backbone. Obviously, you must really believe that the dumbocrats were gods greatest gift to mankind, eh? Only stupid nitwits will believe that bull chit. Now I wonder who they might be? Just saying. Nope, just smart pills. Your reply says to me that you must be the one taking the stupid pills every morning when you wake up. Do you take them with coffee or booze? Just asking. ?

  47. I know exactly what you mean when you say "underlying data". You're looking for the part that says "but, but but....." There's a reason why covid and vaccines aren't big news right now, it's because the data doesn't flatter the vaccines. Soon there will be a big splash and the announcement of a shinier vax and all the sycophants will rejoice as they roll up their sleeves for some more $80,000/L water. Statista got their stats from: https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/epidemiological-summary-covid-19-cases.html You can sniff around there to find the reasons why 3xers are dying at basically the same rate as everyone else. Look in the "But, but, but...." section.
