Maybe someone has seen the movie, V for Vendetta. It's funny / curious how close we came and no one even noticed, no big deal.

1. A new epidemics, possibly flu-like doesn't have to be the government and we'll never know in any case. Done.

2. War measures, only to manage it obviously. Done.

3. A few extensions. Easy, look CBC told us it's not improving wear mask in your washroom mandate.

4. When no one any longer cares (90+ percent in a local store in masks, over a month since it was lifted) change the law. Easy, another vote, some respected members out of the toilet, busy democracy.

5. Anyone who notices, branded anti-something (misogynist, racist and so on get creative) and generally ostracized. Done.

3 out of 5 and the rest, very easy a piece of cake. Take a note future authoritarians.. or present, any why not?

Your decision not to get vaccinated had nothing to do with mandatory vaccination. Entering a restaurant is not your right. A restaurant can still require a vaccine passport if they wish, even though there is no longer a requirement to do so. A business can also require masks if they so choose.

I wasn't able to find any information that showed proof that Trudeau owns shares. Is there actual proof that Trudea owns shares that you can point to?

BTW, Reuters is not a good fact-check source.  One of their CEOs is also on the board of Pfizer.  They've been caught lying in fact-checks already quite a few times.

Throwing crap out there without fact checking it has become an epidemic, even so called doctors are doing it.  It acquires a life of its own when people like Goddess gobble it up and accept it as gospel.

An example of doctors throwing crap out there was Fausti and Tam and Bonnie Henry saying that the vaccines would be safe, effective, and would get us to herd immunity when it was literally impossible for anyone to know that.

None of it turned out to be true, but we focused all of our attention on vaccines as our saviour - considering or discussing any other possibility was forbidden - and now we have nothing but division.

If you want to talk about another example of doctors throwing crap, look at the court cases against Bonnie Henry and her counterpart in Alberta. Both are in the process of losing court cases against their vaccine mandates.

Absurdly, but that goes with the age, we should be thankful for this experience to bring to the front what was already there, behind the scene: self-managed, opaque, out of all checks and controls bureaucracy with no clues how to approach and manage complex problems. Yes we have seen it, all. And yawned. And went back to blissful slumber. Only one take here: it will have to be more, and stronger, way more and stronger to even hope to wake us up to the reality.

Stopping in-camera lobbying would go a long way to addressing this.

Unfortunately vast swaths of our population have somehow convinced themselves this sort of transparency will be the end of us.

They can't say exactly how or why but no doubt the people behind closed doors will be the first to agree with them
