  1. There is only so much a powerful military can do because there are limits to where they can attack. Pakistan supports the Taliban but it's not realistic to take military action in that particular sh*thole country. World opinion would be against spreading the war beyond Afghanistan's borders so it looks like the Taliban will rule for a long time. It's almost impossible to defeat an enemy with all the time in the world on their hands. Ben Shapiro thinks it's likely the Harris/Biden administration will end up paying to get the thousands of remaining Americans out and will therefore be funding the Taliban. Seems to me the best option would have been to keep a strong enough military presence(all civilized nations) in Afghanistan to basically keep the terrorists at bay. It is heartbreaking to know what's going to happen to the people once again under these bastards.
  2. I suppose some places that hosted the Olympics did well financially at the end of the day but many others did not. Ratings aren't that great for the most recent Games and frankly I don't think most people care about the Olympics. The Olympics are primarily about money and actual sports rank much lower in importance. Why not have the winter and summer games at fixed sites? PHOTOS: What Abandoned Olympic Venues Look Like Today (businessinsider.com) Personally I would rather see those billions destined for the Olympics used for upgrading basic infrastructure.
  3. The thing is that the NDP, Bloc and Greens(if there are any) will almost always support the Liberals and their woke agenda. It's another reason I don't like this election timing since the Liberals in a sense have the next best thing to a majority. The Conservatives are kind of woke too.
  4. Electric cars will change the way we live and how we use our time. I can get almost 800km of range in a couple of minutes with my compact car while I see that an expensive Tesla will get only 200 miles of range after 15 minutes of supercharging. The bottom line is that people will be spending an awful lot more time waiting around to recharge. I have to wonder where all the electricity will come from as well. Wind turbines and solar panels? The dirty secret of electric vehicles | World Economic Forum (weforum.org) David Booth: What happens when there's just too many Teslas? | Driving
  5. Democracy and Islam are incompatible. Pakistan will be happy to have the Taliban back in control of Afghanistan.
  6. So if I have this right, a man or woman can suddenly declare themselves to be of the opposite on a whim, and now that person has actually biologically changed into that gender? Are you kidding me? I'm a white guy so can I now magically become black or asian or whatever if I so choose?? I'm guessing this only works in woke Western democracies and not in the Muslim world.
  7. Sadly I predict an easy Trudeau majority. Conservatives will lose a few seats and O'Toole will be forced out. I think the NDP may also lose seats but Jagmeet Singh will get praised by the MSM. All I can think of when it comes to Trudeau is that Canadians are even less interested in the other Party's than the Liberals. Trudeau has a lot of baggage that he brings to the table. Ethics violations, blackface, credible allegation of groping a female, his record as PM since 2015 is nothing to brag about. He really is "fake as f*ck" in the words of Celina Caesar-Chavannes as she well knows.
  8. It shows just how awful the MSM is for ignoring this story in order to protect the Democrats. Hunter is extremely wealthy for making introductions and little else.
  9. I don't think things will improve or be cheaper as governments force electric cars on everyone. I'm guessing it won't be cheap to recharge an electric car to get comparable range to it's gas powered counterpart. Don't forget about long recharging times.
  10. Gas prices stress me out big time and I drive a compact car. I still have to drive to work so I pay more but my emissions are the same and electric cars are not great for anyone doing a long commute(long charging times). It doesn't help that the oil and gas sector in this country get's very little support either. I do think one of the benefits of the metric system for the Liberals was that people wouldn't realize how much they were being gouged at the pumps. In the early 70s my father had a 40 min commute in an Oldsmobile with a 455, how times have changed.
  11. I don't have much trust in the MSM and I agree with those that think promoting ideology is more important than simple reporting of facts. The MSM is also more about entertainment and flashy headlines, just like clickbait. There are too many Charlie Chester's running the news/entertainment industry.
  12. Good documentary, Michael Palin in North Korea.
  13. I think the wealthy in Canada already pay the lions share of the overall taxes. Measuring the Distribution of Taxes in Canada: Do the Rich Pay Their “Fair Share”? | Fraser Institute How much of a ‘fair share’ do Canada’s top earners pay? You might be surprised | Financial Post As for systemic racism in Ontario, I don't buy into that and I question any hiring system that favours one race over another. How is that not racist?
  14. Yes there are examples of Republicans getting harassed in public places. Steve Scalise? 14 Times Republican Officials Viciously Harassed, Threatened With Death (thefederalist.com) Waters Encourages Public Harassment of Trump Administration Officials: ‘Create a Crowd … Tell Them They’re Not Welcome’ (freebeacon.com) Democrats DID NOT hold Watters to account for her incendiary statements. Neither did the MSM. Violence is apparently acceptable if progressives are doing it.
