  1. End of the term in late July. AKA, as long as they can drag it out, cause the justices running the court now are trying figure out how to protect Trump from the consequences of his CRIMES.

  2. In many ways I think it's completely irrelevant what Trump does. He's an awful human being, and that won't change one way or the other based on a trip to Rikers for contempt of court. (As much as I'd love to see it.) Probably what's more important is what Trump's supporters make of the situation. They've spent months convincing themselves that he's the victim of some legal witch hunt, that he's being persecuted, when in fact his crimes are pretty plain to see. But here, in this case we have an almost scientific experiment. Isolated from politics and even from the gorpy facts of a criminal indictment, we have a judge issuing a plain as day instruction. And it's incredibly basic: don't make public statements about witnesses, jurors, court staff and their families. This is standard stuff for reasons that everyone understands. The judge has been clear about it. Trump was warned multiple times and continued to violate. He's been fined multiple times, and continues to violate. And the judge is begging him to stop, so that he doesn't have to put a past and potentially future president in jail. But the question for Trump supporters, who can see the clear and repeated violations of a simple court order taking place, whether they will finally hold Trump responsible for his own dumb actions, or whether they will try to blame the court for trying to enforce a basic point of law. It's a lot like dealing with a toddler. They will push boundaries until they trigger the ultimatum. As Trump seems likely to do. Will his supporters finally acknowledge that the toddler was at fault for willfully violating a plain, simple and fair directive? Or, like the toddler, will they blame the authority figure for imposing consequences. Should be illuminating either way--but I have my guesses. lol

  3. Scared populations are malleable, it's a tool... there are even courses in managing / exploiting it. Fear serves as a catalyst for predictable action and it's easier to deploy it with soundbites (or word of mouth in smaller venues) than it is to retract with facts, logic or even admissions and apologies from the authors for having done it. The "NS wolf scam" is a case in point, it was entirely accidental but it truly makes me laugh every time I think about it. People who knew about the information release (not realizing it was fabricated) and heard recorded howling on loudspeakers saw wolves behind every bush. Here there be wolfs... some of the comments are cute too. In a different (but similar vein) spotting / ignoring trolls is analogous. When you see sentences starting with WOW and/or ending with LOL it's usually, not always of course but usually troll spoor. It's a literary device used to motivate a response, usually an aggravated response which is hastily created, often in anger. That angry response is then referenced and used to generate further responses. It's done on purpose and they do it for the same reason information management professionals create, deploy, and harness fear.... because it works. And it works because fear and anger always create an inducement to respond, it's usually an ill-advised response BTW that can then be harnessed/subtly modified for redeployment. Once you recognize it for what it is, "smiling and ignoring" it becomes relatively easy. Ignoring the bait, staying on point, and talking around the distraction generates a mirrored form of frustration in troll territory and sets the stage for personal attacks to draw you back in. My response to those personal attacks is simple too, sign the waiver and step onto the mats or see yourself ignored.

  4. LOL, the ASPCA has killed far more dogs. They hoard their money in investments and offshore bank accounts. There have been numerous stories on how they have hundreds of millions in money hoarded away, they pay hundreds of their employees 6 figure salaries while giving 2% to 7% to animal shelters. The ASPCA. LOL What next, PETA? They kill dogs like they were Hitler enacting a final solution.

  5. The fact you feel the need to lie to try to make your point already demonstrates you don't have a good point. Why millions? Why not trillions? I mean, if we're making up fake numbers that aren't remotely possible why not bazillions? And sure - it was about a dozen people who were vaccine hesitant. That sounds about right. And for sure we risked killing quadrillions of people if those 12 didn't get the jab. Give your head a shake boy WHO put the 'Herd Immunity" level at about 60 percent, and then revised it up to 70. We would have hit Those numbers without forcing anyone. And the vaccine prevented serious illness so those who were at risk would have chosen to get the jab. In fact - there's no evidence at all that it would have saved even one life. Especially when you remember the jab did in fact kill people. Soooooo. You're a few million off of the actual death toll that doing the right thing would have cost Typical leftie.

