  1. As the saying goes “that which is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence”. You didn’t state anything specific that could be addressed. You stated your OPINION (which once again you mistook as a fact) and made no specific reference to anything would support it. LMAO uh no. Holding everyone accountable to the same standard ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT mean that if one person is able to get away with a crime then other people have to allowed to get away either the same crime. Especially when the alleged crime has never been proven anywhere and only exists as conspiracy theory promoted by person’s political rivals LMAO !!!!!! Ok buddy That’s you tired old generic excuse whenever Republicans behave badly. “The Democrats/ liberals did it first” is unprovable which is why you like to use it and the claim that Democrat / liberal misdeeds are worse in scale than republicans is also fundamentally unprovable especially when we look at what’s actually been proven in a court of law not unproven conservative internet conspiracies. As an example the conservative claim that Trudeau taking ONE ride in the plane of a lifelong family friend as he has since childhood is the crime of the century but Trump being gifted a lavish Boeing 747 for his personal use is no big deal Do you not see how biased you are?

  2. Canada has an arson problem. From the 250 churches being burnt down, to various businesses and buildings, to deliberate brush fires being set, Canada has an arson problem. And this government's response to it is to curtail rights. It's their answer to everything, the only tool in their toolbox. They used it during covid, they're using it now. They do it because it's easy. They're lazy and stupid.

  3. You get it. I realize this is quite a long interview that we just did at work, but if you skip ahead to about 45:10, the discussion gets interesting. At about 51:00 - Bret talks about "turnkey totalitarianism". "The key to a totalitarian regime is to erect it without activating it. So that at the point that it gets activated, it's too late to do anything about it.......Any time you see them target your rights - whether or not those were rights that you were using - you should be alarmed. You should fight it."

  5. I hate Nazis. I don't hate progressives, I just think most of them are extremely unwise, naive, and cowardly, and have thus ruined many aspects of our society. But I can't hate naive fools just for being ignorant, they usually mean well. But you know what they say about good intentions... I think many on the left are victims of moral bullying from the more activist progressives who are often dumber than rocks and then spread their pseudo-intellectual diarrhea on humanity and then call everyone racist and sexist when they don't go along with it. Remember communism? Oopsies! Maybe shoulda thought that one though more carefully. The only reason communism didn't take over the West is because you couldn't bully people into compliance by calling them racist or sexist or homophobe when they disagreed with it. Many progressive activist types suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect. College kids who read a few articles or take a course and suddenly think they're experts who have the wisdom to change society in their image. I know this because I was one once. Most (not all) social change should be slow and extremely well though-out. Younger people want everything *now* without thinking through the consequences of their actions. The cost-benefit analysis isn't done properly. This is largely why society is in the shape it's in and is having most of the problems it's having. From Trumpism to housing....it's all rooted in this. Progressives since the 1960's have completely f*cked us over with so many of their bad ideas that people took to the extreme and now we're seeing the consequences in every aspect of society. Birth control pills? The sex revolution? Legalizing divorce? Safe abortions? Kids growing up in childcare? Recreational drugs? Social media? What have been the consequences of these ideas, especially when taken to the extreme? What are the most liberal cities in North America? Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco? And what do we see? Suburbs lined with broken homes filled with drugged-out kids addicted to smartphones. Sounds like Kurt Cobain, minus the iphone. The voice of a generation. Asian families DO NOT behave like this. There's 1.5 billion Chinese and 1.5 billion Indians to prove that, and they're taking over the world while we rot away. You wonder what they think when they move to these west coast cities of debauchery. And they're not soft on their kids like we are. They demand better. What's the lesson here, from time immemorial until now? You don't let children rule the roost. And it doesn't make me happy to say this, but you don't let women either. The patriarchy, for all its ills, at least survived, and in fact allowed the west to become #1 in the world and built everything we have. WE THRIVED. This isn't anti-female, they're no less important, maybe even more important, because when women convince themselves they need to become like men instead of embracing the feminine then society collapses. Many feminists are anti-feminine. Since many young liberals don't even want children anymore (women are men now, remember?), progressives will be all but extinct in a few generations. Replaced by the more conservative attitudes of immigrants from more traditional societies. Survival of the fittest. Darwinism always wins, in a way Nazis never wanted 😅

  8. Brandon proved to the entire world, how inept and cowardly he is. "As Mr Biden left Dover Air Force Base after meeting families who had just received the bodies of their loved ones from Kabul airport, one woman screamed: “I hope you burn in hell! That was my brother!”" https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/afghanistan-kabul-blast-marine-father-killed-b1911989.html Brandon was an abject failure at everything he did. Well...the weakling got his "minor incursion" alright. A complete failure.

