  2. The polls are saying a weak Liberal majority: https://338canada.com/ I think the Liberals will win. If so I hope a minority. PP has ran a really bad campaign. You've got to be a brain-dead fool to run on a Trumpian "Canada First" election slogan in a country that hates Trump more than ever, and also promise to use the notwithstanding clause for the first time ever for the feds. I agree with "Canada First" in principle, but just don't use a Trump slogan if most of the country hates the guy FFS. I think Trump cooked the CPC's chances and PP didn't do anything to quell the fears of Canadians that he's pro-Trump.

  4. Well the CPC was polling in the mid-40's until Trudeau stepped down. Some of that support went to the Liberals, none of it went to the Bloc or PPC. I agree a big # of NDP and Green supporters went to the Liberals when Carney came on. If I were PP i would have distanced myself from Trump in any way possible, not painted "Canada First" in giant font on the side of my campaign plane. There's other ways he could have expressed his stance on prioritizing Canadian interests more (which I 100% agree with) without copying a Trump slogan. He also copied Trump's policy of defunding university research grants that are woke. I'm as anti-woke as they come but PP has to understand the message these things send to a country where many fear Trump and Trumpism. The Trump campaign strategy won't work as well in Canada as it does in the US. I think Canadians want change, but they also want a PM who will best stand up to Trump. That's why the polls are so split IMO.

  5. Michael Chong and Erin O'Toole aren't chuds. Nor Mitt Romney. You're just assuming I'm a Liberal supporter because I'm not a Trumpster like yourself. Again, anyone to the left of you is a leftist LOL. I was literally defending conservatives in my first post in this thread you fool. I really don't care what you assume I am. Have fun.

  7. ^Look at inEstiNe talking about reasonable, intelligent discussion. 🤣 And as if that wasn't enough, the illiterate twerp actually said "(and intelligible)", then followed it up with this balderdash: You already know the truth, all of and final of it and the only problem is what others don't see or wouldn't accept it. It's like English is your second language but you learned it from reading napkins. Honestly, your posts should have to be in the Crayola font from now on, so that people don't waste 1.3 seconds figuring out what an id10t you are.

  8. This was predicted at least 30 years ago. If all the world's ice melts, sea levels will rise 216 ft. That doesn't include rise from thermal expansion which depends on water temperature and accounts for about half the sea level rise over the last century. I leave it to the individual to decide whether that would be a problem.

  14. Socially engineered demographic change is a far greater existential threat to Western civilization than man-made Climate change ever was. Liberals are guilty of the former. Things will only devolve & divide further as we approach tipping point. Millions dead, societal collapse within our lifetimes.

  16. Nope! Carney's polled close to 50% favorable and sometimes above. Poilievre can barely hit 40%, with the unfavorable percentage growing to upwards of 60%. https://angusreid.org/all-down-to-e-day-carney-poilievre/ Net favorable of +13%, vs net unfavorable of -20%. Ooof. Don't worry too much though. The CPC still has a chance here, in spite of their creep leader. As I've said before, if the Liberals win, it'll be because of Carney vs Poilievre, and in spite of the Liberal record. Take the Leaders out of the equation, and the Liberals are down to 28% and the Cons are up to 40%. If the Conservatives win, it'll be in spite of Poilievre. That doesn't mean you have to take down all of your posters though. You can still worship the guy if he loses.

  17. When we have a bunch of liberal appointed leftist lieberal activist judges on the bench, what else can we expect but more breaks for the accused, and less breaks for the victim. With the mentality of a carrot, to the lieberals, right is wrong and wrong is right. And then we wonder as to why Canada is so phkd up. 👎

  18. Oh he'll call it something else or he will just double down on the taxes being charged to industry. If he charges twice as much to all of the industries then we'll pay more but we won't see it and at least 40% of Canadians are too stupid to realize They still pay a carbon tax

  19. You brought it up again, you donkey. If you want to respond to my last post in that thread rather than tuck tail after clowning yourself as you did, bring it. I'm always game to watch you make a fool out of yourself, as you're doing even here. These unhinged, spastic rants where you insist on fantasy re-imaginings of your past humiliations, however, are useless. Nobody reads them. Nobody even know what you're talking about except me, and I'm just laughing at you.

  20. He said he was sticking around if he loses. Who knows? Not you or I. PP has never had a job outside of barking slogans and insults at opponents. Good at it? Maybe if what counts is riling up the base, but judging by the fact that the majority of Canadians don't like him and he seems poised to lose what should have been an unlosable election, I'd say that's up for debate!

  21. Treated... by whom, how? It seems you are just fine with letting a known violent person back on the streets, trusting that they will self-medicate all on their own. Prison is not just punishment. It is a place where people are held to keep the rest of society safe from them.

