Let's turn back to look at what God's inspired, preserved word tells us about that first deception of our first parents in the book of Genesis.

First God created everything and then created man and woman.

Here is the crux of the story.  This is how Satan deceived Eve.  He changed the wording of what God said, in effect contradicting what God had said.

"1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? {Yea…: Heb. Yea, because, etc.} 2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. "  Genesis 3:1-5  KJV

You see how the serpent (Satan) contradicted what God had said?  Eve fell for the lie and ate the forbidden fruit and gave some to her husband, Adam, and he ate also.

Sounds a bit like you have been deceived by the Prince of Liars,  Satan, also called a serpent in Genesis 3.

Seriously, I would recommend you start studying the King James Bible, which was originally written by the prophets and apostles that God inspired.  It is full of evidence that it was inspired by God.  It is no fairy tale.  I have often heard that claim by people who are spiritually dead.  You need to seek the truth from God, not from the Prince of this world, the Devil.  He will deceive you as long as he can and try to get you to accept his lies.

Read the gospel of John and learn how Jesus Christ is God and died for our sins.  He was crucified and three days later rose from the dead.  He was then seen by many eye witnesses proving he is who he said he is. 

All of the apostles died as martyrs, except for one, the Apostle John, for what they witnessed when they saw Jesus Christ.   Do you really think they would have died for a lie or fairy tale?  Of course not.  

"10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. "

I am not disagreeing with that idea.  There is truth in it.  But the reason human nature (or as you put it, our intelligence) has a tendency to lie is because of the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

They were our first parents and therefore we inherited the fallen, corrupt nature.  That includes the tendency to lie.  On top of that, there are demons who are at work deceiving people.  We should realize there is a material world in which we live and there is a spiritual unseen world as well.  Turn to God in Jesus Christ and ask him to reveal these things to you in his written revelation, in English, the King James Bible/Authorized Version.  If you become born again by faith in Jesus Christ, you will not be totally under the control of these demonic beings.  God is far more powerful than Satan and his demons.

You can even download the King James Bible.  Search for it, download it and install it and you can refer to it anytime and read it as much as you like.  There are free copies available on the internet.  Of course it is wise to have a hard copy of the Bible.  Amazon is a good source.  But be sure it is the King James Bible;  modern versions are corrupt.

We can see the world is divided between two classes of people.  Those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are part of God's kingdom and those who do not, but are deceived by the prince of the power of the air, the Devil otherwise known as Satan.  He has a vast army who follow him as well, called demons.  Those who are deceived are still in an unregenerate state (spiritually dead) and need to be born again according to the gospel of John.  I try to be patient and explain what this is all about.  Read the New Testament with an open mind and you will learn the details and hopefully become born again.

You ever heard of the Occam's razor? Tiger will use its power, brutal force to take his food from a weaker one. And a human will use their mind and tongue. This is the only difference. Did tigers and pretty much all of the animal world somehow fall from divine grace too? Trees that take light from shorter and smaller species? Bacteria that want to consume all the nutrients without regard for others who may need them? All of this works only on the principles of science, thermodynamics, physics, chemistry and doesn't need fairy tale books for it to work. Big difference between animals and humans.

As you can see God created man in his image.  Not physically, but in a certain sense, with the powers of reason for one thing and with a soul and a spirit.  So man is a special creation of God.  God loves man and that's why God created man as his image.

That is why we should not think of man as just another animal.  We are not an animal.  We have been given a soul that will live forever.  We have also been given free will to decide whether we will believe God as he has spoken to us in his written revelation.  Then he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, because God loves us and he offers in return eternal life if we will believe on his Son and accept him as our Lord and Savior.

Yes,  God has chosen to give man revelation in two ways:

1.  By nature we observe God's creation.

The Bible is a spiritual book.  You cannot understand it by natural man thinking.  You must ask God to give you a spiritual mind.  It cannot be discerned by the spirit of the world.   You can only know the things of God by the Spirit of God.

Nobody is sinless except Jesus.  If you think you're perfect and will go to heaven without being saved, you are sadly mistaken.  If you are an unsaved sinner and think you can judge others, you are sadly mistaken.  As the Bible says "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".  Nobody gets into heaven or receives eternal life in the fallen state.  The only way is to be born again so your sins are forgiven.  That doesn't mean you will be perfect.  Nobody in this world is.  If you are waiting to see the perfect person, you will never see it.  Determining what you believe on the basis of what you see in other people is a hopeless effort.  Truth is not based on what you see in others.  Truth is what God spoke in his word, the KJV Bible.
