  1. If you know anything at all about the history of Communist countries, past or present, you should be afraid.I'm not quite sure if you are implying that Communism has in fact been successful or not. Let me know if you eventually can name one successful example of Communism.
  2. Is it possible,or even likely that most Muslim deaths are from the hands of other Muslims?
  3. So you have no problem if in fact this man still is a communist at heart? How about if he were a Nazi sympathizer?I just feel it's significant in that he holds a rather important position in the Obama administration.By the way,how many successful Communist countries have there been in human history?Has there been even one?
  4. Your comments are downright silly to say the least.Canada, perhaps more than any other non-Muslim country in the world, bend over backwards to accommodate Muslims in just about every way. And your theory that some shadowy "people" make blacks kill themselves?Please.....
  5. You're absolutely right, too much tolerance can be a bad thing. It bothers me a great deal that the Khadr family members live comfortably thanks to Canadian taxpayers. If I could,I would deport those S.O.B.'s so fast they wouldn't know what hit them. As I have mentioned before on here,if or when Omar Khadr returns to Canada there is a strong likelyhood that he will be released almost immediately given the fact we have a very lenient,Liberal justice system. He would also be reunited with his family,a scary thought...
  6. These so called health care "mobs"are rank amateurs compared to the usual suspects from the left.Last week on Glenn Beck's program ,he showed clips of the current town hall protesters and their tactics vs protests from the Bush years. There was a stark contrast in that the anti-Bush protesters did not seem to hesitate when it came to using violence. There was also a marked difference in how the protests were reported by the media.Town hall protesters are being described in rather nasty terms(Nazis, KKK,armed etc). The anti-Bush one's were described in much softer, gentler ways.No bias there huh?Journalists should focus on reporting the news rather than controlling it.
  7. On his show on Friday,Beck was talking about one of Obama's "czars",namely a guy called Van Jones, the so called green jobs czar.Beck claimed this guy was an avowed communist of all things.Yes that sounded over the top and I thought I would google the name Van Jones and see what came up.Lo and behold, there was a quote from Mr.Jones from the early 1990's "I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary. I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist". To be fair, the article says he is now an advocate of green business and market based solutions but it's not known whether at any time he came out and renounced communism or any other radical ideology like it. So don't be so quck to dismiss Glenn Beck's rants, there is more than a grain of truth in his show.If what he says is false,as most of the leftists claim, surely Beck would have to spend most of time defending himself in a court of law.
  8. Are you not capable of getting your point across without resorting to insults?Or is it because the cold, hard facts aren't on your side?Pathetic....
  9. Don't hold your breath.Left wingers never, under any circumstances admit they are wrong.
  10. I personally think FOX News is head and shoulders above the other news networks.I also watch some MSNBC and NBC and CNN.It's just like they claim,FOX is fair and balanced compared to the others. Perhaps if Obama is in office long enough and makes all of his "changes",it could spell the end of FOX News. How about an American version of TASS,the official news agency of the United States? Has Obama appointed a "news czar" yet?
  11. Do you honestly believe these people get sick that often? What are the odds that most days missed are Mondays and Fridays.Come on,deep down you know as well as I do that most of these "sick"days are not used for sickness.I work in the private sector and I get 3 sick days a year.To date,I have missed a grand total of 1 day because of illness.I go to public places like shopping malls and am exposed to the same germs as just about everybody else is.Your suggestion that the private sector should give the same amount of sick leave is totally unrealistic.productivity would fall and prices would soar, which would benefit no one in the long term.
  12. From the Ottawa Citizen,July 25th/2009:Workers in the federal public service continue to have the highest rates of absenteeism in the country, and they are shooting upwards in step with an economy-wide increase in days away from work over the last 10 years.According to Statistics Canada, last year federal employees were absent from scheduled work 16.2 days on average, between sick leave.family demands, and other reasons. This is in addition to vacation days, maternity leave and other scheduled time off. Pathetic,16.2 days of sick leave(yeah right!) missed annually. They get more time off for allegedly being sick than many private sector workers get in their alloted vacation time.If there were any justice in this country, they would be brought back in line with their private sector counterparts. This is abuse and fraud, pure and simple.
