They're not 3000 lbs, not even Clydesdales. And the horses aren't "running over" people; to do that, the horse would have to be running full tilt with no way to avoid people. They are walking into the crowd, so people will give way. It's not that horses can't be dangerous, but these horses are trained for this kind of work. Hyperbole doesn't make you smart, it just lessens your credibility.4 points

The trucks needed to leave as they were parked illegally. But now riot police are using the emergencies act to get rid of peaceful pedestrian protestors too. That's wrong and unconstitutional. Using horses to trample peaceful protestors is disgraceful.3 points

Crazy day in Ottawa today. Justin and Chrystias' brownshirt thugs in black jackets got active. Here they are smacking one Canuck with a rifle butt: Here they are horse stomping some old lady on a walker. Another poor schmuck gets kneed to the ground: The median organization, True North is suing Trudeau's thugs for beating up one of their reporters: Candice Malcolm 9h I've just retained a lawyer on behalf of True North and our journalist @AndrewLawton . We are suing the police for assault and targeting a working journalist. @JustinTrudeau : you don't get to beat up journalists in this country. See you in court.3 points

No. I am not interested in discussing vaccinations with anyone who is hysterical, paranoid and intentionally ignorant about modern medicine and medical science.2 points
-
No... The actual organizers are racists, and bad faith actors... That's why people call them racist. Useful fools are counted on to defend these reprobate types.2 points

What does that mean, “a far right ppc supporter”? He’s not trampling peaceful protesters. That’s the government you support.2 points

To see so many police with so much force surrounding peaceful protesters speaks for itself. This is a police state.2 points

I would not say each has equal responsibility though. Trudeau has all the power and authority. There is no question he owns it, by virtue of the fact he is in charge.2 points
-
The reason for it is intimidation. The protests aren't illegal. Trudeau is just throwing a tantrum over being humiliated on the world stage. Of course running someone over with a horse and having six cops punch a man repeatedly is "for your safety" ?.. Of course we don't actually believe that. The show of force is to send a message that Trudeau will inject his juices into you if he wants. You want to talk back? He'll take your money out of your bank account and put you in jail. Because he can.2 points

The Oka crisis. Two dead, and deploy the army because Indians. White people park in the capital for three weeks and ARE OUTRAGED that they have to leave. I'm very confused as to what they thought was going to happen...2 points

They have no science to prove vaccinating children is necessary or for their benefit. And eyeball, although he will deny it, is the real anti=science person here. He pays zero attention to it, doesn't care a bit about it and will comply with anything the government tells him to do - without thought. He is intellectually lazy.1 point

Did anyone get held down and jabbed against their will? Nope. No freedoms were lost.1 point
-
Good point. I guess they did manage to get the Conservatives to move to the fringe right to support people who illegally lock down a city for their own nefarious purposes.1 point
-
If I am funding illegal activities, this seems like a reasonable move. This sounds like paranoia. If it happens, it will be dealt with through the courts. And people can still protest. They just can’t occupy a city and lock it down for their own purposes. New found? It has been a law since 1980s. Mulroney. Did someone hold you down and force you to take the vaccine?1 point

To recap: Me: Convoy leaders espouse racist theories West: cite ? Me: finds a compilation video, posts it West: LOL ... leftists ... Metis1 point

as I've told you before, I stopped wearing decorations years ago I've lived under this tyranny the whole time, because I always knew it was there behind the curtain so I've been there, done that, I feel his pain it's shattering all over again, to see it happen to a brother1 point

I saw this one in one of the pieces on the media fact purge of the "mobility scooter = a bicycle" story. " They’re not lying to us because they’re stupid. Believe it or not, they’re not lying because they think we’re stupid. They’re lying because they know if they keep doing it, the gullible will believe them."1 point

