  1. Canada used to be considered peace-keepers. A peaceful nation. One of the few seemingly neutral third parties that could be brought in for a negotiation. Not any more. Now it's all Rah Rah Rah! This man is not a Canadian:

  3. Canadians have every right, and indeed one could argue its our responsibility, to question where our money is spent and on what. Why should we be sending anything to Ukraine? They are not an ally. Our own military has voiced serious concerns about their military. And of course, Zelinsky is no lover of democracy or freedom. So why is our money going there? Especially after the financial pit created by Liberal over spending during The Rona.

During her interview, host Henry Louis Gates, Jr. revealed that she is a descendant of one of the original passengers on the Mayflower, William Brewster.Gates shared a clip of the segment on Twitter. “Any idea what you’re looking at?” he asks. “That is a list of the passengers on the Mayflower.” Davis is in complete astonishment. “No, I can’t believe this,” she says, laughing and throwing her hands up. “No, my ancestors did not come here on the Mayflower,” she laughs again.“Your ancestors came here on the Mayflower,” Gates repeats. “You are descended from one of the 101 people who sailed on the Mayflower.” https://www.westernjournal.com/no-no-no-no-radical-activist-angela-davis-dismayed-learn-ancestors-owned-slaves-arrived-mayflower/ No No No No': Radical Activist Angela Davis Dismayed to Learn Her Ancestors Owned Slaves, Arrived on Mayflower

  14. That's not actually true. I have empathy for the kind of problems these people face. The problem is the left or NDP are not capable of dealing with the problems in a realistic way. The solution is not to simply let dangerous, violent offenders out into society. I am sure judge hear all about those problems put forward by the defence. That is how the legal system works. But the solution is not to just release people on bail or parole that still represent a danger to everyone. What is your solution. You are claiming to have empathy. Do you have empathy for the victims and for society at large who should be protected? Therein lies the conundrum. How do you take into consideration the past life of an offender and still protect society from a repeat or potential repeat offender, especially if the person is a violent offender? We hear a lot of talk about aboriginal justice or returning to their customs and justice, but many of the websites or aboriginal leaders, politicians that mention that word do not define exactly what that entails. Likely most of them do not even know themselves what aboriginal justice would mean. This is all part of the clash of civilizations when Europeans colonized north America. There are no easy solutions. If you have the solution, please tell us what it is. Federal liberals like to talk a lot about reconciliation and giving aboriginals more control but they seldom explain exactly what that entails and what it would mean in the justice system. I am trying to find out exactly what aboriginal justice would entail and how it would work. The first and basic purpose of the justice system has to be to protect society from dangerous offenders such as rapists, assault, murderers, etc. It is unfortunate that many offenders had bad lives in the past. Unfortunately that is usually what led them to commit crimes. We can't change the past, but we do have a responsibility to protect the citizens which they might come in contact with if they are release. We have seen terrible examples of people being murdered by aboriginals who were released by the parole board or let out on bail and they were released simply because they were aboriginal. This is not a viable solution at all and is a serious threat to society. No, I don't believe anyone can "beat" the fear of God into anyone else. That is a false assumption of how Christian or Biblical teaching works. Nobody should try to beat or force anyone to believe anything. I don't think that was a common way of teaching the Bible in history, although there were probably a few bad teachers around. We have bad teachers today in the public system and in government. Society is far from perfect. Not everyone is loving as they should be. Humans are not infallible and often make mistakes in the way they talk and act. But most people teaching the Bible are simply teaching what is in it and not beating it over anyone's head as you seem to think. I have listened to Bible teaching in many different places and ways over the years and never heard anyone come close to "beating" it into a person. One of the basic teachings of Jesus is to love thy neighbour. You don't demonstrate love to anyone by beating them with a subject. I hope I am not beating you when I talk about the Bible and will keep that in mind.

