  1. I would love to know just what percentage of WE's funding comes from government handouts. This organization has gotten good marks from Charity Intelligence in the past but they have recently downgraded them. From what I see of this particular charity, it reminds me of that "Up with people" kind of mindset. https://www.canadalandshow.com/whats-the-deal-with-we-charitys-accounting-department/ I don't think this will stick to Trudeau either, thanks to minimal coverage by the mainstream media. He clearly hasn't learned a single thing from his past mistakes. I do think his poll numbers will start to drop once he shows up in Parliament to face some opposition.
  2. I didn't hear the audio for that WE/Trudeau ad but one look tells me it's truly nauseating. I don't think there is ANY other leader in the world as full of himself as our Justin Trudeau. I don't hold much hope that the mainstream media will be digging into this scandal of the man that now signs their checks.
  3. A quick search says Craig Keilburger is worth from 100 grand to 1 million. Brother Marc is way ahead at 8 million. This charity owns quite a lot of real estate in Canada, over $40 million worth at the end of 2019. Who knows how much they own in other countries? Must be great to have friends in high places.Maybe everything is on the up and up with WE but it kind of smells when they get so much money from the government and then family members of high up Liberals get lucrative speaking gigs. https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-maybe-we-should-have-been-looking-at-we-charity-earlier
  4. I would swap out Bill Morneau to get Paul Martin any day of the week. Why does sustainability matter in everything except the finances of the country? This Chinese virus has hurt the entire world economy and just about every country was unprepared for it. My own opinion is that Trudeau has been far too reckless with his spending. I'm sure we all know of people collecting CERB or CEWS money and the one's I personally know of absolutely love it. I'm worried about hefty tax hikes which will surely come at some point. Trudeau is doing very well in the current polls but keep in mind he isn't facing any tough questions while Parliament is shut down.
  5. Most of those on the political left don't give a rat's ass about being fiscally responsible . Just keep spending and borrowing,no real long term vision there. Most Canadians seem to be asking only what the government can do for them.
  6. Unfortunately this story doesn't get near the coverage it deserves. It would certainly be fair game if it involved any Republican. Democratic politicians and their family members get lot's of protection from the mainstream media. It must be quite the life for Hunter, being constantly wined and dined merely because of his last name. What was that other funny thing I read about about Trudeau's massive popularity?
  7. This latest story tells me that Trudeau thinks he is above the rules and I would agree with that. His supporters,or perhaps more appropriately, his fan base, don't seem the slightest bit concerned about this newest apparent breach of ethics guidelines. Maybe they're not even aware of it. Let's face it,this story isn't going to get much exposure from the media. Think of how they covered Dean Del Mastro, for his campaign finance violation. Front page, in shackles. How about Liberal Marwan Tabbara? Assault and criminal harassment charges, barely a mention and nothing when it actually happened. The bar is set very low for Liberals isn't it?
  8. With the "trans" subject confusion is everywhere. According to Progressives there are dozens of genders! How is any average person supposed to be fully up to speed on this ever-growing list? https://apath.org/63-genders/ https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list-of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users https://dudeasks.com/how-many-genders-are-there-in-2020/ Seriously? Compounding the confusion is the apparent ability of Progressives to identify as any gender and/or race that they fancy at the moment. Will this soon include altogether different species as well? Will it ever end?
  9. https://amac.us/americas-25-worst-cities-are-democrat-led-the-answer-new-leaders/ https://quillette.com/2019/07/09/democrats-control-americas-most-dangerous-cities-so-why-do-they-keep-passing-the-buck-on-gun-crime/ https://newstalk1130.iheart.com/featured/common-sense-central/content/2019-07-30-the-most-violent-cities-in-america-are-all-run-by-democrats/ Why do the Democrats escape most blame for higher crime rates in the major cities that they control? Shouldn't their policies come under scrutiny? Black on black crime will continue to be ignored and the Media will continue to distort or omit the facts.
  10. Could you cite some specific examples of voter suppression? Do you consider something like being asked to show identification in order to vote a form of suppression?
  11. I'm pretty certain that if this arrest involved a white person instead of some Native chief, there would be virtually no attention given to this story. The Media has to spice up the details of the story and fan the flames of imaginary racism for two reasons. The Media has it's own leftist narrative to push, and they also desperately need attention for their dying business.
  12. Already this tiny Socialist utopia is asking for goods from the "outside world" because as history has taught us,Socialism has to leech off of the capitalist system in one way or another to meet it's needs. They have that sense of entitlement common to that mindset. Brainwashing is alive and well.
  13. I think the "Chief" got what he wanted from this incident in the end. If I had been stopped for an expired plate or something like that, it's my bad and I have to take responsibility for that. I would have no right to get angry at the officer or to blame him or her for doing their job. In this video, the Chief has clearly lost his temper and is acting in an aggressive manner. It's the duty of the police to stop drivers with expired plates, burnt out lights etc.