Trudeau is a true leftist authoritarian. Treat some groups better than others, smugly believe you know what's best for everyone, behave like a narcissist with a cult of personality destined to rule, use propoganda to indoctrinate others, use the state to take away rights and enforce compliance.1 point

oh well if the horse confirmed it that makes it all okay government toadies are the dumbest1 point

You should know. This is Canada ffs it's not China or Germany during the 30's. Get a grip. And you can be quite certain this entire thing will be dissected second by second to do just that. Well considering just how loaded with politics and emotion this is I fully expect there will be incidents that are interpreted as being evidence of deliberate brutality. That cop was clearly not Derek Chauvin or he would have backed up their horse and placed its hoof on the woman's neck.1 point

Is that you standing beside him in the picture? Hmmm Rumble vs the CBC... I'd love to see the sort of peer reviews he's generated. I realize science is not democratic, it does however recognize and support the weight of credibility.1 point
-
Leftists have done an effective job of telling you what's an "approved source". They do this through indoctrination training at universities. Only the sources they say are legitimate should be listened to. It's a problem with easy access to livestreams etc as they then have to gaslight and tell you your eyes are actually lying to you1 point
-
Well once vax passes are dropped in Ontario, private businesses can try to continue to ask for evidence of vaccination. Perhaps some people will like and want to patronize places with segregation policies. I certainly won’t patronize them.1 point

There must be middle ground among the right wing and left wing extremists to defund the police and end pharmaceutical capitalism now?1 point

Man it’s really getting tough dealing with people like you that literally have no comprehension of the English language. I didn’t come up with shit. That number was the result of a John Hopkins study. Let me hold your hand on this so you can understand. What I’m going to post next is a link which is a shortened word for hyperlink that connects one to the internet. This “link” will connect you to a news article that discusses the study. On this site you will see the figure stated and you could then discuss/dispute that number based on the merit of the study or you could continue in the Citezen-2015 way and make baseless, asinine comments like you just did. Are you following me or do I need to slow down for ya? A new study out of Johns Hopkins University is claiming that worldwide pandemic lockdowns only prevented 0.2 per cent of COVID-19 deaths and were “not an effective way of reducing mortality rates during a pandemic.” “We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality,” reads the paper, which is based on a review of 34 pre-existing COVID-19 studies. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/nationalpost.com/news/world/johns-hopkins-university-study-covid-19-lockdowns/wcm/57324faf-9d83-44a5-9cfe-9ab51608ff64/amp/1 point

Another reason why FPTP is bad. When these groups have zero representation in a democracy, it leads to civil unrest like we are seeing. That goes for both left (Greens) and right (PPC).1 point

If you believe the vaccine does what it was promised to do, then the natural punishment for not taking it would be a small risk of dying from covid. The punishment you advocate is man-made and not backed by science. So they are not "punishing themselves."1 point

Who? Those same idiots who have kids go to school and shoot a dozen other kids every month? Those same idiots are outraged someone got trampled in a protest in Canada?1 point

And yet the little brainfarts that flare throughout these sorts of OP's and threads that are ignited by reading a msm story do suggest a gaseous like substance is involved.1 point

If a kid's unvaccinated status prevents their being able to participate in certain activities it's their parent's decisions forcing this consequence on their kid. The parents are who have the choice. I suppose they could choose to let their kid decide, it's entirely up to them.1 point

well when the protests real goal was to overthrow the government are you really surprised1 point

He's probably smart enough to learn something from the mistakes previous populists have made. If he's really clever he'll be noticing how the trucker's convoy protest is being captured by a more extreme, international better organized right-wing sphere of influence. If he's hoping to hitch his wagon to the convoy he's up against people who also want to hijack it for their own benefit and a more virulent form of conservatism than Canadians will ever tolerate. It's probably already too late and the options for Trudeau are looking better the longer this goes on and the more influence outsiders have. Unless there's some huge Canadian shift rightward Poilievre will have no choice but to lean into the centre to distance himself from the more extreme viewpoint wedging itself into place.1 point