  22. Oh, would you look at that... The cowardly little twit came back but still can't answer the basic questions about his hate speech, which still remains unsupported by a single fact. Where's the vandalism, dingus, aside from on some Teslas, by left4rds? Where's the rage and vitriol? Who has said or done anything beyond the pale from this side of the aisle? What personal attacks are you referencing, stupid child? And FYI you're not supposed to use the underline feature to disguise your id10tic comments as hotlinks to websites which support your bogus claims. You can bold, italicize, or change size or colour for emphasis, but don't pretend to have a cite, which is something that left4rds just never have. Bottom line, your snotty little invective is 100% unsupported by even the attempt of a supporting fact. All that you have here so far is hate speech. Grow up. Man up. Tell the truth for once you slithering loser.

  24. Well that's the question. It is long been known that there is often a difference between what people say to upholster and what they do when they're actually staring at their ballot. Carney is a Rich international banker who avoids taxes that should go to the poor. Are they really going to put their ex beside a liberal name knowing that? Maybe, because they hate the conservatives. Then again maybe not. But yes, the left currently is driven by hatred and bigotry. We will have to see if that hatred for conservatives is stronger than the hatred for rich industrialists who don't pay their fair share of taxes Well if you drill down a bit there's still in east-West divide even in that age range. And I think what you're seeing Is that people over the age of 65 in Ontario feel very strongly about the liberals. And they like Carney, he's a somewhat corrupt elite globalist who talks up social isses, he's exactly what they normally like to vote for. But we'll see. I think the youth may come out and vote this time.

  26. I wouldn't go past this. If you were interested in a reasonable, intelligent (and intelligible) discussion, it would have been stated very differently. You are very obviously, not. And that's representative and indicative of the problem. You already know the truth, all of and final of it and the only problem is what others don't see or wouldn't accept it. So it has to be sold to them or forced on them under any guise and/or by any means because you already know that you couldn't be wrong. Yes, this is the problem.

  27. You must be aware that a man assaulted a woman tourist in Vancouver and tried to kill her a couple weeks ago. He was arrested and released right away even though he attempted to murder the woman. You must also be aware this is because of the Liberal government's laws on bail that enabled the guy to be released on conditions. How is it possible in a civilized country that a guy can attempt to murder a woman and be arrested and immediately released on bail? Yet you think pointing this out is "negativity, rage, wild groundless accusations...etc."?? Canada's legal system is a complete disaster and not protecting society.

Disgusting personal attacks against politicians and even against their family and children. There was a time when any normal individual would have rejected it outright with disgust but not anymore as it seems. Thanks to who? - you. None of you denounced it, not as much as noticed. You know what and I'll say it in all objectivity: you and those like you are worse than those who do it, in some plane of reason. Why? Because they cannot exist without you, your tacit and smug support; but you sure can, just find yourself another puddle of raging liquid mental sh*t to wade into. See?

  30. Some of the psychiatric science of 30 years ago is ow quackery. Some of the psychiatric science of today will be considered quackery in 30 years. Some psychiatrists call other psychiatrists quacks today, and maybe they're both right sometimes. Who knows, some of it might come full circle and change sides again. I get that there is a lot of knowledge out there, and there is no doubt constant progress, but I think that times change and psychiatry is always changing. Two things spring to mind: life changes constantly, and I think that the kids of today, whose minds were formed while playing iPads instead of hunting frogs, are probably quite different from the kids of 80 years ago the philosophy of legalizing drugs but getting users more involved in society so that their dependency lessened, which allegedly worked in Portugal 20 years ago, probably doesn't work anymore in the age of fentanyl. I'm no expert so I'll shut up now, but long story short, I consider psychiatry a thoroughly inexact "science". And I understand that's just a layman's opinion.

