You mean like closing the borders made no since early in the crises, but was later changed to yes close the borders....Closing down air traffic made no sense to the government early in the crises, then later it was the thing to do....lots of examples that clearly show they could have acted early,. They made up some of that science as they went....2 points

And who criticizes the minorities here for their racism? Because in my experience there's a lot more of it and it's more blatant than among white Canadians. Two thirds of visible minorities are immigrants from third world countries where racism and homophobia are absolutely normal, accepted, unpunished, and routine in all aspects of society. You think they abandon that when they show up at our door? The media are like vultures, dropping on any sign of racism or homophibia they can find and screaming it to the world. What was the big story on the CBC the other day? A crazy man pushed another man to the ground after shouting at him and then walked away. Yup. That was it. Because the crazy man was white and the victim was Asian. The routine interplay of unsocialized or drunk or crazy people in a big city gets blown up to major importance whenever race is involved - but only if the guilty party is white. The media is extremely reluctant to ever mention non-white racism or homophobia or antisemitism.2 points

A rifle round may over penetrate and end up in your neighbour's kid - where a pistol round may not. A hunting rifle is also difficult to maneuver in close quarters. In small, confined spaces, where there may be multiple assailants who are armed with CQC weapons (handguns, knives, etc)- not being able to properly utilize your self-defense-weapon(TM) of choice can prove deadly. Cut the demand? There isn't really a demand for many types of firearms because of the uncertainty of Canadian firearm legislation. South of the border is a different story but you'll never see that demand cut. That's semantics anyway. Handguns and multiple-round firearms have been around for a century. These things have been "in circulation" for that long. In addition, if a criminal organization requires something - they will not let commercial production stop them. They can make it themselves. It's very old and simple technology. If they can't make it, well - criminal organizations tend to have very strong logistics and supply chains. Your proposed changes are very questionable in regards to what they accomplish. There are over 2 million licensed firearm owners in Canada. Every year, year after year, the (non-suicide) death rate due to firearms has been around 600 - the majority of which are gang related. 37 mil Canadians. Several mil firearms. +2 mil licensed firearm owners = 600 deaths. They are tragic but we're talking about an almost statistical rounding error. Canada does not have a firearm problem. As for easier to kill people with guns, let me remind you of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_van_attack2 points

The real failure between the Canadian government and the natives is that we give them too much. They pay no tax if they live on the reserves, or if they're in the military, and they get free money from the gov't free housing, free tuition, free everything. They grow up knowing that they don't have to get a good education in order to survive and as a result they're de-motivated. Those people survived the frozen arctic and the harsh prairie winters without gas and electricity for ten thousand years before we got here. If that couldn't kill them what can? Gov't handouts, apparently. They'd be way better off if they grew up knowing that they had to work hard for everything they got. Side note: If those incarceration rates are correct, there are 140 Canadians locked up per 100K, and 733 Americans locked up per 100K. 5x as many. African Americans compared to the avg Canadian - 15x as high. America is jail-crazy.2 points

Former Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull has written an autobiography, and in it he talks about how Trudeau suddenly backed out of the TPP deal at the last minute, while all the other leaders were waiting for a photo op. It certainly makes a mockery of Trudeau's braggging that 'Canada's back!" on the international scene, and goes some distance to explaining why Canada really doesn't have much in the way of friends anymore. Former Australian prime minster Malcolm Turnbull has accused Justin Trudeau of “humiliating” other world leaders during negotiations for a revamped Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal in 2017. In a just published autobiography, Turnbull said he personally felt let down by Trudeau and upbraided him for embarrassing other world leaders when he failed to show up for a critical meeting. Turnbull said he was scheduled, by coincidence, to meet with Trudeau after the no-show and the Canadian prime minister seemed more interesting in talking about his socks than the previous meeting. “Justin always wore perfectly tailored suits that fitted like a glove, bright socks and on this occasion two-tone shoes,” wrote Turnbull. “‘What do you think of the socks?’ he asked, crossing his legs as he sat down. ‘Justin,’ I said, ‘we’re not here to talk about your socks’.” https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/worried-about-offending-trump-flaky-trudeau-humiliated-fellow-leaders-during-tpp-trade-talks-former-aussie-pm1 point

It's an organization that has a communist as its head, regurgitates talking points of the communist party of China, and refuses to let Taiwan join. I say, defund them, leave, and start a new organization that include the country of Taiwan (Republic if China). Disallow the commies or other authoritarian regimes (such as Saudi Arabia, which kills gay people) from joining.1 point

Majority of what CNN and MSNBC says about Trump and the GOP is true. I don't think that's their problem. The problem is that they don't show the same scruitany when they talk about the Democrats. Especially the Democrats who are part of the establishment (Biden, Clinton, Obama).1 point