  10. After growing up around Vancouver the first time I visited Prince Rupert in a light rain, tourists were asking my son and I for directions as we were wearing just light windbreaker jackets... a few days later there was a washout on the highway and we were stuck in Rupert for four days until the road opened. A few years ago we went there again and passed through fire zone after fire zone until we passed Terrace. I also remember trip after trip in the 1970s to Long Beach and it being as soggy as Rupert all the way 90% of the time. Same with the "Sunshine Coast". Now Port Alberni's under evac alert and Sechelt is years into drought....

There’s plenty to criticize Trump about, but this isn’t one of them. Especially considering the last administration didn’t lift a finger to try to negotiate peace. Just like with the southern border, you had your chance to do something, but did nothing.

You want to pretend that vax-fascism was benevolent and beneficial when it was clearly unethical, immoral, harmful, shameful, greedy, and even wicked.

  18. If you police the roads then your policing who is getting into or out of the woods. I see it all the time here in BC, it's not complicated. If you want to cut down on arson you make it so that people need a permit which they can get online in 5 minutes outlining the area that they're going to. And the dates that they're going to be there. The cops catch someone going to or from that area without a permit fine. Fair game. Now you've got a list of people who are in the area Let's be real, an arsonist is going to get back there and start a fire even if there is a ban in place. So let's not pretend that there are people out there who are thinking to themselves "Gosh, I really want to start an illegal fire and cause Mayhem but I really can't because the government said I wasn't allowed to go into the woods". So what's next, leaving your home is a privilege not a right? Leaving your neighborhood is a privilege not a right? They're incorrect. According to the constitution canadians have the right to freedom of travel and this came up during covid when they tried to lock us into cities and say you couldn't travel between provinces or even within your own province. In the end of the cops refuse to force it because indeed we do have a right and it would be up to the government to prove that it was absolutely necessary to interfere with that right and there was no other way around it. Denying people access to the woods where there is a fire could easily be justified as they're being no way around it. They can interfere inadvertently with the efforts But just banning people from an entire province before there's even a fire is an absolutely horrible precedent and it shouldn't be hard to figure out why.

  19. But I didn't say it was an absolute right did I? I said things like rights. And you don't decide these things based on polls. Highway use can be restricted as well for various reasons. But it would be draconian if we started restricting access without a valid reason and fining people absurd amounts of money. And there is no valid reason. First off, no one is a potential fire risk for simply going into the woods. I could go into the woods today and guarantee I am not going to start a fire. I simply don't ignite anything, right? Or I don't toss a glass bottle out there. (I suppose I could spontaneously combust). So it's not that people in general are an actual fire risk. They aren't. It's that some people either a) do malicious things or b) are careless. And everyone else is being punished because of what they could potentially choose to do. Not because they are any more risk to do so than anyone else. Now I could possibly start a fire intentionally or I could do something careless which results in a fire. That is a possibility. But people can endanger lives recklessly anywhere. You can kill someone by drinking and driving. But you don't restrict road access for everyone because some people choose to do dangerous things on the road. And we don't fine people 25 grand when they do those stupid things. Someone who chooses to drink and drive is more of a danger than someone who decides to walk in the woods, unless that person does something additional which is stupid like smoking back there. Simply going in the woods is not a risk. How is it reasonable to fine someone 25k for doing something that is not a risk because they could potentially choose to do something else which is? That is insane. We rarely fine people that much when we know they have chosen to do stupid things. As for the emergency response thing, it is total BS. There is no way around that. If you are worried that people getting hurt is a drain on emergency services, then why should it matter where the injury happens? If you wanted to stop people from injuring themselves you would restrict them from doing activities most likely to cause injury, not that that is a good idea either. I've seen more people injured playing sports than I have ever seen while hiking (which is zero).

  21. You bet? What kind of an argument is that? I live in NB, it's been tinder dry for most of the summer, and at no time did I hear anyone complaining that the government wasnt banning people from the forest or fining people 25 k. I have heard people complaining about people having fires or doing careless stuff. As for lack of an emergency response, I go hiking and never once have I been injured and seen anyone injured. If lack of an emergency response were an issue why not ban cycling or skateboarding? Why should it matter whether its in the woods or not? If emergency response is an issue right now why would it matter where you are being injured?

  22. EVERY time a gov't steps on people's rights, almost without fail, they declare an 'emergency' first. Basically freedom dies in 'crisis'. That's because you're mentally unstable and somehow I've arrived at the decision that the government is the only body or organization that can possibly successfully tell people how to live their lives while simultaneous ly managing to blame the government for most of the ills in the universe. I'm afraid your challenges are Beyond the skills of the people here to solve. You are definitely into the professional help spectrum

Personally though I fail to see why self-driving cars don't come equipped with a bar. What do you mean I need to pay attention to the road, who's driving the car again?

