  1. Since it was a European commission meeting with Trump and Zelensky, not much explanation should be required. Canada wasn't invited for probably the same reason that Australia and Japan weren't. 🙃

  2. The assumptions are endless, but here are 3 biggies. 1. Everyone should make the same money 2. The government should be able to determine a maximum and minimum amount people can earn. 3. Income disparity must be The result of something nefarious. It cant be hard or smart wwork. Of course, the op doesn't set any criteria to determine if the income disparity is unfair. So, we can only guess. Further, the charts and numbers are virtually meaningless. They amount to "People who are rich, have more money." Kind of a "No shìt Sherlock" moment.

  7. Maybe this is just a Twitter rabbit hole I've fallen down, but there seems to be a social media movement in the US to abolish Property Taxes. https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/1957220344621679045 The idea is that once you own your home you it's like a rent you have to continue to pay. Unlike Cable, Internet, Water, Hydro, Gas, Condo Fees (if applicable)? 🫤 Property taxes are some of the most useful taxes a citizen in the West can pay. They pay for snow removal, police, fire, EMS, libraries. AND Schools! Americans have really lost the plot on this. Is a country that spends a billion dollars on defense quibbling about paying taxes to fund a functioning community. I don't see a movement like this in Canada. We must have more sense . . . right?

  8. Exactly. So what? I like this guy already! Read on: "In my experience, much of the public has splintered into tribal positions on climate change: We either believe increasing CO2 (mainly from fossil fuel burning) has no effect, or we believe it is causing an existential crisis. There are a smaller number of individuals somewhere in the center (climate independents?) But there is a lot of room between those two extremes for the truth to reside. Among other things, our report presents the evidence supporting the view that (1) long-term warming has been weaker than expected; (2) it’s not even known how much of that warming is due to human greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions; (3) there are good reasons to believe the warming and increasing CO2 effects on agriculture have so far been more beneficial than harmful to humanity; (4) there have been no long-term changes in severe weather events than can be tied to human GHG emissions; and (5) the few dozen climate models now being used to inform policymakers regarding energy policy are not fit for purpose...." https://www.drroyspencer.com/

  9. Income inequality refers to the uneven distribution of income within a population, meaning some individuals or groups earn significantly more than others. This creates third order effects such as affordability due to the high leverage of the hyperfinanical lending system. Those with more money can jack up the prices because we can print more money faster than natural means of production say growing crops or building new apartment buildings. Demand in effect out strips supply.

  12. Oh rest assured they'll continue to find ways to nickel and dime us. Fuel charges that take ages to be removed when prices go down baggage charges etc. If our cities were spread out like the USA, different story. More feeder airlines, competition etc. Used to like flying to Vanc on Central Mtn Air, little Beechcraft. 5 mins more airtime w props but landed at old airport. No lineups, pilot emptied the baggage. $99 vs $199-$299 at the time. Also remember bizarre PWA jets flew Vanc to Prince George then hoppedd back to Quesnel 100 miles, then Williams Lake 100 miles... geez barely got altitude could see the treetops.

  13. Please write a short negative rant about Mark Carney, from the perspective of a conspiracy theorist ChatGPT said: Sure — here's a short fictional conspiracy-themed rant about Mark Carney, written in a satirical and exaggerated tone typical of conspiracy theorist rhetoric. This is not a factual representation and is for creative or entertainment purposes only: Oh look, another Carnage cultist crawling out of their taxpayer-funded hole. Tell me, comrade — how does it feel worshipping a man who’s never been elected to anything? Prime Minister Carnage? Give me a break. He was air-dropped in by his WEF puppet masters to fast-track Canada's fall into the globalist abyss. Even chatgpt knows you're good for nothing but entertainment purposes. Everything you write is just another recycled word-salad of conspiracy slogans and catch phrases. You don't appear capable of original human thought. 🤡

Enjoy your next few years of lieberal Marxist woke bullshit. PP will be doing the same thing that Trump is doing in America. Cleaning house of all of your criminal lieberal buddies in Ottawa. Long overdue indeed. 🤪

  17. Except I just showed you that they can and they do ban people from the woods, sometimes in large areas... If the point of contention is that the ban is over the entire province, keep in mind that: 1) NB is 1/13th the size of BC and doesn't have nearly the diversity of geography and climate that BC does. A province-wide ban in NB would be like BC restricting access to one of their biggest forests. 2) BC is much more accustomed and prepared to handle forest fires, with significantly more infrastructure, resources and experience dealing with them.