Marocc can you show me where modern-day [or past] Buddhist governments commute the death penalty on people for blaspheming against Buddha? Where they kill gays or sentence them to life in prison? [google pakistan] Can you cite some recent examples of terrorist attacks by Buddhists? [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_March_2016 pick any month, there are always 100 or more by muslims in any one month] Can you name any large countries that were formed by a Buddhist terrorist organization in the last 5 years which burned people alive, drowned them, beheaded journalists and committed genocide? You have over 100M skeletons in your closet and you're talking about what's in Martha Stewart's crawl space Marocc. It's insane. If you want to start a thread about someone else's bigotry, sorry but a dose of reality is in order. How do you account for the massive amount of government-sanctioned bigotry in almost every muslim country on earth? Racism in Canada is like "Someone said bad words to me when I was in grade 7". Bigotry in almost every muslim country that you can name is like "That bitch deserved to be gang-raped because she wasn't wearing a hijab. The police will laugh at her." Am I wrong? I can cite where women just went to jail in Iran for taking off their own hijabs. Are you kidding me, talking about racism in Canada?1 point

Where's the ROFLMAO icon when you need it most. Trump is a globalist. He's defunded WHO because he screwed up and needs to place blame elsewhere.1 point

It's the likes of globalists like Gates, Zuckerborg, Bloomborg and so many other billionaires and families from that deep state tribe cabal who are the ones that do run this world, and do enjoy making all of our lives miserable as hell. They thrive on division and racism where they can just people hating one another and then slide right up the middle and win. If it were not for that scum the world would be a lot better place to live in where poverty, hunger and wars would not prevail. Racism will never be defeated until one starts to see as to who is behind it all. Sadly, there are not that many smart enough people around in the world. So this shit will be going on for decades to come. Rumor has it that the end game is a new world order and a one world communist government with China leading the way. I believe that it said somewhere in the bible where it says to be beware of the yellow race. Indeed today, we better heed that little warning from the bible about the yellow race because it would appear as though the yellow race are slowly taking over the world. They are buying up everything and starting to control everything.1 point

Trudeau could not care about shooting rampages or firearms related deaths. He cares about votes, and appealing to left wing voters. He passed new gun control legislation in 2018 and has yet to implement it. Why? Because actually implementing it wasn't the point. The point was to be seen to be passing more gun control legislation to please progressives and liberals.1 point

Why do blacks born and raised in America keep calling themselves African Americans? They are not African, they are American. I thought that when someone is born in America they are now Americans. I guess that the reason why blacks like to call themselves African American is that they do not want or like to call themselves an American. They remind of the Indians in Canada. Both of them appear to hate the countries that they were born in. Sadly, I am now starting to wonder these days as to what country am I living in now? It certainly does not look like the old Canada that I was brought up in 50 years ago. I cannot imagine what Canada will look like in another 50 years. There appears to be not much point in standing on guard for Canada anymore. Aw well, what more can be said.1 point

He doesn't give a damn about making sure it never happens. It's pure political posturing and grandstanding on his behalf. Like everything he does he's just going for the low hanging fruit while ignoring the real problem. And as usual he's been caught plain outright lying about the subject. Like the time he claimed you can just walk into a store and purchase a firearm without a license, or when he claimed storage laws are lax. He prays on the ignorance of the general population regarding firearms and the applicable laws. He fear mongers with his talk of "assault" rifles and weapons of mass destruction. Sadly, too many Canadians are gullible and take him at his word. The fact is that licensed firearm owners in Canada are three times less likely to be involved in criminal activity or illegal acts than the non firearm owning general public. The fact is that we have very stringent laws governing firearm ownership and storage in Canada. The fact is that legal firearms have never been a problem worthy of any note in Canada. This has absolutely nothing to do with public safety and everything to do with advancing his own personal agenda. As it always is with this detestable person.1 point

It's not what I need, it's not about can I shoot and kill a bear with just a bolt action rifle , none of those factors are even in todays firearms laws...Those laws on the books today are to encompass all fire arms owners, be it for hunting , sport, competition, or just to enjoy spending time on a range. You don't have to like any of those things, The way I see this is your infringing on those individual rights to own a legal fire arm...And I'm sure you would feel the same way if someone was attacking your hobby or way of life, or making a living from fire arms...This attack on firearms has been going on since they where invented, and where does it stop, when fire arms are no longer available in Canada...What is it going to take to satisfy your fear of fire arms... Canada's national firearms maker that makes our militaries small arms also sell these same wpns Assault rifles, in semi auto to the civilian population, thanks to your liberal government for allowing them to do that, and all to save jobs, because we will do anything to save jobs right....cut the demand and you'll cut production...what a load of crap...how did the NS shooter gain access to his wpns, with out a pal, How did all of that same thought process of restricting these items or ban them out right work for booze during prohibition, other than driving it under ground...thats what will happen with these wpns... Once again Cars kill more people than guns and I don't hear you screaming to ban them.....by more than 1000 times over guns...you don't need a trigger to kill someone... Stop letting your fear of firearms control your life...They are nothing more than tools, like a car... all my wpns are bolt action, and I don't own a hand gun. but then again so was the NS shooter armed with one hunting rifle , one shot gun and 2 pistols....and he managed to kill 23 people all with illegibly owned that is just like any other common criminal that has firearms , did current firearms laws keep any of those victims alive, or feel any safer … no they did not. So your plan of action is to punish those fire arm owners that legally own weapons' who already follow the law...., makes sense to me .….1 point

