In Canada 80% of the deaths between March 27 and April 10 were from vaxed people. Over 50% were from 3xers. When you take into consideration that 1) there are significant known side-effects from the vaxes and 2) we still don't know if there are any longer-term side effects, the drugs' ineffectiveness is making it a complete farce as a mandatory injection. The real debate now needs to be about whether or not it's even worthwhile for the government to keep on paying for it. We've sunk tens of billions of dollars into it and we're getting bupkis.3 points

Personally, I think the wives, daughters and mistresses of rich men will still be able to access safe abortions whether they are legal or not.2 points

Maybe if they had maternity leave and universal healthcare and assistance for single moms they wouldn't have to fight for forced pregnancy and birth?2 points

Definite possibility. According to the transfer payments section of the 2020-2021 Public Accounts of Canada, the WEF received $2,291,095 from Canadian taxpayers in the form of grants and contributions. Funding came from 2 departments - Department of Environment and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development.2 points

I believe what’s happening in the US is a new understanding of how precious life is. This nonsense that Elizabeth Warren quotes, saying 68% of Americans wanting abortions to stay legal is wildly inaccurate propaganda. And women have the same right to control their bodies as men. But, the baby in the womb is not their body. They are starting to realize this. Over 60 million abortions have occurred in the US since 1972. It’s been a curse on that country, but hopefully the curse will be lifted soon.2 points

Coyne is pretty respected as a Conservative commentator, unlike the YouTube street corner prophets of late. Conservatives used to be known for pragmatism and listening to their elders. This Bitcoin nerd Poilievre seems unsound.2 points

Dude, people weren't harassed at all and neither were businesses. Those are all lies by our msm that were debunked. The only interruption to local businesses was at the discretion of the local and federal government. We've heard all the nonsense from CBC, CTV etc about all the awful activity at the Freedom Convoy protests and how peaceful the BLM protests were, we're just not buying it. You can say it 'til the cows come home but I'm not going full-retard with you. Pretty much every minute of the Freedom Convoy was surrunded by our MSM, desperate to catch them on something.... Do you have any evidence of the illegal activity, or is it just your own esteemed opinion? Do you have a cite with some video evidence? The story about the flaming dogshit, PLANTED BY SOME VILE TRUCKERS!, in the apartment building was a bust, there's not much other video evidence that I'm aware of. Your post sucked blackbird. It was really atrocious and repugnant based on the level of accusations and the complete lack of evidence.2 points

What is life? What is a living thing? Is life defined by the soul inside? What happens when we die? Do we have souls? Are we both body and soul or just body? If we do have soul then where is it and what happens to it after we die. I don't want religious mambo jumbo like what this religious book or that religious book says. I want your opinion as an intelligence being without what may have been said thousand or thousands years ago. Any thought or related experiences please share. I don't know the answers. I believe there is a good chance we do have souls. They are in our brains or hearts. They enter the fetus before birth and leave our body after death. They reincarnate in different bodies maybe within families. Those with good deeds will be rewarded a rebirth in a good family in a good region of the world. And those with evil deeds will be reborn in poverty or difficult regions . I don't know all these for sure but this is the closest to reality in my view.1 point

BREAKING: The Supreme Court in India just banned forced vaccines, stating it violates section 21 of their constitution that protects individuals’ bodily integrity and personal autonomy. Your hatred of women. We all know that Republicans of all people don’t give a shit about life. US has some of the worst infant mortality rates and the worst rates of women dying during childbirth and lack of access to healthcare and medically necessary abortions is one major reason and Republicans couldn’t give a shit. They don’t even want to allow abortions in cases where the mothers life is at risk.1 point

When a candidate says something that stupid, it doesn't really matter who calls him out. Electing a moron as leader is not a winning strategy for the Conservative party. I am sure Mr. Poilievre is a nice guy and he certainly has a reputation for integrity, but he has shown a pattern of lapses in judgement. The attacks on the Bank of Canada is by far the most serious. A Poilievre victory in the leadership campaign is not scary, just disappointing. It means we will have a leader incapable of defeating the Liberals for the next 7 years. Prime Minister Trudeau can relax and enjoy the office, while he keeps the seat warm for Xavier who will be in his twenties.1 point