  7. It really doesn't exist. This is a falsehood in your mind that you maintain for two reasons, 1) - it gives you an excuse for your desire to take away property from others. "Oh they didn't REALLY earn their money, it's just that they knew the right people". That justifies you stealing from them and hating them 2) - it excuses your own failures. "I could have been wealthy too if i'd just had access to the right people" And yet when a paid lobbyist like Khan unlawfully bribes the prime minister and has him over to his island for days - you not only refuse to condemn it you actually repetatively pretend it never happens repetitively despite being hand fed the proofs regarding it. Sorry kid - your failures are your own. It's not who you don't know - it's you.

  8. I think it is pretty clear on this forum WHO has dismissed what hamas did...and instead use deflection on what Israel is doing now... 7 Oct was nothing more than a massive terrorist attack, carried out by cowards of Hamas, and regular Palestinian people who joined the fray...They attacked Israel soft targets unarmed women, children...That's got to be something to be proud about, or on the other side of the coin harden others decisions that Hamas and those that support them have to be eliminated by ANY MEANS. You and I do not get to tell israel how long they can hand out retribution for this cowardly attack...we have no skin in this game...Neither do most of the protestors here in Canada, Israel set out goals before there invasion of Gaza city, one was to totally destroy Hamas as a terrorist organization, to kill or capture all of its members, but also to dismantle Hamas capability to wage terrorist activities against Israel... Thats what is happening right now.... Do you think Hamas did not already know what the israelis reaction was going to be before the outset of their terrorist attack's......And yet the did it anyway...how can you explain that ? These attacks were to provoke Israel into just this situation knowing that Hamas had already won on the propaganda war...And the globe would would shout Israel down...

See, all you woketards have to do is call off the witch hunt, and this all goes away. But that's not what you woketards want, is it?

  12. "Lower than it could have been" in what timescale? lol Those things usually sit for a decade(s) before they are developed. Look, this isn't hard. Q. Has the net domestic production increased or decreased during Biden's time in office. A. It's increased. Dramatically. To record levels. Ergo, Biden did not reduce supply and could not have increased prices through a reduction of supply. You are very simply wrong. You're trying to make excuses for it, but they are really very silly. Just learn something and move on.

Sure, he's all of the things I said (and more) but you don't mind as long as you can "stick it to the other guys!" Fine for sports fans, I guess. But critiques of the government of the most powerful nation on the planet should be more thoughtful than a game of hockey. And you are not now, nor have you ever been educated or thoughtful about any of the things about which you spout off. I'd suggest you STFU, eat some delicious Timbits, drink your precious beer and leave politics to the grown ups.

  15. You are spreading misinformation and/or lying. Not only has there NOT been reduced supply, domestic oil production under Biden is at record highs, higher than at any point under Trump, even. There was a production crash during the pandemic (under Trump, FYI). People stopped driving, so smaller producers went out of business and larger producers shuttered less efficient wells and platforms. Workers were laid off and went on to other things. Trump also negotiated with OPEC to reduce supply and support artificially high prices. And then, when the pandemic was over, and demand picked back up, it simply takes longer to spool up production than to shut it down. And demand (prices) have to hit stepped tipping points to justify re-staffing and restarting facilities. And the US producers were actually faster in recovering than a lot of the global players. With record domestic production, it's literally--by definition--impossible for Biden to have reduced supply and increased prices. What you folks forget about is that oil is a global commodity and our domestic gas prices aren't determined by our domestic oil production. Global demand is higher than global supply (relative to times of lower gas prices). Our domestic producers may be pulling more oil from the ground than ever before, but they are exporting it into a high-demand global market, so our domestic gas prices remain elevated. None of which has anything to do with Biden. If you want Biden to "fix it" you could ask him to ban oil exports and keep domestic glut of energy for ourselves. We'd have extremely low prices in no time. But, you know, "big government." Pick your poison.

