Yet you seem to have so little respect for it. House of cards my ass.
And fall into the usual trap that anyone with a differing opinion must hate those being discussed.

Yes I loathe separatists, I do not hate Albertans. My mother's family is  from there, 3 of my Granpas brothers remanned there. Several of my friends and my grandson moved there and I visit there often. If I had to move, I'd pick there.

I wouldn't give a shit I had to pay the same taxes as everyone else (Less in fact with no sales tax) or who I imagined benefited more than me. Or have the notion you could pull the stats of one provinces,, city or other group and use it to thy to convince others they're being ripped off. They aren't.

I'm not the one being selfish, the separatists are. Grubby little beancounting money grubbing miscreants.

Respect..is a two way deal....it is earned for the most part, I served for 34 years in the worlds worse shit holes....i watched my comrades in arms have to beg our nation once they returned to give them any treatment to make them whole again....thousands are still homeless, thousand more can't get treatment, or have to wait years to see mental health or physical health care professionals...And it is still going on today, let me ask you does your work or your home have drinkable water, or working toilets, built in the 50's....In CFB Petawawa, there is infra structure there that was built in WWI....that is used to store vehicles in........is the equipment you worked on older than you are, most of our vehicles are not fit for the highways, when i retired we have to stay off public roads because some vehicles were un road worthy....and use the training area roads does all of that sound like respect....or a nation that cares...

I have lost my respect for this nation a long time ago, I served because of the men and women on the left and right of me, and i would do anything for them then and now.......not because of some long lost patriotic duty to Canada...but because they are my brothers and sisters...I've been spit on at  Canadian airports, there was a period of time we could not even wear our uniforms out in public because it would spark outrage...had to bring our uniforms in to work on hangers change at work, and reverse all of it going home...that happen to me in Edmonton...Lots of respect....and while it did get better, once we were in combat, the only time we got equipment upgrades was when enough soldiers had died....and it happened alot....then getting home, soldiers were committing suicide in huge numbers, and still they could not figure out why, and when they did figure it out , you had to wait years for treatment....deaths from suicide out number soldiers killed in Afghanistan by 5 or 6 to one...Vets are still committing suicide at much smaller numbers but it is still happening, does that sound like respect to you...

That being said i escorted my best friend back to Canada, he was killed in some shitty part of Afghanistan by an IED...we landed in Trenton and took the highway of hero's to the his home town funeral home...and on every bridge there stood Canadians maybe 10 or 20, at each over pass, some off the fire stations had come out and hung the Canadian flag up high on their ladder trucks... for all to see...I respect that....6 days later i was back in combat with my unit...i respect that...

I would do it all over again, not for my nation but for the thousands of people who also served...i's not sure you can find better Canadians than those people....

SO yes i'm sure there is a lot of Canadians that don't have respect for the nation, separatist have groups in almost every province it should be a huge red flag....and for many different reason as well...Canada is not united, it has dozens of groups who like or dislike other Canadians....i mean just look at our intra provincial trade everyone is out for themselves...not the nation as a whole....to the tune of over 210 bil dollars worth of waste and greed...and it is not a priority to fix that....

That is horrible.  I'm so sorry that happened to you.  I used to live near the base around Edmonton and everyone I know has utmost respect for our soldiers.  Our whole little town had a homecoming for one of our vets who served over there.  I'm sad that you met with someone so disrespectful.  That's not how anyone I know feels.

https://www.ipolitics.ca/2026/01/29/premiers-preach-unity-amid-report-that-alberta-separatist-group-met-with-trump-white-house-officials/

The Financial Times reported on Wednesday that Trump White House officials held three meetings since April with members of the Alberta Prosperity Project, a right-wing separatist group. The outlet said the group is seeking a $500 billion credit facility to bankroll the province if a referendum on separatism is successful.

Alberta separatists are meeting with American officials to seek aid in breaking up Canada.   Seems to be financial aid, from the reports.

The criminal code states:

High treason

46 (1) Every one commits high treason who, in Canada,

(a) kills or attempts to kill Her Majesty, or does her any bodily harm tending to death or destruction, maims or wounds her, or imprisons or restrains her;

(b) levies war against Canada or does any act preparatory thereto; or

(c) assists an enemy at war with Canada, or any armed forces against whom Canadian Forces are engaged in hostilities, whether or not a state of war exists between Canada and the country whose forces they are.

Marginal note:Treason

(2) Every one commits treason who, in Canada,

(a) uses force or violence for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Canada or a province;

(b) without lawful authority, communicates or makes available to an agent of a state other than Canada, military or scientific information or any sketch, plan, model, article, note or document of a military or scientific character that he knows or ought to know may be used by that state for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or defence of Canada;

(c) conspires with any person to commit high treason or to do anything mentioned in paragraph (a);

(d) forms an intention to do anything that is high treason or that is mentioned in paragraph (a) and manifests that intention by an overt act; or

(e) conspires with any person to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) or forms an intention to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) and manifests that intention by an overt act.

