  1. Seeing that this place is filled to the brim with politics buffs it has made me curious to see where you guys score on this test: "Moral Foundations Theory, developed by psychologists Jonathan Haidt and Craig Joseph, suggests that there are innate and universal psychological foundations underlying human morality. According to the theory, people's moral judgments are based on six primary foundations. In this test, you will be presented with a statement, and then will answer with your opinion on the statement from a range of Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree, with each answer slightly effecting your scores. Your final scores will be shown as a percentage for each foundation." I don't put too much faith in the legitimacy of the test, as I don't with any personality or political test for that matter. Either way, here is my results (along with the link): https://moralfoundations.github.io/
  2. Maybe it is just me, but I am suspicious of anyone who isn't jewish or muslim who strongly takes a "side" on the Israeli Palestine conflict, which is largely a tribal/etholinguistic/ethonreligous issue more than it is an ideological issue or a clear aggressor vs victim scenario. If you are ethincally or religiously jewish and support israel out of ingroup-preference, fine understood. If you are muslim/arabic and support palestine out of ingroup-preference , fine understood. Anyone else however is trying to make a strong one-sided moral claim on an issue that largely comes down to two ethnic groups wanting to annihilate each-other.
  3. What Ontario, no, scratch that, Canada as a whole needs is to reinvest into its R&D. Our Manufacturing is currently among the lowest of any developed country. We export more raw materials than we refine oureselves.
  4. I've been told that the Russian targeting of Ukrainian farmland as a means of attrition during the war every spring leads to increases grain stocks in other countries as the demand for global grain remains the same but the supply goes down since Ukraine is a major grain exporter. However, I have seen no proof of this, at least regarding the grain stocks I have looked at. Could someone help me out with this?
  5. Title says it all. I personally thinking reducing immigration would be a start, but it would also help to reduce zoning and building height regulations especially for Urban Centres. Greater subsidies of public housing would honestly be a lot better too.
