In 2020 when we are all saying Joe wasn't capable, it's because we knew he was the guy we saw on stage tonight. Unbelievable. What a farce. That guy is not the president right now. He's not even Joe Biden anymore.4 points

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-says-biden-will-nominee-amid-dem-panic-over-debate-performance The Trump campaign declared victory shortly after the showdown ended, saying the former president and presumptive Republican nominee had "delivered the greatest debate performance and victory in history to the largest voter audience in history, making clear exactly how he will improve the lives of every American." "Joe Biden on the other hand showed exactly why he deserves to be fired," Trump campaign co-chairs Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a statement Thursday night. "Despite taking a week-long vacation at Camp David to prepare for the debate, Biden was unable to defend his disastrous record on the economy and the border." They added: "President Trump is spot-on when he says that if Joe Biden is too incompetent to stand trial, then Biden is too incompetent to be President." And for you crybabies who are so delusional that you might think Joe won, a LEFT WING BIASED CNN POLL says otherwise. The CNN poll posted on air showed that 67% of debate watchers felt that Trump had won the debate, compared to 33% who believed that Biden had won the debate.4 points

Well this is on CNN's coverage page right now: Looking at the social media feeds around the country it seems pretty unanimous. Biden NEEDED to win this. Badly. And I think it's a pretty clear loss. He looked weak and near death and he sounded monotone with zero energy and he looked confused much of the time and a couple of times when he looked down for a while i was wondering if he fell asleep. Trump is slightly ahead in the polls right now - i think we're going to see that gap widen. I don't think a lot of biden voters will flip to trump - but i do think a lot of them will stay home election day.4 points

I've watched a lot of debates. Biden really needed to win this one for a variety of reasons, but he needed to put a few things to bed and one of the most important things to put to bed was that he's not too old to run the country. Trump did not speak as well as I thought he would. He was kind of all over the map and it's very obvious he does not practice before these debates. But Biden just looked terrible. He frequently got confused, he looked like a pale ghost compared to trump who looked like he had color in his face. Biden often look like he was struggling to stay focused. Biden was reacting to trump through most of it, trump frequently used his speaking time to come back to a point that Biden didn't want to talk about and gloss over things that Biden did want to talk about and in that way he controlled the flow of the debate. It just wasn't a good night for Biden. He needed to knock it out of the park and really look like he was alive and competent and knew what was happening around him and it just didn't happen that way. I don't know what was wrong with his voice especially at the beginning but he sounded like he was having trouble even speaking properly, like his lungs were gravelly or something. Neither of them did particularly well on policy and such. According to trump everything was great and was the best and the most perfect when he was president and the most terrible and most awful and we've never seen anything like it for Biden. Which is what trump does. Biden got confused and didn't really make any hard-hitting points. He often made references which were so vague I'm not sure anybody else would get them. I frequently found myself straining to try and think of what he might be referring to. I think I have to give it to trump on points rather than a spectacular performance. But Biden just looked like he was at death's door. I don't know who did his makeup but honestly an undertaker could have done a better job. Let's put the pail old guy in a light colored outfit, comb his white hair back, and then leave his skin pale as ivory. That won't make him look like a ghost or anything. I don't think that's doing anything positive for biden's polling numbers. I don't think it's moving a lot of swing voters over to trump either but trump is looking more presidential than Biden did by a hair. And Biden needed to win this and he just didn't3 points

Overall I think the debate was a short-term win for Trump, but possibly a major turning point in getting Democrats to more seriously push for another candidate. If somehow Democrats can capitalize on this moment and pivot to a new candidate, the thanks would go to Trump's willingness to do this debate. Meanwhile, Trump didn't really do much to improve his own image in terms of competency, honesty, or not being a wack-job. You'd think standing next to an impaired Biden would make you look good by comparison, but no not really. After Trump vs Clinton and Trump vs Biden, and now Trump vs Biden again I'm really ready for ANY halfway good candidate for either party.2 points

I am friends with a local Democratic Socialist Professor, big Biden supporter, and his Facebook feed was enough to tell me how this went. He started by saying he would cover the debate tonight and that anyone following him should be prepared for political commentary. It never came. About 20 minutes in, he made a comment of despair... at 40 minutes in, he said he was going to bed and couldn't watch it anymore. All of his left-wing friends were in despair over how bad Biden looked. What a train wreck for Biden.2 points

