The photographer behind him in the picture has been identified as Trudeau's personal photographer. Also the Nazi flag guy was well away from the actual trucker protest - this was staged.6 points

The media and politicians on all sides are labeling the trucker rally as racist Nazis. I have seen a photo of a single, unidentified Nazi flag carrier. I also saw in that same group a Nazi flag associated with a "Eff Trudeau " flag. I don't know if the purpose was to call the mandate a Nazi policy, as he had at least four flags, or if he was expressing hate. I have no idea what the message of the flag carrier was and I don't care. https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/nazi-confederate-flags-ottawa-protest It was a single, faceless, voiceless person that I saw amongst tens of thousands. I have heard no racist rhetoric. No white supremacist organizations have formally aligned themselves in any form with the convoy. No Nazis have been given an official platform during any of the convoy's scheduled events. The Nazi narrative is fake news. The truth is that blue-collar Canadians, like those at the rally, were the ones who defeated the Nazis in ww2 and they would be the ones to do it again, if ever necessary. Who do you think would be more likely to put their life on the line to fight real Nazis? Would it be race baiting cucks like Jagmeet Singh and Justin Trudeau or the protesters at the rallies? Who would you rather be in a fox hole with? A protester or Singh or Trudeau? Which one would be complaining about "systemic racism " and their carbon footprint and which one would be actually killing Nazis? Give me a trucker in my raiding party over a woke politician or journalist any day. Stop calling the convoy racist Nazis. Do not demonize these people. A flag, or two, with no context, should not be the focus of our politician's energy and our media. All of Canada's media has become laughable. I don't care if you support the mandate or not. What you should not do is spread lies about people's motives and character. These blue collar working class people are what makes Canada the greatest, safest, most tolerant, and freeest country on the planet, ever. Focus on their words and actions, not a lone, anonymous, flag carrier.4 points

Remove the totalitarian passports. Covid is everywhere and most working people aren’t worried. Most people are vaccinated and the vulnerable have ample protections. End oppressive government policies.4 points

The man seen carrying the Nazi flag was also seen going into an expensive downtown Ottawa apartment.3 points

They are giving everyone their money back now. People starter reporting their donation as fraud to their banks and cost GFM $15 a shot. I'd be decentralizing giving platforms because you never know whst these leftists will try next. Very messed up people. Billions in property damage from black lives matter protests yet gofundme and our PM still supported them3 points

In the last 2 elections more Canadians voted for the CPC than the Liberals. Or the NDP and Greens combined. The NDP and Greens are losers that most Canadians think are filled with naive idealistic nutbars. Canadians don't like nutbar idealogues like the Liberals, CPC, NDP, and Greens. Quebec likes french/Quebec politicians, so Trudeau wins despite losing the popular vote to the CPC. And people don't even like the CPC, they just dislike Trudeau even more. Your plan to keep the CPC being a bunch of conservative nutters is a loser plan. Most conservatives and leftists are morons and nutters and irrational ideologues. Most Canadians are reasonable and don't want closet racist bible-thumping gay-haters running this country, nor do they want the virtue signaling beta cuck wusses we have now. Guys like Trudeau and Scheer are out of their minds.2 points

Thousands rally in my city in support of the truckers...very impressive. Very far from Ottawa.2 points

I pity ones like blackbird. I really do feel sorry for them. We have all been the victims of psychological abuse by our government. Like any abusive relationship, people wake up to it at different times. And some never do. They remain in the grip of the abuser. https://www.hartgroup.org/ethical-concerns-arising-from-the-governments-use-of-covert-psychological-nudges/?fbclid=IwAR2wIWo448kJX8nFaNxkMhc4VGTGj8oORU9BlmDzE4lsvDBHlUvLxsAykwE https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/assets/info/ppih/if-ppih-covid-19-sag-rapid-evidence-report-attitudes-and-adherence-to-covid-19-guidelines.pdf?fbclid=IwAR1mJlY6adTNn3bFDCLAvEzDQSlnRPV8VeGoHf-OKw-5peDLzPHBZC435ns2 points

The convoy is made in Canada, end of story. We’ll take any cash and support they want to lend.2 points

Sad to see people promoting a caste system in Canada based on pseudoscience just like they did with social darwinism2 points
-
The convoy represents a massive national and worldwide opposition to the arbitrary and unwarranted suspension of rights and freedoms. In Canada these are enshrined in our Charter. In the US they’re in the Bill of Rights. Some will try to politicize, but all democratic parties should protect constitutional rights from government overreach.2 points

We have people at this very site that think the theft and violence against the truckers is perfectly fine. Run more of them over is what they say. But they'll have to go a long ways to prove that the likes of that girl posting at the party last night is some sort of fascist herself. She's not like them. She's not a damn monster...2 points

Exactly. Kids in grade 3 think that they know what they wanna be when they grow up but a lot changes in 9 years. No kids at that age truly understand long-term goals or consequences. Give them the chance to eat Fruit Loops or broccoli and they'll all choose Fruit Loops. Give them a chance to play video games or read a book and they'll all play Fortnite. When they think that they can change to be a man/woman, they think that they're gonna be able to have kids and be a dad/mom. That's not the case. They'll give up their chance to be a biological parent and have a family before they're old enough to even remotely understand the full consequences of their actions. People are changing through every stage of their life. I've heard it said many a time that most people don't truly become their own person until they're 30. At 8? Forget it. Even at 18 most people aren't mature enough to make that kind of choice.2 points

