  1. Gobbledygook. I think you subscribe to the notion that if you don't have facts, you baffle with BS. The IFR of covid is marginally higher than the seasonal flu and affects the same demographics. That is fact. Speak to them some more. More and more life insurance companies are reporting astronomical increases in all cause mortality amongst working age people. Even the recently released Pfizer data is showing the same. You are welcome to live in denial and fear-mongering, if you want. But some of us prefer reality.

  2. This is the part that is up for debate. Can the suspending of human rights be demonstrably justified in the light of the general population's health and safety? In light of the following facts, many do not feel the suspension of rights and closing of businesses is justified: The vaccine does not prevent infection or transmission The virus has a 99.5% survival rate The virus has an IFR that is a fraction of a percentage higher than the seasonal flu While understandable that we wanted to keep hospitals from being overwhelmed, the fact of the matter is that they were overwhelmed prior to the virus Natural immunity for those previously infected with covid or who already have antibodies, has been ignored Proven early treatments were deliberately suppressed, resulting in unnecessary loss of life The "collateral damage" being done to society, is ignored (increase in suicide and depression, domestic violence, closure of small businesses, vaccine injuries and deaths, suspension of human rights, etc.) While sad that the virus is mainly deadly to the elderly and the already health-compromised, this is just a fact of life - severe colds, flus and pneumonias generally have always been more deadly to those groups. They have the tools to help them protect themselves; they are free to social distance, mask, stay home, get vaccinated, do whatever they likely have already been doing to protect themselves long before covid came along. There have always been people with compromised immune systems who have had to do things to protect themselves and also to accept that they face more risk because of their health. If I were in my 80's, I would never expect or demand that the rest of society drastically change or enroll in a medical experiment that has death and permanent disability as a side effect, especially for children. I would do what I could to protect myself and let others do the same. I find that kind of thinking quite selfish.

  3. So it's not just hyperbole. You honestly believe I want you to be subjugated the way people in dictatorships are. That's intellectually challenged.

  4. Yeah but c'mon you also think I'm like some 4 legged beast that says baaa, I wear a swastika on one arm, a hammer and sickle on the other, that I want to enslave you and tear your fingernails to name names so I can tear their nails out too. So hyperbole or...take eyeball's word to the bank?

  5. A bit of globalism is fine, but not to the point of undermining your own country. A typical leftist leader like Trudeau is deeply consumed by emotions like guilt, fear (of offending), and compassion (towards certain people anyways). They want to be the white knight who saves the world, and applauded for it. They won't stand up for the interests of their country if it might make an oppressed person somewhere "feel bad", and they're far too afraid of the potential backlash from being called a racist or sexist or whatever even if it's the right call. Again, there's room for some guilt and compassion, but turning it into an obsession that cripples rationality is simply cowardliness and weakness.

  6. The reason I’ve flipped politically toward the US Republicans is because it’s become ultra clear that protecting a lifestyle remotely resembling the standard of living that most Canadians value against the onslaught of climate change alarmism and the creeping fascist controls over human behaviour is by pushing back as hard as possible. Trudeau is maintaining the punishing schedule of carbon taxes despite the dangerously high cost of living because it will end any discretionary spending, reduce our travel and the size of our living spaces, and it will put us on a track towards greater dependence on government and greater government control. This is in keeping with the WEF plan and Trudeau is adamant about pushing this through against all opposition, no matter how unconstitutional or how much it “bites”. No one is saying that we shouldn’t seek green alternatives where there’s bang for the buck or the costs aren’t heavy, but the current plan of adding carbon taxes and shutting down drilling despite hyperinflation and a military threat from an energy superpower, is a recipe for servitude and poverty.

  9. It's not a suspension of human rights. It's a reasonable limit to the guarantee of specific rights in the face of a health crisis. There comes a point when the costs outweigh the gains for the mandates and restrictions, and I think those were reasonable arguments to make even before the end of 2021, but not on the basis of pseudo-science, questionable conclusions drawn from good data, or straight-up falsehoods, one of the most obvious being this gem: Which isn't true by any measure - with even the mild Omicron variant being ~40% more likely than the seasonal flu to cause death - this after almost two years of COVID circulating through the population already. This also ignores that the IFR is only one piece of the puzzle when comparing COVID to influenza, with COVID being demonstrably more virulent/infectious.

  10. I am actually surprised they dropped the Syrian nonsense. I was sure the end game there was a no fly zone and confrontation with Russia. That's how Lindsey Graham and John McCain wanted things to go. But they were beating the Syrian war drums for years. And now its Russia. These maniacs all have the lust for power in common. If you wonder why GWB got the Saudis on airplanes on 911 it all goes back to his father. His father's secretary of state James Baker works as a legal consultant for the Royal Family. It is why GWB called Islam a religion of peace. And then that explains why establishment republicans did nothing to help DJT fight the great election steal.

  13. At all costs? Totalitarian controlling mindset? When you stop screaming into your pillow and can actually speak without hyperbole, more people will take your seriously and listen to what you have to say. The foolishness and ignorance behind your conspiracy theories and rabid hyperbole are what scare most people. You can barely go one post without raving about totalitarians or nazis, so it shouldn't be a surprise nobody's really paying attention to you. Like with the doomsayer wailing on the street, we walk past as quickly as possible and tune you out.

  14. If I'm an elder here in my 30's then I guess this board is filled with children. but how often are we really excited about our party leaders? With how many compromises are required to gain widespread appeal, the best you can usually ask for is someone who doesn't scare you and who's better than the rest.

