I think you're wrong Jerry,there are apparently a lot of people that do care deeply for the plight of terrorists.I think many on the radical-left(or is it simply the "left"?) are deeply sympathetic with many terrorists and their use of violence as a means to an end.No doubt,the mere thought of a terrorist being detained under anything-but-Holiday Inn conditions surely brings tears to the eyes of sympathizers.I can't help wonder why those who scream bloody murder if terrorist prisoners are mistreated are the same one's who are apparently unmoved by something much more brutal,like a man being beheaded alive.....slowly.Where was the outrage from the left?!

Gee,why is everyone so edgy in here?There is nothing to worry about any more from this point on.Barrack Obama is President of the United States so I figure all the hype about him must be true.There will be no more wars,terrorists will lay down their arms and profess their love for their former enemies,there will be no hunger,disease or crime.The polllution will be no more,the rivers will flow with chocolate and the sun will shine every day.Barrack Obama is surely the greatest man that has ever walked the face of the earth,and he can surely walk on water too if necessary. I think Canada's immigration policy is a joke to say the least.Whatever tough standards that are in place seem to be rarely enforced.I believe the blame should lie with the former Mulroney government,they are the one's that drastically raised immigration levels regardless of the relative strength or weakness of our economy.Previously,it was the Liberals that had it right,if the economy was strong let more people in,if it was not,they let less people in.It made perfect sense.From a security standpoint,our immigration system is porous.How many times have you heard about skilled immigrants driving taxis or washing dishes?A reckless waste of talent that we do need.There are at least 30000 people in this country illegally and our government has no idea where they are.Only Quebec takes a reasonable approach to immigration,in that newcomers must adapt to the ways of Quebec,not the other way around.

The Liberal platform is very basic and simple.Anything they say during an election campaign can be dismissed outright.This party has a long record of lying to Canadians over the years.Remember the Red Book?You may find it in the fiction section if you look.The Liberal Party of Canada really stands for one thing and one thing only,the Liberal Party of Canada. As for the Tory attack ads,they are third rate compared to the lasting legacy of what is perhaps the most successful attack campaign of all time.And that would be the Liberal attacks against Harper,that mud certainly stuck like glue.How many times have you heard a voter say Harper is just too "scary"?Where the hell do you think this idiotic thinking comes from?At one time,the Liberals were going to run an ad telling Canadians that Harper would send troops into Quebec!Wasn't there an ad with a gun barrel pointing at tv viewers? Spare me the crocodile tears.

This is one aspect that the Left must confront sooner or later,the gay rights/same sex marriage debate.They are merciless against Christian opponents of gay marriage and at the same time they defend Islamism.Perhaps they just aren't aware of it yet,but just about ALL Muslims are strongly opposed to gay marriage and the homosexual lifestyle to say the least.It's like a giant elephant coming into the room.There will be a big conflict looming on the horizon,the Left vs. Islam.

I don't see this as a black or white issue at all.This has everything to do with a President that is perhaps the most left leaning in history.The United States has always been a beacon for the rest of the world,for those seeking a better life in the land of opportunity.Like everyone else in these forums,I'm just kind of an armchair politician/general stating an opinion that counts for little.I don't think that Obama's first 100 days have been good for the country since he is taking Americans sharply to the left.He shouldn't be badmouthing his own country in the first place.Who knows how things will be in the States at the end of his first term?I can't dismiss the fact that he is a product of the Illinois political arena,apparently one of the most politically corrupt states in the country or his association with unrepentant terrorist William Ayers.

And yet the province of Quebec makes the most effort to assimilate newcomers to be french to the point of cherry picking those that will be assimilated most easily.They have their cake and are gorging themselves.You see any hypocrisy here? If english Canada did the same thing with immigrants,namely taking more from english speaking countries,the powerful immigration lobby would be up in arms.