They're not feminine, how is it womanly to dance in the streets publicly because a medical company executive got shot? How is it nurturing to be angry over the fact that the guy who shot at trump missed? The left is irrational, the left is ideologically driven, and the left is anything but feminine. The left is a coalition of mental health issues And you've been a lot more on the left recently than you have on the right that's for sure I swear to god i'm going to pay a diseased hooker to roll around if your bedsheets if you keep that up!

  29. Yeah... but the details on the treaty the US ratified are being followed today. Folks can show up and claim asylum, and the US has standards they apply to determine the merits of that claim, quickly process those folks right back out when they can't show credible cause for fear. If they can, they can be quickly processed through immigration court and then deported when they can't back that up, and if they enter unlawfully and don't promptly report to some place then we don't have to presume they have a credible claim and can expedite their removal. Folks like @blackbird try to dishonestly make it seem like anyone can show up anywhere anytime, stay here for 20 years illegally, and just because they say "asylum" then the US can't deport them, ever, no matter what. That isn't how it works.

  30. Strangely accurate. Was that an accident? Nah just sell the losers who need it for medical experiments. we get MORE money instead of having ours stolen, their poverty issues go away, and we get medical advancements we can use to have better lives! Win win win! If you just give poor people money they'll still be poor tomorrow except now so are you. Then who do you steal from?

  32. But we're not using the logic of banning people from driving cars, we're using the logic of keeping people out of tinder box woods for their and others safety. I agree with it, but I didn't put the ban in place so you're complaining to wrong guy. But all the complaining aside for a minute.... has not being able to go into the woods or on the water this past week been manageable and not causing too many problems I'd hope? I don't know your government well, but trust they're not on a clear path to authoritarianism, or are they...?

  33. The left focuses on helping minorities and the disadvantaged. Admirable, but how they frame things is flawed. Their kindness is often led by naive assumptions. Just because someone is a minority, or weak, doesn't make them virtuous and worthy of help. I'm not saying hungry Gazans don't need some food aid right now, they do. Netanyahu has gone over the line. Most progressives are racists and cowards. They hold racist double-standards and don't have the courage to hold people accountable who are seen as disadvantaged....because they're afraid of their peers calling them racist for it even when it's not. Progressives bully each other over nonsense, and thus remain in a state of delusion and enabling. Speaking the truth is one of the things worth risking offending people over. It is better to stay quite or lie and keep friends, or be correct and truthful and lose some? Sometimes people need to hear the truth even when they don't want to hear it.

  37. Here's my big problem with it. This isn't about government safety this is about government using overreach to compensate for its lack of competency Everybody has heard about global warming. Every single government everywhere in Canada at every level is aware that we can expect more serious fire seasons from time to time. So what did they do about it? What improvements did they make to deal with difficult fire seasons? Their job is to protect people and allow them to go about their day and enjoy their activities. Do they improve forest fire fighting capability? Did they offer courses or anything to teach people about how to be in the woods? Hell they could have introduced a free permit system so at least they knew who was in the woods and where but people could still go in the woods if conditions were dry. Did they do that? No they did absolutely nothing even though they knew this was going to happen. And now they want to pretend that it's a crisis that needs immediate resolution that involves curtailing people's rights to use canadian land. So what we're doing is authorizing it's authority if it doesn't do its job by removing our rights to the activities their job to make sure we had access to in the first place. That is an absolutely horrible precedent to set. The government can ban any activity instead of doing its job and making sure those activities are available.

  38. Well, I'm not a Christian so this doesn't work with me. Manipulating empathy is a psychopathic tendency and a hallmark tactic of the left. When your "empathy" or permissiveness becomes a liability to other people's safety, you are the threat.

  39. Here is the thing these raids and people getting caught up in them wouldnt happen if these blue cities and states didn't say they were sanctuary for illegals. Most times they are after a hardened criminal but have to raid their place of work because the police aren't allowed to tell them where they live nor will they tell them when they get out of jail. They were warned this was going to happen due to their stupid policies and when it does they are feigning outrage and surprise like they didn't see it coming.

  40. All those nice things offered to illegals that should not have been allowed to enter Canada freely and illegally and get to stay in Canada at Canadian taxpayer's expanse. Do it the right way. Tens of thousands of Canadians have no homes to live in. Illegals are better served and looked after than our seniors and veterans. Those illegals entered Canada illegally and they must be deported to their home countries now and stop wasting hundreds of millions of our tax dollars on people who do not belong here or deserve our tax dollars. It's time for some tough love for a change in this gawd forsaken stupid dam country full of lieberal buffoons and bullshit. One illegal is too many. I demand a moratorium on immigration. Works for me. 😇