  18. Binding arbitration doesn't actually remove the right to bargain. Both sides bargain before an arbitrator who then decides what is fair. It does remove the right to strike or lockout. Mediators are just there to help the process along, not impose a settlement.

  19. That is what I am getting at. Its like starting a thread saying the left was right about gravity. Then making some muddled commentary on gravity. Like... the fact that there was income inequality is there for all to see... so what exactly was the left, right about?

  20. What's telling is the lack of progress since March followed by an immediate settlement in the face of an unanticipated "real strike." Had the government not intervened, and had AC known up front that it wasn't going to, the strike wouldn't have happened at all IMO. In essence, I think that's what people who blame the government are saying and if so, I tend to agree. AC's tactic here was to use negotiations as a delaying tactic to maintain the status quo (on a 10 year old contract) as long as possible and go directly to arbitration when that tactic eventually failed. For them, the threat of strike action was really no threat at all... until it was. Pretty hard to argue that the collective bargaining process is alive and well under those circumstance... I think.

  21. Arbitration is not taking peoples rights away. How can you argue the end result after only 9 hours of negotiation with that arbitrator?

  29. Even then buddy. And in this case no one's even going to try to claim airline stewards are an essential service. If they meet all that, all they can do is fine the union. Of course they could have. Hah hah now all the other airlines are going to have to cough up too. Carney Libs ended a shit work practice that should've been illegal.

  30. It sounds so communistic to me when you say that the government wants people to snitch on their neighbors. If there is anyone that i despise the most are the people who will snitch on their neighbors. And what is with this imposing of a fine of $28,000 on anyway who violates the trespass law. A fine of $28,000 is going a bit overboard, don't you think. There is a Nova Scotia citizen who on purpose defied the law and went in the woods just to get caught. He got caught and was issued a $28,000 fine. He did so to be able to take it to court and challenge the law. I hope that he wins. This also happened during covid where people were fined around $5,000 because they would not fill out the Covid App. What is with all of these heavy fines? Bloody ridiculous, i say. ☹️

  31. We just had an election in Alberta and the conservatives now have a capable leader named Pierre Poilievre who will be taking his seat in parliament and ready to take on the dictator in Ottawa very soon. PP is going to make your dear leader look like a total buffoon once he can get talking. PP will now be able to show Canadians as to just how corrupt the lieberal party really is. Carnage days of a free pass are over. Carnage will have to face a real and true conservative leader. It will be fun times ahead when parliament opens up in September. It will be popcorn time. LOL.

  34. Eccept at least with covid they had the thin excuse that it came as a surprise and they didn't know what they were dealing with. Nobody in Canada should be surprised that we're going to be having forest fires and that activity might be higher There's just no excuse for it. I see they're letting people that live in the woods that actually cook and use fires in the woods to live stay in the woods So if you're walking in the woods that's a major offense worth $28,000 fines, but if you're actually living there which is more likely to cause a fire you're good. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 I assume that the logic is that the forest won't catch on fire for homeless people based on moral grounds.

  39. Pierre's speech was really, really good. I love the part where he said that when you care about something you don't give up on it. He then went on to tell the story of a woman undergoing cancer treatments showed up at his rally to tell him to keep going and how he told her, "You don't give up, so I don't give up." That's the kind of fellow we need leading this country!

  40. Pierre... Is that the guy who lost his riding in Ontario and had to travel 2,000 miles to buttluck Alberta to find one? Only cost taxpayers ~$2M because he couldn't win a riding he had for 20 years, but assuming that's money well spent 😂

  42. He's already promised Putin he'll veto NATO admission. He's already throw them under the bus. He's met Putin and discussed Ukraine without them being present. Under the bus #2. He's repeatedly spoke of land swaps and concessions. Three times under. Stalled and threatened to end arms supplies to Ukraine. Fourth time. Need a bigger bus to throw them under or it doesn't count? Obvious Putin told Trump they're not giving an inch and these utter clowns are praising his "success". F*ck that noise. Wheedle and whine all he wants it's Ukraine's decision not his.

  43. I told you. Peace at any price is a solution for pussies. And NOT a US decision. Calls Norway to tell them he wants a Peace Prize. Like a WHINEY BABY. Then f*cks up the chance he has by acting like a limp wristed pansy to Putin so bad his own staff is so shocked their eyes pop out and they can't even speak. Hey Vladimir! Why don't YOU hack and release the Epstien files? I hear Trump & Epstein had a contest to see who could nail Princess Di first.