  14. Free trade was a big one. Are you saying that Free Trade came from the political Left? Have you heard the name Brian Mulroney before? The other things you listed would fall into the category of the social safety net.We certainly need a social safety net of course but not the parts that almost encourage people not to contribute to society. I'm not saying that there have never been big, beneficial initiatives from the Left either. I'll even give you one, from the Chretien/Martin government. They aggressively balanced the budget and were able to do it mainly through deep cuts in spending. Because they were Liberals they had a certain degree of immunity from criticism from the media, but that's another topic. What has Trudeau done that has been as big and beneficial to our economy that compares to Free Trade? Energy? Nope. Debt reduction? Nope.
  15. Could you list any or all of the good things done by the Left that have benefitted the economy?
  16. What is the goal of the people(large numbers of them)doing the rioting and the looting? What they all have in common is that they would all identify as progressives. They have no intention of waiting until all the facts come out on this case. It's difficult to disagree with anyone on the left because of the inevitable cries of racism.
  17. Yes they have been charged, but do you admit they all have the right to a fair trial . How about the presumption of innocence? Believe it or not but there could actually be more to the George Floyd case than meets the eye. The media has their own agenda and narrative that they want to foist on us and perhaps there are things they are omitting. https://anncoulter.com/column/ As for Stockwell Day's comments,I can't believe he resigned over that. He said absolutely nothing offensive! People can agree or disagree with him, we do have that right,at least for now.It is largely progressives that are intolerant and hateful. Judge someone by the content of their character? Hell no!
  18. Does Quebec not take enormous amounts of money from the oil industry, namely Alberta? How is that not sheer hypocrisy when Quebec leaders have always shown their distaste for Canada and especially the Western provinces? I wonder how many air miles Elizabeth May racks up in a typical year?
  19. https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2020/04/14/china-reopens-wet-markets-world-health-organizations-blessing/ https://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2020/02/18/why_do_new_disease_outbreaks_always_seem_to_start_in_china.html https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/1235088/coronavirus-latest-China-Wuhan-outbreak-why-diseases-China-news https://anncoulter.com/2020/04/01/the-bill-for-globalism-has-arrived/ So in all honesty, do you really think it's not morally right for the rest of the world to hold China to account? Or do you believe Covid 19 did NOT originate in China? Where then? What do you think of wet markets?
  20. I urge you to check out John Robson's documentary on YouTube. Very well done and imformative.
  21. You seem to be totally oblivious to the fact that yet again, we have another deadly virus originating from CHINA! Sars, H1N1,Bird Flu in the recent past. The Chinese government keeps letting this happen and fails to shut down disgusting wet markets. Perhaps now with Covid 19 they are finally getting the results they were hoping for?
  22. Biden's choice for running mate will likely be the most crucial element of the coming election mainly because that person, should Biden win, will surely have to take over the Presidency quite soon. Whoever made the point that Joe Biden is the "Weekend at Bernie's" candidate is absolutely correct. His running mate will be female of course in order to check off at least one of those progressive boxes. I think it's a toss-up now because of the effect of the latest virus from China. Sorry, I'm not supposed to say that right?
  23. So the UN wants AT LEAST 10% of every countries GDP....to start with. If any number of countries did happen to agree to this that 10% will most certainly keep climbing. I imagine a leader like Justin Trudeau is one who would be open to an idea like this. I hope this notion dies a quick death.
  24. I do believe we should take action against China but in a very measured way. China, more than any other foreign country, seeks to undermine or exert more control over every other country they deal with. Their tactics are very aggressive and one-sided. China already has an enormous amount of influence in Canada especially with the Liberals. As you already know, our Prime Minister had publicly admitted how much he admires their dictatorship. We are even discouraged from mentioning that Covid 19 ,like others before it, comes from China! We certainly can't dare to offend China now can we? https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/articles/2020-01-07/chinas-unfair-trade-practices-hurt-global-innovation-report-says https://money.cnn.com/2016/07/12/news/economy/china-trade-donald-trump/index.html https://globalnews.ca/news/5804742/chinese-influence-canada/ It would be the time to start demanding that China engage in fair trade practices with the world, and failing that, we start to do business elsewhere. We also need to do more to stop their practice of industrial espionage and intellectual property theft. I wish I could be more optimistic that relations with China will change for the better.
  25. China does not give help to any other country without strings attached and dark ulterior motives. H1N1 came from China. SARS came from China.Bird flu came from China. Does anyone see a pattern here? Unfortunately,I can't see much changing in the future after this latest virus(China) runs it's course. Wet markets will continue to operate, cheap, poor quality goods will continue to flow from China to the developed world. Business as usual. A prophetic article from 2017: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/china-ground-zero-future-pandemic-180965213/
