Sometimes looking a bit deeper than hair colour helps. If you consider the things that serve as "inducements to violence" around the world, you'll begin to see some common elements emerge; and hair colour isn't one of them. I know you were trying to make a point but the point itself utterly misses the point; and you've been missing the point for a long time now. There are places in the world where I won't go unarmed, there's a reason for that and it's based on experience. Many of us have been saying (for years) that if you choose to import immigrants from those specific locations please spend the money upfront on things like security and vetting.... it isn't money wasted. You didn't do that. We didn't say don't do take in immigrants from there, we said be careful, be cautious, and spend the money required to do it right because not doing it right will eventually cost you more. We even warned you that those costs would likely rise in lockstep with demographic concentrations and that it was something to be mindful of. We said don't warehouse people vertically in ethnic enclaves... and you did. We said be sensitive to the cultural norms of the country of origin... and you weren't. - Some folks have an inherent distrust of government, the police, military / security forces and with damn good reason. In some countries women have lower status than their teenage sons so single mothers need extra help. You ignored it all. Even worse IMO... Instead of factoring those things into the mix you covered your ears, screamed racist at all and sundry and made grade 3 analogies about things like hair colour. I could write you a book and it wouldn't matter a bit. You did none of it. You're doing none of it and you'll do none of it in the future. I fear you will continue to walk the same path that some places in Europe have walked, and in the process of doing that you will eventually create areas where even YOU won't want to go to unarmed. When that happens, you will be front and centre demanding the very draconian actions to fix it that could have been avoided if you listened with your ears instead of your mouth.2 points

Precisely what they do each time...first it was Trump would never do it..."TACO" Then when he does, it was a grave error that will end the world even though nobody wants Iran to have nuclear weapons...including many Iranians. The America haters are trying everything now, hoping something sticks: 25th Amendment, War Powers Act, ICC War Crimes, government shutdowns, Articles of Impeachment, and wishes/dreams for harm to the president. Trump just keeps on going, like the Energizer Bunny...2 points

In the movie "Gangs of New York", there was a scene where a guy said words to the effect of "You can always convince one half of the poor people to kill the other half", and that's what the Hamas-lover in NYC is trying to do: create racial hatred. He's trying to take over where Obama left off.2 points

Like other leftists, you're pretty quick to claim victory for Iran and you do it every day. You started off calling him to chicken to end Iran's nuclear threat, then you called it illegal when he did move to end it, and then you claimed moral victories and strategic victories for Iran day after day. Then when Trump demanded Iran agree to a ceasefire by 8, and there was a ceasefire by 8, you guys phrased it as "Trump agreed to a ceasefire" lol. Leftist: "Yeah, like... the dude was standing there with his fist in my face, and demanded that I give him my wallet, but I wasn't afraid. I looked him right in the eye and said "Take my wallet, mofo!", and he agreed to it 🦾" FYI this is only a temporary ceasefire, and Trump has already shown a level of dedication to ending the nuclear threat that you couldn't possibly have missed. It's not every day that the leader of a country is killed in a war. And then his replacement. And then his replacement, etc. And most of their generals, and other leaders, and the bulk of their military and defence systems... Can you name another world leader killed in a war, by a foreign country, in the last 100 years? Trump's pretty serious, and there's clearly no one in Iran that he won't kill to get his way.2 points

Yes...I've seen several of his videos before in my algorithm feed and he has one foot stuck in the past while predicting/lamenting the future. But he is right about one thing...change is coming/inevitable, but we don't need YouTube videos to know that. Globalism had its chance with both Neoliberals and Neocons at the helm in the U.S. and Europe...it has failed, causing economic, political, social, and cultural fractures. Well, looks like 77,302,580 did in November, 2024. Are they all "not normal" ?2 points

Iran is in control of the Strait of Hormuz. The regime is still in charge. USA can’t even open the straits without Iran’s help. That’s a huge strategic defeat for USA. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/german-war-expert-iran-ceasefire-093733573.html2 points

Thats right my Canadian friends. The United States customs and border patrol now requires you hand over your electronic devices ( phones, smart watches, tablets) if requested before you will be allowed into the U.S. This is what the U.S. has become. Our Constitution? Donald could give a f_ck less. Now, I cant wait to hear the absurd excuses the red hats on this forum will drum up. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjk-LCw4NSTAxWOEEQIHTAOIyAQFnoECDAQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thetravel.com%2Fcanadians-warned-over-cbp-phone-search-non-compliance-after-device-list-expansion%2F&usg=AOvVaw2SVMues1Ed3aeYxLxw2AxP&opi=899784491 point

Dear Gawd, Sir...I know that you've entrusted us with our own free will. But sometimes we fail to instil proper and creative values in some among us. I'm not sure if this is a symptom of neglect or a genetic mishap. But...may I ask that in cases of extremely destructive tendencies, that you step in and perhaps...send these destructive souls back to the oven? They are obviously only half-baked. Thank you for listening Lord. A concerned human.1 point

