Happy international women's day to all women in the world. God bless all mothers, sisters and daughters all over the world as we are here because of them and they are the source of life and love. While freedom and equality for women has been achieved in many countries around the world and we proudly celebrate all those political and socioeconomic achievements, however, on this great day we must not forget about the oppressed women in many other countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and Ukraine and many more who are still in this day and age are subjected to male dominated violence or state terrorism. We will not rest until we have a world with a complete freedom and total equality for all women to make this day a true worldwide celebration of achievements of women. WOMAN LIFE FREEDOM1 point

It's the power we allow our government that's threatening. Putting politicians in charge of all that power without proper oversight is like making nuclear plant workers do their jobs without shielding around the reactors. These usually also have all sorts of sensors located throughout to monitor for problems and lots of bells whistles and alarms to let everyone know about it. They should have these things right? ?1 point

I absolutely did not say that, so this is (once again) you just making up your own points to argue against. You should be able to quote this if it's true, but you can't. ? If telling people how they feel, what they're thinking, and making up what they said is going to be your go-to debate tactic, there's not any point in engaging with you. You're arguing against points of your own creation, so you may as well be left to it.1 point

Oh wait. I thought it was Russia Russia Russia. And you all just bought that nonsense about Russia because your trusted sources of propaganda said so. Now that the powers that be realize that they are losing their grip on the public, they come out with a new fake news story. It wasn’t Russia. It was Ukraine. Supporters. Not a nation, but a group. They know the political leanings of this group, but they don’t know who it is. Really. That has the top tier kind of technology that Ukraine wouldn’t have. To set explosives on the bottom of the ocean, strategically placed to properly take out 2 gas lines. And remember, it wasn’t Germany, USA or Russia. It was a “group” that doesn’t contain them. But it has technology on par with the US Navy. Got all that? It wasn’t the US that only threatened twice to take out the gas lines, spoken by two top level officials, including the office of the president. They had nothing to do with it, ignore those whistle blowers. ?1 point

Soooo - the russians start a war. The us isn't fighting that war or sending troops to that war, but somehow they're marching towards a war, because they're selling weapons to a country that the russians ACTUALLY invaded and started a war with. If anything the americans actions are avoiding war. Had putin won easily in the ukraine, he would have attacked another country. That's a given. So now he won't be doing that. The conflict is well contained within the ukraine and russia, and even if somehow russia gets a bit of a victory here and claims some land the cost will have been so high they won't be thinking about doing that again for the next 20 years or so. Meanwhile the allies can turn ukraine into a fortress - something they were not interesrted in before russia provoked this, which will AGAIN make russia think carefully next time, This is the best way to stop a larger conflict later - and you have not been able to demonstrate how that isn't true despite having had it pointed out many times,1 point
-
Nato didn't start the war. Putin started the war. Nato did not ask ukraine to join. Ukraine asked and nato said no. For decades. There were a million ways to address any concerns without conflict, they chose conflict. This war absolutely would have happened without nato.1 point

Yes, it's unbelievable--in every sense of the word. I cannot understand it. No matter how much one buys into the culture war bullshit, you'd think they have the self respect to at least reject the phonies at FOX who have been laughing at them and manipulating them. I would honestly respect them more if they wandered off to find some even shittier network like OAN or Newsmax where everything is wrong, but at least there's the possibility that the garbage peddlers sincerely believe their own nonsense. But nope, they can see the man behind the curtain at FOX and still go back for more and more and more. It's nauseating.1 point

Holy shite, dude. Tucker and his buddies are on record as having lied to you for the last 6 years. Not slant, or bias or selective coverage, but just plain outright and deliberately lying to you, telling you the exact opposite of what they knew to be true for the sake of ratings, money and influence. Why and how, with any conscience, are you still parroting his bullshit? Instead of crawling back for more, can't you at least muster up the self respect to be pissed off about being explicitly and deliberate manipulated? That is a whole new level of submissive. The alt-left MSM, led by the NYTards, reported that Sicknick was murdered. It's what the alt-left MSM does: they open with massive lies at the very beginning of every story when the emotions are extremely high in order to create the most lasting impressions of that event with their favourite spin. Retractions are low-key and come much later, after the story has cooled off, and conservatives have been gaslighted for telling the truth for weeks or even months.1 point

