  1. Ms. Babbit broke into a federal facility and continued to act against federal law as part of a gang of thugs inspired by a speech Donald Trump made an hour before to deliberately try to overthrow the Country and install himself as dictator instead of the lawfully elected person decided by the voters in accordance with federal law. Ms. Babbitt was warned not to advance aggressively inside the federal building and instead chose to ignore the warning and when she continued to do so, was shot and died of her wounds. That's all. Nothing else MAGA has made of it is truthful. Nothing else Donald Trump or his various spin meisters have said about it is truthful.

  2. The challenge will be managing his voters: centrist newbies, often former Liberals, who want lower rents and economic change generally and will have very little patience; traditional Tories; libertarians; the Christian crowd; and the obstreperous MAGA crew screaming about vaccines, convoys, QAnon etc. whoโ€™ll have to be kept as quiet as possible after the election so as not to frighten the rest.

  3. There certainly is an Epps conspiracy theory. You're living it! You're posting about it! Epps is just another gullible MAGA sucker--and that's all he was until you kooks invented a whole mythology around him. Friends, family, job, have all been confirmed. He's not the super secret spy next door. Just schlub like you And the Ashli Babbit fairy tale your buying is EXACTLY like you denying rainfall. You can literally watch video of people smashing through the windows is the barricaded doors. You can literally watch Babbitt climb through the window and then get shot. She wasn't trying to stop people, dummy. She was the first invader through the breach.

  5. Believe it or not, gnat-boy has declared here that he would "murder"anyone trying to break down HIS front door, but because he believes the Capitol is "public building" even when CLOSED, Babbitt had the right to break into the House Chamber. I swear these MAGA CULT types have lost every sense of reality.

  6. Really? You've already discovered that they are spreading misinformation. You've already established that the Alam claim is false. But you're not sure what to do with their claim? Waiting for Trump to tell you whether it's raining or not? Perhaps try not feeding your confirmation bias with random YouTube videos and garbage news outlets. Ashli Babbitt played stupid games and won stupid prizes. You don't have to guess what happened to her. You can see the mob trying to smash their way through the barricaded doors to our elected officials. You can see her try to climb through the window. You can see her get shot. She wasn't murdered. She was killed by the officer in defense of himself and the lawmakers in his charge. If she were a home invader killed during a break in, conservatives would hail the shooter as a hero. "Good guy with gun stops attacker." But because she and the rest of the howling mob were trying to reach trapped lawmakers you want to call the assailant a hero. Figures.๐Ÿ™„

  7. https://www.newsweek.com/why-rose-mcgowan-thinks-democrats-deep-cult-1586658 Rose McGowan knows a thing or two about being in a cult, her parents were in one when she was a child. She said: ""And I do believe Democrats, most especially, are in a deep cult that they really don't know about and aren't really aware of." If you look at the way their sheeple in this forum gobble up and regurgitate any and all propaganda it's obvious. Nothing has to make sense to them, they never need to see any actual evidence of anything, they are simply told that the emperor has low inflation and voila, there it is! They see it right in front of them. No matter how much more expensive everything around them actually is, inflation is still low, by definition. The emperor also has a new vax. Etc, etc. Never forget what this hateful piece of garbage said about everyone who voted against him: Tell me these aren't cultists: Their "Scream At The Sky" event lol:

  8. Ouch! NY Judge Arthur Engoron has handed down a $350 million (plus interest) judgement against Donald Trump in the New York State civil fraud case. His two sons were also fined and all three are barred from doing any business in New York for three years. To appeal the verdict, Trump must post a $350 million plus interest bond, if he can find anyone who will take the risk of a bond. Otherwise, Trump must front the full $350 million himself before an appeal can be filed.

Biden can shoot fifty people in cold blood; that wonโ€™t get Trump off the hook. If you get a speeding ticket, you can shout โ€œClinton!โ€ all you want; you still get the ticket.

  18. This is an interesting read. Apparently Roosevelt started the practice of recording things to prevent 'fake news' - I've been saying for years now that we need to make our governance more transparent to try and dispel the proliferation of conspiracies used to fill in the big blanks between what we know and don't know Roosevelt was even recorded comparing someone to Hitler. The more things change the more they stay the same. https://www.npr.org/2017/05/13/528222995/the-shadowy-history-of-secret-white-house-tapes

Government will bring its own problems we canโ€™t foresee and Canadian voters are becoming more fractious. All parties are unstable coalitions and weโ€™ve seen the right struggle in Canada with this on several occasions. Most people beyond the National Post crowd will forget about Trudeau in five seconds and want to know what PP has done for them lately.

  29. Large-scale military procurements offer all the hazards of civilian megaprojects with added political complications too. The unfolding warship disaster shows that the military top brass canโ€™t be let change requirements again and again as new gadgets appear on the market. In addition, we shouldnโ€™t have bought local because such people can always bring pressure to bear in Ottawa that foreigners canโ€™t. Iโ€™ve never seen a country agonise so long over helicopters, submarines, fighter aircraft and boats. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/ivison-canadas-uncontrolled-military-program-plundering The trick is to ringfence enough funds to pay for the equipment required and protect it from political interference but have remorselessly strict oversight of cost overruns. Not an easy problem to solve.