  34. Chat GPT: a perfact example of just how unintelligent artificial intelligence still is: "Did Mark Carney lie to Canadians about Brookfield: "1. Brookfield Headquarters Relocation Conservative critics assert that Carney misrepresented his involvement in Brookfield Asset Management's decision to relocate its headquarters from Toronto to New York City. They point to a December 2024 letter where Carney, as chair, endorsed the move and recommended it to shareholders. However, Carney later stated that he had no role in the decision, claiming he had resigned from the board before the formal vote in January 2025. This discrepancy has led to accusations of dishonesty. ^Chat GPT just lied.^ It's not a mere "discrepancy", it's a complete discrepancy between the truth and his portrayal of events. Fact: Conservative critics didn't "assert that carney misrepresented" anything. They proved that he lied. Full stop. "Carney stated that he had no role in the decision" - yes, 100% The Brookfield board unanimously voted to move Brookfield to NY on Oct 31st while Carney was its chairman, months before Carney left. The move was announced on Nov 1st 2024, months before Carney left. In no way shape or form is that "no role in the decision", so he 100% lied. The naked truth is that he said that he had no involvement but we was not only involved, he was the absolute leader of the charge. There is not 1 single person on this planet who played as big a role in moving Brookfield's HQ as Mark Carney. In addition to Carney's lie about whether or not he played a role in moving Brookfield's HQ: Carney also lied about his phone call to Trump. Carney also lied about helping Martin balance the budget in the 1990s. Carney also lied about the extent of his role in helping Canada avert a recession in 2008, vastly exaggerating his own role and understating the roles of key players above him. Carney not only lied about the fact that he met with the JCCC, he slandered the Globe and Mail when they called him out for it, saying "You can't believe everything you see in the Globe and Mail." Everyone on this site is fully aware of the fact that Carney is the biggest liar in North American politics. No one has ever told bigger lies than him, except maybe the Russian collusiontards on CNN. And there's not a single leftard here than can find an example of Poilievre telling even one lie that compares to any of the top 5 lies on Carney's laundry list. That ship has sailed herbie, you can take your disinformation elsewhere, child.

  36. What "topics" are mentioned in the OP, ret4rd? You said "look at the topics here" in the thread title.... What topics, ret4rd? You've just made diabolical accusations against a massive chunk of the population for which you have provided absolutely ZERO proof. FYI in England people actually go to jail for spreading hate in a far less egregious manner than you just did there. Or, excuse me if I missed it, but what "proof" did you even provide to back up the alleged topics that you didn't even name, ret4rd? Where's the "cesspool of negativity, rage, wild groundless accusations and pure distilled hatred" that you referred to? Is it a "cesspool of rage" to point out that Mark Carney is a serial liar, whose most consequential statements to date have all been proven to be 100% false"? What's wrong with telling the truth, ret4rd? What change would conservatives make to this world that would make it more dark and dangerous? Can you name it, ret4rd? Because I can name several changes that left4rds are making that make the world more dark and dangerous: forcing young, healthy adults to take experimental medications which they don't need dividing citizens into two groups based on false medical (political) determinations and then providing one group with a gesundheitspass so that they can ostracize the other letting violent re-offending criminals out onto the streets who end up harming other innocents bringing in hundreds of thousands more people than we have created shelter for, making it inevitable that hundreds of thousands of people here end up homeless spinning fabrications of mass-murders of children by Canadian citizens, not bothering to even investigate them for years while the accusations are inciting violence and destruction within our communities, and racial division is growing, and then lying about the level of evidence that is finally gathered (as in Rosemary 'Lying b1tch' Barton's recent statement about the existence of unmarked mass-graves Can someone put that ret4rd back in his cage, and unplug his mom's computer?

  37. On the contrary. There are many good reasons to vote for the conservatives. Of course there is plenty of reasons why many Canadians are in rage and have a negative feelings. Just look as to what the lieberals have done to Canada in the past ten years. Corruption, a .60 cent dollar, high inflation, high food costs, crime is rampant, attacks on our rights and freedoms, More taxes, more government. What more can be said for starters. If you want more of the same, then vote lieberals, If you want less of the same, then vote conservatives. The problem with people like you is that you listen way too much to the CBC which has always been anti-conservative, pro-lieberal. But what else can we expect from an outfit like the CBC that survives on the government teat. Not that Global and CTV are any better. They are also being subsidized by the Canadian taxpayer's. What chance do the conservatives have with having three tv stations stacked up against the conservatives. 3 against one is not fair. Disgusting indeed. 👎

  38. Nothing of the kind. Rather, I'm describing a political and ideological entity based on objective and factually verifiable acts and statements of its members. Its leaders never distanced themselves and publicly denounced acts of rage and hatred. Then, on the individual level, one has to make the choice of either disengaging from it - that may include a publicly stated position or just staying away from anything related to it, ceasing participation and any support; or assuming a part of responsibility for every act that it inspires or directs and the consequences of it. What one cannot do in such situations is to pretend belief in some ideal, pure vision of the thing while silently condoning if not participating in what it does in the reality. This is not a choice that is valid logically and morally. If one isn't standing away from it, they will be sharing responsibility with it. This is how it worked and will be, always.

  42. The US constitution doesn't specify that due process is only set aside for citizens. But you bring up a good point. The narrative that non-citizens can be shipped off to a gulag without due process is an excellent reason to stay away from the United States. Which is a big reason why their tourism sector is tanking.

  44. Trump is not dumb. He and his advisers know Carney and the Liberals would make it easier to rip off Canada because Liberals have proven they are incapable of managing the economy or finances. The Liberals have wasted billions of dollars and will continue to do so. Trump knows that. Why do you think he is making all his comments that help Carney? Of course he knows he is helping Carney. This is a no-brainer.