Could you enlighten us and explain just how Omar Khadr came to hate Canada in the first place?He lived here for some time in what would be rightfully considered to be the lap of luxury along with his family.They had at their disposal more than most people have in other parts of the world,things like the right to vote and a health care system which apparently even takes care of terrorists who want to tear the whole thing apart.They have been welcome to build mosques all over the country and promote their faith without hindrance.Canadians have bent over backwards for people like the Khadr's and yet it's not enough.Be specific and tell us exactly what it was about living in Canada that made the Khadr family hate us(that includes you my friend) so intensely. And if or when Khadr returns to Canada,he will certainly be released almost immediately given that we have an extremely Liberal justice system.Guess what he will devote himself to?

Gosh!Quebec get's 8 billion dollars a year in equalization payments?And aren't they the same province that want's independance?Hmmm,they want to go it alone but they can't seem to pay their own way while they live within Canada.

I think she'll have no problem surviving this.Like I have posted before,she is a member of the Liberal Party of Canada and has friends in high places,even if she is sitting on the opposition side.There was a similar incident a few years ago involving Judy Sgro.This man who was accusing her of impropriety admittedly was a shady character who had been successfully fighting deportation for years.No doubt he should have been given the boot from Canada long before this incident.If memory serves me correctly,he was deported soon after this affair.The Liberals are the overwhelming choice for immigrants in this country(wrongly so) but the moral of the story is,DO NOT cross a member of the Liberal Party of Canada.Do so at your own risk. Judging by the photo in today's Ottawa Citizen of Ruby Dhalla with a smirk on her face sitting beside her high priced attorney,she doesn't look the least bit concerned.The one's who should now be concerned are the nannies.

When someone is trying to kill you,you have no choice but to hit back....hard.Sadly,Israel does not seem to have this right in the eyes of much of the world.For the life of me,I can't understand how groups like Hamas or Hezbollah,who want nothing less than the complete destruction of Israel and her inhabitants,are always ahead in the arena of public opinion.

I'll wait and see how this plays out.Ruby Dhalla should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise.Don't get me wrong,I am no Liberal and in fact,I pretty much despise that party and the one thing they stand for(themselves).Given the media bias for the left in this country,I think this story will lose it's steam pretty quickly,not to mention Ruby has powerful,sympathetic friends from the provincial Liberals. I wasn't aware that her family owned some private clinics.Can we assume those clinics are run for profit?

You cannot seriously compare apartheid in South Africa to how Israel treats it's non Jewish citizens.And furthermore,these people are not merely "critics" of Israel.They want to wipe Israel off the map as well as all Jewish people outside Israel.

Tonight on FOX at 9pm,there is a special about the media coverage of the tea parties.I encourage you guys to check it out and post your comments.So far,everything I have seen and read indicates there is a great deal of media bias on this subject.Merely reporting the facts as they are is apparently not what the mainstream media is about these days.I suspect some tea party myths will be "punked"on this special.

The fact that so many Canadians are sympathetic to Omar Khadr makes me ashamed.The fact is,Omar and his whole family despise this country and everything about it,although they enjoyed the use of our health care system.This is political correctness gone beserk.Reuniting Khadr with his family makes no sense whatsoever.

The deck is certainly stacked against Harper and the Conservatives.It is very difficult to get your message out when the media is decidedly left-wing.Quebec will always be a problem for the Conservatives as well.Apparently he hasn't been giving enough money and power to satisfy their insatiable demands. Harper and Iggy are both brainiacs to be sure,but Iggy usually gets portrayed in a much better light than Harper.

I hate to find myself agreeing with "punked" but he is right,give Obama time to prove himself.To date,I don't think he's done anything noteworthy and he appears to be leading the US sharply to the left but he did win the election.I doubt that the 180 on foreign policy and his massive spending will benefit Americans and the rest of the world in any way.As for the tea parties they are just folks concerned with excessive spending and taxation.I just heard an extremely ignorant comment from one Janeane Garofalo,a no talent,liberal "celebrity" concerning the tea parties.She claims they are all racist bigots that don't like a black man in the White House. .She can't intelligently make her point or even try to use reason so she resorts to the usual method of the left,attack,attack,attack.