  30. well the thing is - an emergency act has to, by it's very nature, be immediately available if there's an emergency. You really can't have an emergency act that has a lot of failsafes. Otherwise it would be called the 'we should really think about this and get back to you in a week' act. It's worth noting that the original failsafe was the senate. They have to vote on it within a week of it being passed or it automatically turns off. And the senate made it pretty clear to everyone that htey were going to vote it down. Which is why trudeau backed off and shut it down himself. So in that sense, the system did work and the breaker did pop. But as you say - after damage had been done. The biggest failure of the system was the voter. They voted in someone they knew was divisive, corrupt, who'd already shown he had no respect for their rights, and unfortunately liberal supporters thought that was just fine. Sad fact is, many of them still think it was a good decision. Other than that - all they can do is maybe beef up the definition of "emergency", maybe specifically state that bouncy-castles are not actually threats to democracy.

  32. what is the motivation for the government to implement the Jan 6 riots? for 2024? i mean, this is a classic conspiracy theory. "Conspiracy theories are generally designed to resist falsification either by evidence against them or a lack of evidence for them. They are reinforced by circular reasoning: both evidence against the conspiracy and absence of evidence for it are misinterpreted as evidence of its truth." anyways... influencing others to commit crimes is, in itself a crime... but the individual carrying out the crime is not suddenly innocent. no, they are guilty of a crime if they indeed committed a crime. Babbit made a big mistake and i feel bad for her... because security had not used that kind of force up until that moment. so she probably thought that it wasn't going to happen. even if she saw that a barricade had been constructed and that there was a secret service man with his gun drawn sheltering in a doorway.

  33. So what? I Don't care if Biden is corrupt or not. He almost certainly is. So is every other long-term congressman and senator. I don't ultimately care that Trump is corrupt. The US has had lots of corrupt presidents before. I don't care whether he insults people and is or is not a racist. The US has had lots of racist presidents before. What I care about is he's dumb. He knows nothing about anything but thinks he does and fires anyone who contradicts him. The guy is a very good salesman. I'll give him that. But as a businessman or father or leader of any kind he's a disaster.

  43. Hey, Biden has been an amazing president, for both democrats AND republicans. No doubt about it. He has woken people up to the reality of the American government like nothing in history. Trump claimed there was a swamp, but his work only reached some of the Dems out there. Biden has proved beyond a doubt that the American government and ruling class has been taken over by the swamp. A billion dollars at a time. Only the hard core brainwashed still canโ€™t see it at this point, and thatโ€™s okay because they are the small(if noisy) minority. They will scream and moan loudly, being dragged into reality by forthcoming events like the upcoming election. So thank you Biden. This may have single-handedly saved the nation, and by extension the free world. And the final nail in the coffin of the brainwashed will be his arrest and sentencing.

  45. And, of course, it was just coincidence that Trump's son in law, who acted as a White House aide, negotiating deals in the middle east in particular, got a $2 billion contract from the Saudis after leaving office. Trump himself registered eight numbered companies in Saudi Arabia during his campaign Then there are the tens of millions spent at Trump properties by countries and companies who realized that they could curry favor with trump by doing so. Not to mention Trump ensured he visited his properties regularly, bringing tons of staff and secret service with him. He spent almost one in every three days as president at one of his own properties, charging the government through the nose. There's his shady charity that didn't give any money to charity. His shady university that was shut down. The run down mansion he sold to the Russians for almost a hundred million, the shady and mysterious deal in Azerbaijan with shady people associated with Russia and Iran, and his tax fraud in New York. But the concerning thing about Trump is that he said in his book that he was broke, that when he and Ivanka passed a bum on the street he said to her that bum is millions of dollars better off than he is. Then suddenly he's not. And his son Don said Russian and eastern Europe money saved them. Where did that money come from exactly? Given Trump's history of shady dealings (he mentioned dealing with the mob as a realtor in New York) it's not exactly inconceivable that he took money from people he shouldn't have and wound up being involved in both money laundering and sanctions busting. And if he did, and the odds are good, then Putin knows about it and has him by the balls. And the only evidence for that is circumstantial - and the deferential, even obsequious way he acts to and around Putin.

  46. This is really a pretty flimsy complaint. Willis was boning the special prosecutor. They went on vacations together. He booked the travel. (According to both parties, Willis paid him directly for her half.) So the premise of the complaint is that there was an incentive to extend the prosecution, so that the special prosecutor would be employed longer, so Willis would be able to go on more vacations. -- That's right. The claim is that Willis was prosecuting this case not because it's a history-making case against a history making crook, but because the highly-paid county DA wanted her boyfriend to be able to take her on more fabulous getaways! You never know what's going to happen in court with real people, but seems unlikely to achieve any goal beyond delay. If it turns the other way for some reason, Willis will have farked her way out of the history books.

If they're real countries, then so is Ukraine. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Maybe they can't. What they have done, however, is defeated the Russian invasion, humiliated the Russian military and forced them to rely on witless peasant conscripts hiding like rats behind minefields and in trenches, just to hang on what little territory they've gained. How many Russian soldiers lives is a square meter of Ukrainian dirt worth? (It's a trick question. Russian soldiers' lives have no value, as far as Mad Vlad is concerned).