  18. I have been there. I have lived there. It's not hyperbolic. You could pick up the phone and randomly dial any number in that town, and any adult who answered the phone (from whichever side) would know exactly what you're talking about. One decent person's "reputational risk" is a deplorable person's mark of quality. 100 years of " reputational risk" didn't solve the issue, but the Civil Rights Act did. Protective legislation did. And at any rate, demonstrably successful legislation and the resulting civil cases are in no way exclusive of reputational risk. It's a certainty that the cake shop was review bombed by people on both sides of the issue. Ultimately, we've had 50+ years of protecting minority access to places of public accommodation and it's worked. The difference is night and day for minority groups trying to live and function in this country. We can look from the past to the present and see how dramatic the change has been.

  20. But the examples are not hyperbolic. That was just real life in the US before the civil rights act. Those examples are exactly why the law was passed, and why such cases still matter. 🤷‍♂️ Funny that you mention Idaho, I actually had a different, larger Idaho town in mind. Moscow, ID is home to the University of Idaho (and not much else of note). It's a population of about 25,000. But it's been targeted for takeover by an insane ultraconservative church/cult. This has been brewing for many years, and they've actually made an alarming amount of progress toward their goal and have a massively outsized presence, having executed coordinated takeovers of many local businesses and commercial spaces. It's a problem already, but without legal protection, what is life going to be like for minorities in this town as the takeover continues?

  23. Untrue. I have a low opinion of fools. And those protesting fall into two categories, the Muslims who reflexively hate Jews, and the fools. According to these people Israel is a uniquely evil state, the worst by far on the face of the Earth. What other nation-states are currently being widely accused of genocide, of deliberately targeting women and children, of war crimes, of starving people, etc.? Where are the throngs of people out marching because of the way China treated its Muslims. If Israel put Muslims in concentration camps for retraining these people would lose their collective minds. The UN says Sudan is the worst crisis in the world and none of them give a damn. They're not protesting because they care about people dying. They're protesting because they hate Jews. Or because they're left-wing twats. I meant the universities don't have investments in Israel.

  27. Sigh. A. The former intelligence officials didn't say it was Russian disinformation, they said it bore the hallmarks of Russian disinformation--warning the public not to buy into it immediately. Which is, frankly, good advice for something crazy like the laptop info with such a sketchy provenance. Remember that even the NY Post authors who wrote the story thought it was too sketchy and refused to put their names (their reputations) on it. That's how unvetted it was. B. Those ex-officials were not in the FBI. They were retired. And, as far as I can discern, not a single one of them was retired from the FBI. So there is no connection to the FBI at all. Let alone to "the Democrats." The FBI also being run by Republicans--Trump appointees, no less. You're just throwing crazy conspiracy accusations at the wall. C. And even if your nonsensical conspiracy theory were true, which if very clearly isn't, judging it cheating would put you in the position of judging that the FBI interfered to help Trump win office in the first place with Comey's October Surprise.

  29. Are you on glue? 1. Most of that was unintelligible, 2. when all of those people cheered for Oct 7th, they just proved that they are pro-genocide. This whole scenario that's playing out right now is a result of SEVENTY FIVE YEARS OF ISLAMIC ATTEMPTS TO COMMIT GENOCIDE GAINST ISRAEL. It's ongoing. Groups like Hamas, which you openly pimp, are not shy about talking of genocide against Israel. You just block it out because your confirmation bias makes islamic state look open-minded. Do you think that muslims haven't been trying to commit genocide for the last 75 years? If so, you're either ignorant or stupid, most likely a mix of both. Then again, there's also the possibility that you'll just lie when you answre that. In any event, I don't expect to see anything intelligent in your reply. God you're dumb. The difference here is that Israel will win regardless of how loud and long they advertise their intent to go in. What they're doing is letting the whole world know that the civilians in Rafah have had every opportunity to get out of the way. Anyone who dies is a victim of Hamas, not Israel.