The Wall Street Journal published an obnoxious op-ed yesterday headed, “Why Scientists Got the Covid Lab Leak Wrong.” The subheadline delivered a pathetic attempt at some kind of good excuse: “We’re only human, and we’re as susceptible as everybody else to cognitive biases and self-interest.” Oh. Well. OK, then. ? Sort of what a lot of us have been saying all along. Why Scientists Got the Covid Lab Leak Wrong - WSJ Here it is NOT behind a paywall: PressReader.com - Digital Newspaper & Magazine Subscriptions The problem and the whole reason for the article, is that the government-approved “lab leak” narrative rapidly shifted without any warning, and in doing so, it ran a lot of “experts” right up onto the rocks, experts who’d fallen all over themselves supporting the old narrative through thick and thin. In his WSJ article, Trehan suggests several reasonable-sounding explanations for why, even after emerging evidence supporting a lab leak, the MAJORITY of experts still doubled-down, continued pushing the natural origins narrative, and did their utmost to suppress and cancel other scientists with whom they disagreed. Trehan readily admits all of that happened. But then Trehan just shrugs his shoulders and quite broad-mindedly explains: “That’s just science!” He pointed out scientists are only humans after all, not lizard people (probably), and since they are humans, scientists have biases and conflicts of interest and politics and tribes and they lust for money and power just like everybody else does. So be reasonable. Don’t expect scientists to be perfect or anything. Here's his nauseating apology: I am not suggesting that scientists consciously decided to thwart the truth. These processes can be insidious and subconscious. But you don’t have to posit conspiracy theories to explain the rush by the science establishment to exclude a lab-leak explanation to Covid. You merely have to admit that scientists are human. Thanks, but no thanks. I’m not buying any of it. It’s hogwash, rubbish, and utter nonsense. Because during the pandemic, when all this broad-mindedness could have been helpful, when it would have counted for something, they NEVER said “scientists are human.” They NEVER said “scientists make mistakes.” They NEVER said “scientists have biases.” Nope. It doesn’t count now. You should have said that stuff three years ago. In fact, they said the exact opposite. “FOLLOW THE SCIENCE,” they said. “TRUST THE EXPERTS,” they said. “DON’T BE A SCIENCE DENIER,” they said. Somebody please explain to me how “don’t be a science denier” is AT ALL consistent with “scientists are only biased humans who sometimes make mistakes" - a bunch of scientists, making a metric fuque-ton of mistakes, all at the same time. What a crock of ??. The ? NEW ? “experts are infallible” narrative stinks to high heaven. It's nothing but a scapegoat rodeo of people trying trying to cover their arses.1 point

The reason GoF on viruses has been allowed at all is because some people think it will help in having a vaccine ready to go, when a pandemic hits. There are others who think this kind of research carries more risks than benefits and should not be allowed because accidental ab leaks happen way more often than most of know. Is Gain-of-Function Research a ‘Risk Worth Taking’? Or ‘Insanity’? (thefp.com) How likely is a lab leak? A 1995 epidemic of Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus is believed to have come from a lab. A 2003 case of SARS was traced back to a Singapore lab. Multiple cases of SARS in 2004 in Beijing likely originated in a lab, a World Health Organization report found. A 2007 outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease was believed to come from a UK lab. In 2002, cases of West Nile Virus were acquired in labs. In 1979 more than sixty people, who lived downwind from a Soviet military facility, died from anthrax that escaped from the building. In 2019, a lab leak of aerosolized Brucella in China infected more than 10,000 people. “The record of laboratory accidents and accidental infections in the most secure and highly scrutinized government labs shows that such accidents are inevitable,” Lipsitch wrote in one of his many papers on the topic. You’re scaring me! Those instances are just a sample. The American Biological Safety Association maintains a database of hundreds of case studies of laboratory-acquired infections, in case you really want to panic. To be clear, this is not a list of leaks specifically related to GOFROC, but the point is that lab accidents happen with surprising regularity. Can any of this research be done safely? Moreover, Bryce Nickels told me there is a temptation for scientists to work at lower safety levels, because fewer restrictions make research easier to conduct. Some of the coronavirus research conducted in Wuhan was done at BSL-2—a level that a number of experts believe is far too low.1 point