Let's review what President Bill Clinton had to say about Iran and nuclear weapons...over 30 years ago: https://www.c-span.org/clip/white-house-event/user-clip-pres-clinton-to-aipac-1995-iran-is-bent-on-building-nuclear-weapons-i-thank-you-for-long-history-of-calling-attention-to-irans-campaign-of-terror/4544995 No, I think my country should eliminate the regime with extreme prejudice.1 point

He is a known quantity with a certain view and following...and that's fine. His history is short on dynamic context and circumstances that thrust American power to the fore in the first place. The Cold War is over, yet the EU wants to maintain the status quo for guns and butter spending ratio at America's expense. That can't continue for several reasons. Trump is not the first president to point this out, but he is the first to do something about it. Doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results is the definition of insanity. The next 50 years will be different by design...it is a feature, not a bug.1 point

@John Stone @John Johnston @LinkSoul60 @bush_cheney2004 I follow Peter Zeihan, a conservative geopolitics analyst. He's not infallible and admits mistakes, but it doesn't stop him from opining on complex and unpredictable outcomes. Here he talks about the implications for the next 50 (!) years. Take with a pinch of salt but such content invites discussion not moral judgement or even assessments of accuracy. What thoughts can we add to the facts presented, is what I find interesting.1 point

That's how all North American auto factories work. AI: "Parts for American auto manufacturing primarily come from a tightly integrated North American supply chain, with Mexico being the largest source of imported parts ($81 billion in 2023), followed by Canada. Significant components also come from Japan, South Korea, and China, especially for electronics and specialized materials."1 point

Secure the border. Don't encourage people to think they can come from South America and easily stay here. Yes, you literally ignored the crime in this thread. You keep lying like the dishonest coward you are by saying immigrants when we are talking about ILLEGAL immigrants.1 point

Stop illegal immigration. We don't allow prostitution because legal prostitution creates victims. We don't allow drugs because drugs create victims. Why should we allow illegal immigration? Illegal immigration creates far more victims.1 point

Not everyone 'gets it' like you do... Ever stop to think that exports are meant to lessen trade when a country puts significantly high tariffs on another? We had a 6% decline in exports to the US past year and an increase of 17% to non-US countries last year. We'll get normalized with the US whenever that may be, but we need other partners, obviously...1 point

No, you're mad, shark lover! I'm not mad. It's just a really stupid thread. Like creating a thread about how someone with red hair committed a crime and thinking it's a good argument to ban people with red hair. The logical fallacy (well, the biggest one) is called misleading vividness. There are criminals in any population, but criminality is actually lower in immigrant populations. Find a better argument.1 point

Biden was worse. Just look how sideways the US and the world went while Biden was asleep at the helm. Obama was far worse. His calculated statements caused racial violence and disharmony not seen since the 1950s.1 point

Always the same response from you. Beware hanging your hat on one facet of multifaceted intelligence assessments, especially if it's the one that best fits your narrative. Always best to consider that your narrative, your hopes, your vision, and your preferred outcome isn't governing... it just isn't how the world works and it doesn't matter how many times you repeat it. Reality is what it is and it doesn't care whether you like Trump or not. Any intelligence assessments released via open source reporting should be looked at cautiously. That doesn't mean they aren't real, it just means (potentially, I say likely) that the one you got to see was one of several in existence, not necessarily the one most likely to be true. I look at those as being IO tools, then I cancel the flashing MASTER CAUTION light and start looking deeper, thinking that perhaps something else is afoot... that's just me BTW but expecting simple solutions to solve complex problems is usually wishful thinking at best. Apply it to warfare and it will eat your lunch and kick your a$$. Yes indeed.... Infrastructure may have been obliterated but it's likely that most of the material was moved (IMO of course). There was too much build up for that not to have happened, too many bagpipes playing and none of the drones were properly tuned. The regime in Iran may be evil but they aren't stupid. And here's an undeniable fact to consider... no one here actually knows what the real current assessment is. And, on the off chance someone actually does, you won't hear a thing about it, not a single post, not a single utterance, not a peep. They will read the paper, they might even read your post.... then they'll laugh as they wipe their a$$ with it. As soon as you admit that you know you don't know, a world of possibilities awaits. One of them stands out in my mind and I keep asking the same question to no avail... here it is again: I'd submit that in the absence of US participation that Israel would have acted unilaterally, maybe not on the existing timeline but it would certainly have happened. Do you think that would have been better? I'll go first... I think it would have been orders of magnitude fuc%ing worse for reasons that could easily fill an entirely new thread. This action has caused some economic pain to be sure but (IMO again) it pales in comparison to what it might have otherwise been. There is and was little in the way of good options here. Later was worse than now, unilateral action was worse than combined, and waiting for a "coalition of the unwilling" to form would have proved unlikely, ungainly, ineffective and ultimately ill advised. You need only peruse the comments here to see why I think that. I know full well that I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that history will eventually have its way with this and I bet the story will have a few surprises when all is revealed.1 point