Maybe it is time to put a moratorium on all immigration from all countries. No more legal or illegal so called refugees allowed to enter Canada illegally. If they are caught then they must be sent back from whence they came. Besides, we have enough people here in Canada to keep the country going and growing for decades. There are just too many new immigrants and illegals in Canada who are not working at all. Why in hell does comrade Trudeau want to bring in another three million new immigrants into Canada in the next three years is f'n madness. And of course, the majority of them will be coming from refugee camps and non-western countries. Our dear comrade leaders have all gone insane.1 point

Slavery is one of the biggest trauma in history however if the focus is ONLY on the trauma's atrocities overcoming the actual trauma it will be so much harder. A lot of people come in Canada and succeed, a lot of people come and don't succeed and I guess is easier to have something or someone to blame for your failures. Is human nature. I am baffled how people in Canada and USA, or to say better the media always beats the drum of racism. I think at the end is all economics, it sells good to give people an excuse if their life is not going well. Instead of giving them motivation to succeed the press tends to just blame racism and that harms the individual. As a legal immigrant from Eastern Europe I came in with speaking limited English, there were comments made in high school, of course they were, but I kept my head down and learnt the language, got a job and pay my taxes. The press, immigrants, academia, SJW don't understand one concept. A lot of immigrants don't want to adapt in their new country and of course is hard for them because an equal reaction will come from the society. Is physics, equal action = equal reaction. My dad forbid me to speak my language in my house, just English and that helped me a lot to be accepted by the society. And regarding slavery, yes, it is probably one of the most disgusting things ever done by man to man however that still goes on in certain places of the Earth, like Africa. Maybe we should focus our energy there. In North America people can never move on to succeed if they focus on the pain of the past. Unless your a communist that has no respect for local traditions, everyone else should understand that the racism issue is not that much an issue but a propaganda machine to make some money by dividing people. The average person in every group just wants better economic situation, help them achieve that by motivation not by giving them an excuse to not try anymore and just "blame racism".1 point

This is nothing more than another liberal attempt at deflection of their excellent handling of the pandemic, and the dumping of hundreds of billions of tax payers dollars. In this case it will be tied into this recent shooting which it already has.....where the shooter had illegal firearms a hunting rifle, hand gun and shot gun, plus a RCMP hand gun, no mention of those nasty assault rifles, but they will some how be worked into the narrative somehow... ... it has nothing to do with overall safety of our citizens, but rather a feel good liberal exercise in further complicating the ownership of weapons.1 point

This is just an accusation disguised as a question Marocc. The question is predicated on your false assertion that Canadians are more racist than people in other places. That's patently false, so your initial question is just a weak attempt at hate mongering. How do I know it's false? Canadians don't kill our own people just for blasphemy. Canadians don't kill other Canadians because of their sexual orientation. It's highly illegal in Canada to physically attack other Canadians out of bigotry, and in cases where that does happen, a perpetrator can face as much as ten extra years in prison for their "hate crime". This is the will of the people. The majority. It is an accurate reflection of the average Canadian. Hence, I say that Canadians are less bigoted than a lot of other countries. A better opening question is, what's your problem with Canadians Marocc? What gives you the impression that Canadians are more racist than people from other countries? Do you feel like you're less racist than Canadians? Do you feel like you're less of a bigot than most Canadians? What your ethnic origin? Your religion, or lack thereof? Are people from your country, or your religion, the types to kill others for being different? Let's go Marocc.1 point

When I personal see hundreds of thousands of illegal so called refugees crossing into Canada illegally, and breaking our immigration laws w/o a care, and costing the Canadian taxpayer's hundreds of billions of their tax dollars going to those illegals, to feed, clothe and house them is no doubt one of the reasons why racism may be on the rise. Fear of different and belief in one's own superiority drives racism, everywhere, including in Islam majority countries and among Muslims. In countries where political leadership fails to take a clear and firm stance against racism of any kind, its worse. It's really not that hard to figure out, so I agree with whoever it was called this a troll post. And yeah, this issue is worse in Muslim-majority countries, so maybe confine yourself to asking why that is and what you can do about it, you being Muslim and all. Ciao.1 point
