Everyone with a brain who is employed in an organization/business large enough to have an HR department knows this game. Chauvin was incompetent, negligent and acted in a manor that was contrary to his training. I doubt he meant to kill Floyd but I don't really think he cared either. I'm not sure the murder conviction was warranted but manslaughter and negligent homicide definitely were. His history showed a pattern and the guy should not have been a cop.

In a civilized society you wouldn't give voice to the weakest most hateful and ignorant among us . But that is exactly where trump got his extra voters needed to be elected. The major point is that it will be very hard to take away these rejects and ignorant voice because no time in history has their opinion been asked for and they will fight like hell to keep the only voice they have ever had. . There are generally three types of people in Canada participating in the electorate: dumb unsophisticated left wing activists (the people in charge of Canada and your HR department), the Pollyanna “What, me worry?” apologists (most Canadians and the mushy middle go along to get along MSM consumers, etc.), and everyone else who ranges from important and brave critical thinkers to more radical elements on the right (who have much in common with the radical left activists). Generally the critical thinkers are ignored or suppressed because they’re a threat to the lunatic activists. That’s why the 50 year old man is exposing himself to young girls and winning women’s athletic competitions. Duh!

I am pretty sure the electorate has nothing to do with this dilemma. I also think there is no court case regarding born male taking tit making drugs participating in female sports is going on. Interesting there are no female born converted to men participating in competitive sports? I am vehemently opposed to allowing transgender persons participating in sports in anything other than what they were born as.

The campaigns against free speech on campus are student driven and the problem is exacerbated by weak administrations who bend to the students. Students generally hold their profs and the administration in contempt. It was this way in the late 1920's when my father was at UBC, again in the mid 1960's when my brother was at UBC, in the early 1970's when I was at U-Vic and currently at the U of S. Students have controlled university campuses since the great student riots at Cambridge, Paris and Padua in the late Middle Ages. The smartest people on earth are second year students. It is funny that grad students know less and less as they proceed through their Masters programs and Phd. Finally, when they get to be tenured professors, they understand they know next to nothing. There are occasional exceptions like Professor Jordon Peterson who knows everything.

Why is this bad news for lefties? If Hunter Biden broke the law, he should be prosecuted. What is not clear to me is whether he’s charged with paying his taxes late (which isn’t much of a big deal and people don’t go to jail over) or if he filed the returns late AND they were dishonest (which is a big deal and people do go to jail over).

The sequel I have to admit it was amusing seeing these university chancellors proclaiming their love of free speech is so absolute they couldn't condemn someone for calling for genocide against Jews as necessarily being against their rules.