  18. Tucker makes a pretty good case for the idea this war is all about the Biden regime pushing the Ukraine for NATO narrative. But tucker is an Anti-vaxxer, Climate denying, racist Putin-lover, of course. However... If he's so wrong why not just prove it? Simply make it clear to the Globalist stenographers in the puppet media there will be no Ukraine in NATO. What's the worse that could happen? That Tucker might be right and the shelling of Ukraine would stop. That there would be no WW III with billions dead? Boo frickin Hoo. If Tucker's so wrong, prove it, Joe Biden. Tell the world there will be no NATO for the Ukraine.

  20. We will see in short order I'd imagine. I think Putin is in about as much hot water as he can take right now. Yet...my wife...being Czech...watches Czech and Slovak news. The Slovaks are tired of Ukrainian refugees already, and she tells me that a recent poll in Russia shows Putin having gained popularity of late inside Russia. I don't know how accurate that is, but one thing's for sure...Russians do respond well to shows of strength.

  22. Are you aware that her original goal for fundraising was only $20,000? She had no idea the movement would take off the way it did - both in Canada and world-wide. Did you know that the convoys and marches and freedom chains are still going on, all over the world? As soon as the fundraiser started taking off, she immediately got a lawyer, accountants and advisors. GoFundMe has also stated that they were lied to by the Ottawa police and the Canadian government about the nature of the protest. The government has also tried to intimidate GiveSendGo, but their CEO has stuck up for the protest. GoFundMe shut down Freedom Convoy's page after Ottawa mayor claimed they were 'violent' - LifeSite (lifesitenews.com) She was a political prisoner, and I hope she sues the ass off the government. The guy in Winnipeg that ran down 4 people at the protest, was released on bail immediately. You should be much more concerned about your government and media lying and manipulating and freezing personal bank accounts over $20 donations in order to stop a peaceful protest, than Tamara Lich getting out on bail.

  25. Sure. And we were never really given a choice. We were told certain things would be good for the country and then our politicians went ahead and did it. Were the people ever consulted? Did the major parties have much difference of opinion on it to give us a choice about it? A bunch of globalism is just crooked capitalism. Now you can't support exiting the EU to regain sovereignty without being called a racist, or feeling terrible guilt that you yourself might be a xenophobe. All of a sudden the left are a bunch of neoliberals lol. Any sense of acting in the national interest if it hurts the interests of people outside the country is "xenophobic". You can't even close our borders at the beginning of a pandemic without being accused of racism. What a country of cowards and losers. Canada doesn't owe any foreign national or foreign company a damn thing besides following the law. Apparently this is a racist statement. The guilt ridden leftists in the US can't even stop illegal migrants pouring into the country or send the ones they catch home without flogging themselves in shame. There's no reason to hate these migrants, again this is illogical negative emotions. But rule of law and national interest matters.

  28. Emotions like guilt, fear, etc can have their place. But when emotions are pervasive to the point of trumping reason, you have a problem. You can see many people all over the political spectrum suffering from this problem, people on the right are certainly not immune. You can have compassion without being paralyzed by weakness. Irrationality is the enemy of rationality. Leftists are paralyzed by compassion/guilt/fear, and conservatives are paralyzed by fear also, and both succumb to anger and hatred, which leads to a dark place. The problem with our politics is that its become so emotional, and therefore illogical.

  29. All of these items you mention have the same thread running through them. It’s the same one that runs through Ukraine and condemns Putin(and rightfully so) but won’t condemn China if they invade Taiwan. The globalists have the US now, btw, Biden is an outpatient.

  31. I understand why the truckers took a stand over mandates, and I do think it served to remove them in some provinces for all the residents there. They really had no other means to show their opposition outside of protest. Their civil disobedience was not violent, though I agree it was disruptive. However, the blockades were removed and the honking curtailed prior to issuing the Emergencies Act. Trudeau still won’t discuss the removal of mandates and his descriptions of protesters and the unvaccinated were discriminatory and divisive. I believe in vaccines, but the pressure brought to bear on the unvaccinated, I and millions of Canadians believe, is unethical and unconstitutional. With regard to comments about mainstream media, the major news outlets in Canada did seem to editorialize against the protesters, painting them much the way Trudeau did, with one brush that identified them with a small more extreme element in the convoy. It wasn’t fair and thousands of Canadians feel mistreated because they were mistreated. I’ll stop my hyperbole, but it was intentional, because the status quo isn’t okay. We see an out of touch government that has pushed its agenda beyond was is reasonable or even constitutional. It’s polarized Canadians and reduced people’s confidence in government and the country as a whole, after a period in which Canada has been slammed as colonial, racist, and other negative qualities, even though anyone who knows something about world history can only see Canada in a positive light relative to just about every other country. To me and many Canadians, this is Trudeau’s legacy.

Harper was good at eviscerating his opponents in debates as well, but at least he understood that he had to win an election and that riling people like Zeitgeist up wasn't good enough. Do you see the problem with this comment? Please tell me that you can see it.

I can't help but think restraint from our side is going to be easier to overcome as time passes. My wife is still in distress after listening to a dog crying in fear and pain alongside its dead human family just killed in a blast. It's pretty fucking awful what's going on over there. So I wonder how much of Putin's nuclear forces are in as shabby condition as his conventional forces? How many of his missiles will simply fizzle or explode on the spot when launched?