  15. Ok so does that mean there isn't any actual evidence as in specific instructions to commit acts of violence? It seems that you're choosing to interpret his words as you see fit. A lot of politicians use rhetoric by the way. Here is what Joe Biden said two years ago in a speech at the University of Miami, speaking of Donald Trump: "I said, if we were in high school, I'd take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him." Now any reasonable person wouldn't take a comment like that too seriously, but it's just what politicians say in the heat of the moment. There are some real examples of politicians going way too far. How about Maxine Watters ? What pushback does she ever get from her incendiary public statements? Or does she get a pass because she's black and a Democrat? “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” Maxine Watters
  16. Fact Check: Did Trump Say to 'Peacefully and Patriotically' March to the Capitol? (newsweek.com) Is Trump actually on record saying explicitly that he wants his supporters to use violence to take back the Presidency?
  17. I guess the point I'm trying to make is everyone should get to voice their opinion. Hillary Clinton claims to this day that the 2016 election was stolen from her and she has every right to make that claim. She has not been prevented from saying so and hasn't been censored on Facebook, Twitter or Youtube. Why the blatant double standard for Donald Trump with his similar concerns for the 2020 election? Why does the angry Democrat get to speak out on all social media platforms while the angry Republican get's censored?
  18. Are mail in ballots equally secure as in person voting where ID is required? Yes or no?
  19. Can anyone say with 100% certainty that mail-in ballots are every bit as secure as in person voting? Were there no strange results in the 2020 election. Biden get's more ballots than any candidate in history, easily surpassing Obama's numbers, and yet the Democrats lost ground in the House. Biden is way more popular than Obama? Who knew that all along it was Obama riding Biden's coattails?? A statistically impossible election (publish0x.com) Voter Fraud Never Happens! (Except in These 10,000 Cases) - Ann Coulter If people are suspicious of the 2020 election, so what? What's the difference between saying the 2020 and 2016 elections were stolen. The election cannot be undone and everyone has to live with the results. It's not as though there has never been a single case of voter fraud in the US before. It's almost funny that Democrats have the ability to "find" more votes in close races they have apparently lost. I totally accept that Biden is President(at least in theory). I do think democracies should also strive to make elections more secure and I believe in person voting with ID is hard to beat.
  20. I think they may justify the mail-in voting by simply saying it's more convenient and "inclusive". Way less secure too but that's just me. The Liberals are drooling over this too. Trudeau Liberals want 'vote by telephone' option, more mail-in ballots in federal election | The Post Millennial
  21. With Justin Trudeau as PM Canada is certainly moving in the direction of a Communist state. We all know he has publicly stated his admiration for the Chinese dictatorship. Trudeau has started the process of disarming law abiding gun owners while ignoring gang violence. Bill C-10 and now C-36 to limit free speech on the internet are things all dictatorships engage in. Trudeau , like Joe Biden really isn't the one in actual charge, that would be the radical progressives past and present like Telford , Butts etc.
  22. Trump had his faults as President but also strong points, as in the strength of the economy at least until China shared Covid with the rest of the world. As far as I know, Trump did not weaponize any federal agencies against his opponents unlike the Democrats(IRS,DOJ, FBI etc). I think any potential candidates on the Republican side are so much better than the dismal bunch of Democrats that ran last time with the exception of Tulsi Gabbard. But with the mail in ballot system that helped Biden last time it will be very difficult for the Dems to lose. Trump got a lot of votes in 2020 but Biden got even more ballots.? I can't see Biden being around in 2024 because he's clearly not even in charge now.
  23. I don't hate Greta Thunberg but I get sick of seeing her elevated by the progressive/woke elitists to some kind of god-like status. This piece from Sky News Australia sums up Greta Thunberg perfectly. Greta Thunberg’s ‘dishonest, alarmist rubbish’ is tragically destroying young people - YouTube
  24. According to the Ann Coulter column link that I posted above, the Florida ballots were recounted by an independent investigative firm which was paid for by the New York Times,CNN,Washington Post and the Associated Press as well as some others. Apparently even the New York Times admitted that the Supreme Court did not award an election to Bush that otherwise would have been won by Gore. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bronsonstocking/2020/11/06/former-dem-governor-admits-democratic-voter-fraud-is-widespread-and-real-n2579632 I could be wrong but it seems that most instances of election fraud seem to involve Democrats. Election fraud here and there can begin to add up. Why shouldn't allegations of election fraud be thoroughly investigated? The Democrats should welcome it if they have nothing to hide.
  25. Are you trying to suggest that elections are 100% infallible? Never any recorded cases of fraud? Al Gore had his day in court so why does Donald Trump not deserve to be heard if his team can provide evidence that fraud may have occurred in the swing states? Fraud can happen by the way. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/philadelphia-election-judge-admits-to-stuffing-ballot-boxes-for-democrats-in-three-separate-elections/ar-BB14qWhl Another great column by Ann Coulter. https://anncoulter.com/2020/11/11/the-democrats-guide-to-losing-gracefully/