Stupid. People die in their homes/at the mall/on the street/other places all the time. Nobody is left there till they stink; they're transported to the morgue. They maybe do an autopsy and maybe find out what killed them, or maybe not. To distrust the numbers because you haven't found dead people in the street is ridiculous.2 points

20 years ago I felt the same as you but the other way. I was concerned we'd be sliding down the same right-wing rat hole the US is descending into. Thankfully it's provided a good reason for Canadians to give pause to consider. I know you don't believe it but I don't want to sic a left wing tyrant on you or mandate it climb on your back or make your life miserable. You know all that stuff I say about outlawing in-camera lobbying, if it was up to me I'd souveil governments to an even greater extent than they surveil us. I'd souveil left-wing governments even more closely for the simple reason I wouldn't want them cocking things up by committing overtly stupid or corrupt things that might cause a populist backlash, especially a right-wing one. In the meantime you'll have to forgive me for being amused at the authoritarian personality you poor deluded fools ascribe to me. You'd be surprised at the freebooting get-the-fuck-off-my-back spirit I actually possess. There is zero doubt in my mind any government you'd put in place would just as happily squelch that spirit as Trudeau's. In China, Russia or any number of other dictatorships our governments accommodate and are more than happy to do business with I'd be disappeared just on general principles.1 point

indeed but web polls let anyone vote on them so they biased in favor of causes that are far more popular on the internet than in real life and the website who does the poll has an audience bias too for example Ron Paul used to win all the online polls after every debate still never came anywhere close to winning the Republican nomination beware of web polls no matter the sample size1 point

"Those baaad ol' truckers are rude and inappropriate!" LOL1 point

That is precisely my point. Polls do not indicate anything useful unless you counter for biased samples and use massive sample sizes.1 point

Well, so far, the only real, documented violence has not come from the truckers. In Winnipeg last night, a paper-masked driver ran down 4 protesters.1 point

Don't spread false info. Latest Abacus poll only yesterday indicted two-thirds of Canadians do not support the illegal occupation of their Capital by these crowd and 57% think their behavior has been rude and inappropriate. Ottawa residents should join and file a class action lawsuit to claim the ten million dollars from Go Fund Me and an immediate injunction to freeze the funds until the lawsuit is settled. The money could be used to compensate citizens for all the threats, abuse, assaults, loss of income of businesses, defacing the downtown property, a very loud noise effecting the health and well-being of the citizens, and disruption of the lives of Ottawa citizens and reimburse the taxpayers for policing costs. The steady noise is a major offense. This is nothing more than an American-inspired, Jan. 6, type of Trumpster occupation. The similarities are too great to ignore. Trump has already thrown his support behind the anarchists which further proves a connection. In addition to the massive amounts of anonymous money donated to GFM, most of which likely came from American Trumpsters. According to this article, the chances of a peaceful end to this occupation may have already passed. Ottawa protest battle lines harden on both sides amid concerns chance for peaceful end has passed (msn.com)1 point

Tsk...the local liberals had their feelings hurt. The army of bureaucrats in Centertown are scared to go outside. People who work...at home. I bet even Ubereats is taking way too long. Oh GAWD the emotional agony. Can you say...'wet noodle'? Donations are being returned. Guess people will have to donate another way. The police have their hands tied. These 'dumb truckers' have been pleasant and in good spirits. Hell they had a big street party last night with fireworks and all. Sure looks like a lot of people agree with the truckers. Who knew... The CTV...apparently the conservative national news...has a coloured lady on claiming the police are racist because they haven't been arresting people. Our 2 major news networks are pathetic.1 point

And Fuck off to you too idiot. You are such a fucking idiot that cannot debate in a civilized manner you *** ** .*** **** I said the Prime Minister of Canada has said no plan for call on the Army in the cards but in my view as a last resort if they start rioting or attack people and destroy property them Army can be called upon to restore law and order and protect citizens. It is the responsibility of every government to protect its citizens especially when foreign interference and funding is involved to cause riot and disturbances.1 point

Downtown Ottawa is under siege. Federalis have sent in the RCMP, and they've locked the core completely down with concrete barriers. Problem is that it just takes a few more trucks to pile up along the roads there, and you have the same problem anyway and are choking off ever more of the city. It should be noted that Ottawa is in a strategically risky location, in that it is isolated from the rest of the country and accessible through only a few major roads. Although it might have been a good idea in the past to defend from US invasion by providing only one way in along highway 416, that bottleneck now makes it vulnerable to being chocked off from supply chains... by trucks.1 point

They learned that the hard way after OKA... Because Mr Chretien love the military, or so he said so... but Budget cuts , and slashing troop numbers was his way of showing his love...and he loved to show his love .... That would depend on what these Canadians did, and how it was sold to them, At OKA we were told they shot and killed unknown number of police officers, wounding many more, they had Machine guns, light anti tank wpns, and where that any more attacks from the feds they would take this war to the people... We were fed an line of made up bullshit, they laid it on to sell it, that this was the right thing to do, they did it because they knew some of us might be on those final attacks with live ammo... . Oka could have been dealt with another way...by politicians not warriors... In other operations it was different the bad guys were killing our soldiers, it was you or them, you had to kill to survive. Doing your job had become normal some how. But domestic ops are always the hardest1 point