I think people will pay for this - it's definitely crimes against humanity. Trudeau will throw the Public Health officers under the bus and blame them. And they should be blamed - at the beginning, lockdowns and restrictions were understandable. But they all had time to read the Pfizer trials. They chose not to - didn't even demand the information, and instead got drunk on power and continued the nonsense for 2 and half long years and counting.... Pfizer fraud about the vaccine is coming out more and more, people's immune systems are being destroyed, lives and businesses have been ruined, 40% increase in death for working age people, families and other relationships torn apart by the fraud......and zero change in world population from a supposed "pandemic", in fact increases in the usual yearly amount. The biggest wealth transfer in human history. The lions have been awake for awhile. Let the sheep continue to slumber while they get their 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th.....jabs. if they last that long. The scientists and doctors who have been right all along, but silenced - predict vast swathes of vaccinated deaths in the next 2 years, not from covid, but from a myriad of other illnesses due to lack of immune system. Was it planned? I don't know. But I think it will all come out soon.1 point

Just scanning this thread and I have a couple of questions. First, why are the progagandists from the left so interested in a Conservative leadership campaign? They seem to like Charest so there's another reason to vote against him. They hate, double-hate, Poilievre so if you're an actual Conservative Pierre has to be your guy. Second and this is more a question on all the candidates. Why aren't any of them supporting a ban of media bailouts? They should be. Why aren't they? It's understandable that the media is being so quiet about it though. Oh and an observation from reading the last 2 pages. That business of thinking they've found Pierre's kryptonite by attacking his support of crypto and willingness to fire the Bank of Canada head seems to have come out of the last debate. They all piled on about that one and Canada's liberal paid media is salivating and joining the attack. I think they're wasting their bullets. The average guy isn't scared of that.1 point

I didn't notice President Biden or President Trump in the debate last night. I'm not sure why they are in this topic. Neither are Conservative. Conservative values can be summed up in three words: God, Queen and Country. The grits are more stream lined: Money, Money Money.1 point

Yes, but Trudeau, who owns shares in Acuitas, the Canadian company who created the lipid nanoparticles that go into the vaccines (you all really need to look up what those really do to your body) is making millions......so there's that. ? Congratz on being the only sensible leftist. They don't just have "a position", as in "we disagree with that", they have a publicly stated goal of changing a law, and that's way beyond the pale. They're throwing their corporate might directly against Florida's democratically-arrived-at law and as a result their power and influence as a corporation are being curtailed. Disney is threatening to wage a political campaign for the sexual education of small children... They didn't get the status that they had because they were trying to create laws and lord over the sexual orientation on 5 yr olds, they got it because they were a world-leader in childhood entertainment and one of the greatest American institutions of the last half of the 20th century. They've abandoned what made them great and became political activists. They lost their special status. They won't continue to get tax breaks and special exemptions just so that they can operate as an oligarch. I'd argue that Florida's democracy is more important than a minor hit to their economy, but will their economy even suffer? It seams like they just generated a massive income stream that they never had before and I don't think that what DeSantis did will slow traffic to Disney. The damage done to Disney's brand occurred when they opened their mouths and interfered with the parent-child relationships of every Floridian. Universal studios is also in Orlando, I've been there myself - it's pretty cool. Florida's beached aren't going anywhere. Florida, now more than ever, is seen as a place of freedom and American values. Florida is flourishing under DeSantis. If you want to worry about an entire state, worry about California.1 point

Wrong. The world of Charest, Coyne, etc. is gone. Don’t be naive. We’re struggling to protect living standards and Constitutional rights. The forces undermining our way of life are mostly international. They involve radical restrictions on human behaviour to fight climate change and the removal of the traditional institutions that ground a society and support individual liberty: family, religious traditions, private property, etc. The threat of Chinese style digital totalitarianism is real. Trudeau is a willing though naive champion of this new society. You don’t want it. Polievre is in the minority of politicians who sees what’s at stake.1 point
-
Typical MSM Liberal cheerleading from Coyne, a formerly conservative columnist. He’s another old-worldy Charest type. Other than fiscal conservatism, I don’t see much meaningful critique in his commentary. The influence of the WEF and other international bodies, as well as the special interest so called “philanthropy” of Soros, are anti-democratic forces. Did any Canadians vote for digital identification systems and politically-motivated asset seizures? The fact that you’re so dismissive of these influences is exactly why we cannot have Liberal post-nationalist enablers like Charest in charge. He doesn’t understand current issues. That’s why Polievre has the support of the youth. Coyne is legacy media. Lewis understands these issues too, but Polievre took an early lead discussing them.1 point