  13. Hope...............and change..............hope'n change(repeat over and over). Gosh!Now that's a great speech isn't it?
  14. Please forgive me if I come across as anti-union.Perhaps I am still feeling the effects of having been a member of the Teamsters(Local 91) for 15 years and experiencing first hand how unions can mess things up royally.Government unions are all about greed and pushing their socialist agenda, nothing more, nothing less.
  15. Whether or not honour killings are a part of the Muslim way of life is of course debatable.I think the root of the problem is in the attitude of men towards women.Too many men in this world seem to regard women as property and not as human beings. That being said,I pose this question:On the whole, are women equal to,and do they have the same rights as men in the Muslim world?Voting rights, driving privileges, custody disputes and the like? Can you honestly say the women have equality to Muslim men in all respects?
  16. "As many as 5000 women and girls have lost their lives-most at the hands of family members-in so called honour killings around the world each year, according to the United Nations. Up to a dozen have died for the same reason in Canada in the last decade, and it's happening more often, says Amin Muhammad,a psychiatrist who studies honour killings at Memorial University in Newfoundland." This from today's edition of the Ottawa Citizen,an article on page 3 by Shannon Proudfoot. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Honour+k...2636/story.html Just one you say?
  17. Economic Left/Right: -3.50 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.18 Interesting test, but some of the questions are kind of iffy.I still consider myself conservative.
  18. Her Royal Highness has over the years literally handed out tons of award to many people, many of the awards given to people that are quite popular with the public, but otherwise undeserving. For example,dope-head bed-hopping rock stars, big deal. The Queen has lot's of time for stuff like this, she's never done a days work in her life.
  19. I don't miss the "Progressives" one bit.How were they different from the Liberals?Joe Clark led that party for some time...and let's face it,he wasn't conservative at all.He would have been right at home in the Liberal Party. In some respects, even today's Conservative Party has some things in common with the rest of the leftist parties. All parties support big government and our open door immigration system to name a couple. The most hated Prime Minister in Canadian history is Brian Mulroney, but he was more conservative than most. Many years after he was gone from office,he ranks quite highly in terms of his biggest accomplishments, free trade and the GST,both of which have been beneficial for Canadians on the whole. Both policies which were eventually adopted by the Liberals. Canada needs a real Conservative Party.
  20. I think this Queen's Order of Merit award has just been rendered worthless if someone like Jean Chretien get's it.He hasn't got an honest bone in his body and he is in no way, shape or form a worthy recipient.
  21. In a nutshell, one Preadorshani Biazar,a caseworker for Ontario's Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee was arrested in 2007 and charged with the theft of $1.23 MILLION dollars from the mentally ill, homeless and even dead people she was suspposed to represent.Only a tiny portion of the money has been recovered, and she has liquidated the rest nicely out of reach of authorities. She has been at this for a period of 12 years and living the high life.Although her salary went from 50000 to 70000$ annually, she is referred to as"a relatively low earning provincial bureaucrat" complete with all the generous benefits typical of gov't positions. She may be sentenced later this year and given the fact that white collar crime is not considered a serious crime in Canada, she will likely get a slap on the wrist and be allowed to keep her ill gotten gains. Can anyone tell me why they oppose tougher sentencing again? If there were any justice in this country, she would spend the rest of her life behind bars, along with the seizure of all family assets. But that won't happen....she's probably laughing her head off. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Governme...0881/story.html
  22. Wow,he must rank up there with the likes of Bill Clinton!
  23. In this country, even people that have been ordered deported.....usually aren't deported.
  24. Sexual assault is a heinous crime no matter how you look at it.Here's a story about another guy charged with a sex crime. http://www2.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/...f5-151f63b877f8