To me, it probably doesn’t rise to the level of treason yet, unless they discussed military, or policing operations, or given the Americans any intelligence , which I suspect the separatists don’t have anyway.   If they even talked about any American military or policing after a vote for Alberta to separate before it became independent, this may be treason, or it may be seditious conspiracy, which is a different charge unfpder the criminal code.

.......... always strange to me why Separatists are allowed to sit and vote on federal legislation in Ottawa.

Any close vote affecting the entire country could be decided by a separatist party?

Asinine. IMO

Oh, come on.

They don't use that report anymore because it was fearmongering garbage modeling.

Why Apocalyptic Claims About Climate Change Are Wrong

Part of what bothers me about the apocalyptic rhetoric by climate activists is that it is often accompanied by demands that poor nations be denied the cheap sources of energy they need to develop. I have found that many scientists share my concerns.

“If you want to minimize carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in 2070  you might want to accelerate the burning of coal in India today,” MIT climate scientist Kerry Emanuel said.

“It doesn’t sound like it makes sense. Coal is terrible for carbon. But it’s by burning a lot of coal that they make themselves wealthier, and by making themselves wealthier they have fewer children, and you don’t have as many people burning carbon, you might be better off in 2070.”

Emanuel and Wigley say the extreme rhetoric is making political agreement on climate change harder.

“You’ve got to come up with some kind of middle ground where you do reasonable things to mitigate the risk and try at the same time to lift people out of poverty and make them more resilient,” said Emanuel. “We shouldn’t be forced to choose between lifting people out of poverty and doing something for the climate.”

Happily, there is a plenty of middle ground between climate apocalypse and climate denial.

Why Climate Alarmism Hurts Us All

Climate Scientists Speak Out

The good news is that mainstream climate scientists are starting to push back against the fear-mongering.

And now, eyehole, go change your diaper.  You were a fearmongering piece of crap on covid and you're a fearmongering piece of crap on climate.

This made a lot more sense back in the day when we only had 3.5 billion or so human beings.

Instead we chose to invest in widening the gap between rich and poor. It's too late to start over again with 8 billion people,  especially if we keep widening that gap. Canada is well on track to setting a new record for that. And now that climate concern has been relegated to the backburner as well, RCP8.5 might become useful again.

Ah, yes.  The name-calling because I'm not pooping my pants like you are.

The big difference between us climate REALISTS and you climate ALARMISTS is that your solutions are extremely anti-humanity.

From impoverishing 3rd world countries further to somehow "getting rid" of billions of humans to terrorizing the world's youth, ALRMISTS like eyeball, MH, treeface, etc. are distinctly anti-human.

REALISTS have better solutions.  Solutions that don't kill people.  We believe in the adaptability of humans and our capacity to come up with solutions using tech.

Separatists in Alberta won’t say with whom they met.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/article/high-level-alberta-separatist-group-wont-confirm-which-members-of-trumps-administration-it-met-with/

Pressed by Kapelos on how some Canadians may find those actions problematic, Rath acknowledged he understands it could be “upsetting” to “people in Ontario and Quebec,” but emphasized that “Albertans are done.”

“Quite frankly, the Trump administration shows Albertans far more respect than are shown to Albertans by the government in Ottawa,” Rath later added.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, meanwhile, recently weighed in on the separatist movement and called Alberta a “natural partner for the U.S.”

I think this dishonesty and (dictionary definition) treasonous behaviour is likely to hurt their cause, so the more meetings with Trump’s stooges, the better.

I suspect that eyehole is like MH, who openly said he rejects any climate information from any of the other scientific specialties - like geologists, biologists, oceanologists, etc.  He said he does not accept any climate info from anyone that is not a climate scientist.

I reject this view.

Just like the human body, all systems work together and have effects on each other.

The oceanographer in this video makes some very pertinent points and so do the arctic geologists.

CO2 FOLLOWS warming, not the other way around.  And the lag is hundreds of years.

There is a lot of information out there from other scientific specialties that confirm this.  Which, of course, the ALARMISTS will reject.  But this video sums it up quite nicely.

As with the "pandemic" - follow the science, not the money.

I never said any such thing. I've told you time and time again that you should submit your meta-analyses and conclusions to the IPCC.

You could well be in-line for a Nobel...millions for research... probably a statue...high schools  named after you...scientists would be throwing underwear at you...

Seriously, of course the best solution to the climate crisis would be to prove there is no crisis and especially that fossil fuels have nothing to do with anything.

Just a heads up though, screeching it in all caps probably won't help.