  15. At that point I knew the rest would be bunk LOL Time to move on and get over it. What is a Vaccine? "Vaccination is a simple, safe, and effective way of protecting you against harmful diseases, before you come into contact with them. It uses your body’s natural defenses to build resistance to specific infections and makes your immune system stronger. Vaccines train your immune system to create antibodies, just as it does when it’s exposed to a disease. However, because vaccines contain only killed or weakened forms of germs like viruses or bacteria, they do not cause the disease or put you at risk of its complications." https://www.who.int/news-room/questions-and-answers/item/vaccines-and-immunization-what-is-vaccination "A vaccine is a type of medicine that trains the body’s immune system so that it can fight a disease it has not come into contact with before. Vaccines are designed to prevent disease, rather than treat a disease once you have caught it." https://vk.ovg.ox.ac.uk/how-do-vaccines-work https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/vaccine

  17. Because...its...against....the...charter... of....rights. You can't make a contract or deal that violates the law. Murder wouldn't become legal just because you signed a contract or agreed to commit one as condition of entry any agreement still has to follow the law or it will be unenforceable. You might be able to use the notwithstanding clause (maybe - i'd have to look at that) but i doubt it and if you could you would be crucified - every canadian would be worried you'd use it to control where they live next. And frankly i don't think it would stand up even then. Freedom of mobility is guaranteed in other places than just the charter. I just don't see it being legally possible. You would have to give them an incentive. that you could do as long as it's over and above any social services they would normally get.

What I'd to know is where all these right-wingers bellyaching about big governments and big corporations colluding with one another came from. 30 years ago you'd be cancelled on the spot as a fascist commie for doing that. I mean it's not like there isn't enough truth behind it to warrant some bellyaching but, c'mon!

  20. No, socialism is a bigger risk demonstrably at the moment. Religion is about a distant 4th or so. No we're not, who told you that? We already tax the wealthy and we're not paying the bills. The wealthy don't have enough to pay the bills even if we tax them at 100 percent, and if you over tax they take their money elsewhere period. It's all about choosing the right pillow. Here's the deal. I'm all over taking the steps necessary to allow the market forces to bring housing back in line. It's only because people like YOU have pushed the gov'ts to do the WRONG thing and interfere and make bad choices that we have this problem in the first place. But if you're not ready to get serious, if people like you are still out there going "tax the rich" and "gov't should build all the housing", which is exactly the wrong thing to do - then don't expect ME to feel bad for the people YOU are screwing over. You want people to have houses - then start WELCOMING the rich and THANKING the landlords. The more of those we have the more homes get build and the cheaper housing gets

  21. What do you mean, "When he started moving towards closer ties"? Are you implying he changed direction after getting elected? Yanukovych's pro-Russian stance was very evident during his election campaign. He was elected because the majority in the population supported strengthening economic ties with Russia. It's not only the CIA, it's the millions of dollars.

  22. they estimate we're about 1,8 million homes short of where we need to be right now, so if we assume about 300k to build a unit even if they get the land cheap and even if we cut that back to 1.5 million that would be 450 billion dollars the gov't would have to come up with.

  25. It's pretty harsh to use that term. And I agree with Deluge, what this activist discovered was pretty ironic and very interesting. Prior to this story I had never heard of her before. It's not a stretch to assume she would likely have been on the side demanding reparations for slavery. I wonder what she thinks now?

  28. If the goal is to have our elections decided by Canadians then why not start with the nomination process? As CSIS points out, not having to be a Canadian citizen to be a voting member of a political party almost begs for interference especially with those ridings which have a habitual tendency of voting one way. It does seem rather odd that one must be a Canadian citizen to vote in elections but not a requirement to vote for the candidates who would run in those elections. If Canada suffers from a lack of certain foreign interference laws then how about we start making some?

  33. Because then the gov't can step in, buy up housing and "provide" it to the people at an "affordable" rate. Communism sells based on the idea that you personally will no longer have risk or be denied the things you like. "If you just allow communism, you'll have your nice house no matter what happens in the market - EVERYONE will have a nice house". If the markets collapse and the gov't can step in (as we saw in other countries such as England just after ww2) then the gov't gains more control over people and people get used to the gov't handling all their affairs. Pretty soon people become afraid to do anything on their own and become entirely dependent on the gov't. Remember - there is no more effective way to enslave people than to provide for their every need.

  35. Why are you being such a biased left wing troll ASS? I present the TRUTH and you knee jerk back to that ignorant goose stepping term "troll?" Are you REALLY as stupid as the rest of these left wing cretins? You're the HYPOCRITE who demands links and you come up with a LIE about the black slaveowners ALL being the result of white slave owners raping black slaves? I'm going to call you on that bullshit. PRODUCE PROOF that ALL black slave owners are the children of raped black slaves, or ADMIT you just made that up. White slave owners indeed had sex with black slave women. Then they sold the CHILDREN into slavery, increasing their profit from the DEMOCRAT PARTY trade. There is ZERO historical reference somehow excusing blacks for owning (AND SELLING THEIR OWN PEOPLE INTO SLAVERY IN AFRICA) due to white owners raping black women.
