“Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, wrongfully accused by Rudolph W. Giuliani of having tried to steal votes from Donald J. Trump in Georgia, were awarded the damages by a federal court in Washington.

Over hours of emotional testimony, Ms. Freeman and Ms. Moss described how their lives had been completely upended after Dec. 3, 2020, when Mr. Giuliani first suggested that they had engaged in election fraud to tilt the result against Mr. Trump in Georgia, a critical swing state.

The women, who are Black and are mother and daughter, were soon flooded with expletive-laden phone calls and messages, threats and racist attacks, they testified. People said they should be hanged for treason or lynched; others told them they fantasized about hearing the sound of their necks snapping.“

Unfortunately they will be lucky to get half of that award. Giuliani will certainly declare bankruptcy and probably IS.

Hope somebody tracked the money he collected from Trump's fundraiser.

Well… if he hides his assets, he goes to prison.

He will have to sell his fancy-schmancy New York City Condo, for starters. But the whole thing was just bizarre. He continually refused to turn over evidence and refused to provide any financial disclosures. The guy was a Federal Prosecutor, so he knew perfectly well the ramifications of doing it. Either he’s deranged or he’s wracked with anxiety over the lawsuit.

As of August his condo was already on the market. Has had to reduce the price by $400K to a little over $6M. Not close to what he owes. Maybe some MAGA CULT rube will help him out.

well sunshine I omitted a 't' and you countered with an omitted 'r'

More like you replaced a 't' with an 's' to come up with a word that makes no sense in that context:

Quote

extorsion

noun

: outward rotation (as of a body part) about an axis or fixed point compare INTORSION

OTOH, at least 'you' makes sense.

These lawsuits are just another sad reminder of how much of a banana republic the US has become.

The FBI committed crimes to make Carter Page look like a Russian asset, put him in a position where Page had to publicly reveal that he spied on Russia for the US to defend his own reputation - which obviously places him in danger of retribution from Russia - and yet his lawsuit was thrown out.

If Trump and the GOP had the FBI committing crimes against people, you know damned well that everyone involved would be crucified.

You'd better stay out then since you believe people can defame you and your suffering won't be punished cause you're a conservative. LMAO

How does Page suffer "retribution from Russia"? You mean he won't get to hobnob with Putin anymore?

Probably better for him not to, cause Putin might take him hostage.

At least the MAGA CULT won't be phoning him death threats.

Trump had a whole assortment of individuals committing crimes against people and of course trying to steal the 2020 election, only a smaller number have been punished to date.

It's one thing to be an lying, spiteful, a-hole I'm the political arena, but another level entirely for powerful people to attack and destroy the lives of innocent, regular citizens.

The scumbag deserves this judgment richly. I wish he weren't already broke so that these poor women could get some actual compensation.

Giliuani isn’t broke. If he were, he would have provided a financial disclosure as ordered by the court.  He’s obviously hiding his assets.

An example of a whole assortment of individuals committing crimes to steal an election was the Russian collusion show trial, where several members of the FBI were fired, demoted and/or criminally charged, and the Dems hijacked the DOJ for three years just to keep their Big Lie going.