You are INSANE if you believe the US is in "total collapse." Unlike Trump, Biden passed an infrastructure bill which is so great, RepubliCONS who voted against it are real busy taking credit for it. The ONLY political adversary who is being targeted is BECAUSE he has NO RESPECT for the law. Grand Juries INDICTED him and a real jury CONVICTED HIM. YOU MAGA CULT are TRYING to destroy the justice system, but it's doing ITS JOB.2 points

https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide/national-deficit/ Trump's last two non-covid budgets, 2018 and 2019, both had massive job growth, pay growth, increases in take-home pay, etc, and the deficit was less than 1T both times. Biden's last deficit for a full year (2023) was 1.7T, a whopping 70% higher than Trump's.1 point

Yes: it's a factual, accomplished failure and there's no reason it had to be like this in the leading, till now, democracy of the world. Under-performing and self-absorbed versus a patented liar and crook is not the choice a great democracy deserves. The political system has failed the country. It did not live up to, failed its duty and responsibility to produce the best candidates, capable of leading the country on the basis of her traditions, principles and the Constitution. The situation here is the factual evidence of the failure. Citizens are left in a dire conundrum, the choice between an unwanted and outright impossible. No, it shouldn't be that way. A failure. One of the qualities of a great leader is the responsibility and vision, the ability to measure and gauge personal ambitions against the good of the country and make the right choices. It failed too. The ambition prevailed and it wasn't the best choice for the country. From here, the future of the great democracy of the past is in her citizen's hands. It has to be assured, and the political system that has failed needs to be fixed and renewed. A formidable task and not at all assured of the success. People can do away with their democracy, it happened numerous times in history. It is only a choice and a relatively easy one. Keep it going, on the other hand, is a work, effort and responsibility of free citizens. No promises or guarantees were given here.1 point

Lol...LIBBIES...Trump is now kicking a55. Brandon is now faltering in plain view. 1 more term of Trump to begin straightening out this mess the Democrats have made, and then... DeSantis? Enjoy the election boys and girls.1 point

the invasion of ukraine? The attack on israel? The attacks on shipping by iranian proxies? the threats to taiwan, which produces a large hunk of US military chips? That's enough stuff for any 2 term president - biden's only been in 3.5 years.1 point

Nato got stronger under trump, not weaker. The dictators stayed in their corners and behaved themselves, and ran amok as soon as biden showed up, Trump did the only mid east peace deal in many decades and iran behaved. And putin didn't invade anyone while trump was around. LOL - i get why you feel the need to lie about it like that. I mean biden's record abroad is so utterly horrible that you would naturally feel compelled to try to make trump's look worse just so biden didnt' look THAT bad. but while there are many negative things you can point to during trump's time the simple fact is his economy was good and his foreign policy was mostly effective. Neither can be honestly said about biden. And that's the facts ya checker1 point

The only political system that failed is the Democrat party. The Republicans got a choice and whether you like it or not Trump is their choice. Democrats got no choice it was all Biden even though they KNEW he was going to have problems. We have all been watch him stumble and bumble his way around and we all know how people feel about the economy and immigration right now. It is never really the best candidate it is choose puppet A or choose puppet B. I am sure they can prop Biden up for another 4 years a la Weekend at Bernie's and keep the government humming along. Doesn't matter who is President the writing is on the wall on what the policies will be.1 point

I kinda feel bad for Joe just because dementia is a terrible disease for the person and everyone around them. Normally in that case the family would step in and get them some help. Take away the keys and unplug the stove for the safety of them and others. Democrats, however, have given him access to the nuclear codes. Wild times1 point

They are both lying. I've seen their swings. I'm an actual single digit handicap golfer and neither of them is close. Both are probably closer to 18. That was the point. It was ridiculous for them to lie about golf. Who cares? It has nothing to do with anything. But you had to simp for Joe. Did you find any women claiming to be raped by their sister yet?1 point