My dear Micheal...the CPC is attempting to move back to the values and positions of its traditional base. Its also recognized that conservatives are incredibly concerned about the direction this country is headed in. China poisoned the planet and must be dealt with accordingly. The fossil fuel industry is being hamstrung by a silly ideology. Our current government has shown us that they don't really give a rat's ass about the rights and freedoms of the Canadian people. But I have a suggestion that might just work for you. Quit pretending to be a conservative. Come out of the closet and be what you are...a Libbie. You'll feel better about yourself and you might even gain back some respect.1 point
-
Also - to point out that Coyne EXPLICITLY STATES that going Liberal is a losing strategy. For those of you who can read - Bitcoin, Convoys and getting angry over MASKS are not Conservative ideology. Neither is brainless raging. Come up with a balanced opposition to Trudeau or lose the 4th election in a row to him. That's right FOURTH.1 point

Andrew Coyne surveys the landscape. His assessment is that mindless partisanship has given way to fringe binging. Many conservatives feel that way. "the campaign, like the party, is not nearly ideological enough. This has been a problem for many years. In the Harper years, the party renounced most serious ideological differences with the Liberals in favour of mindless partisanship. In its current incarnation, it leans more to out and out wackjobbery: conspiracy theories of various kinds – is it George Soros who is secretly controlling our lives, or is it the World Economic Forum? – vaccine denialism, and cheering on the lawless mob that took over Ottawa earlier this year. Oh yes, and shilling for bitcoin, as an alternative to the dollar. Three of the five candidates on the podium last Thursday represented some hue of this sort of thinking." https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-vaccine-refusal-blockades-bitcoin-what-does-any-of-this-have-to-do/1 point

It doesn't matter that it happened to less than 500 people. Yeah, some folks need to call names. Be it Fascist or Nazi or whatever. Seems it is their way of trying to be smart or superior. In Ontario you have Andera Horwath, a 5 time loser with a Bob Rae (liberal interim leader too) albatross around her neck and still peddling his philopsophy Steven Del Duca, the illegitimate (or maybe legitimate?) child of McGuinty and Wynne also still peddling their philosophy. Ford, former drug dealer (say some), former Mayor of the centre of the universe and present premier through the greatest worldwide pandemic in recent (if not all) history during 1/2 of his tenure Which one has the credibility to carry on? In my mind, Ford seems the illogical choice.1 point

My view, soul is a concept and does not exist at birth, but a soul can be grown through life experiences. Likewise, it can also die.1 point

I want to shine on, in the hearts of man I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand.(All these things that I have done) In my humble opinion, if there was no soul, there would be very little music. Some stand and fight evil because it’s the right thing to do, even though they risk their lives. Why? Soul.1 point

I had a rich uncle who used to say, "Son...Love is an abscess of the heart, that grows to a head at the crotch." I always found that shallow. Today I have a 30+ year marriage and mostly-baked spawn, and I have come to this conclusion; Love encompasses a wide array of feelings and causes. My wife is a tiny little Czech woman who grew up under communist Czechoslovakia. She's a very strong-willed woman who can make paint peel with her scream. She's also incredibly healthy. The woman had breast cancer and would go for chemo and go straight to work afterwards. Never up-chucked or had any side affects aside from the hair thing. I figure The Rona catches her scent, and runs away. I never seem to get sick. When I do...I sneeze, eat a box of oranges, sleep and done. Our kids are all in shape, strong and healthy. My love for her WAS lust. Then it WAS the adoration of a man who'd been given 3 amazing kids and a new reason for living. Now...its thankfulness for driving me to be my best at all times. In the future, when we retire, she'll be the doll who makes me peanutbutter and honey sandwiches for my golf rounds...1 point