  30. My general stance on the 2020 indigenous railroad blockades, trucker convoy, anti-Israel protests, and all other protests are consistent: illegal actions during protests should not be tolerated and the laws should be enforced, including fines/arrests if they won't stop. My level of personal support for their causes is irrelevant to their breaking the law. The reason why i'm the harshest on these anti-Israel protestors is because there's quite a number of them all over the US and Canada on video chanting and cheering support for genocide, mass murder/rape/hostage-taking, and ethnic cleansing as well as engaging in ethnic discrimination. This is not comparable to being illegally parked and honking horns to annoy people.

Since virtually none of the convoy folks were chanting Nazi slogans or brandishing Nazi symbols etc then generally no. Were a few of them Nazis? Probably. I think I saw one or 2 people with Confederate flags, though they were in a pickup truck, not a big-rig, so probably outside agitators. Were there some far-right folks among the convoy? Yes i'm sure there was. That one guy sounded like a nut, and they stopped some guns at the border. 4. I'm objectively against pro-genocide pro-terrorism supporters and racial harassment/discrimination. Are you against those things? Or would you prefer to stay silent about them? You seem to have a strong opinion on my comments, but no opinion of protestors supporting and calling for more Oct 7 events and ethnic genocide. But go ahead, sit on the fence and claim "objectively". Would you have done that during the civil rights movement in the 60's too or during the WWII holocaust?

  41. Of you want to know what the left is doing, just listen to what they accuse the right of dping: "Like Alexander Hamilton, we live in an age of fierce loyalties that make crossing party lines extraordinarily difficult. If anything, it is even harder now, especially for Republicans living with social pressures, media echo chambers, and a cult-like party culture compassed round, in the words of John Milton. Many public figures in the GOP have shown that they cannot break free of partisanship even in the face of rank criminality." Of course, I could be projecting as much as this guy. Sonlets dabble in a little bit of logical thinking. Which party votes as a bloc with few to no deviants? Which party has a problem keeping leadership? Which party has competing ideas for most problems? Wouldn't you say that the party that has one solution for every problem, one set of leaders that never waver and votes in a very reliable bloc is the party described above? And wouldn't the party that argues over how to solve problems, has members that vote out of step with the party and keeps ousting leaders is not described above?

  42. This became a much easier decision for me once Biden went on TV to regret using the term illegal immigrant to describe that illegal immigrant who murdered Laken Riley. When Democrats and the President have more concern over the terminology used to describe illegal immigrants rightly as illegal immigrants while they are being encouraged and allowed to pour across the border under their watch, voting for Trump became a whole lot easier for me to swallow.

  45. Look, I know you're not capable of looking at data, but even you should be able to understand the difference between being the president-elect and the president. The overall health of the economy is a composite of many different metrics. Presidents generally have little control over them in the short term. They can do things to nudge a bit, but the fundamentals take longer to turn than 3 years. The truth is that Trump did nothing to change the upward trajectory of the Obama economy. The metrics trended almost exactly as they had been. And yes, the economy did fall apart on his watch, but aside from his early overspending and mismanagement of the pandemic response, it's not his fault it fell apart on his watch. But it did, and THAT was an economy in shambles. It's also a fact that by almost every metric, the Biden economy is robust. And, this too is mostly the rebound. The rebound wasn't inevitable, BTW, the Trump and Biden stimulus packages successfully staved off a disastrous depression. Biden actually has made some great long-term economic moves. The CHIPS act and IRA (not really aimed at inflation) include the kind of fundamental economy building that we haven't had in a long time. But it's meat, not sugar. It's only starting to land with things like the TSMC plants in Arizona. I don't know who you are parroting, but you sound like a buffoon when you describe it as "in shambles." Look at the metrics. Read a real paper. Listen to the Fed announcements. Email an economist at your local university. Do SOMETHING to put some actual information in your head.

All you have is that one brief sentence fragment to cling to, which she clearly inserted as limp justification, while you ignore everything else You are one of the worst offenders on this forum when it comes to being someone who only sees what they want to see and only believes what they want to believe. Also people rescue and give away vicious dogs all the time. ALL THE TIME. Some rescue groups even specialize in it. Not that this dog was vicious. Remember that husky that killed a baby and was still adopted out?
