  1. You can't do anything if you can't get elected. That's really the pragmatic attitude the conservatives are taking. Talk softly and soothingly, then try to move the population more to the right once you're in power and have more influence.

  2. No. Private health care. Those who can afford and choose will pay for their expenses like hospitals, tests and surgeries fpr faster better quality service as our public health care is broken under load. This way the existing current money and facilities will remain for those who choose public care and hence faster and better service for those who choose public care as well. A win-win situation. Not sure what is wrong with people but in the latest Nanos survey, 53 percent of Canadians did not favor Private health care (on the positive side 47% did). Very disappointing. People don't understand or are use to public health care and can't understand the enormous benefits of private care alongside public one.

  3. Actually only about 20% of Canada is arable and with 90% of the population crowded in the south and no governments willing to set policies to encourage or require a minimum northern residency period prior to granting full citizenship, Canada is getting very crowded and expensive due to the constant increase in demand for property. Also, it’s clear that decisions are being made about what Canada should accept by external organizations like the UN and dominant governments like China and the US. Trudeau is an easy mark for such manipulation.

  4. OMG. Are you serious? Just please reflect on the fact that government imposes speed limits, traffic laws, licensing and insurance reqemts, seatbelt laws, stop signs, traffic lights, vehicle safety standards, etc. THOSE ARE PUBLIC SAFETY RESTRICTIONS IN RESPONSE TO DEATHS- NO DIFFERENT THAN COVID RESTRICTIONS Luckily we didn’t have populist nutjobs back then on the verge of terrorist attacks over having to wear seatbelts like we have now over having to wear masks.

  5. Science is backed up by data and the message is clear. Get vaccinated and save lives of others and yourself. This message is particularly important as the Delta dominated fourth wave is coming to Canada, Vaccines are doing a great job to protect you and your family, friends and neighbors as well as strangers you come across on a bus, in a shopping mall, theaters and groceries, SO DO TAKE THE VACCINE ASAP IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. https://globalnews.ca/news/8073598/covid-coronavirus-vaccine-hesitant-hospital-deaths-modelling/ “The data show that 85 per cent of hospitalized COVID-19 cases were unvaccinated, with only 0.7 per cent of hospitalized cases occurring in fully vaccinated patients,” she said during the Friday press conference. “The majority of cases, hospitalizations and fatal outcomes are occurring among unvaccinated people,” Tam said. Compared to cases among those who have been fully vaccinated, unvaccinated Canadians are three times more likely to be hospitalized if they catch COVID-19. With the Delta variant ripping across the country, it’s more important than ever to try to get your jab, Tam said. “We need more eligible people vaccinated,” she said. Roughly 6.3 million Canadians still haven’t had a vaccine.

  6. Actually the NDP and liberals to some extent are doing their best to destroy the market economy. The don't say they will end it, but they bring in so many Socialist policies, red tape, and government control that they effectively strangle the free market economy.

  9. And Israel has had 1.1 million cases in a population of 9.1. The Swedish stat is also comparable to other European countries of a similar population. What's your point? Let's check this out again, because you appear to have missed it the first time. Here's Sweden - New Cases: Here's Israel - New Cases Here's Sweden - Daily Deaths Here's Israel Daily Deaths: So again, what's your point. Liberty Daily's point was that Sweden - a country that never imposed mask mandates or lockdowns was so worried about the radical spike in covid cases and deaths in Israel - a country that did have mask mandates and lockdowns that on Monday of this week Sweden banned Israeli travelers from entering Sweden. Vaccinated and unvaccinated. As you can see they had reason to. So one more time, what's your freaking point?

  10. The Conservatives need to reabsorb Bernier and the PPC because they’re the only real conservative option and the big Canadian parties have shifted far too left. Trudeau’s empowerment of the left wing fringe is literally destroying Canada. No major parties are questioning the false rewriting of history and the constant framing of issues in terms of victimhood and identity politics. We’ve gone from can-do to can-get, and the parties compete by throwing more giveaways (debt) at the citizens rather than inspiring pride and challenging people to become more productive. Feed the garbage can fire blocking the rail line, pass the doob, and get that CERB cheque.

  11. The Liberals can increase their target to even 100! Those are just numbers! It's so easy to spout off numbers! Lol - what's the point if they were not even able to meet the previous target!

  15. They're trying to use the same fear tactics in Canada that were used on conservatives in the USA. In case anyone hasn't noticed, America is heading towards 3rd world status in a big hurry. The right wing think tank Freedom House has them ranked 65th in the world in personal freedom, and that's before the Jim Crow laws flooding the country are considered. I wouldn't be surprised to see America drop out of the 100 freest countries in the world. In the last election we watched as almost 1/3 of American told the world they were willing to give up their freedom to be protected by a strongman dictator. Let's not let that happen to Canada.

  18. Cancer and heart disease and accidents are not contagious. The only items on your list that are contagious are Covid-19 and the flu, with COVID being far more contagious and killing nearly twice as many people. Again look the shithole red states where the infected have totally filled up overwhelmed hospitals and ICU wards and are dying in droves, entire schools are repeatedly shutdown due to large outbreaks among students and staff….all this even now more than a year and half into the pandemic when we should already have this under control. But those states are in their worst crisis since the pandemic started. Is that what we should do, fill up our hospitals and constantly shut down entire schools due to constant outbreaks?

  20. The behavior of some within the protest groups is pretty bad. Dropping f-bombs and throwing stuff is unacceptable but you call these actions Nazi tactics? Nazis exterminated people, had concentration camps. These kinds of actions are in fact not typical Cons behavior. The behavior of these guys is actually a lot more like leftist mobs. Think antifa or BLM. I hope you have noticed that conservatives have condemned this behavior.

  21. With the idea that you will learn the lesson and comply with the safety measures on your new job. Usually non-compliance in the case you mention, refers to not knowing or following the established safety procedures and practices or making mistakes, like not wearing PPE when you have to. These are conditions, the employee agreed to follow before being hired! Now the table has turned a different way; employment conditions have been changed from under the employee. The employee never accepted being vaccinated as a condition of employment. If terminated, an unvaccinated employee will not find a job with another employer or be rehired. Worse than being a killer who just served his 25 year sentence !!! This type of monstrosity I cannot approve!

  23. The seasonal flu also kills a random selection of young, healthy people. Car crashes kill a thousand times more healthy people than covid. Do you want to set the speed limit on the highway to 50MPH, set the city limit to 15MPH, and give out tickets of $200 to anyone who goes 1MPH over the speed limit? Do you want to send people to jail for going 10MPH over the limit? Do you want to instantly send people to jail for a year if they blow .071? Sounds crazy, but so does lockdowns and mandatory vaxxes for C19.

  25. I don't have to add much, in this life we already live with a large number of risks. Flu complications, traffic accidents, random accidents, earthquakes hurricanes, lightning strikes meteorite strikes black hole encounter and all the way to the random collapse of the Universe. Yes, and the rising health risks due to global warming. Yes and quite possibly due to confusing and misleading advice ("travel from Wuhan")> So the questions should be addressed not to me but to the authorities, for example: should measures be proportional to the risks, for the majority of population? And if some groups are at significantly higher risk, shouldn't effective targeted measures be developed and implemented to protect them without overreaching and indefinite, by all signs, restrictions on the whole society?

  27. True and woke is about as far away from Libertarian as you get. Woke is about societal control. A libertarian might recognize your right to be woke if that's what turns your crank but they'd never recognize any right you might feel you have to use it to control others.
