Sean Spicer did not lie!   This is what he'd said:

“the largest audience ever to witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe”.

The period is used to indicate the end of a sentence. After his sentence ended, he doubled down and further lied by saying "in person" which was clearly a lie. Maybe more people than ever streamed it though. But he didn't say that.

This was addressed at todays Press Secretary briefing, and Sean Spicer had reiterated and stood by what he'd said.  When you consider the internet, television, tablets, and other ways thru modern tech, that people can watch the inaugural ceremony - indeed, Trump's got the broadest audience, ever!

His inaugural address was watched around the globe!

I see you are still trying to igmore those huge wide open spaces on the mall.

He's still correct!  It is the largest audience (from personal attendance to media of all sorts) to witness an inauguration!

Check the video - the reporter couldn't say anything to refute him!

Check the video.  Timer 40:05.

He's not merely talking about those folks in Washington.

He tackled that,  bang-on!  43:13

Pointless to argue with Progressives on these matters.

As the saying goes: Arguing with them is a bit like playing chess with a pigeon....

Here's what matters: Trump scored HUGE where it counts: Senate, Congress, Judicial...and El Presidente', of course.

They've got 4 years at least to whine (and believe me...that's all they'll do)...no point wearing yourself out.

How did they lie about the polls?

Lying is a pretty serious thing.

They all were wrong with their forecast!

That would be like Trump and Spicer saying, "Wow.....look at the crowd."  Then they got a tweet from a news agency that says it's the biggest audience.....and they repeat what they were told  (just like the MSM repeated what they were told by pollsters!)

How come what the MSM say is not a lie.....and yet, anti-Trump says Trump/Spicer were lying???

Hiding behind an unwillingness to understand basic grammar is rarely a successful debate tactic.

You agree with Betsy and the Trump skoesman that it was the biggest crowd ever?

And of course Trump reiterated the exaggeration at his CIA speech that is when he wasn't crying over the press reporting his lies. Bit of a vicious circle eh.

I'm glad to see you've given up. You weren't able to offer much beyond gloating anyway.

Now, now...I'll still hold your feet to the flames re: stellar metallicity.

;)

You're used to playing defense...no need here....Trump WON. No amount of wishin' and a hopin' is going to change that. You're better-off just letting these guys and gals make-up increasingly wild charges.

That's disputable.  There were some extreme claims made as to Hillary's chances of victory.  Still, it's not lying to make a bad prediction.

Call out the forecasters, that's enough.  No need to call them liars.

They were liars...lying for their own anti-Trump bias.   Liars.

There was a time...not so long ago...when distrust of the media and BIG GOVERNMENT was the other way....but brain cells being what they are in the 21st century.

Of course, in Al's...errr....time...the media wasn't quite as downright open in their lying lies.

It's funny that if provided for examples of the media's lying lies, you would lazily reply that there's no point wearing yourself out. Donald said they lied so it must be true. Donald doesn't lie.

Right, change the goalposts from attendance in Washington to the view from the whole planet.

It must be heartening to see your posting style normalized into a new style of governance.

The businesses that did collection the info on those election polls were paid by GS, it may Clinton always ahead and I don't know if this was to sway people to not vote for Trump or make more Dems to come out and vote but it didn't work, at least that was what I was told...that Trump would win weeks before Nov.

How can you lie when predicting ?  538 had a 1/3 chance of Trump winning. 0/3 would have been a lie.

That's just nonsense.

There was ample evidence that Trump would be competitive on election night.  The LA Times sure figured it out beforehand.

538 just aggregated the lies....

Liberal media gave Trump a zero chance....laughed at Ann Coulter's "prediction".
