Nine people killed, 27 injured in Tumbler Ridge mass shooting | Vancouver Sun Obviously details are light and subject to change but it appears that an unidentified female has killed nine people and then shot herself for 10 total dead. Some are critically injured. Most of the shootings happen at a high school but not all of them. There's no word as to whether or not the shooter was a teacher or a student Pretty freaking horrible. We'll see as more details come out what happened here

The search engine is saying the shooter is Jesse Strang. The perpetrator has been identified as Jesse Strang, a transgender individual who began identifying as a woman around 2023. If the shooter was of a conservative mindset, then they would somehow blame Conservatives and tie them to MAGA. A horrible tragedy for the country.

There's a pretty consistent pattern of Trump throwing people under the bus as soon as they catch heat. No matter how close they are, if someone gets caught, he suddenly doesn't know them and they are bad people. He expects total loyalty, but it's a one way street. Better question: If Trump knew about Epstein's crimes and abuses, as he clearly did, why didn't he get them shut down? He had the knowledge, money, and power, and chose to just let the predator continue victimizing girls. That alone makes him complicit, but the reasons why he chose to let the "party" continue are likely far darker.

As I said, the left takes no pride in our history or the accomplishments of any of our forefathers. They would rather see that history erased. They would refer to anybody who was proud of their European past as being Colonial and anybody who is proud of their canadian history is being racist. Everything you are and everything you have is the culmination of the people that came before you plus whatever you put on top. Canada was founded and built by European nations including France germany and Britain and the number of other countries. Looking at their accomplishments and their roles in what would eventually become Canada combined with our own contributions is something that normal people would take some pride in. The fact that you take no pride in it indicates either that you're so egotistical that you think that nothing anybody did in the past contributed to who you are today or you think Canada is not something to be proud of. Given many of your comments I suspect the latter. This really wasn't complicated. Most people understand that they Built what they have today on the top of the efforts of people that came before them but apparently you consider those people to be worthless and not worthy of your pride. A third party said that Trump both knew for a long time and then finally contacted the authorities once an investigation was open. Neither of those is a good thing for Trump. With the shooter dead getting to the why is going to be really hard. We don't do enough to promote mental health in this country although we're certainly better than a lot of others. It'll probably take a better part of a week for all the details to come out and before we can get a clear picture. But I agree with you that trying to get to the bottom of why this happened trying to prevent it in the future is critical. There were probably signs, but the people around this person probably didn't know what they were looking for or how to deal with it if they saw something concerning I don't know that this person transitioned yet. They only came out two and change years ago, it's possible that they started hormone therapy but that's not clear. It's actually an interesting question.

So for the record there is ZERO evidence that the shooter is trans or has anything to do with trans and nobody has suggested that. But you know what I find even more funny? Whenever someone mentions gun control in wake of a tragic shooting the right wingers are like “now is not the time to politicize this tragic event you shameless ghouls!” But they don’t miss a beat to start spreading misinformation and rhetoric about Trans , Muslims, immigrants etc and calling for drastic reforms before the bodies are even cold. We know there are members of parliament and the senate who work for China. CSIS told us as much. Their own behaviour tells us as much. Nothing has been done about them whatsoever. The Liberals continue to delay implementing even the threadbare legislation about foreign interference they eventually, grudgingly, kicking and screaming all the way, had to pass. Which in itself tells you they're very much aware of how many Liberals would have to be placed on it, including their former prime minister, and likely their present one too.

When things like this happen, the thing to do is try to figure out why. Society is filled with people who have mental/emotional problems who don't get treated. That is a major issue. A subset of that is the way we coddle people. If your delusions are never challenged, despite you being aware on some level that they're entirely fictional, that's just going to cause you further mental health problems. Men who think they're women need mental health treatment, not affirmation. And the way we're encouraging this in children is disgusting and disgraceful and certain to encourage more of this.

I am also Caucasian and neither proud nor not proud of it. I had no choice in being born one race or another, so how can I be proud of that? That's like being proud that the sky is blue. We can be proud of our accomplishments in this life, but pride in what someone did 500 or 1000 years ago, just because they had the same skin colour as us? That's a stretch.

I'm proud of the efforts of every person and culture a contributed and eventually became part of what Canada is today. And that goes back thousands of years. One way or another a whole bunch of people did a whole bunch of them amazing things and eventually built up cultures and technology that allowed them to come here and create this country. Then even more people moved here and helps build this country. Obviously having pride in your country is something you feel is weird. No shock

It would be even better if Canadians were allowed to hear about the extent of Chinese interference. The Liberals are doing everything they can to prevent that from happening.