Bah ha ha haha... So the former chief quits because his boss...Pelosi...wanted to fire him. Pelosi installs an "acting chief"...Yolanda Pittman...and they proceed to get rid of a bunch of their cops. Why? Well they were down right hospitable to dangerous people carrying American flags. HOW DARE THEY! This sick pansie-ass crap needs to be destroyed. It is increasingly obvious that there was no "insurrection" on January 6. There was thousands...and thousands...of American citizens expressing their concern for the fidelity of a presidential election. Something Libbies simply cannot brook. So they make up a scary story that is miles removed from reality. How much longer will the American public put up with this garbage?1 point

That's been debunked some time ago. Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes after Capitol riot, medical examiner says - CBS News The public release of more video simply confirms what many of us were saying shortly after Jan 6, namely that a very small number of people rioted while the vast majority did not. There is simply nowhere near enough evidence to classify Jan 6 as an insurrection.1 point
-
Yep. Most of the footage that CNN showed had audio added to it, to help control the way you felt about what you saw. Of course it was gunfire. Conservatives had one protest with some low-level violence (the smashing of windows, and some cops were pushed) and the police started killing people. Contrast that with thousands of violent riots by Antifatards and BLMtards and not a single shot fired.1 point

Many would argue that the system is no good specifically because it took so few additional patents to overwhelm the system entirely. The fact is that while covid did throw an unusually high number of people at the system it should be able to cope with a surge in patients without breaking down completely. I mean they pulled every trick to increase capacity, shut down operations, etc etc and it still wasn't enough. And why would there still be lingering aftereffects? the various levels of gov't have had 3 years now to identify problems and weaknesses and address it. Most did nothing, The feds did nothing. Except cut the percent of healthcare funding. No, you can't just blow off the problems we've got as covid'. There are major issues with our system across the country and the model we use very clearly does not work well enough.1 point

Great players often don’t make great coaches. Healthcare could benefit from new thinking outside the box, perhaps managers from entirely different industries. With that said, managers new to the game have a steep learning curve and they better master the lingo because they’ll be challenged on it by the health professionals.1 point

1. To be honest, this is a misconception by professionals that good managers are not their equals, at heart. The cost of having Doctors run hospitals is that you have hospitals run by people who aren't the best at it. I recall the revelation to a hospital that they could schedule MRI visits in the evening and reduce wait times by months. No capable business manager would have allowed such a situation to happen as to have an essential service shut down at 5 pm just because. That said, the medical people need a kind of veto over decisions that's clear. 2. Bed reductions aren't "bad" on their own. Certainly a context needs to be shown in terms of trade offs. 3. Transparency is needed, but also - if an administrator were theoretically to save millions and keep services intact wouldn't it make sense to offer incentives to attract people who are able to do that ? Unfortunately the value of a nurse doesn't scale up to the value of an excellent health CEO - do you see what I mean ? 4. If we had an informed public, able to understand trade-offs, and listening to both the cost and quality side I am 100% convinced this problem would be solved. Instead we have micro-managing cost cutters on one side, and bleeding hearts frankly on the other. The public and the patients lose. Harper put something called CIHI in place to help form an informed public on such matters. I pushed it on this board for years but even here people are more interested in ideology fights than informing themselves on boring issues and making a better "public" I do feel strongly about this situation - that it's our fault as Canadians we allow this to happen.1 point