I have been following a lawyer defending J6 defendants for the last year + now and he made this prediction a while back and was one of the ones making this case to the Federal Judge in the trials he was in... but they all kept ruling in favor of the government here. This is exactly the kind of vindictive lawfare this DOJ has been engaged in, where they have been trying to find any obscure law they can to push and stretch it as much as they can to trump up charges even more on people. Glad the SCOTUS knocked this down. This is exactly why I am 100% on board with Trump turning the DOJ over to be this vindictive to the political left now.1 point

Excuse me, but a cold doesn't cause a person to get LOST in the middle of a thought. Unelected Joe was about as sharp as a marble. He rambled on and on and LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP called him on it every time. It's likely the easiest debate Trump will ever have participated in his entire career. And to their credit, the CNN mods kept their extremist left wing Nazi opinions out of it, and just let the candidates have at it. Joe couldn't debate his way out of a paper bag, and he was getting no help last night. And the Nazis SPENT AN ENTIRE WEEK PREPPING that pedophile for this? I believe we saw last night evidence that the Democrats should NEVER be allowed anywhere NEAR the presidency. The one time party of JFK has now become the party of Adolf HItler. Putting him on stage was elder abuse.1 point

What is this word salad? Israel was not created by the 1948 war. Israel came to be... and then Palestinians and the neighboring arab countries went to war against them. You can't sit here claiming the subjugation that came AFTER Palestinians started a war is the reason for the war.1 point

lol...there were no such people as "Palestinians" until the 20th century. You should try googling the population of the region during Ottoman rule. It became a barren wasteland with under 200,000 inhabitants at the beginning of the 19th century. The regions population only started to increase dramatically after World War I, when the British allowed tens of thousands of Jews to migrate to the region, and it flourished with economic activity to such a degree that Egyptians, Iraqis, Syrians, Lebanese, and other Arabs flooded in, essentially more than doubling the Arab population from 1917-47. Most of the so-called "Palestinians" are people that migrated from various regions of the Middle East in search of a better standard of living, and had absolutely no connection to the Holy Land prior to the 20th century. It would be like saying the only British, French, Irish, and Scottish people are the only real "Canadians",. since all other European groups came after Confederation.1 point

If you're arguing the numerical advantage of Russia's munitions, how is it a moot point that a large portion of them miss their target and turn out to be duds even if they hit? That's the exact opposite of moot. If # of artillery shells was the determining factor of the war, it would be over already. The reality is that Russian equipment has always been garbage. It was garbage during the Cold War, and they've only fallen further behind. Combine that with the fact that Russian training, leadership, C&C and intelligence is all dogshit. Look back at Summer 2023, when Russia was losing artillery systems at a 4:1 or worse ratio, despite firing 7x more shells per month. A lot of it has to do with public perception and Vladimir Putin's info ops. The slow-roll nature of all of the equipment being donated has been a direct consequence of limp escalatory threats from the Kremlin, and prevaricating on it here. The Red Line has been feebly threatened by Putin, but continuously pushed by NATO, over and over. We call their bluffs, but it's an agonizingly slow process. First it was long range artillery, then it was tanks and AA systems, then it was cluster munitions, then fighter planes, then permission to strike within Russia...the piecemeal nature has been tortuous and costly. Arguments like the ones you're making here, however, are actively making the situation worse. It's the narrative that Putin is pushing - and you're buying into it and the negative feedback loop it leads to. The situation is hopeless, so we might as well stop supplying aid, which makes to situation worse, making it seem more hopeless, and so on. I'm not sure you really have: Man, look at all that progress Russia's making...they're advancing daily...from one blade of grass to the next.1 point

Publicly approve of terrorist acts is too vague and could covers a wide range and not specifically defined. Those laws may be acceptable in Germany which was under Nazi rules 70 years ago but not acceptable in Canada. If I support armed resistance against Islamic Republic or Taliban or ISIS would it be considered as publicly supporting terrorist acts? I do support public trail of those who actively finance or associated with recognized terrorist organizations like Hamas and Islamic Republic (IRGC) but not a wide range of undefined terrorist acts. So the answer is no as in my view unless those terrorist acts are well defined, it would endanger our democracy.1 point
